I stopped by the holiday open house today to spend some time with Margaret, the owner of the University of Sewing. It was great to hang out for a little bit and the more time that I spend here the more that sewing becomes a part of my vocabulary. Its been great working with them to help them optimize their website and email marketing and getting to know them on a personal level. Margaret is a very talented seamstress and tailor and really is passionate about everything that has to do with sewing. Its really a pleasure being able to write a review for them and being able to consider them a friend and awesome client.

Margaret is extremely knowledgable and always very helpful, no matter your level of mastery. The store carries a wide variety of unusual, high-quality and beautiful products which are not available anywhere else in town. Classes are offered for all ages and skill levels.

Not only are the clerks & owner a great help while shopping, but this store has absolutely gorgeous fabrics and almost every accessory you can imagine - from needles to buttons. Be careful - shopping here can be addictive!! 😊

Bernina is the Cadillac of sewing machines which develops even a beginner into an expert. It is one of the best gifts I have given myself. I have participated in sewing lessons by knowledgeable individuals who are patient and skilled in sharing techniques for professional results. Quality fabrics and sewing products are available for purchase.The University of Sewing also provides clothing alterations to provide added confidence to our less than perfect figures. I am a happy and satisfied customer and will continue to return to the University of Sewing for many years.

This is a great shop for all your sewing needs! They have the best fabric choices in town and some really cool notions and threads that you cant get at the other stores. Margaret and her crew are super knowledgeable. Also, if you need anything mended, repaired, made that involves clothing, this is the place to go! Highly recommend.

The University of Sewing is a very nice fabric store. They have clothing fabric as well as quilting fabric. All their fabric is beautiful, knits and woven alike. The people that run the store are very friendly and hellpful.

I had a goat hair sweater resized and a zipper in a jacket put in, all was fabulous!! I have been in several other times and bought a few things to make. Awesome!
