Game World has consistently provided me an excellent customer service and shopping experience. Their staff, especially the west side location, have been so kind and welcoming each time that I go into the store and they consistently curate their items and website in a way that is accessible and entirely inoffensive. Game World is certainly one of my favorite parts about Bloomington. Thanks for being awesome!

I find myself writing another review over this mask issue. I was asked to don a mask again for a business. Which again, though I am vaccinated, I will wear one if a business provides the masks. However, here I am again describing another very unprofessional encounter with a young Employee by the name of Xavier. I asked for a mask and was told I could not shop without a mask. Xavier told me they did not have one to provide for me. I will continue to write negative business reviews and stand on what I believe. These young kids are so disrespectful over something so insignificant at this point. Businesses need to hire more professional front line employees. If youre going to impose a mask mandate for your business then 1. Provide proper training for employees to explain things in a more articulate and professional manner as well number 2. Provide the masks. Its your mandate at this point.

We have been visiting this local business. Im a big RockBand - Interactive/physical activity gaming fan. Ive been coming to the store over the past 3 years to run into gaming equipment. The return policy is the only thing I find difficult to navigate. Be sure you understand the return policy you acquire and test equipment you want to use. No major complaints!

Its an EXcellent place to shop for retro games and retro consoles! Even new consoles and hard to find games! I love going here

Its a pretty fun shop for new and old games alike. Unfortunately, if you want the good games on old systems like the n64 and the SNES, youd be better off looking on Ebay, as the selection for this classics is mostly the games not made by Nintendo or anyone of the good developers.

Went to walk into the building under the impression the mask mandate was lifted for all counties in Indiana and was met with a very rude tone from Elise, i mentioned i was from out of town and our mandate was lifted and she was obnoxiously rude telling me to leave and I need a mask, after i apologized and mentioned i misunderstood she proceeded to state regardless if mandate was lifted we would still have to wear masks, I think its a poor representation of the company by allowing a worker to be rude to customers when they simply didnt know something wasnt the same as their county. Elise was very unprofessional and rude and could have easily approached that situation better

Havnt been here in a while but found a game I wanted. If you want current games or older, they have them. Nintendo to ps5 and all that.

Everytime I go into this store to buy a brand new game. They never have it in stock. I usually wait for it to come in stock. I want to support my local store, but its hard to let it slide with bad practices. I am a collector. I collect all PlayStation games. I am tired of having to buy a replacement case because they ruin it with stickers. Just shove the sticker and paper in the sleeve. Also I quit going to GameStop because they sell toys, and now Gameworld is doing the same thing. I dont mind the movies. Very upsetting considering I have spent over a thousand dollars in the shop over the past year. Do better!

Great selection, love how organized the store was. Personal was very friendly. But those prices though, little on the high side. Been a collector for over 15 years very knowledgeable on prices of retro games.

Go here. They have an incredible selection of consoles and games. In the past I have found N64, PS2 and DS games all at a great price!

The hours state that they are open until 10pm on both their website and their store, yet they were closed by 9:30pm. Adjusting the stores hours would be highly recommended.

Great used game store with very helpful staff. They obviously only offered me $2 for a game I just bought new last week for $49 but thats how they have to operate to make money. They have great games at pretty darn good prices! I recommend.

Great game selection and the employees are always nice

Didnt have the game I was looking for, rude associate, not about the merchandise, but about the mask policy, mask fell down off my nose while I was struggling with my 2 yr old, he had already yelled at another customer about the same thing and then yelled at me a second time when I hadnt even noticed it had fallen due to struggling with my 2 yr old daughter who was flailing on the floor and trying to grab things off the shelves.

Now this is a very epic game store. The staff are nice and will help you find a game suitable for you if they have the time. The store is not very busy so lines are always short in my personal experience. They also sell games and accessories cheaper than most stores in Bloomington. They even play music from video games to make you feel at home! I personally LOVE Game World and it helped me get the games I want for a price I can afford during some tough times. I would reccomend this store to anyone who is looking for a more quiet, cheaper, and welcoming option when looking for games. :)

The employees are always very helpful. Not game guy but my boy is. But I like to look retro games they have because when I was a kid I had retro system Sega genesis. But me and my fiance go in there to get movies.

Only place in town with game consoles. The lady that waited on me was extremely nice and very beautiful.

I bought an Xbox 360 remote control from Game World.The staff were awesome and the shop super clean.The controller was pre owned but if it wasnt for the game world packaging youd never know it.Great price and when I got home the remote worked perfectly!Thanks Game World!

Awesome little game shop. Friendly and helpful staff. Wide selection of the hottest new titles as well as TONS of old-school classics (the reason I frequent this store myself!) from the OG Atari all the way up to current Gen systems.

Hours should have been changed a long time ago. Corona had been an issue for a long time.

A decent selection, although over priced compared to the competition in surrounding towns. The store is clean and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Their warranties can be a bit pricey as well. Optional membership offers pretty good benefits.

