Total disappointment and so unprofessional staff. My husband took our son picking him up from school arrived 3 min late and another 3 min wasted on waiting on aline. By the time he faced the receptionist they told him he is late 6 min so they cancelled his appointment. he explained and pleaded that he arrived but he was online and they said 5 min is their policy and they have to cancel. They are very unprofessional treating their clients with no respect. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.

Called the store this morning and spoke to who I think was the manager. I had called because my son had broken his glasses. She was very nice, she tried looking his glasses up in the system to see if she could reorder them but they were discontinued. She asked if I would be able to stop in so she could see what she could do. I was at work so I told her it wouldn’t be until later, she said I could come at any time and she would be able to help. She wasn’t able to fix his glasses but was able to find a frame to fit his lenses. Very nice and helpful staff.

We have been going here for a few years now with less than stellar service but hey humans are creatures of habit. We made an appointment and after confirming it multiple times through phone, email and text we pull into the parking lot to get a call saying they are 40 minutes behind and ask if we want to reschedule. I asked if we could keep our appointments and come in later then and she rudely told us we could but she couldn’t tell us a time to come in. She was so rude that we decided to call back and just cancel and make an appointment somewhere else from now on. My husband called and canceled and now I am getting texts and emails saying I missed my appointment ….. No we cancelled it. Apparently she couldn’t even do her job to put it in as cancelled. I would not recommend going there to anyone. The previous time we got glasses and sunglasses we both had issues with the quality and the finish in the lenses was spotty and they needed to return them and get another set made. We should have known then not to go back.

Very unprofessional. They called and cancelled an eye exam appointment I had made several days in advance, 20 minutes before my appointment! I was on my way there! If it wasnt for the fact that I was using a voucher from my employer for safety glasses, I would NEVER use this business. EDIT - I decided not to ever use this place and will go somewhere else.

Do not waste your time at this location or company. I was on time for a new patient scheduled appointment just to told In person by an employee that they use an online doctor and did not think they would be able to fit me in this evening before closing time. I had pre-scheduled this appointment online with them, got reminder emails & texts which I confirmed. This older women said they tried calling you I think? It was not true they only called 3 days in advance reminding me to complete my registration which I did online the evening before. This also proves they had the right number which she speculated they might not have had your correct phone number and asked me to confirm my number. This employee than said well you didn’t have your insurance put in yet. Yes , I put down my last 4 digits of my social on my registration forms prior to this appointment which is my VSP insurance so again not true. It was obvious they did not want a new patient, who was on time, and had employer insurance. She asked in person if I’d like to reschedule and of course I did not after being cancelled in person for my first visit that was pre-scheduled. Note that they only had one other customer in the store at the time of my appointment with no others waiting. I would welcome owner/management to rewatch video surveillance to confirm this. Very unprofessional, and less than stellar customer service by this individual at this location who has to make up excuses to not see a new customer. Last, I had received an email & text the next day saying I missed my appointment which I obviously did not so I’m guessing your employee put in computer I was a no show but again watch the video and I was there in store and on time on 8/30/21 at 6:20pm. Do not waste your time, go to a professional eye clinic like I will be going back to see.

I was notified that my glasses were ready for pickup 2 days ago and when I went to pick them up there was only one of two pairs ready. It is beyond my comprehension that you would notify someone that there glasses are ready and they only have half of the order complete. Fitting takes 5 minutes of time, why would I drive 15 miles 2 times for 5 minutes of work. The management is incompetent at best, and I nor will anybody in my family will ever do business with a company that does not have the convenience of their customers in mind. I have to give them one star to post this, but it really should be negative stars.

They canceled my daughters appointment. They were busy in back. By the time they got to the desk to check us in it was 5 mins after the appointment time. They would not let the appointment go forwarded. Dont be late by 1 min or they will be rude and not take you in. After 10 years of going to same place I will not go back and I have to urge people to find a new clinic.

I got there on time with my daughter just to wait for some one to come check us in it was 1:26 when someone came to check us in just to tell me I am over the 5 minute rule!!!!! After arguing with the lady about she goes and ask a different Lady who says I was not there!!! Yes I was there other employees saw me, not the lady who was busy helping a customer!!! Worst place ever. I am so mad I took time off of work to make it to the appointment pulled my daughter out of school, for nothing but lieing employees!! Do not recommend at all!!!!!!!!

I did everything I was supposed to do. Set up an appointment online, completed the admissions form online, and brought in my current contacts, glasses and vision insurance. I wore a mask, signed in, and completed my admissions form and gave them my vision insurance AGAIN when I arrived.They constantly called and emailed me to confirm my appointment and to arrive on time or else they would cancel my appointment if I arrived five minutes late. I was on time and waited for thirty minutes only for the tech to tell me that their system was slow and that it had booked me at the same time that she was leaving. LADY, MY APPOINTMENT WAS AT 6PM AND YOUR CLOCK OUT TIME WAS 6:30PM. They asked me to come back another time to waste even more of my time, so I said no thanks, Ill take my business elsewhere! The only thing that is slow are your workers. ZERO STARS IF I COULD.

