Great little community grocery. Beautiful home and seasonal decor for sale- wreaths, decorative plant holders, etc..The deli is always busy. They cook full lunches daily-assorted vegetable dishes and several meat choices. Get there early to get the favorites. Go to the website and click on deli for daily menu.

This piggly wiggly is a local treasure. Customer service, a wide variety of groceries at great prices. The meat dept is second to non and the best hot deli and salad bar. Their wine section is to die for. You won’t get meat, groceries or service like this in any of the big box stores.

Great selection of groceries. They usually always seem to have a good deal going on for a various meat. Good selection of local and craft beers. Staff are polite and friendly.

I asked the store manager to order fresh bay leaves. He did.

Really nice store and had a great flower selection

As I frequently pass through the River Run area, I will often stop by Piggly Wiggly which is conveniently open at 6 am daily and its always super clean. Get your breakfast from the deli hot bar with grits, eggs, bacon, sausage, etc. and coffee (.89 for a small cup) which is self served. At the same time, there is a large salad bar open and ready for self service. Between 6 and 7 am, theres very few customers there.😉

The mostiest fresh food everr. Really good sushi, they actuall have a sushi chef !

This place is amazing people greet you helo you. But I dont see people wearing the right attire at thw food court and the way people talked to each other at the food court is horrible loud and uneducated. I dont see people disinfecting anymore. How 😥 sad.

One our regular spots for a quick meal. Outdoor seating overlooking the Cahaba River is a real treat. Service has always been great. The food is very standard meat & 3 type menu served in take away boxes. It has always been good, hot and served with a smile. Its a good value for a quick lunch. After lunch, we peruse the meat selection of USDA prime cuts as well as the rest of their meat market. We have been pleased with the quality and freshness of our meat market purchases. Their wine and beer selection is great and priced inline with most purveyors of the same. I cant say you will find anything here you couldnt elsewhere and most local brands are represented.

The butcher encouraged PRIME...oh my goodness, what a difference it made. Everyone at the table was raving about the Sunday night steak, and all I could do is say thank you to Danny at my River Run Piggly WIggly. PRIME, Certified Angus Beef----it does make a huge difference! Thank you

I would give this store five stars but I can’t under the circumstances. It is well stocked and clean. BUT I’ve been there multiple times since the pandemic and none of the cashiers are wearing masks (most of the customers are). Is someone telling them not to wear them? Do they even provide them? Keep these workers safe. We depend on this store to stay open.Update: I went today and all of the employees were wearing masks. They even had some for sale. Good job.

Always fun on a pig run

I absolutely love this store. The owner is always making sure they have things stocked, according to what people are buying in the area. They also added a sushi chef who makes some awesome rolls. The wine area has a great selection, and the girl who orders for the area, offers great suggestions for the price range you are looking to spend in. The butcher area is well stocked with fresh meat, and will special order if you are looking for something special. Highly recommend this store.

Clean store plenty of choices often confined stuff I cant find it any other place. One of the few places in town that has Megan stone ground cornmeal and Magoo and stone ground grits white or yellow.

Store is always clean and the staff is super friendly. However, their prices are a little higher than expected, probably because theres no close competition. Great place to grab lunch on your way in to work or even do some shopping on your lunch break. They have a salad bar and hot lunches too.

Nice clean relatively new store. I was stuck working in Liberty Park working on a job. With limited places to eat a friend suggested eating here. They have an amazing salad bar and deli. I know the people that have to work in this area enjoy having it there. Also is a very upscale store to be a Piggly Wiggly.

Great store to shop have great deli food good breakfast

The stores fine, but I dont know if I can really recommend it because of how often they sell products that are past the expiration date. The past three times Ive gone to buy soda there its always a week or two past the date, and on May 28th I bought some Pepsis only to notice that they expired an entire 2 months earlier on March 20th. Really not ideal. Aside from that its a really nice place, but I can imagine that other products may share the same fate given how generous soda expiration dates usually are in other stores. Just keep an eye out.

Would rather go here than a big box grocery but the parking is terrible.

They were the only place within 10 miles that had sprite cranberry a couple weeks ago, so I owe them my life.