Its a game store. They buy and sell games. The folks in there are nice enough. Prices are pretty fair on used items. And they have a lot of vintage or retro games and platforms. Only game store in town that has a location on both East and west side of town, so that is kind of convenient.

As much as it pains me to say, I think these kind of stores are dying but that being said they still try their best here to help you. I will say they still often underspay for new/used games and their standards make no sense. I dont like that you have to have have a membership just to return a game that was just awful but I also understand. Their membership is worth it if youre looking to spend a lotta money there, otherwise, its better to shop online!

The staff is always friendly and never pushy (like some other game stores Ive been to), they always give me more than I expect for my trade-ins, and they have a really great selection of games! I always enjoy shopping at Game World.

This isnt a bad place to find old and new video games and consoles. I will have to say just dont expect a whole lot for your used equipment. The staff are very friendly though, and usually more than happy to help. Theres also a good selection of stuff for the gamer. Convenient locations as well.

I’ve been buying games from here for awhile and haven’t been disappointed. I recently sold a bunch of my old 360 games and was pleasantly surprised at how much I got back. Also, I purchased a used 360 in December and it stopped working 3 weeks later, I took it back and the manager credited my account for the full amount. All the employees are friendly and knowledgeable. :)

Great selection and decent prices on video games, consoles, and accessories. The service is always genuinely very friendly and helpful. They also buy games and accessories, but of course you wont get much for them. For $10 per year you can join their loyalty program to get discounts and bonuses, which is a good deal for regular customers but not worth it for occasional folks.

Been shopping here for about a year off and on. Love this store. Lots of classic stuff, great selection, and better trade values than some of the big box stores. (You know who I mean...)Ill keep shopping here with my kids for as long as I keep needing video games.

More than pleased they had some games that were ridiculously priced on eBay. That I couldnt find till I went there. Reasonably priced. Will be going there from now on for games.

Staff isn’t the best. I’ve gone in there a few times and the staff would look at me and not say a thing. Definitely made me feel like I was out of place, even tho I have worked for this place at one point. The assistant manager that was there when I worked there, was awesome but that was it. I’ve even called to get quotes on items and every time it was someone incredibly rude. Not gonna waste my time going back and in my opinion, no one else should either. The only reason I’m leaving 2 stars is because the selection they have is decent but not enough to deal with the rude employees.

Great selection of the oldies we all remember, from Atari to Xbox and everything in between. Consoles, games, accessories. Good prices and pretty knowledgeable staff. Especially Alan at the westside location.

Bad business RECOMMEND GAME STOP.I bought a X Box 360 from the store in Bedford which had recently closed up shop. And the guy their told me i had 30 days to return it, which was a lie.so here i am stuck with junk that only worked for a day maybe 2...And the manager at this store will not..i repeat WILL NOT refund your money also will not give you his manager info in fear of losing his precious job.

Check out the return policy before buying ANYTHING. I wasn’t told the return policy at all this is why small business fail and it’s really sad. I loved that this was close to my house and now I’ll be driving to game stop. REALLY sad.

I like nothing about this store. I went in and bought an entire N64 system and was told it would work. I drove home and it didnt work. I then tried to return it but was told that in order to get my money back I would have to wait three days due to their return policy. I was able to use the controllers that I had bought on another N64 but while playing two of the joy sticks snapped off. When I tried to return the controllers I was told that the return policy was only 3 days. So in the end I ended up with damaged and broken items that I was only able to get half my money back from. Dont go here.

My Playstation 2 had quit working after having the system for years, I called asking if they had the system I wanted and Im happy to say they did. Great price for new PS2 slim with a new controller, I will be going there to find games for the systems

Pretty nice video game store with new and retro games.

Prices are little high and there are stickers on games. Be a lot better for collectors if they would figure out some way to avoid the stickers.

Great selection on DVDs, and at a good price too! Decent amount of NES and SNES games (which I look for). Prices on games are ok. I drop by every few weeks to see if they have anything new in.

I went to game world yesterday to get an Xbox one headset and they had for 70 dollar brand new which that a lot but a use one they sold me was 40 dollar which that also a lot. The headphone they sold was not an Xbox one headset its a pc headset. EBay is way cheapter.

Horrible customer service took my controller I paid 55 dollars for it was used COD but hey I liked it. 2 days later I finally got time e off went to try it out and realized it was broke and kid at front refused to take it back. I dont like posting bad reviews so I decided to try them again. And let my son get a game. As soon as I walked in the guy up front yelled at me cause I had my dog. I explained he is a service animal and the guy up front said they need proof... He made me go out to my car to get his vest (it was like 80 degrees outside why the dog wasnt wearing it) I walked back in showed him it and explained that there are laws against what he did. And told my son we will go across town to GameStop I requested owner to call me at the college mall location we will see...

Okay store for games and systems but those prices! $20 for a ps1 game really? Thats a joke considering youre selling a ps1 system for same price oh but the open button was sticking game world nobody wants trash just saying and lower your damn prices you rip offs
