Wonderful customer service and food. If you are looking for safe gluten free options this is a great spot if your visiting the area. I have celiac and felt safe eating there and also did not get sick. Wish I had this cafe in my local hometown. I would be for sure a return customer weekly.Ordered Margherita pizza & ordered crab cake entree (both gf). Also ordered gelato later on not pictured.Cafe also has a great section where you can buy wine and gluten free section (cookies, breads) etc..

Ive been going to Lilit for over a decade and I adore this place. Unfortunately weve moved from Bethesda to Potomac and it is not as convenient as it used to be when it was only a short dog walk from my house. Still we visit it occasionally when were in Bethesda and need to pick up a quick bite. Please support this local and family owned business. They deserve to thrive because their food and service is top notch!

I visit Lilit Cafe often and have my gluten free favorites (chicken cheese steak sandwich, lamb chops, mahi mahi, and the cupcakes). The food is great and they make it fast. I also really appreciate the service and how they remember me and my usual order! Im not positive but I have not encountered a menu like this in our area for gluten free people. Breakfast, lunch and dinner and a lot of choices. You could take friends here provided they know it is a family place not fancy but can feed everyone gluten free and not at the same table and no one will feel they had to settle for salad again.

They have both a regular and gluten free menu here. So everyone can get just what they want. I had GF pizza (pictured) and a sandwich on GF baguette. They also have amazing gelato, which I totally recommend. It looks like a converted convenience store inside, so not the fanciest of places. Cute little Italian deli/mini market with some Indian Food options and overall very gluten free friendly. Im Celiac and my husband generally sticks to the gluten free diet whenever he is with me. My husband has the gf mahi mahi and said it was great. I had the gf french toast and a gf egg with cheese sandwich. My husband really liked his meal. Mine was pretty good and options I usually cant get elsewhere. My husband tried the gf peanut butter gelato. He is generally very picky about ice cream and gelato but he thought this one was very good. I had the gf red velvet cupcakes and its the best Ive had in the area.In the market area we found gluten free beers we couldnt find elsewhere and a whole freezer section with goodies from a gluten free bakery, Sweet 27. There was also an aisle dedicated to gluten free products from popular gluten free brands. As a Celiac, this place struck me with awe and a sense of giddiness. We will definitely be back!

I just hated. The rice basmati with cabab chicken was cold and plastic taste. For 16 dollars, we should expect better. For the hot sandwiches, I trusted the pictures on the website. They show french fries as a side and I received chips instead. It was the first time I order here and it will be the last time. The person who Asked on phone hang up immediately after explaining that its an extra. How should I guess that if its not shown in the description and the picture shows the hot sandwich with french fries and ketchup. He didnt even ask if I wanted to order them as side. He just hang up. Im so disappointed!

My wife has a really bad reaction to gluten, and our search for gluten free food led us to Lilits. On first impression, the place feels like a sandwich shop x deli x gas station convenience store. Utilitarian rather than romantic.Anyway, my wife really liked their gluten free crab cakes and the fact that they have an entire gluten free menu! That was fantastic. The unanimous five stars seemed a bit excessive. Perhaps the gluten free hook creates enthusiasm and bravo for that. The Greek salad had a balsamic dressing that complemented the olives and feta well. The Reuben used a sweet kraut closer to coleslaw. Too sweet overall, but the toast was grilled superbly and the corned beef seemed to be superior.A wide array of teas and beverages can provide an inexhaustible supply of accompaniment. The Waldorf wrap was generous with the turkey but we agreed the turkey drowned out the waldorf flavor. A terrific idea for a sandwich and who can complain too much about an innovative recipe not tweaked the way we would have. Nitpicky of us.The staff was exceptionally attentive and the atmosphere combination of fine dining and deli was novel, fun, and appetizing. 5.0 rating though? Its a terrific little haunt, but Bethesda is RICH with such venues. Cafe Lilit is worthy of placement in the rotation, but the gushing here was a bit over the top.