I made an appointment over the phone yesterday and I went there today. Guess what, they cannot find my appointment in the system. They said only visitor with appointment only. Even I showed my received confirmation text message from them. Even they found an appointment which matched my birth date, at the exact same time. I took a sick leave from my work and waited 20 minutes for the feedback and I have to leave. Thats the way you treat your clients.@Visionworks, Dont let me send more details. Check your system, your stuff.

Brought my mom here to buy a pair of glasses. My mom has had one rough year, and needing to replace her lost glasses one thing on her checklist. Amanda was absolutely wonderful to work with. My mom requested if she could have her glasses ready in time for her birthday. Although Amanda said their are no guarantees, as it can take anywhere from 7-10 business days- but she will call if they come in early. My mom was extremely happy to receive notice that they arrived just in time for her birthday- it really made her day. Thanks so much for the excellent customer service.

We were there for 3 hours. Amanda only assisted Caucasian people (2/6 parties in the store) and told us that someone would be with us shortly, as she went and helped other people with no appointments. She had passed several customers to the 2 other coworkers. Being short handed is understandable, but it is very unprofessional and rude to pick out your customers. We will not be using them again.

If I could give this store ZERO Stars I would. I called to have a prescription transferred for contacts from the Crystal location because we have recently moved and bought in Blaine. They told me they didnt think the were able to call another store, okay fine. I called had the prescription faxed, waited all day to get a return call when I requested a return call to verify they received so I can purchase and pick up. No call 24 hours later. I called again, was told that they havent gotten around me to yet? Fine. So I ask if I could speak to a manager, I was placed on a min hold, to be told they dont have my contacts in stock, now Im frustrated. I exlain about my discouragement about this whole situation. Her response GIRL, I AM NOT PLAYING GAME WIT YOU. I know you think I am but we aint. Excuse me? I called and spoke to General Manager of other store in Crystal having my contacts ordered without any fees because they were appalled at that behavior. I plan to make a formal complaint to VIsion works corporate. Learn how to speak to a customer before you get a job in customer service!

We just spent 3 hours for 2 eye exams and glasses. If I could give this zero stars, I would. Only 3 employees working. Zariah and Esmerelda were pleasant. However, Amanda, noticeably only helped customers who shared her same skin color. Even my daughters noticed it. She would walk past us multiple times to help people who didn’t have appointments and say, “Someone will be with you shorty.” She appeared to be in charge so could push certain customers on other employees.

This is the best vision center my family has used throughout the years. The doctors and staff are friendly and seem to really care, they have given us the best advice for contacts and glasses. They were very accommodating when my teen son had to learn how to use contacts. They have a great selection of glasses and contacts as well. We wont be going anywhere else. Thanks Visionworks!

Every time I go to order contacts they say they need my prescription. They say the one they have is expired. I brought in my updated prescription to them and gave them a copy. They lost it! It takes forever to order contacts. When I say I want them shipped to my house they never do it. They call me and say it’s in, even though I want it shipped to my house. I will not be going back to order contacts. I will go to Fairview and get it my contacts and glasses done.

The ladies in the front of the store were so friendly upon my arrival. The eye doctor was very informative and answered all my questions. Jill H rang me up, answered all my questions with insurance and helpful me find the best deal for my situation. 10/10 would recommend this place.

Had some issues with my vision insurance here, so I wanted to try using my medical insurance instead. Guess it was lunch hours for my medical insurance so the gentleman couldnt get ahold of them. Had to call both my vision and medical insurance in the store to figure the issue out myself. Got my questions answered within minutes. I walked to the lenscrafters that was also in the mall and they verified my insurance coverage easily. It wasnt that the workers were rude but why make me waste my time when not needed.

I walked into Visionworks in Northtown Mall today and was extremely disappointed. I accidentally broke my glasses two days ago and over the years if I had any issues with my glasses I would come to Visionworks and they always helped me. Today, I walked in and the lady who worked there (she was the only one in there) said she would be with me shortly so I waited. Once she was available, I presented her my broken glasses and before I could finish she immediately said they couldnt be fixed, and then proceeded to keep repeating that they couldnt be fixed. She offered no solution, or suggestions and came off rude and rushed. I was planning on making an appointment there today for an eye exam/contacts but since this lady had to piss me off so bad I left and ended up going to Pearle Vision in the same mall. Pearle Vision offered to glue them until I could find new glasses/contacts. I made an appointment at Pearle Vision, they have very thoughtful staff and they even cleaned my lenses for me all for no charge. Take some hints Vision Works! Never going back there

Awful. We were there for 20 minutes and no one greeted us. They weren’t busy. Finally someone greeted us but was annoyed she had to help us. Got the glasses asked her to bill one insurance first then the other insurance. She told me she didn’t have to. I asked her to do it anyways because I knew it would get denied doing it the way she wanted to. She told me no worries it was already approved through the other insurance. I explained it would look like it was, but it wasn’t. We have been through this before with them. She argued with me and told me she knew how to do her job. I was done arguing with her so I let it go. Here we are months later and I got a bill in the mail.... Saying our insurance was denied. I would just avoid this location.

