Incredibly delicious gelato, both dairy and non dairy options are available and delicious. Its also in a beautiful location with a lovely shared outdoor seating area.

The best coffee in DC MD and VA. Pastries are delicious, our favorite one is Almond croissant. The gelato is unique, so many flavors. Please dont leave without visiting Dolcezza, they have many locations. Love it!

Decent gelato, nothing too remarkable besides the Dark Chocolate. Made with 70% dark chocolate and tastes like it, it is not very sweet with a slight bitterness. If youre not used to eating such dark chocolate, I recommend pairing it with something sweeter or fruity. Also, the Dark Chocolate is harder than usual, so I recommend letting it thaw a little before eating.The Passion Fruit Mouse was very, VERY sour. I know passion fruit is supposed to be a little sour, but this was a LOT sour. Probably the added lime juice. It made a good foil to the Dark Chocolate, but pretty terrible by itself. The Mascarpone & Berries was decent with a strong berry taste. Dont know about the mascarpone flavor.Service was fast and the staff friendly. Decent prices for the quality. Good for a one time visit but probably wont come again.

Best American gelato I have had yet. Compares very well to the gelato in Italy and Greece. I first ordered the Peanut Butter Stracciatella. Sooo good (pictured half eaten). Didn’t have enough and I loved this gelato so much, I went back and got a second serving of both the Peanut butter flavor a bananas foster. Great combo!Location in Bethesda is great too. Smaller but still ordered quickly.

Good authentic gelato.

As I sit and watch the sun fade on yet another late summer day, I take an adventure into a delectable cappuccino carefully foamed and prepared with a gentle touch of a skilled barista. The skill and care placed into each cup will almost warm your soul. The treatment from the staff was that of the most professional. Four stars for a missing light bulb in the chandelier.

This was my first time here, it took me forever to finally decide on two flavors , but I ended up getting the mascarpone and berries gelato and the champagne mango sorbet. The mango sorbet was good but the mascarpone & berries was beyond my expectations , it was amazing , I will be buying a pint to take home on my next visit. I was savoring every last bite of the mascarpone & berries . On the other hand I was disappointed by the tiny cups for the small size , the gelato was dripping off the sides , maybe in the future they will have normal sized cups, which is the only reason why I give this place a 4/5. The cup size was fit for a toddler .

Fantastic gelato but not-so-fantastic prices. A great atmosphere and friendly service warrant me giving it 4 stars! I recommend this place if you’re not worried about how much money you spend on dessert.

I like this location because it’s open late and it’s conveniently located. Load of flavors. Love the pistachio flavor as that’s always a classic. The lady working behind the desk let us try as many flavors as we wanted. Excellence customer service.

Hopped into the line to buy a coffee. When I finally got to the front of the line, I was informed by the girl at the counter that I had been waiting in the wrong line the whole time, and would need to start at THAT OTHER LINE OVER THERE for coffee.So I walked two minutes over to the next place with coffee and gave them my money instead.Hint for the owners: youre in a service business. If a willing customer has to ask you more than once, youre doing it wrong.

Lovely little spot in Bethesda Row. We had the peppermint and the salted caramel. Both excellent. Go for a walk after you dine...and stop here.

Found hair, yes hair in my gelato and they had next to no selections. Half the options were empty. It’s too bad because it’s located in a cool spot and it’s a cool looking place.

This place is great for unique and funky gelato flavors. When I came in the two ladies behind the counter were attending to a huge family of 6, and did so very calmly and patiently. I tried the hazelnut and a berry flavor and both were excellent! They focus mainly on flavors so there aren’t any toppings but the quality of the gelato is fantastic. They are sensitive to peanut allergy sufferers as well.

The staff was friendly and the items we got were delicious. Ive got one of the staffs favorite and it was amazing!:) if you cant decide which flavor to get, just ask one of the staffs! And they will get you what you want ;)

I loved the roasted strawberry and blueberry-lavender ice cream. I found the espresso to be a bit too bitter for my personal taste, although it is an authentic Italian style.

House hot chocolate was quite watery.

Tiny little Gelato place but the food they served was delicious. I had a pint and I can tell you I had it all in one sitting. The only problem is there is little indoor seating so dont go on a bad weather day. Also becareful about your choices! You can pick up to 3 flavors depending on size and they dont all go together (but individually theyre all tasty!).

I was looking for a dessert option and the Bethesda location was nearby. The flavor choices are great and it is a nice light option for my sweet tooth.

I love Italian food. And I am delighted by the fact that there is now an Italian dessert place I can frequently go to. If you aren’t exactly into gelato and other sweet stuff, there’s their coffee bar for your fancy.

Nothing special ice cream

Nice place to visit. The gelato is excellent, as is the coffee. There are about 5 tables to sit down, almost all deuces. Street parking can be complicated. Use the multistory public lot right next-door. (It is free at certain times; dont pay without reading the meter label.) Decor is simple and elegant - white marble, black and white tile floor. Press coverage framed on walls. Gelato is made fresh daily from mostly local ingredients. They accept credit cards.

The flavor selection was very unusual and too sweet for my taste.

Its alright. Nice gelato but Ive had better in other places. Very small space so youd be lucky if you got a seat/table at a busy time.

This place has just THE BEST gelato around. The flavors are interesting but never bad, despite your first impression maybe being those two things? Together?. Yes. Together and amazing. Not a lot of indoor seating, but theres plenty on Bethesda row or you can take it to go. The coffee is great and made right in front of you so its fun to watch. Being open late is plus so you can walk and get gelato after eating out somewhere in Bethesda.

