Was kinda in a bind looking for a hard to find piece of hardware. Had been to at least 3 other stores…..Brittney and Don was super helpful and went out of their way to accommodate and make sure I had the part I needed. I know it’s prolly just another day for them but man just super grateful and thankful for their help. Definitely recommend K&K, their customer service is flat out hard to beat 💪

The staff is always helpful and eager to assist. The place itself is clean and everything is easily accessible. They have everything you need with a small town Mom & Pop store. If for some reason they dont have something theyll direct you to it or order it asap.in my opinion, i would always check their before Menards or Home Depot.

Stopped by while shopping in quad cities. Been quite a few years since our last visit. Facility was clean and in good repair. Approached by several staff members offering assistance. Very friendly and knowledgeable, along with aiding us to find the items we wanted. Will shop there again.

Needed to find tool to fix printer, and they were awesome and helpful as usual .2 electronics stores were of no help , so I thought Id try k&k. So glad I did.

Stopped here to get ball canning jars. They were $18 a case. Ask the girl at the front register if they price match she tells me yes. So I get backup to the same register with the jars and then Im told they do not price match. Jars are $10.50 at Walmart. Well worth the trip to Walmart. Some businesses just like to price gouge on everything I will only be coming to K and K if I have to now

I’ve shopped at K&k for years & though the prices are higher then many of the larger big box stores I usually choose to support my local businesses. This year for some reason I have had many issues with the plant bulbs that they have sold. I have purchased a variety of lilies that never sprouted, several ornamental elephant ears that were rotting when I got them home and opened the packages, & in Picture # 1 is the picture of what was suppose to be an ornamental Lucifer Cana Lillie but as you can see when it finally bloomed, it turned out to be a common red canna. Picture #2 is what was on the package I purchased & what I expected to bloom from this plant. They sell these bulb packages for about $15 each & thinking about all the unsuccessful bulbs I’ve purchased I am out about -$75. I don’t believe I will be purchasing any more bulbs from K&k from here on out.

Hometown feel, amazing service.Had a speciality key I needed cut, the big box stores couldnt cut it. K&K not only got it cut for me but did so with service that just went above and beyond.This store has that small town feel to it, from the superfriendly elderly gent that walked me to what I needed to the antique scale that was still in use. Ive been a card holding customer for decades but when I went in today I saw most of the younger employees had ditched their masks. As a former local business owner I shop and support local businesses but its a two way street. If the attitude is careless disregard for customers well being then two can play this game. It seems that thanks for shopping at K&K has been replaced with arrogant indifference by some of the staff. Remember that masks are not all about the individual wearing it but respect for others just like we cover our mouth when we cough and dont sneeze at someones face. Unless they tell me theyve all been vaccinated I think Ill check Amazon first for my needs from now on.

Have had several trimmers, gas , battery and needed a reliable brand to replace my existing battery powered Greenworks trimmer thats had nothing but problems in the 2 years Ive had it so I did some research and found that K&K is a Stihl dealer and went down and grabbed a new Stihl battery powered trimmer. Great service, assembled it, made sure there was a full battery charge also. Even gave a demo on how to use it....find that at a box store? Didnt think so.

The manager was awesome. They didnt have an item in stock and offered the floor model. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Chainsaw fix was excellent AND fast! I had a Skil that broke the pawls in the starting coil. I cant get those parts, but they can! So for about $25 (minimal labor possible) and like $6 in parts they fixed the saw. They were many saws behind and said about 2 weeks, but they checked it out and called me the next day. It took them 10m to fix so they didnt want to have me wait or the saw to clutter the shop for 2 weeks, so they just got it done. Super!

K & K has never failed me. Their key maker is always spot on, they have just about anything a person could need including small kitchen electrics and essentials as well as wonderful customer service. I have shopped here for over 20 years and I won’t go anywhere else.

I had 2 screens that needed to be repaired. It took 6 months for them to get them back to me. They apparently lost them and I had to keep calling them. No apologies what so ever. Very disappointed.... my mom had a horrible experience as well. Yes mistakes do happen so I gave it a try and I had poor service as well.

Went in looking for a piece to repair a faucet. Turns out the piece I thought I needed doesn’t actually exist, but they did have what solved my problem and were extremely helpful in pointing it out. Hands down worth shopping here for expert customer service.

It took them 3 weeks to get a mirror in for me. I was told it would be in by Christmas. I just got it today. Plus when I went to pick it up they tried to charge me $9 more than I was quoted.

