Stay away!!! Absolutely HORRIBLE in terms of every aspect of the moving process: scheduling, customer service, the move itself, and claim for damaged furniture. Office employee, Kelly, did not enter my information correctly so they SKIPPED me the scheduled move day and only showed up after I called all day long to 3 different numbers. Showed up 9 hours after scheduled arrival time. Kelly blamed ME for her data entry mistake and hung up on me.After showing up 9 hours late for a 5-mile move from an apartment to a house, they could not complete the move before midnight, so they forced me to take another day off from work to complete the move the next day. Upon completion the next day, they had damaged 3 pieces of furniture. I asked for claim process guidance and was told to take pictures and email a specific address. I have never received a reply to that email as of today.I have REPEATEDLY called the office number to complete the claim for the furniture that Blue Oak destroyed. Each time, Kelly says that her supervisor, Roger, will contact me, and that does NOT happen. I called again today, nearly 2 months after the move, and Kelly hung up on me yet again after being EXTREMELY disrespectful, unprofessional, and rude.Blue Oak claims to be licensed and insured, but I have serious doubts as they are doing EVERYTHING possible to avoid my claim. Folks, run away from this company as fast as you can! Ill paint a picture for you: Imagine all the customer service of the DMV combined with the professional skills of just 3 random dudes picked up at a local bar. Frankly, I could have gotten a more professional moving experience if I had just rented a truck myself and went to a local bar and offered random guys the same money to do the job.

Do not recommend this company. We used Blue Oak Moving and Storage and they do not care about your belongings. They put a huge hole in our door and tried to hide it. We paid for materials. However, only the top of our frosted glass cabinets were wrapped which were ruined in the move. Also, the price you are quoted is completely different from the price you pay. You are charged additional time for returning the truck as well. If you can, use a different moving company.

Very unprofessional and unethical. The movers did not show up on my schedule day to move and I called the company and left a message and no response then the movers called me the day of my move to cancel because he said he was not coming to my location at 7 or 8pm. The company still didn’t call me to let me to reschedule my appointment the movers did. Then when the movers did come they tried to milk the clock on me and over charged me and damaged my belongings. I had to take off two days of work for this mayhem and that sucked. I highly do not recommend this horribly staffed moving company at all. I will be reporting this company also.

Do not use this company if you value honesty, your valuable items , accountability or discrimination on disabled woman. My experience hiring with Blue Oak Moving was nothing short of disappointing; even after I thought I was being provided exceptional customer service... when it came down to the service - the gentlemen were 1 hour late; damaged pieces of items, took an extra 35 minutes on paid time to grab lunch and managed to run my credit card without permission. They backed into the side of the loading dock incorrectly causing an accident. They were late by over an hour and 15 minutes; causing issues with the management company.I contacted the staff at the company to make the experience favorable; and their responses were cold hearted and direct. This service was monumental to a closing chapter in my life; moving on to another part of my world - and the only things that I can recall are the attitudes of the movers and dishonesty from the company officials. I am attaching these painful messages to show their faults.

Worst moving company ever! I have emailing them about a move that was complete back January and they never responded. I took all of the beds and furniture apart prior to them arriving and some items I left behind. They Broke my $1,000 bed and didn’t not put any items together prior to leaving. Movers were over an hour late because they went to the wrong address 25 mins from my address. Movers also got lost on the way to the new home and the new home was only 5 minutes away. Oh they also used my brand new toilets without permission! I was quoted $550 and total chargers at the end was $750 when it’s THEIR fault it look so long but my husband was at work their office was closed and they refused to leave. Would never recommend.

This is the absolute WORST moving company Ive ever used. The three guys showed up, didnt want to wear masks (as required by local health ordinance) and began my move. They were friendly enough initially but moved very slowly and took breaks. The thrid guy was useless- he had to ask one of the other two what do do constantly. They took two hours to move a house that Id already packed up- then they hit a wood pillar and chipped it after they didnt get the amount of tip they wanted- One guy actually asked if the tip was $50 each- after the absolute slow service they delivered. The second guy chipped the wood- and then they left 14 boxes outside the house and were packed up to leave- until I stopped them. I called there office and the customer service agent was just as bad- . First she said a supervisor would call me back but he never did. Then she said shed come out- until I told her where I lived and she said she wasnt coming that far. She tried to minimize the damage her team did - that small chip- is it small enough that you can fix it, because some customers just said Ill take care of it myself ???? Im still waiting for a call back from a supervisor. They took a smoke break- and one of the guys picked up discarded items from my curb to take home and use at his home-perks of the job is what he said to me. So these guys can pick up trash better than they can move your stuff- they are also great at damage with no follow up. Please spend your money elsewhere- this company is an absolute disaster.

