The parts guys are great and very helpful. Unfortunately for a guy like me 35 miles from town, it is no longer viable to buy parts at literally 4x the markup of Amazon. Its not even worth calling. Billings Hardware built a thriving business paying attention to their customers and the market. I hope they can adjust accordingly.

This place is the closest option to my house, so I stop here a lot. Its convenient. .. They have a super friendly dog too.. Prices could definitely be better but Id rather shop locally and pay for the convenience.

We went there to get a hose mender and knew exactly what we needed. Just couldn’t find where it was placed so we asked for help. The lady that came to help us, Cindy, was so rude to us right off the bat. She immediately told us that we were wrong and demanded that we get the hose sizing even though the size of the hose was NOT necessary. I tried to explain the best I could, and yes it might have been a little confusing. But she was arguing with me that I was wrong and that the piece I was looking for wouldn’t work. I found what I needed and she kept saying we were wrong. I told her I would keep the receipt if it didn’t work. Either way if she felt like it wouldn’t work she should have been a lot nicer about it. We know people don’t always have good days but that was just utterly ridiculous. Everyone else was so nice to us and the puppy was amazing. Thanks to the gentleman’s that helped us.

I was surprised to read negative reviews here. Ive been in a few dozen times and the staff is crazy helpful, polite, and knowledgable. Ive used the service center twice now and couldnt have been more pleased. If you want to save a few pennies go to Amazon or the box stores. If you want a staff that goes above and beyond to help, and want to support local businesses, this is the place. PLUS, they have a giant white Newfie that just hangs out and appreciates pats on the head and belly rubs!! Whats not to love?

For the most part its a good hardware store, only thing I really dont like about it is when I go in I get 5 different people asking me if they can help me find something. Most times I go in there, I just want to find something and surprise myself with needing something I didnt realize I needed til I found it. I usually go in wanting one item and find that theres other items I should get for other projects I need to get done around the house. Plus, there are times when I just want to look and come up with a project on the fly. Hard to do that when they just seem to want to get you on your way. And then there was the gentleman that I did take advice from and it ended up being a total bust and so I had to go back and spend more money to get supplies I found on my own so I could get my little project done... trust me, if I want help finding something, Ill come get one of the many sales associates.Edit: Todays visit to Billings Hardware was absolutely asinine. The first two associates trying to offer me help in finding whatever I was looking for where easily addressed. Thank you but I think I can find it on my own but the third one, the older lady, basically told me that she was going to help me find whatever I wanted whether I needed the help or not. No matter what I said, she kept informing me she would get me on my way. I was totally shocked at her persistence and unwillingness to leave me be when I obviously didnt want her help. It was a nightmare. Next time I think Ill just go to Home Depot, at least there one doesnt feel accosted when they walk through the door. If I need help finding something, trust me, I know how to ask.

This is what a hardware store is supposed to be like. When you walk in the door they are ready to help. They can answer most questions and if they dont have what you need They will try to find another store that does. Great people!

Serially helpful and the best hardware store in billings! That being said its a hardware store not a lumber yard, its the only thing other than a military discount they are missing from the box stores. Dont care tho I go there all the time! If they dont have it they can get it fast!

Every time I shop at Billings Hardware on Broadwater I get the best customer service. Today, I went in to get a large drill bit for a special project Im working on and they were out of the size I needed. The man helping me said, Oh, Ive got one in my truck Ill just give you. He GAVE me a drill bit. I will be doing all my hardware store shopping there from now on.

This is my first stop when I need something from the hardware store. Its convenient to both my job and my house. Its clean, friendly, nice shop dog and usually has the basics of what I need without having to deal with the big box store nightmare that is King Ave.

It is expensive on alot of things but thats local business. Beat thing here is key making! Also the white pooch that greets you or just lays there and gets bored of watching people go in and out... All in all I love my local hardware store for a quick visit but they do need to come down on pricing for items in household and other products that tend to,be half the price.

My husband chooses this store and Ace. He prefers these to box stores. We had a irrigation part to return, purchased on my credit card so we knew they just had to scan it into their computer to find that I purchased it there. The clerk was pretty sure we didnt purchase it there and was borderline rude about it. She called her manager to help and he was helpful but still we felt like the clerk didnt believe us. After finally finding the duplicate part and realizing I did actually purchase it there and wasnt just trying to scam them the clerk was nicer. I was going to buy a top of the line lawn mower there but Im now going to Ace for that. I did purchase a really nice tiller there a few years ago. Dang, dont treat people that way.

Pretty good selection of household needs. Although a little pricey, sometimes its worth the extra cost to not have to hit up one of the big job stores on the west end. For people centrally located in town, its generally got a little bit of everything you may need for small home repairs by the do it yourself person. It also boasts probably one bbn of the best selections of BBQ and smoker grills and accessories. From attachments you thought you needed to rubs and seasonings you never knew were out there in a convenient ready mixed container. Although making your own may still be a step ahead of the commercially available options out there! They also have a small engine repair shop as well for your chainsaws, mowers, and any bbn other small gas powered tools. The staff are friendly and helpful. I would recommend this store as I use it frequently myself.

What nice people - I went to the Broadwater store and I needed a locking door handle and I didnt know how to switch the lever. I asked the salesman if he knew and he said sure, he opened it and changed it so it would fit my door and it was ready to go. A few minutes later, I noticed a young man with a stalled car at the intersection of Broadwater and I stopped by to ask if I could help. He said sure and I got in the car to steer it and he was going to push it and here come not one, but 2 employees of the store (including the very helpful salesperson) running across the street to help him out too. They pushed the car, along with the teenager, and I steered and we got him out of harms way. Now thats going above and beyond!

It was OK. Staff is great and they also make copies of keys but the prices are a bit extreme and if you go to return a part you dont need they tell you something like they told me, this isnt a part rental service. Very rude. Overall ok tho.

The only time you arent asked if you need assistance is when all the staff are busy with customers. We almost always end up at Js with one of projects which could be from furniture repair to car customization. Sometimes we go there & can only describe what we need, only once they were unable to assist us. And if you stop by there make sure to tell J to get to work!