A great small grocery store with a good selection & variety for its size. There is a really good salad bar and a selection of hot soups & precooked foods to take and heat at home, as well as breakfast, lunch & dinner meat & veggies hot bar! The Pig or PW has a good weekly sale that runs from Wednesday to Tuesday. Their meat prices & quality is incredible...I wont buy my meat anywhere else! The staff is so nice & helpful. I find myself in my Piggly Wiggly 4-5 times a week!

I love this store and the employees. They treat me like family. Danny, Robert and Jake took care of me just yesterday. Steve the manager is always a pleasure. Thank you Andy for having these great people working for you. I travel 45 minutes from where I live to see these people and do business there.

Love the pig on River Run Rd. The store is clean and everything. is at your finger tip also they have the best deli that serve great breakfast at 7 and the fresh vegetables are the bomb the food is GREAT. Great flowershop also.

Upscale atmosphere and decor. Friendly staff to welcome and assist you during your shopping visit. Very neat and organized isles prevent overlooking items. They also have an extended variety of fresh produce to select. I would shop here any time!

Hands down, the best beef in town.EDIT 2021: With the demise of Western Supermarket, this particular Pig at River Run has the best supermarket beer selection in the metro area. And probably the whole state.(Still the best beef, too. Bring your paycheck - they have Waygu)

Great place to get home cooked meals. Then take to patio terrace which overlooks the cahaba river for a very relaxing meal. Outside heaters keep the chill off on cool days and fans keep u cool on hot days. All covered to keep the weather off of you. Food is good

Good place to run in whwn you need a few things. they have hamburger in 1 lb packages, whereas Publix only sells in 1.4, 1.5 or more. And the Pig has a large variety of Community Coffe which is often on sale.

Nice, clean store; however, not impressed with their selection of produce. I bought a few peaches the other day and they were horrible - mushy/mealy. I cant eat peaches like that and I was so disappointed. In my opinion they shouldnt even be put out for purchase.

Was very convenient to a highend hotel, that doesnt offer a complimentary breakfast. Only a expensive restaurant in it. So this place was a blessing and the items are alot cheaper than their little hotel store too. 😃 Hotel was great to offer free coffee for all, until the restaurant stops serving breakfast. And the coffee bar is closed too.So piggly Wiggly got 5 stars for their salad bar and deli too.

Needs a little more variety but great people work there. Keep a close eye on the produce, they dont. The meat department guys are top notch.

Friendly staff and a pretty decent selection. Also clean. Only complaint is the front of the store feels a bit tight and compressed, on days with heavier foot traffic, it can be hard to get past others.

Excellent beer and wine selection. Great deli, smaller than many chain supermarkets - less volume but better selection, especially with regards to local products. Friendly and fast service.

The store is clean, however my mother fell due to wet floors (no wet floor signs up) and hurt her knee and rotator cuff pretty bad. No one offered to help her up and was very ugly to her when she told the store manager. It is very obvious they do not care about the people who spend money in their store!

Convenient, clean, and well staffed. Ive only ever had one complaint about rotisserie chicken and when I mentioned it to the staff they went above and beyond to fix it. The mens room is in a strange location, but how often does one need to use the restroom in a grocery store?

My main go to... Fresh products and a surprisingly robust selection for the size of the store and the location... Feels like a small neighborhood market, but has most everything you will find at a much larger store... EXCELLENT craft brew and wine selection - and very knowledgeable staff for when youre not 100% sure... Red meat - yup, this is my 1st stop most days (select, Prime and often pretty good sales)... Staff is very friendly - go in more than once and they start saying Hello and following up on your last conversation with them. 10/10 - I will be back (....like erryother day....)

Very clean. Things in the right place and on the isle that it states its on. I went in for tomatoes which were firm and good unlike some of the tomatoes in the area at other stores. That was a plus. Parking lot was clean and perfect to run in and out. Its conveniently located so I can there qhick and back home pretty quick. The watermelon was sweet and good as well. I am only giving three stars because of the customer service. No one sooke to me when I entered the store no one asked if I needed help finding anything and when I was ready to check to out that looked at me like I was lost and then finally answered my question that he was open.

It had the Mead that we needed and isnt easy to find.

I have seen friendly people but those oll gals behind hot bar section were off the hook ....they gave us more than we could eat for a few dollars .... Good job