NOT a company I would recommend. When I called I explained all the things to be moved. One was a treadmill. Was asked if it was a screen one. I told them it wasnt. No mention on an additional charge for it. Also told we would only need 2 men. Day of 3 men came adding an additional $199 per hour for that 3rd man that we were not told about. One man was not very happy to be there and at some points rude. Stating we had alot of stuff (ummm thats why we hired a moving company). Making comments he was in a hurry. Didnt take everything we wanted cuz the truck was full (they could have fit more in my opinion but oh well). Then they unloaded stuff. They never fully put back together a bunk bed (not all screws were put in and thankfully i saw this before my kids went to bed). One of the other beds foot board got damaged. Was told someone would call us to have it fixed. Over a week no call so i call them. They had no record of it. Sent pics of the damaged foot board several times and left messages with no call back!

Dont use Blue Oak Moving. They never move your stuff and only take your deposit. And if you ask refund, they will hang up the phone. What a wonderful customer service. I am actually very lucky because they didnt move my stuff. Reviews below tells lots of bad things like furniture damage.

Do not use this company. They didn’t move half of my things and I was left to do it all by myself. Then a box with very expensive and valuable items was lost and they never refunded me and kept ignoring my calls. I filed a police report and days later and they still have not had the decency to call me back after all the times I have called and left messages. To top it all off, what was moved by them was partially damaged and very dirty

This was the worse experience I ever had with any business. I’m surprised blue oak hasn’t been in legal trouble..I scheduled a move was quoted a price of $487 my movers shoes up 45 minutes late and tried to charge me for tht hour..my move was incomplete I’m going to have to pay someone to finish up the rest of my move ..I was over charged by $300 when I refused to let them over charge me and called them out on it they slammed my door did not finish my move and left and still charged my credit without my authorization. I will handle that accordingly the women Karen who verifies the move acts very professional until u refuse to pay there fraudulent charges this over all was a very unprofessional move it was last minute and I didn’t read the reviews I would never recommend this business...

I used this company only because after googling they reached out to me. I wish they had never!!!!!! So I was quoted $550 to high $900 my bill was $1460. Even got charged for their drive time from my home to their office to park the truck. The damaged so badly my BRAMD NEW WASHER AND DRYER that cost my $1650 per unit and after I complained they knocked off $150 from my card. They put scratches on my wood floors I just had sanded and redone and damaged my freshly painted walls. I could not wait for this experience would be over. They where I rolling half the time. Oh!!!! And they said they would be there at $10:30 AM and showed up at 3:30 pm. Take my word for it and call someone else. Anyone. I drunk group of buddies would of done a better job and for a beer and pizza. Can you believe $150 for my new appliances that they damaged I had to sell them on marketplace and go buy new ones just because they were going to be seen by everybody and they damage them so severely.

I am still waiting for my dresser mirrors and hardware from the other two mirrors. They wont call back they wont help have to get a lawyer now. They change the people was suppose to have 2 sent 3 newbies and still had to pay the price changed and they add things on the receipt after they leave TERRIBLE

Prices were not quoted correctly. Deposits we not applied to my account. I ended up loosing my two deposits of $100 each.Some of the moving staff seemed to not handle my instructions and I had to have them move items twice.I dont feel like they were very professional and I question the people that they hire.I would not recommend this service.I was in a pinch to get movers everyone was booked so I had to take what I could get.

When the guys arrived, we mentioned a few items that were to be moved to the curb for trash. One item was a sectional. One of the movers asked if he could keep it, that his friend just got an apartment & would love to have it. I agreed, because why not? He was very grateful & we exchanged numbers so that he could come pick it up the next day. BAD DECISION on my part! It took me multiple calls & texts before he finally answered & he kept giving me the run around & had all kinds of excuses. I was livid. He finally stopped answering so I had to lug this sectional up a stair case & out to the curb by myself!! I’m a female with a bad back, hence why I HIRED & TIPPED the movers very well! Moral is, don’t ever trust them if they try to pull this again! My bad for being a nice person. I called the company to complain & they said they would “talk to the guy about it” but never offered me any kind of compensation. Also, I put down $100 deposit that was supposed to be deducted from the total payment but they never did it! I caught it the next day & demanded that get refunded. Who knows how many people are just exhausted from moving & miss that charge?

For my review Im giving Blue Oak a 1 star only because there is nothing lower.They really need a minus 5. My daughter booked Blue Oak movers weeks in advance. THE CONFIRMED time to move was between 9 & 10:30 am.After a no show she started calling at 11 a.m.wanting them to firm up exactly when they would be there. no one would answer the phone...I started to call and some lady answered and said Ill forward your problem to dispatch. No one would return her calls...no one would answer my urgent calls..Im sure they have called ID! I BEGGED for a return call at 2pm because she had to move that day!! They never returned a call to either of us, never showed up...NOTHING.i cant tell u what stress we were under. Its the worst experience Ive ever had with any company Ive ever dealt with. Who runs a business like that?? I would never do business with them again!

STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!They moved my home about 15 miles and dont have the first clue about taking care of others belonging. They sat my desk on it side on the concrete drive. Damaged several items. They dont know how to wrap anything up other than in plastic wrap. If you have a clock that needs moved that $150 extra which I was never told until I go to pay. Ive moved several times but this was a terrible experience. $3500 bucks what a waste. Then when I mention the damage the ask you what the items weights becaus ein the small print they will pay you 60 cents per pound for damage. The scratched a small round table that weights maybe 20 pounds. Costs me $300 to get fixed they said they would give money for that which I never recieved. Call Atlas moving and save yourself the headache

Having read the reviews when we were looking for a moving company,, we chose Blue Oak Moving. However, it was not a pleasant experience for us. They arrived with good intentions until the supervisor from the office called me to check up on how it was going. I asked one question about how they were proceeding, which was not a complaint, just an inquiry. The supervisor then called the movers, and it went down hill from there. Apparently they took it as a major complaint and even suggested they leave the job. On our behalf, we have moved often in recent years, and we have always gotten along with the movers, even enjoyed the process. One of the men was downright rude,the other more polite, that is until he did not get the 4 chairs we thought might notfit in the POD, which we did not offer him to take personally, but it would have been OK. The chairs did fit, and yet he did not want to put them in the POD. When my husband said we did not want to leave them behind, then the mover threw one of them into the truck, damaging a leg. When our California movers unloaded, they immediately said several tables were damaged because your movers piled things on them without covering them first. I do not relish in bashing any company, but more to balance the good with the bad. I do not recommend them.

Blue Oak Moving did us well from start to finish, It was not an easy move as we had an extremely long walk from the home to the truck. We had several pieces that required a bit of disassembly. Horrible experience. Listen to the negative reviews people, i experienced it first hand. I was scheduled for july 31 between 9-1030 am and supposed to get a text the day before and the driver would call with an eta. I didnt receive ANYTHING. I tried calling, they were rude and wouldnt give me an answer then when i kept calling they started to ignore my calls. They never showedand i had to be out that day so i moved it all myself and this made my move so much harder and stressful. I cannot believe how unprofessional a business could be. All i wanted to know if anyone was coming or what time but it looks like they never even planned to come.

We stored our furniture with Blue Oak Moving and Storage for about 19 months while we were living internationally. The day (February 2018) our things were picked up from our Birmingham home, went very smoothly. The movers were quick, efficient, courteous, and did an excellent job navigating our furniture up and down narrow staircases and tight corners.Fast forward to September of 2019 and it was the complete opposite. The crew we had leading our delivery of the furniture back to our house from storage were inexperienced to say the least. The duration of the move I felt like I was holding my breath as I heard our furniture being scraped along our walls, and noticed more damage than the permissible marks here and there. About half way through the move, Paul asks us to pay the crew before they can continue to move our furniture in as they have had instances of people stiffing them on the bill... even though Blue Oak had a credit card on file. It was clearly just a ploy to see how much we were going to tip them, which then would dictate the caliber of work theyd exert to complete the job. Which was still, sub-par (not understanding you cant jam the wrong drawers into dresser slots where they do not fit, putting a bedframe together completely wrong, dragging things across our wood floors). At the completion of the job, we noticed an ottoman cover was missing from a Pottery Barn armchair, and screws for the shelves to a bookcase. My husband asked the moving crew upwards of 6 times to check in their moving pads/truck for the cover as it was stored with the ottoman. Instead, while my husband and I were upstairs, they decided they would just leave without saying anything leaving behind their trash and tape balls.I contacted the company headquarters, where at first, they assured me they did not have the ottoman cover. The next day when I called to see what we were going to do about my missing ottoman cover, they had magically found it in the truck. Their owner called and gave some story about how they had found it, blah blah the guy wasnt trained to manage a crew, and he would personally deliver my ottoman cover that day. Well, he didnt, and to make matters more inappropriate I had to call him again to see where the ottoman cover was, that was delivered later that day.Something has happened to this company in the 19 months since we dealt with them last. The furniture we stored was in good condition when we received it back, but for the cost of storing it with them, it should have been anyway. Unfortunately, I would not use Blue Oak in the future, nor would I recommend them to anyone else.

