Manager is rude and will NOT help you! Terrible customer service and NO truck even though it was confirmed online. When we showed up we showed our confirmation number and was rudely told there was was no truck for us. Manager said she hadn’t seen that size truck in months. We had to walk around the specific truck to get in the front door. We were willing to go somewhere else to pick one up but they would not help us. Manager told us to “Get off my property.” I assure you she is NOT the owner.

Staff was helpful when I rented the vehicle, but after the fact they charged me a $25 cleaning fee because I did not fold the moving pads I rented from them (6 pads- which are little more than a small blanket). That seems harsh. Had I known, I could have folded them in a minute. Otherwise, the truck was clean and returned in the same or better condition than rented to me.So in essence, I paid to rent the pads, then paid $25 because I did not fold them when returning the truck. The person I talked to at Uhaul said there was a notice in the back of the truck to fold the pads. I did not see it nor did my two helpers see it. The Uhaul employee was completely unapologetic and could not care at all.This practice borders on unethical and is an underhanded way to significantly bump the rental fee.I will certainly take this unwarranted charge and the complete lack of empathy after the fact into consideration before ever renting from Uhaul again and advise others to beware.

Dropped off my truck with more gas than was in the tank when I picked it up. Got charged $45 extra for gas for some reason. Contacting customer service is impossible. Incompetent or dishonest, either way a bad business

Had a issue at another location and when I called here i got exactly what I needed! The young lady was so nice and knowledgeable over the phone and when i entered the store I was greeted with a smile, my transaction very easy and quick! She showed me where my truck was and hooked my trailer up and i was ready to go in no time.Best Uhaul experience Ive had in a while. Excellent service! I will definitely be back! Did not honor reservation and lack of customer support or solutions was astounding.

We set up a contactless pickup for 6 AM and even called ahead the day before during business hours to make sure the truck would be ready. After being assured it would be, there was no truck. Then our reservation got cancelled without warning and we had to wait in line to refill everything out and get a truck. Move was delayed hours and the workers had a lot of attitude.

Dont go to this location at all. I made a reservation for wiring installation 2 weeks prior. I called the day before to confirm my appointment and on the day of my appointment I arrive 30 minutes earlier just to discover they dont have anyone to do the install on my vehicle. Whats the point of reservations and paying in advance if they dont do the job. Then they sent me to Vestvia location who are respectful but didnt have the part. They called the uptown location to send over the part they should have sent in the first place and they said well send it right away. Its a 15 minute drive and I waited over 1 hour 30 minutes just until the part arrives!!!!!

Don’t go to this location. We reserved a truck and a pick up time, waited in line for 30 min, and when we got to the front my husband was told they gave our truck to someone else and didn’t have any others we could use. All they did was give us a 1-800 number to call. I called that number and the lady was very confused how they gave our truck away and didn’t offer us another size. She said they had another size at the SAME location ready for pick up and reserved it for us. Went back and the lady at the front tried to tell us again that they didn’t have a truck for us. Ridiculous!

WOW! This was an exemplary experience! UHaul has been awesome for me since 1982 and this U-Box offering was perfect and perfectly done. I am extremely impressed. All my things arrived 2,400 miles later exactly the way I closed it, nothing even moved inside the box. Regular emails & phone calls kept me informed and the drivers were very courteous and made sure I was happy. Awesome people! I saw your 30-minute infomercial and you might want me to be on that show as a glowing customer for you!

Best Uhaul experience Ive had. Excellent service!Holly contacted me at 7am about a change to my reservation and was helpful when I showed up to load U-Boxes. Used 3 boxes and throughout the day received professional service with loading, unloading, and moving information. Cool old warehouse is a nice plus too.

I have nothing but high praises for the three ladies that waited on me at this location the last one that waited on me both my phone and in-person her name was Holly and she had told me over the phone that she was a manager or assistant manager in either case when speaking with her you could tell her boss was smiling she gave me accurate information she made suggestions as well and she did my reservations I went by today and I met her for the first time she is a natural she is courteous and professional and Holly also exceeded my expectations she took the boxes to the cab for me and make sure that I was okay. Holly has taken care of me in such a way that I would say she deserves to be where she is or promotion and all raise. On a scale of 1 to 10 10 being the best I would give Holly a 10 . Harley exceeded my expectations. Holly did not know that I was 100% disabled until I was getting in the cab to leave. Holly I would like for you to let the two ladies before you I know that they also did a fine job. Enjoy your week Holly!

Great customer service, especially by Holly. A very large, nice, and clean facility with plenty of equipment and moving supplies to meet needs.

Service personnel provide no service dont care if you get anything or not would not help you try to locate something else use the excuse no phone service no internet

This unit is also advertised as climate controlled--it is not. Advertised as 24 hours--it is not. DROPPINGS on and in my boxes. To give this place one star is undeserving. ZERO stars if I could.Also, the manager was very rude and kicked us out during business hours. No compassion, no sympathy. When I tried to speak over the phone to the manager she interrupted me multiple times and was very defensive. She hung up before I could say what I needed to finish saying. If a customer has a complaint, the expectation as a paying customer is for the manager to LISTEN and not to hang up.

They are so friendly and understand here. We had a problem and called the 800 number and was given some bs. I found the number and called this location directly... problem solved with no questions asked.

This is the second time I tried to rent and they didnt have any trucks.

DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION! I repeat .....do not go to this location. The new lady over the Uptown location was rude and disrespectful to me.(Reva is no longer there) I thought I had lost the key to my Rental truck and asked her what the price and proceedure was to getting a replacement key. When she explained how expensive it was I told her I was going to back track AGAIN and try to find the key. DO NOT MAKE ANOTHER KEY BECAUSE I CANNOT AFFORD TO PAY IT . I told her as soon as I find it I would call and let her know. Well, I found it in the hotel parking lot I had stayed at the previous night. So we no longer need the replacement key.When I called to tell her I found the key she told me that they had already made a new one was going to charge me $25 plus whatever it took to pay the locksmith to make another one. AFTER I TOLD THEM NOT TO AND TO GIVE ME A CHANCE TO LOOK FOR IT . But the main problem is the girl Amy that works there. She kept interrupting me and talking over me.And she is RUDE! I will not be going back to the Uptown location. I will go a few streets over to the Avondale store. They have more trucks to choose from anyways. And thats where the sweet lady Reva works that used to work at Uptown until they moved her to Avondale. I spend around $500 to $700 a week on uhaul rentals. And i will not be spending that at uptown. My business will follow Reva. Corporate made a big mistake putting Amy in that store. BIG MISTAKE. SHE NEEDS TO LEARN HOW TO SPEAK LIKE A PROFESSIONAL.

Rented a uhaul truck. Very clean. Took the truck back and when we left in our car we got stuck in the gravel the guys that worked there helped us get out of the situation very friendly and helpful wish I got their names

We had roaches in the truck which apparently they didn’t have time to clean from the previous person as soon as we went to load the truck roaches scattered everywhere it was so disgusting we had to spray the truck down in the hot sun before we could load our belongings.
