Revolution Bike & Bean is the best shop in Bloomington! Every time I walk through the doors I am greeted with a smile. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and also very quick. The store has all of the products that a cyclist could ask for! I know that whenever I take my bike to Revolution Bike & Bean I’m going to receive A+ service and everything will be done at an honest price. Fantastic job to all of the staff at Revolution, keep up the great work!

Don and his staff are top notch people to work with! Experts in all things bicycle, and great people to boot. Weve now purchased three new bikes from the shop (all Specialized) and have always been treated wonderfully. The staff shares their expertise and opinions without making us feel dumb (we are a normal family with very little bike expertise). Weve also had multiple older bikes serviced at the shop and again had a wonderful experience each time. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new bike, or if you just need a tune up on your existing ride.

Great shop and wonderful customer service! We popped in to browse some bikes and the staff was kind and answered all of our questions. We never felt rushed - instead the staff was very friendly. We were also able to find an appropriate fit on a helmet for our son (childs size), so that was a plus too! Its so nice to have such a sweet local bike shop in town - its one of the things that makes Bloomington special!

Have had 2 bikes serviced here, great work done and timely. My mom also bought a bike for my dad, they worked with her on what he needed, he loves his bike. Would highly recommend for all your biking service and purchase needs.

This store was great at helping me pick a new bike when I purchased my diverge roughly two years ago and the staff is always extremely friendly. I recently had a tune-up/repair service done on my bike. On my second ride after I find I have flat partway through my ride, I suspect in part due to the missing stem cap and open presta valve on the freshly replaced inner tube that I had not thought to inspect upon receiving it. Even after a chain and shifting cable replacement, it still tries to jump gears mid stroke. It just feels like the service was half finished, and Im out $150. Perhaps try a different shop for repairs.

Excellent shop and excellent mechanics. Ive been a rider for 30+ years and worked in many bike shops and know when bike shops are run properly and in business for the right reasons and this one rises to the top. Ive been a customer for years but recently had a super technical issue with my rear derailleur not working 100% dead on accurate and was making an ever so slight noise that was bugging me. It was so minimal that many wouldnt notice it but it was bugging me and I knew it wasnt quite right. The mechanic went to crazy lengths to isolate the problem and then solve it. Far and above what I expected. Great shop and people.

Went into the shop today to purchace some valve stem adapters. The staff was very knowledgeable. They were able to answer any questions i may have had. They showed me around the shop and spoke to me about a few bikes they had for sale. Great customer service!

I had a great experience shopping here. Mike was very knowledgeable and helpful, and took time to learn about my interests and help me pick the best bike for me. The atmosphere was relaxed and they let me test ride a few different bikes to help me find the best one for me. Would definitely recommend!

Came in looking to order a replacement headset for my 2015 specialized rockhopper sport. I expected to be paying upwards of $50 but when I showed one of the guys there the damaged part of the headset he ran back behind the counter and found a replacement for $2.00! Incredible. The owner of the shop is very rude. He is unwilling to help and treats employees very poorly. He will yell at customers and employees and overall is not a great person to be around. I will take my business to one of the hood shop in town.

Staff willing to take the time to teach you about what type of bike is best for you and why it suits your riding style. They carry the same mentality for servicing bicycles as well and are more than happy to explain what repairs need to take place at that moment and what repairs should take place soon. You can tell the owner cares about the people who come in to the store.

When I choose to go to Revolution Bike and Bean I know Im going to get great service on and off the bike. A few times a week I swing in to the shop on my lunch break for a coffee and am treated with warm conversation and stories from the staff.When it comes to on the bike service, I could ask for a better experience. I love my bike and only use bicycling as my source of transportation. Revolution bike and bean always gets me going again no matter their situation. They truly understand what it means to be a cyclist.Out of the shop, I can count on their staff engaging in the cycling community and riding their bicycles. I see Don and many of his staff members riding their bike on and off road multiple times a week. I couldnt urge anyone more to come check this awesome place out!

I’ve probably gone here a handful of times now but this is the last time I will be here. Came in, they didn’t have a mask for me, didn’t accept medical exemptions per governor’s orders, and wouldn’t take my bike outside even. One of the employees who showed me the door out was wearing a communist shirt too, an affront to me as a South Vietnamese American whose family had to escape the horrors of Communism.I went to Bikesmiths where a person came out immediately as I parked, and took my bike and information right outside.

The Shop looks nice and is fairly easy to navigate. The employees are nice and helpful. I couldnt bring my self to spend double what other places charged and they were vary understanding of that. Hope they last since were losseing local bike shops pretty fast.

If you are interested in more details, keep reading.Im slow to be enthused, and I weigh decisions regarding spending money quite carefully; ergo, I did months of research, bike shopping, and test riding at both local and not-so-local bike shops before finally deciding to make a purchase at Revolution.Why? Yes, the bike I bought did end up being my favorite (by a long shot). Yes, the employees are all great salespeople. Yes, they are deft mechanics. Ultimately, though, it was their down-to-earth, outrageously kind, anti-snobbery disposition that won me over.As someone coming into this experience as new to cycling more seriously, I became quickly turned off by the bike shops that touted their elitism (though, to be fair, the majority of shops werent like this) and peeved by those that were staffed by people who could not answer my questions or make recommendations. By contrast, the team at Revolution seemed thrilled at the prospect of helping a budding fanatic and went to great lengths to get me the best bike possible. They continue to answer any and all questions, no matter how basic, in a relatable manner.I believe Ive said all I can. Truly, this is one of those rare places that makes me wish I had a small fortune to invest, because Revolution Bike & Bean would make the list. The entire staff is very knowledgeable and went way above and beyond to make sure my experience was great. They even went so far as to give my 18 month old son some Animal Crackers. I highly recommend this shop!!

Ever since I started cycling, Revolution has been my go-to bike shop. They are immensely helpful and really seek to serve the Bloomington community. Whether its workshops, participation at a local event, or weekly group rides, Ive seen the owner and staff give a lot back to the people around them. They often walk people through the work their bikes need; education like this promotes a safer (and less expensive) experience for the customer in the long term. I always leave the shop with more knowledge than before. If you are apprehensive about the sometimes intimidating atmosphere of a bike shop, then try this one, and I bet your experience will be a good one. They are patient and kind and listen to their customers.

I love Rev Bike & Bean. They did a tuneup on my road bike and it came back feeling like a brand new machine. They told me what the price was going to be before I agreed to the tuneup and stuck with that once it was done. It only took them a few days to get it done and they went over everything that they did and why they did it. A few months later my shifting was getting a little clickety clackity and they adjusted my derailleur at no charge. Great customer service. Great people. Great bike service. Ill pay a little more to get my tubes and tape from Bike & Bean just because I love the place.

I walked in to Revolution knowing very little about bikes and with only a vague idea of what I wanted. I walked out with a bike I love. They took the time to measure me so the bike fits me and feels great to ride. The differences between each bike were clearly explained, as well as the reasons for the differences in price. I never felt pressured to buy anything more expensive than what I wanted. If you are in the market for a bike in Bloomington, I highly recommend Revolution Bike & Bean.