The peach and the chocolate mint were both veryyyy good. The sweet potato is also wonderful, but it is seasonal..

Ive come here a few times after eating dinner nearby. Its a bit pricy, and the gelato isnt kept cold enough so it melts pretty fast, and no this wasnt in 90 degree weather. It melts fast in cool weather. Either way, it tastes really good, but knocking off the stars for being really expensive for such a small portion and the fact it starts melting before you finish paying.

Very good gelato!!! but when you get your gelato make sure to get 2 scoops for the price of the small one and 3 scoops for the big gelato because they dont inform you that, and the price is facing the back of the store so you dont even know how much it costs, and the line is so long that you feel embarrassed to ask.

The gelato was very good, but I would have made different choices prior to tasting samples. The options were quite varied and everyone looked to be enjoying themselves.

Delicious gelato. They use local farmers produce when then can. Its a nice surprise to see what they have created when the seasons turn!

Very poor customer service. Today, with my 3 year old, we went in for some Gelato. Although there was no line and the gelato was in the case, the cashier refused to serve the gelato as it was an hour too early. We asked to see if he can check with his manager to see if he can serve the baby some gelato, and we were told that the manager is unreachable and unavailable for anyone to speak to. At that point, a customer sitting in a table, claiming to be a friend of the cashiers’, yelled “I hate ‘these people’ from Bethesda; they’re rich, and they feel they’re entitled to anything”. The baby became very sad and scared at the aggressiveness of a random stranger. It was so discriminatory and rude of the customer to degrade certain people just because they have money and because they live in Bethesda—there are many, hardworking, friendly Americans who live in Bethesda who just want to spend some quality family time together. And this man, who, even though he stated his hatred of Bethesda, was in Bethesda row (he is supposedly there every weekend) with his cashier friend who works at a Bethesda store. This is the service you find at this store; a cashier standing like a bump on a log while his customers are being berated by his friend, after he himself refused to serve his customers gelato in a gelato store. Please see the attached photo of the man who hates “Bethesda” people and “rich” people.

Fun, classy ambiance and my latte was so smooth. Tasted my friends salted caramel gelato and it was incredible. Only reason I didnt give 5 stars was that there wasnt a lot of seating.

This is definitely our go to place for coffee and gelato when we are in the area. Chic interiors and plenty of gelato flavors makes the experience worth the (sometimes) long wait. They do a good job with espresso based drinks too.Prices are up there, but so is the experience.The only things against it the extremely limited space and seating inside the store. This is not an issue when the weather outside is good, but not comfortable during extreme heat and winter situations.

I loved coffee and Argentine pasteries! I will have to give them a two stars this time.The store was not clean nor staff were not friendly. The barista looked like he did not like his job. The barista did not even call out my drink nor of any other customers. I order a latte which was good. I also order an alfajor which the staff forgot to give it to me. The alfajor was not what I expect to be and would not order it again. The portions are small and overpriced. The Bethesda store definitely needs better management and more attention.

This is my favorite gelato spot in the area. Prices are reasonable and everything tastes so creamy. I would definitely try the pistachio, vanilla, black sesame and the tramontana. Tramonta here tastes just like dulce de leche with some chocolate chip bits.Located right in Bethesda row this is a great after dinner spot. Lines are usually out the door, but they go rather quickly. If youre in the area this is a great spot to pop in and get some quality scoops.

The gelato is quite good but the layout of the place is a bit unpractical with the coffee and cashier at the back. Servers end up back and forth and get overwhelmed when crowded, accidentally skipping people. The portions are a little bit small for the cost.

The gelato is very good and with quality comes a little bit of a higher price. I had the stracciatella gelato and a cappuccino and they were both delicious

A real coffee experience for people that get that coffee is more than a caffeine jolt. The gelato is amazing!

Very disappointing experience today at Dolcezza Bethesda. The staff was rude from the first moment I came in. They had issues with the air conditioning apparently and almost insulted me when I kept the door open a second too long to allow my child in. They had only a few flavor choices as many had run out and the store had not been properly supplied. The ice cream/sorbet was completely melted and would not hold onto the cones. All in all, a very bad experience, especially compared to Dolcezza in Dupont where staff is relaxed, welcoming and experienced. Dolcezza Bethesda may blame the whole problem on the A/C, but then it is bound to remain a problem all summer long, as the store is too small to hold a line and the freezers are too close to the main doors. And in any case, it is no reason for the staff to be outright rude to the clients. They just lost one as a result, for sure!

Horrible! Untrained staff!! We called to see if this location offered Nitro (from a keg) coffee. The young girl said yes. Since we were running errands we made a point to drive to Bethesda from DC. When we got there we asked for Nitro coffee, the girl looked puzzled, then asked if we wanted room for cream. Should have known then she had to clue. My husband said it sounded like the same girl that was on the phone. I was hoping for the best then saw her grab coffee in a pitcher from the refrigerator and then grab Ive from the walk in cooler. She filled the glasses and set them on the counter and said here are your cold brews. Cold Brew doesnt not mean Nitro. So the fact that we went out of the way for coffee we could get at the local Starbucks blocks away due to your lack of intelligence and uneducated staff means we will NEVER COME BACK to any location. I should have just ate the $7.00 and been more satisfied since we both dumped our coffee in the trash after one sip!!!!!