Absolutely horrible been going there for 12 years will NEVERgo back a bunch of crooks was there in May for eye exams didn’t need contacts then so didn’t do the fitting called back since I am out of contacts now to do fitting and I was told nope you need a whole new exam I was just there in May the NEVER once said oh you have to do the lense fitting within 60 days then the lady hung up on me. So now vision works will respond like they are all concerned with what is going on for face value I emailed all info as suggested and chirp chirp nothing

Update June 2019: 2 months now since exam and still no new glasses on my head. They dropped the ball several times now. NO LONGER HAPPY WITH THEM. The doctor still great (thus 2 stars instead of just one) but everything else was a fail. No returned phone calls from messages, didn’t call to say glasses were in after calling me to tell me they would be delayed. One pair they completely submitted the wrong correction for my lenses. Ugh! So frustrated with the service. Get you exam here but skip the rest.Initial thoughts April 2019: Just went for my latest eye check up. Dr. Robert Chous was a hoot! He is my new favorite doctor. He was also extremely thorough. I did the digital imaging eye picture rather than the dilation. I love this option because you have a digital record to look back on it in the future to compare your eye health. I really learned a lot about a half on my visit today. Plus was shocked my eyes actually got better for a change! But he explained that had something to do with the age in the health of my eyes. Extremely thorough. Gave me multiple eyewear options as far as distance, computer, bifocals (which we avoided) etc. Hannah helped me pick out something that looked really good on me, two pair, she was extremely helpful and easy to work with. I will be back! Like I said, my new favorite doctor now.

Went in to order contacts. Got told my prescription was expired from one of the ladies. She then said I could schedule an eye exam that day. Even though, a few months prior I had my annual check up at the vision works at rosedale mall. Lady was too ignorant to call the other store in Roseville to confirm after I had suggested it. Bottom line folks, if someone is not willing to go one tiny step further to help out their customers. Why should we do business with them? Vision Works, time to clean house and get some employees with interpersonal skills.

I have been into VisionWorks multiple times at this location either looking at frames, or to buy. The times I was just looking, the associates would not come up to you, but ask if you need help, sitting at their desk. Nobody has offered to help look for frames or get an opinion. One other time I went in, nobody even acknowledged me when I walked in! When I finally chose a frame myself, I went up to a girl at the desk, and as she was typing something on her computer, finally looked up and said, unenthusiastically, Do you have a question? I said I wanted to order glasses. She told me to wait at the table until she was done doing her thing at the computer. That took at least 5 minutes.I had a question about my order after that, so I called the store. The older lady on the phone seemed like she wanted to get me off the phone as quick as she could, almost like it was inconvenient to talk to me.I ordered a brand new frame instead of the frame they had on display. They said theyd call when it comes in, but 2 weeks later, I didnt hear anything, so I had to call about it. The lady on the phone was helpful this time, looked up my account, searched around a bit, and asked if I picked up my glasses. I said no thats why Im calling! after checking in the back some more, she found the frame, but the lenses were not put in them yet. She said nobody was there to do it at the time. I complained about how Ive not had a great experience so far. An hour later I get a call from the same lady saying my glasses are done...hmmm.When I (finally) picked up my glasses, the guy that helped me was nice and helpful (he was a supervisor.) He adjusted and cleaned my glasses 2-3 times and everything was good...until later that evening, I put them on and noticed weird reflected lines in my vision. I held them up to the light, and my left lens has all these weird scratches in them! the right lens was too, but not as much. I went back in the next day, showed the lady my lenses, but she could not see the scratches herself. I said theyre there, otherwise I would not be here again! She said theyll redo my lenses no charge, but they will only be able to get them done in a week, as the lab manager was not there.I am very disappointed with VisionWorks. I will never do business with them again. I would rather pay double for my glasses at an optometrists office, or another place, than get the poor customer service I have experienced at Vision Works. I would never recommend Northtown VisionWorks to anyone!

I have been here one time to purchase glasses but I shop at several different vision works. Well long story short I brought my glasses in to get a screw replaced and the lady broke my glasses. She was going to get me a new pair but then said they didnt have them in stock. I filed a report and the manager of the northtown vision works reached out to me. She said I have the frames here and you can come get them. Im guessing free of charge because they are the ones that broke them. But once I got there she tried to offer them to me at 25% off of $200.00. I couldnt believe what the lady was telling me that moment. Because when I talked to her on the phone it sounded like she was going to replace them for free because she NEVER mentioned me buying them when I talked to her on the phone. I was pissed off. She thought I was someone to rip off. But NEVER again will I give my money to vision works. They are NOT helpful. They dont care about your business & they tell you every pair of glasses looks good on you when it really dosent!!! Lol. I have spent about 1,000 dollars here yearly for my glasses and my grandmas glasses but never will I again.
