Watch out for the meat department they put out spoiled meat, furing this pandemic and didnt give any refunds. I believe it was purposely just because of the pandemic. Tear open the pack to make sure food meat isnt spoiled.

They need to get a better meat cutter. Bought steaks from there and they were paper thin and charged me 6.99 a pound. I dont know what has happened to this place but it use to be the best place to get meat.

Yall know they sell rabbit here. Im serious bugs and his kin folks got lost on their way to Albuquerque. So for your next lord of the rings party or if your feeling like a lazy Elmer fudd then go to fourth ave supermarket. Oh and goat as well but theyre always sold out. Oh and its a spacious store with plenty of products and there is always a sale. Wabbit season down at The Fourth lol 😂

4th avenue supermarket have been going there many years I remember Frank and I remember when he first started it and I thank the Lord for the people that Ive met there and the good food that Ive gotten from there throughout the years

First item on my receipt was chicken breasts which I had not purchased. Had to wait in line at customer service desk to get refund for what wasnt purchased by me. Wonder how and why that happenned ?

Last time I shopped here I found molded produce, fruit & molded cakes it was gross & disgusting & I told the clerk about it too. He did remove the items but thats bad! 😡

Everything was very clean and the store is very COVID conscious. They have the best meats in town. Also, they cut their meat up right there in the store. Theyre always willing to help you. Try them out, if you havent already, I think you will be very pleased.

Price marked on the boxes of canning jars On The Shelves was cheaper than they rang up at the register. My wife confronted the manager....he said the price was marked from the wear house. The register price was a dollar more. She told him the shelves are stocked with many more that have the same price....beware, beware, beware....check your receipts!

Crowded with holiday shoppers, but all were in good spirits and courteous to each other.Mr. Harry Sparks, the security guard, who is also a friend of my husbands since childhood, was his usual smiling, upbeat and friendly self.All in all, a great grocery store, prices are very affordable and the selection of varieties ample.You wont regret shopping here.4th ave Supermarket is owned by the Delasondro family and has been a fixture in Bessemer since 1951...and theyre still going strong.

Customer service sucks. The person waiting on my had his foot all over the place where you get your groceries. He never spoke and greeted me, I had to ask for my change and receipt. And still never got all my change back. Glad I don’t have to shop in the hood for groceries.

Love this place ..... BUT this place really needs to do something about the restroom area which needs a thorough cleaning and a new smell other than urine and bowel movements... prices are extremely low and you get alot of deals here

Great deals, fresh produce; disappointed in some of the best by date items purchased. The shelf life/expiration date were too close and a couple of items were not as fresh as I thought (flavored water/soft drinks) they should be. Guess it pays to look@ all dates before grabbing SUCH GREAT ADVERTISED DEALS.😕

Hey Reviewies.. This place is specifically great for finding deals on a daily base. If your looking for items for your kids to have after school. I would definitely recommended this place. Now, The environment its the greats. Its older grocery store. Things might look older from your typical Walmart. The employees are ok. A lot of them look like theyre ready to go. They still check your items out but dont look for any help. They dont really have any employees around other then in the front of the store. Had a great experience. Spent about $150 and found everything on my shopping list and I didnt have to walk what seems like miles in a much larger store. The check out was speedy and the store employees were pleasant and professional. My shopping cart actually performed properly.

I love the grocery store that has everything. You can spend a lot less at this store more than you can any other store. They have everything and even things you cant find at other stores. I just love this store for many different reasons. And i tell everyone i know about this store. I dont shop no where else. The stores clean, the employees are always nice and helpful and you cant beat there prices.

Went to buy greens, produce dept went down. Greens withered 😡! Meats look ok, at least a lot better than it use to. Customer service could be better. How about a thank you.

Layout is set up similar to a Sams or Costco. Clean and well organized. Prices very accommodating. Checkout is fast and employees friendly.
