This is one of the best grocery stores I have visited in this country. I am from the Midwest so unfamiliar with Giants. The store was very tidy and the staff were great! I found the items there to be pretty affordable. Great store!

Standard Giant fare. Store is tucked away near Bethesda Row. Handicap access. Beth. free shuttle, walking, or car. No sushi Wednesday deal- disappointing.

Every time I am in bethedsa downtown, Giant always my last stop for groceries, medication, western unions, flowers, black pepper ham, 🦞 lobsters… and so much more. In March-April, we enjoyed picnic under the cherry blossom 🌸 in the park next to Giant and the laughter from the kids in the playground. Is this the Central Park in Bethesda? 🥳

Severe food poisoning from a precut mixed fruit box prepared by Giant in the produce refrigerator. It was the only thing I ate out of the ordinary that day and the next day I was sicker than a dog. Some of the melon was suspiciously too mushy/old. Great grocery store but pass on the fruit.

Great store with lots of incredible, and exciting products to offer. Theres deli meats, floral arrangements, and sushi! The store is clean, with great lighting, and lots of fresh produce. Definitely worth the trip to this location.

Great employees and just has everything I need. Pharmacy is on the ball. Nice small and well stocked store. Customer service is always on hand.

Sometimes the fish market smells too strong.

Being adjacent to world class dining does nothing to intimidate this staple of grocery supply. One of the finest produce sections of any Giant around and staffed by ever more helpful associates and management. Be sure to visit their deli and enjoy knowledgeable advice on anything from cheddar cheese to charcuterie.

Recently I am very disappointed at Giant. Checking out with large orders has meant long waits as only 2 aisles have been available. It’s been my store of choice for years but now I will probably only choose Giant for small self check out purchases

Ask any Bethesda native and they’ll no doubt point you to Giant Food as the hub of the city that never sleeps. On any given night the market is bustling with an array of flavors, cultures, and busy shoppers just trying to make their way in this world. On paper it’s more than just easy to paint an alluring image of Giant Food, which is to thank for the crowds it pulls from far and wide, but I would fear that image of this store is nothing more than a LIE. Sounds serious, right? This is where I come in. I came into the city last Tuesday to visit my Great Aunt Mary and do some tourism. Upon my arrival I realized Mary was fresh out of frozen popular Tex-Mex foods such as taquitos. “Shouldn’t be an issue!” I thought to myself, “Giant Food has me covered.” I threw on my plaid scarf and stepped out into the bitter wind and embarked on my brisk walk to Giant. Upon my arrival the market seemed to be in its usual colorful state, a Jewish owned business. Nothing but a perfect environment to sit back and crack open a cold one… or so I thought. I strolled over to the area in which it’s customary to acquire a shopping basket, but something on a nearby bulletin board caught my eye. I did a double take. It couldn’t be. A wanted poster for my Great Aunt Mary! The poster read “Mary Delabludin: Violent bank robber, please alert local police immediately if spotted!” Now trust me; I know Mary better than anyone else and her violent bank robbing days are far behind her! When will this nation learn to forgive and forget? Still attempting to spread this narrative in 2021 about a woman who hasn’t commit any serious crimes in the past three weeks is nothing short of disgusting. Cancel culture is tearing this world apart. Thats why I was disgusted! I promptly tore the poster down when a Giant Food employee had the nerve to scold me! If anyone knows of a “Famatha” who works at Giant Food please let her know I don’t like being barked at. I ended up getting the frozen Taquitos but they were out of stock of the chicken flavor. Had to settle for beef. Doesn’t that just scream unprofessionalism?

Good variety of grocery

They seem well stocked but dont carry some common food brands that I like and they always seem busy, which makes it inconvenient to shop.

Trying to pick up last min. Late 10 pm close on Sunday. Just made it. Got what I needed. Little more expensive, but was available when I needed it.

Customer service was excellent in every department of the store. Many high quality products to choose.

They always have top quality meats and fish as well as tasty wines and ridiculous cheeses.

Next time I have to bring glasses with me, if I dont want to pay 17 dollars for small box of fruit.As you can see, the main price label (the biggerone) shows 3.45 dollars per pound.

Great food selections, and always clean. Ive gone during busy times and everything runs smoothly, no long lines and many registers open, including self-checkout.

Giant is a good place. But it is not wholefood. There are items that is better than Traderjoes but there are much more that don’t have TJs quality.

Its a typical giant. Average size. Great deals. No student discount tho 😞. Lots of parking. Not typically packed on any given day. Great surrounding location for food and upscale shops, and the Bethesda metro a few blocks away

This giant is more expensive than most grocery stores in the down town area. BUT the produce is always fresh. Safeway down the block has better prices.

Very clean and fresh veggies. The chicken that was cooked and ready to eat was delicious!

Great variety of options here and a very friendly service. The restrooms could definitely use a more thorough cleaning though. The location is very convenient as well. I really liked the good variety of charcuterie essentials. All of the vegetables seemed very fresh. Overall good experience here and what I would expect from a store in such a nice area as well.

