I’ve been going to Vision North for about 4 years now, and have always had really positive experiences. Carla is super warm and friendly, always does a great job of explaining the different exams, what they’re for, what the results mean, etc. The front desk and sales folks are also really helpful in explaining vision insurance benefits, the different options that are covered (frames, lenses, anti-glare/ scratch coatings, etc), and finding the best goes to fit the look and feel you’re going for.Before Vision North, “my eye doc” was whoever was convenient for me to get an appointment with. But…now… I do have “my eye doc.” Highly recommend Vision North!

Ive been so grateful for being able to get help from Dr. Bergstrom. She is so nice, patient, professional and caring about her patients. Thanks to her incredible medical expertise and experiences, I finally got a best solution to my long-time issues with wearing eye contact lenses, which I almost cant believe but its real! She precisely found out the underlying counter-intuitive reasons behind my issues and got me on a road of being so much comfortable wearing contact lens. I chose this place on the basis of the reviews on here. For the most part, they lined up. The front desk team is excellent, friendly, thorough, happy to explain everything etc.The reason for the 3 rating is: I saw the male doctor first. He was running really late and didn’t see me until almost 30 mins after my scheduled time. That’s okay, these things happen. However the exam felt rushed. Sure enough, when I got the glasses home ten days later, one of the prescriptions was incorrect in that it was not the best one for my vision.So, I called up, made another appointment, took time off work again, went back in and this time was seen by the female doctor. What a different experience. Friendly, very thorough, used more tests than the first time and then when she thought we had the prescription right she had me sit at her desk to look at the computer and ensure it was all as it should be, which it was, because she didn’t rush it.The extra time she took with me and the care she took to get it right gives me confidence I will now have the correct prescription. It just shouldn’t have taken a second round which inconvenienced me at a busy time and ended up costing them time and money in having to do it again.

I cannot recommend this eye doctor more. The office is extremely clean and comfortable feeling. I had never worn contacts before and came for a fitting. Dr. Cayla Bergstrom was absolutely wonderful. She was patient and understanding as I was extremely nervous. She let me drive the appointment and did what made me feel most comfortable. The other staff is also very friendly and willing to help. There is also a wide variety of glasses to choose from as well. Come here if you can!

The absolute best eye place I’ve been to!!! They are the nicest people and they answered every question I had and every service I wanted done exceptionally. I even got sample contacts, contact solution, and got my glasses adjusted. This place is amazing! I highly recommend it!!!

He takes the time to explain what he is doing and why during the exam. I fully trust in his assessment as he shows how much he cares for his patients. Staff at Vision North we’re very courteous, pleasant and efficient. The doctor was very thorough in her exam of my eyes and explaining changes in my eyesight and prescription strength. The optician who served me while I selected new frames optimised how my insurance paid for my glasses which resulted in an overall lower out of pocket expense for my 2 new glasses. They did a great job.

Paul and his entire staff are always interested in providing the best care. Paul has obviously made it clear that customer satisfaction is critical. Definitely worth the long trip from the North Shore

Called early one morning due to a torn contact that I couldn’t remove from my eye. The staff were extremely friendly and got me in within 15 minutes of my call and removed the torn piece from my eye. Great service and super friendly.

My husband and I have been going to Vision North for almost a decade and love it. We tried a new eye doctor when we moved to the south shore but it didn’t compare so we happily make the trek into the North End.

Dr. Cangiano is great! He’s knows all his patients well and is very communicative throughout the entire visit. I’ve been seeing him for years and plan to continue that way.

I showed up about 10 minutes before my appointment. Took me in exactly on time. All high tech equipment and very detailed. If you park in hay market parking you get validated! If you just want to find a spot on the street it’s Boston so go in an hour early to give yourself time to find a spot but avoid Tuesday’s as street cleaning happens.

From start to finish extremely pleasant experience! Woman on the phones to book the appointment was a doll, my doctor was so sweet and smart, and the optician was super efficient! I was in and out in 30 minutes! Highly recommend.