I have never been to a place where you rent something and when you get home it does not work and they tell you to bring it back and they will refund you and see why the item dont work. So I did as told and the guy took the part back and came back out 10 mins later and told me it work you have to keep hitting the reset on the outlet I asked if I could just get a different one and the guy told me I had to first pay for 2 hours when I did not have it that long and that I will end up paying more enough through the one I got was not safe and I should not have to keep hit reset after paying 73 dollars and I drove 30 min one way to get it.

This is the best hardware store in the Quad Cities. Staff is knowledgeable and always asking to help. High quality products and many American made options. They get a lot of my money and I love giving it to them.

I go to K&K a lot. Now there is a slight chance I might find something cheaper at Home Depot or Loews or online, but the service at K&K is impeccable. I get in, get immediate help, and get out, which is exactly what I need when I am in the middle of a project. You would have to be ‘code blue’ to get that kind of service else ware. I’ve noticed the people at K&K are very customer oriented.I started buying lumber at K&K too. Yes, it’s a bit more, but the big guys charge $50 for delivery (I don’t have a truck) and K&K only charged me $15 for local delivery. That easily made up the difference. Also, their lumber is pretty darn straight and free of knots.I’ll keep coming back.

I do most of my heavy buying with the paint department. Sara, now gone, Ty, Angie and Rose are real experts and are totally customer focused. I go to K&K rather than big box stores and have almost never been disappointed. Great customer service, knowledgeable experts on the floor and in every department. Great to have a small town attitude with a store that provides most of what a big box store provides.

Fair prices from a locally owned business! Dont forget about their tool rental!Their sporting goods department has always taken great care of me on firearm transfers. You can tell the department manager there actually cares. I was walking in to the store to check on something as he was leaving, he recognized me, and called his staff so he could speak with me even though he was on his lunch.That is customer service!

Went in while I was here for the holidays after not finding what I wanted at a box store. They had all the things I needed. Friendly employees were very helpful in getting new locks rekeyed to match some existing ones. They also offered us free decorated Christmas cookies at the door. Very festive, and certainly a less frustrating experience than I has earlier at a larger store.

This is the place to go for all those weird gadgets, thing-a-ma-gigs and questions. The whole staff is knowledgable, not like many of the box stores, so you can get in and out easily. They also have a great rental department to get the right tools for each job.

Great service. There are people on the floor in each department who are ready and happy to help, particularly the hardware aisle and can quickly locate random nuts and bolts. I took my lawnmower in for blade sharpening. They told me itd be done in 3 days (perfectly acceptable) and was actually done the next day which was really awesome.

I recently bought a used piece of equipment from them they listed on Facebook. The item is pictured. It is old and needs work, but the price was right and the service was awesome. I was unable to take it home the night I purchased it because it was too big to fit in my suv, so they held it until the next day. When I showed up with a trailer, one of the younger guys working helped me load it. Awesome place, awesome people!

For three weeks, I left my small equipment to be serviced. K&K never told me, it would be 4 to 7 weeks before they could get to it.

Everyone likes great prices, but K&K gives you great service provided by knowledgeable people too. Definitely 5 Stars !

All the years I have been going their I never had a problem until now. Went in and reserved a Brush Hog on Sundsy for Monday, Went to pick it up Monday get down there and they told me the cable was broke on it and they would have it fixed that afternoon for me to pick up. Was not done didnt bother giving me a phone call or nothing. I went in on Wednesday and Re rented it to get home and the cable breaks again and i really needed that brush hog to get a job done. They told me my money would be put back onto my card in 24 hours the owner did and now its been 24 hours and no money. The employee that works in rentals even had the nerve to sit there and bust up laughing cause its so funny i cant get a job done and the owner didnt do a thing about it!! Its just a real Shame my familys been going their for YEARS and this is the first time we had a incident like this.

Its easy to find someone to help or should i say they find you, I think there is someone in every aisle to help you. Do not recommend for rentals.We rented a metal detector that didnt work.The young man at the counter even agreed that it did not work properlywhen we returned it, but it still cost us $43 bucks.

We LOVE K&K Hardware. Nowhere else can you find expertise in every topic regarding home improvement than at K&K. They’ve taken customer service to a whole ‘nother level! With helpful, knowledgeable people ready and willing to help throughout the store. In the rare case when one employee doesn’t know the answer to your question, they’ll track down another sales person who does, and stay with you throughout your search. They won’t just sell you a product, they’ll make sure you know how to use or install it. You may have to pay a wee bit more for your product at K&K, but it’s worth the price and the drive to know you’ve all got you need for your project. You’re less likely to make multiple trips to the hardware store if you shop at K & K during your home improvement project.