These guys showed up and immediately were sarcastic and making unprofessional jokes. They dropped my things and broke a bunch of my antiques while loading boxes onto the truck. They were almost 1/3 of the way done loading my belongings into their truck when they started bringing them BACK INTO my apartment with zero explanation and refused to talk to me. Then their boss called me and told me they would not be doing my move. WHAT. THE. HELL. WORST MOVING EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR ENERGY ON THIS COMPANY. They will book your move and put you through hell on your already stressful moving day.

We booked them for our move over a week out from our moving date and they cancelled the night before our move at around 8pm...right after we had received a confirmation call for the next day. Reason was due to COVID-19—had a few guys with a temperature...but they could move us Sunday. Makes no sense because if it was due to COVID-19 then they would be quarantined for 14 days...I believe they didn’t want to work the day of our move because it was in the 90’s that day and was very humid and that was the hottest day we had up to that point. We had to rent a UHaul truck and move it all ourselves because we didn’t have any notice and everyone was booked already. My husband and I both have bad backs and that’s why we needed movers. They did give us back our deposit so that was great...but that’s all that I can say on a positive note.

In 1994 my husband and I built our dream home in New Albany. Naturally we accumulated about 20 years worth of stuff. This made the overall moving process rather intimidating and stressful to plan.We phoned several moving companies in metro Columbus for estimates. After interviewing several companies and visiting their offices, we determined Blue Oak Moving would be the best outfit for us.They gave us an excellent and thorough estimate. Explained ways that we could save all around during the moving time. Although we did have family help for some of the tasks, we had the Blue Oak Moving specialists handle the majority of things.The day of the packing and again the day of the moving processes went according to plan. They were properly prepared and kept great attitudes throughout.After all was said and done, we had the men stay for quick dinner. The care they gave to both our prior home and our new home as well as our coveted belongings was outstanding. Job well done!

Blue Oak Moving was so good they got it all done in day. I was really impressed with the stellar service we had received. After requesting a quote online and speaking with a representative at the Blue Oak Moving office we decided to give them a try ourselves. We scheduled them for four men and two trucks to relocate our three bedroom home about 80 miles. Considering there was a longer distance involved for our move, I wanted to make certain we hired a credible and reliable professional mover. They promised that with service materials would be complimented and the move would be done for a flat rate of $2,645. The pricing was pretty inline with what others were quoting and their testimonials appeared to be superior to the rest. My wife and I gave them a deposit by cashiers check and waited for the move day.On the move day the four men arrived as promised in two fully outfitted trucks. All proper equipment was on the truck. All men were in uniform and understood their role for the day. The load up transpired quicker than I had initially anticipated. Before we knew it we were directing where to move pieces into at the new address.The overall move went far smoother than anticipated. Far smoother than experiences Ive had in the past with other companies.

This moving company is the worst movers that I ever had the displeasure of ever using! I was in the military and has had to move hundreds of times. This rag tag company was the absolutely worst! They were very reckless and damaged my property and the packers ran their mouth more than pack, but you’re paying them by the hour! If you want chaos in your life, use them. I called and told them very specifically that we needed a large appliance moved into the basement of our new home. They assured me they would be able to do the job, even after I sent them a picture of the appliance. I was quoted $490 for the move. They picked up the item and brought it over to the new house then told us they couldn’t move it into the basement, it wouldn’t fit down the stairs. I had offered up front to send them pictures of our stairs to make sure it would work and they declined, and said it would be ok. When they got to our house they told us it would not fit down the basement stairs and that the charge was actually $540. My fiancé pointed out that they hadn’t done the job we asked, the entire reason we got movers was to get it into the basement he offered to knock of $90, but since they had tacked on an extra $50 it was only actually $40 dollars off what they quoted. Do not use or trust this company.

Had a very simple move with Blue Oak Moving and Storage. I had a two bedroom condo in Ferndale going to a new build in Royal Oak. We had painters come in and the floors refinished prior to move date. Being certain we had professional movers who would properly work inside of our home was very important.We reviewed a couple different companies and even went as far as having an in home rep from each company come out to our Ferndale address. Personally I was impressed with the work of Blue Oak Moving. We did not have an easy job considering my father had thirty years of things in his garage, basement, and home. We decided when he was downsizing each of these pieces we would put into storage.I wanted to be certain of course that the furnishings and other pieces were handled with care considering many of them have both monetary and sentimental value. Glad we chose Blue Oak Moving for the job. They paid attention to nearly every detail and billed not more than initially agreed to. Blue Oak Moving will be getting a call from us for any future work.

Choose another mover! My bed was damaged during my move, nearly 3 months ago. I was given the run around for a while; they said I lived far so they would get to it when they can. Now, I get crickets. My bed is still damaged and they’re MIA! Very disappointed.
