I love this local Cafe in the heart of North end. This place speaks of history, culture and heritage. This Cafe has thrived in this locality since 1920s. They have their old machines on display. In terms of food and drinks, they have really good desserts and coffee or dessert cocktails. I wish they had savory snack items to break the sweet taste and allow us to enjoy the sweet more. They only accept cash so make sure to take cash with you!

While standing on the sidewalk nearby, I observed an employee follow customers out of Caffe Vittoria after they had bought coffees and tell then they could not sit at Caffe Vittorias outdoor seating while drinking the beverages they had just purchased because they also had with them pastries they had bought next door at Mikes Pastry (which, by the way, has earned its legendary reputation with delicious pastries, great prices, and excellent customer service). When the customers pointed out that they were consuming beverages they had *just bought* from Caffe Vittoria, the employee told them they had to throw away their pastries from Mikes or leave. Once she had run off her own customers, she walked back into Caffe Vittoria loudly asking herself whats wrong with these people?Im glad I didnt make the mistake of supporting the rude, irrational people at Caffe Vittoria like these people had.

A quaint little spot to grab an Italian coffee and pastry. I especially loved seeing all of the espresso machines that the caffe has collected to display. This caffe really reminded me of being back in Italy. You could walk into a bar, grab a quick coffee, say hello to friends, and then run off to continue your day. At Caffe Vittoria, much of the same was happening. Locals were stopping in to say hello and get their morning coffee. We stopped in hoping to enjoy breakfast pastries and a coffee. We have young children, and this isnt an ideal place to stop if youre worried about getting them something to eat also. The pastries are all rather dessert-like, except of course the biscotti. We ordered a cappuccino, americano, and a Napelatano. The pastry was yummy and very rich. The coffees were perfect. Its definitely a great place to stop for a coffee break and to have a seat and watch some of the world go by.

I was a little bummed out by the service. I ordered a single cappuccino but it took 15 minutes to come. When I said I was in a slight rush to get to church, the larger waitress with the dyed blonde hair was crabby about getting the bill to me quickly. Overall, the employees were slightly unwelcoming and had poor attitudes toward the customers - I witnessed this with other tables as well. I liked my cappuccino - it was unique with the cocoa powder! I just didn’t need it to be served with that side of sass.

Quite disappointing. We love the North End, the vibe, the pretty flower lined streets humming with people, the fun cafes and authentic Italian restaurants. The interior is unique, and the location is great, the prices are comparable to similar places for this location. The coffee is well below average for any venue that claims to be traditional Italian, the cappuccino looked good but was watered down (as if the same beans were used twice), the double espresso looked and tasted like a watered down Americano made out of old low quality cheap beans, the floors countertop and other surfaces were dirty, the staff was congregating leisurely in front of the tables chatting loudly while people were waiting for service, cash only and no receipt when requested. It sure seems like the staff is counting on the location, high traffic and high prices, and couldnt care less about the quality of anything. This is the second time weve had the same observations and I dont think there will be a third, given the wealth of awesome coffee shops with high quality espresso drinks and descent service in Boston.

I took some food from Mikes Pastry, and wanted a nice place to eat it. Since Vittoria was just next door, with some tables outside, I stepped in to order some coffee to go with Mikes cannoliThe place was mostly empty, waitresses were either on their phones, or chatting idly, and the nearest one asked if I wanted my order to go, or dine in. When I said dine in, she said I can sit anywhere, but I am not allowed to eat anything from Mikes Pastry, eyeing the box we had from there.I was surprised at her attitude, but attributed to having a long day, and perhaps she dealt with a lot of people who sat on their table with Mikes pastries without ordering anything, eating and then leaving. So I politely asked if we can eat the pastries while having their coffee. She curtly said no, I can order from them and leave, and THEN eat from Mikes Pastry. This was simply not logical to me in any sense. I would have happily enjoyed their coffee/espresso to go with the pastries, and that would have made great sense given theyre right next door. But to take the complete opposite route is simply discouraging me as a paying customer, especially with the curt responses they had.
