BEWARE. Reposting this since they deleted my first review. Went to get my winter tires installed here, and they told me my 2018 Subaru Crosstrek with 38k miles needed the CVT fluid replaced for $209, and my rear brakes were at 2 mm and they could replace them for $525. Went to Flatirons Subaru right after, and they said the CVT fluid is good for 100,000 miles unless you’re towing, and that my rear brakes were at 5 mm and didn’t need to be replaced. These guys will waste your time and money!

Dropped my car off for a simple oil change and they called me back saying my ignition cylinder (the part you put your key into) was broken and my car wouldnt start. They then justified the issue by saying it could happen at any time and said, Its a good thing this happened here at the shop and not out on the road. The cause of the issue was found to be a bent pin in the ignition cylinder. While its possible that out of the hundreds or even thousands of times Ive started my car this issue just so happened to occur the ONE time they started my car, it is also a possibility that they jammed my key into the ignition, bent a pin, and then put the blame on me. My original $100 oil change turned into an $811, week long ordeal.

I have a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer and it has needed a few things done the last couple years. Fuel gauge replacement, oil flush, oil change, struts, shocks, ball joint replacement, sensor replacement. All repairs have been done well and the truck is running great.

If you need a good, honest, and professional repair shop in the Boulder area, GO HERE! I have had massive amounts of work performed by Legacy. They are the real deal. They dont upsell and will let you know what needs to be done now and what can wait a while. A GREAT shop.

Legacy was great! I had to get my car in for an alignment after I did my own suspension work. I had to change the plans a lot since the work wasnt going as planned. They were very accomodating with time. I got my car in for the alignment and 2 hours later they were done! They told me the price prior and the price afterwards was exactly what they told me it would be. Very courteous and professional. Will certainly recommend them to others and be back for other work I need a shop to do for me!

Ange (Angie) is fantastic at explaining what needs to be done and in what priority. Its an auto shop where women customers are treated with respect and patience. The mechanics have done a skilled job keeping our 99 Jeep on the road. The waiting area is clean and comfortable. I absolutely recommend Legacy.

Fantastic service, Ive called and they have gotten me in same day for emergency repairs. Very professional and will not try to sell you on repairs that you dont need. I went to another mechanic in town before I found Legacy and they tried to tell me that I needed expensive repairs (that I know I didnt need). Then I brought it to Legacy and theyve been great to me ever since.

My air conditioner was blowing warm air and the dealership couldnt find the problem, so I turned to Legacy Automotive to see what the problem was and they fixed the issue the same day I took it in. Ive always relied on Legacy to find the tougher problems and they came through again. Honest, reliable, and quick service, especially when the dealerships cant resolve the issues.

I love Legacy Motors. Ever since I brought my 1989 Jeep Cherokee in when it needs repair, I always know that it is in good hands. The staff there is so friendly and understanding. I recommend this mechanic to anyone with an older vehicle. They will take such good care of it.

I am new to the area so when I needed service I went to the local dealer. That was a huge mistake. I was told my gas tank needed to be replaced and The straps holding the tank in were ready to give out and they said it couldn’t be fixed. I was not happy. I had read many positive reviews of Legacy Automotive so I when I picked up my car from the dealer, I drove it directly to Legacy. I didn’t have an appointment but just left it there and asked if it was a lost cause. To my delight I am still tooling around in my “ arrest me, I’m yours “ bright red 1990 BMW 535i. They tried to have my gas tank fixed but that was a no go but they found an OEM gas tank and straps. I highly recommend them.

Very suspicious... after taking my car to Legacy, a day later my engine light turns back on, and now when I sit at a red light, my car violently shakes. This is a car that went in just for brakes. While there, they tried charging me for an additional 900 dollars of services, of which I called my trusted mechanic from back home, and they told me they were classic money suck techniques.If that wasnt enough, somehow the weather proofing seemingly got damaged, because while before taking my car, in the pouring rain there were no problems, but immediately after taking my car to legacy, my sun roof and passenger side door leaked HEAVILY, flooding my passenger side. Im confused, because I trusted and liked the people. No longer. I will absolutely be finding somewhere else.

Tiffany got me an appointment for when the owner would return from a vacation because I had a check engine light start staying on in my car. My car was fixed, the oil changed and new winter wiper blades installed within 3 hours. What I love about Legacy is that they have cars available for you to use while yours in being repaired. They have my business forever.

Best auto expressive ever. I go back again and again (multiple older vehicles lol) because Josh always provides excellent service. This last time I was there he replaced about 3 hard to reach light bulbs in my car for free just so that I could get rid of the warning light on the dashboard for burnt out lights.

I used to really like this place, but my last couple of visits have been seriously lacking in quality. After my last visit, a can of WD-40 was left inside my engine compartment. I didnt notice this until about 3 weeks after my service, when I parked in my garage and smelled something like burning plastic. When I located the can, most of the plastic top was melted against my engine. Hopefully there is no permanent damage.

Just picked up my audi a bit ago for clutch replacement. These guys are awesome! Tiffany at the front desk did a great job with on time updates, basically no hassle.They even fixed a small exhaust leak without even mentioning it or charging. I never do reviews but I had to say thanks!

Took my car in for an oil change and they gave me a list of “things that needed fixing”... a $3,500 list!! Got a second opinion at another place and only one thing on the list needed to be fixed. Saved myself $3,200 by getting a second opinion. Never going back.

I took my car in to have a full inspection to diagnose what was making a loud noise, and if it was worth putting the money into. (Assumed it was the breaks because of the noise when I reversed and the break dust on my tires.) Ended up paying $1000 for new brakes all around. The very next week 3 hoses blew and the radiator had multiple cracks. I would not trust an inspection from this place or put money into your car without getting another opinion. Now currently without a car as my car is not worth putting more money into.

Josh and his team are awesome! Highly recommend and Ill be bringing all my cars here from now on.

Originally recommended by Hoshii when I needed service ASAP, Ive since had lot of work done at Legacy on my Honda Civic, including a new AC unit, radiator, front brakes and rotors, and a ball joint. When the new AC unit turned out to be defective (a very rare occurrence), they replaced it the next day free of charge under the NAPA warranty. The prices are *extremely* reasonable, I saved hundreds if not a couple thousand dollars over the dealers service department. Expert mechanics, no nonsense, great prices. A local gem!

I spent over $800, and my car in and out of this shop for over 2 weeks only to finally get it back and 2 days later it broke down again. I dont think they actually fixed anything (well anything that was causing a major problem) and when I called them to let them know that they needed to fix this situation, all of my calls went unreturned. I would never recommend this place to anyone bc of the terrible customer service and their clearly incapable techs. But on top of everything, I had received a full service oil change which on my bill stated that they checked and topped off all my fluids but low and behold my car overheated several days after their supposed oil change and there was not a drop of coolant in my vehicle. Absolutely ridiculous. I wish I could get reimbursed for the obvious nonsensical and unnecessary repairs that they may or may not have performed. Very disappointed in this business.