Avoid coming hereThis place is NOT: clean, organized, nice, nor respectful, and the security officers are atrocious. Theres a strong sense of racial profiling amongst the security and employees here.Save yourself the hassle and go to Harris Teeter or Safeway down the street.

I come from Silver Spring just to shop at Arlington Road Giant and Pharmacy. Have for many years. Best store today n Maryland! And pharmacy is very special!

This is a busy store, but its not always a friendly place to shop. They keep it well stocked and clean, but compared to the stores in wealthy neighborhoods, this location looks and feels stripped down and industrial. I doubt that is the stores decision. Its most likely a corporate decision based on neighborhood demographics. Thats sort of sad, as this is my neighborhood Giant.That said, Giant is always a good bet for price, selection, stocked shelves, and help, usually friendly help.

They have a diverse selection of fresh foods, prepared foods, produce, and store brands are good.

Don’t go to this place service is horrible and the store is dirty. As dirty as the place is they have the nerve to refuse service if you don’t wear a mask. A mask that you can’t find anywhere in town. Go to Safeway instead at least they treat you like a human being

Bakery Customer service are horrible. They should be educated how to talk with customer not to fight

Typical Giant, I suppose. Might cater to a slightly higher-end client, given the location. Pretty compact, too. Every inch seems to be put to use.

Never thrilled when only larger grocer chains survive in a smaller downtown market.BUT Giant does a great job of providing all things necessary & SALE ITEMS ARE THE BEST!Personnel go out of their way to make it a great experience!

I would recommend to everyone in the Bethesda area go to another store...Some of the worst employees I’ve ever come in contact with in my life.. I don’t know where Giant found these people but almost every time I’ve been to this giant I have a terrible experience... if I didn’t live close by I wouldn’t ever set foot in this store....I’m now going elsewhere although the store is convenient I’ve had such terrible service... I feel no one should have to put up with such disrespect

Convenient with lots of parking; usually have some great specials (wife made a mistake sending me shopping when I was hungry!). Very busy on a Sunday morning before 11:00.

This store was really good on prices and the deals they have. Its clean and well organized. The only reason Im giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is the employee that I dealt with on my visit. Im not going to name him but he was incredibly rude and acted like helping me was such an inconvenience to him and his attitude was horrible. I do not appreciate being treated that way and it really took a lot not to say something to him. Everyone has bad days and I get that but you shouldnt take it out on customers who are simply asking for help. Giant is a good grocery store and its a shame that one employee can make me question if I want to go back or simply shop at another store to avoid having to deal with that employee again.

The employees here are very rude, especially the cashiers. I would rather checkout my groceries at the self-checkout even if I have 30+ items than to have the cashiers through and crush my food. Some cashiers dont even put in bags for me, whatever. But dont gave me attitude for bagging slow.

As Giants go, this is a great way. Very spacious aisles, very clean. The produce has always looked fresh and appealing every time weve been here.

Pharmacy is really good! Get your R× there. Customer service tends to be rude and could learn a thing or two from Harris Teeter. Selection is nice and some prices are reasonable.

Full size store in the city. It was very clean and had everything we needed.

The product selection is still good, prices appear competitive but the decor is dated. The air is stale and foul from the fish stall and the meat counter. More diligenent cleaning or to install a negative ion air fresher should help. The bathrooms are in horrible shape. In a upscale location in Bethesda, this Giant is falling behind the new Safeway, Whole Food, and Harris Teeters nearby. Giant used to be my family favorite gocery store but it is now my backup store because it feels like a Food Lion or Weiss market- stores I rarely set foot in.

Walking distance from my home so I go here a lot. Its a good store with lots of options. I always find the produce section to be a bit crazy, but I blame that on the customers and not Giant.

XL Giant store in the heart of downtown Bethesda. It seems to always be busy! Friendly staff. I always find what I need here!

Staff makes a valiant effort to help but the store does not have enough support to be truly successful. Undependable scanners, scales that dont always work, blocked aisles, and borderline fresh produce make this a frustrating experienced for the shopper.

As much as they are not always responsible for quality of food delivered one must praise the staff: kind, helpful, willing.

Big store with bargain deals. Is still rather go to Trader Joes though, since the deals are better and so is the food.

Recently upgraded self checkout, so you no longer have an antsy old man standing behind you trying to tell your millennial a$$ how to use the machine.

I love my Giant in Arlington Road in Bethesda, the people there treat me like family and they all are very nice and helpful, I personally know the Store Managers.The customer service is fabulous.I have been member since 1986.

Overall good giant but parking lot is usually pretty packed. Sometimes they will be sold out of things that I like to get regularly so its best to go early in the day for those items

Has everything you need inside it. There are tons of groceries, a deli, a bakery, and a pharmacy. I also think they have a minute clinic.