Amazing Service!!I have never had such a thorough exam. I had a question regarding vision correction surgery and Doctor took the time go over why it isn’t the right way to go for me. The dependencies and future results.Doc further advised on some good practices to incorporate in my work routine so my eyes are not as stressed. It was refreshing to see a doctor take the time needed and go over my concerns.

Dr. C is outstanding. Takes plenty of time to do a complete diagnosis and then explains everything with great care and expertise.

Horrible costumer service. The manager, Chris, is a horribly rude and disrespectful. He spoke over me and did not want to listen to a single concern I was having and he told me to go elsewhere to get my contacts. The way he belittled me felt like I am a child being scolded by my mother. I have never felt so disrespected before by a so called professional. I will do as he said and happily go anywhere else but here.

Dr. Bergstrom is phenomenal. I just moved to Boston so this was my first time at Vision North, looking for my new ophthalmologist. The office blew it out of the water. I was also looking for prescription sunglasses and Kelly is a wizard. In minutes, she picked out frames that were almost exactly what I have previously spent hours choosing. The whole process took her 6 minutes while we were waiting for my eyes to dilate.Front desk staff are fantastic over the phone, optometrists are very good at their jobs, and the doctor is great! This was the best eye doctor experience I have had.

Good clean nice looking place. Got to my appointment 30 minutes early, so obviously had long late. Appointment didn’t start till 5 minutes late though, I’d like it to be on time especially if I’m early. Doctor was great and helpful though, answered all my questions and got me in and out once appointment started.

I got a new pair of glasses here. I spent some time (probably only 2mins) trying the new pair of glasses when picking it up, just to make sure it’s comfortable and fits well. But the staff member (the large looking guy) became very impatient, and made me feel it’s my problem if the glasses don’t fit well.When I put on the glasses and shaked my head a little bit to make sure the glasses are not too loose and won’t slip, he YELLED at me “It’s going to fall off if you keep shaking”. Instead of helping me trying the new glasses, he kept asking me which pair of glasses I want to wear on my way back home. His rude attitude made me feel being interrogated. Yep, that’s like what you see in a movie when police interrogate a crime suspect.I know you have good reputation and other staff members are professional and friendly. Maybe this staff member had a bad day, but I don’t think any customer should be treated this way. I have been to other optical shops but this is the worst expierence I have so far.

He has been very patient with me, someone who asks a ton of detailed questions with pros and cons to evaluate my health decisions. He takes the time to explain not only the medical options, but also how best to care for my eyes on a practical level. I trust him with my eyes. The office is well appointed, clean and crisp. The eye wear ranges from traditional to hip . I have always found the staff friendly and efficient, like a Swiss watch. Its a pleasure to visit and browse..

Dr. Cangiano has been my eye doctor for years. He is very professional and knowledgeable. He doesn’t rush through his work. It’s obvious he genuinely cares about the health of his patients.

I struggled to find the right contact lenses. I visited another local optometrist in Beacon Hill who did not seem to care about making the extra effort to find the right solution and as a result I gave up on contacts for a long period. Dr. Cangiano was very patient and knowledgeable. We did a month of trials until I found the correct approach for my eyes. I highly recommend Vision North.

Dr. Bergstrom is super knowledgeable and precise when explaining the different eye exams that I got done for a Lasik consultation. She was also aware of my insurance and knew the pricing for Lasik, which is huge plus because not very many doctors pay attention to that sort of thing. Shes very personable and friendly as well, which provided a great atmosphere for someone like myself who gets anxious when thinking about surgery.

Dr. Bergstrom was fantastic! It was my first eye exam in a long long time but she made me feel comfortable and encouraged me to take my time deciding between which lenses I could see most clearly. Front desk staff was also nice and I really liked their text feature where I could easily text in my questions and fill out all the forms online ahead of time.

First visit for a new patient eye exam, was actually enjoyable. Friday noon appt, waited about 10 min (booked in advance online, plenty of time slots). Dr. Bergstrom was very personable and answered all my questions. We busted some myths that I had about vision problems growing up (e.g. genetics determine eye structure determine prescription, not the amount of time you spend looking at a screen). Was fast and easy to reschedule my appt via text
