The most sustainable and fashionable choice - Buffalo Exchange is well known for being a top tier place to find high quality used clothing, and many near new. Ive been going to Buffalo Exchange for a few years now, always finding something comfortable and affordable. Theyre also great if youre looking to trade out some old clothes for some cool duds. Also, their clothes buying program is amazing if youre constantly cycling out of asthetics, fashion choices, or even seasonal wear.

I genuinely used to love this place but it has becoming an unwelcoming environment in recent years. As others have mentioned their buying system is corrupt and inconsistent. They will give you near to nothing for expensive brand name items in great condition, in this case it was because the bottoms of $200 pair of shoes were scuffed. The attitude is unfriendly and what you receive definitely seems dependent on whose buying.

Ive been shopping at Buffalo now for almost three years from here to Austin. The only consistent thing Ive noticed is inconsistency. The selling program is a joke and on level with other businesses like GameStop, almost every other item on sale right now is either bought from other companies or highly marked up, and the staff is accommodating sporadically. I used to really enjoy coming to Buffalo, but as time passes, there seem to be better and better options; this is quite a shame.

I have been going to buffalo exchange for years and have dropped tons of money into this place. I have consigned clothing and all. Today I went in there and got yelled at for trying on a zip up the front sweatshirt over my shirt. Their reason was you can hold stuff up to your body, but they don’t want it touching your face by pulling it over your head. Mind you once again, this was a zip up hoodie that never got pulled over my head. At the same time there was another gentleman in the store doing the same thing, trying on jackets, and did not get reprimanded. Once again I was just about to spend $100+ dollars in their store just as I always do every time I walk into that place, but this time because of their lack of courteous customer service I did not. I also have decided I will not be doing business with them again. Thinking back to all of the times I have been into their store, twice a month, I have never been treated as a valued customer or that they care about making a sale, taking my money, or want returning customers.

Exchange program is daylight robbery, they will misgender you, harass you in the changing rooms, and shame you over styles they don’t like.I spent all day yesterday cleaning and folding outfits just for them to offer me $6 for a brand new pair of jeans. Never again.

Buffalo Exchange is a great place for new and recycled fashion. I also love that you can trade in items. Fair pricing and fashion knowledgeable employees help make the experience. They also will donate the clothes they don’t buy which I think is great.

I did not feel like a valued customer, I asked for things to be on hold and one lady said yes. And then I come out of the dressing room and some other girl put all my items back and I couldn’t find them. The girls there have a snarky attitude and I have decided to stop thrifting there. Bummer how the employees act at this facility.

This is a great place to go if you want to be ripped off. First off, their system for buying clothes is extremely inconsistent and seemingly dependent on whos working that day. Ive sold to them three times, each time bringing roughly the same quality and same amount of items. Once I got 85$, once 53$, and once 14$!If you go there to buy clothes, you are better off going to the mall. Most of their clothing is used fast fashion like HM and Forever 21. Went shopping here a few days ago and went home and looked up all the prices. For starters, 4/5 pieces I purchased were Forever 21. For a store that is supposed to have unique vintage clothing, this is a little silly. To top it off, the forever 21 clothing I purchased was basically being sold for full price- one was even more expensive than being bought new at forever 21!Some Buffalo Exchanges are good, but I would avoid this one. Besides the previous issues I mentioned, the space is small, not much selection compared to others, and rude staff.

Redoing this review because I was too harsh earlier. They have some good deals on higher end stuff but their normal and cheap stuff like halloween masks, shirts with wear, and recycled cosplay with hot glue holding it together are still at the same or similar prices. I feel their should be some more distinction done between the two.

The staff are really friendly, but what they are willing to buy and why is really confusing. To test this, I bought a shirt from this store and then tried to sell it back a month later. I was told that the same shirt I bought from them and never wore was too poor in quality for them to sell!

Been coming to Buffalo in Bellingham for years... always great service! Lots of unique and classic items to choose from. Reasonably priced, store and clothing nicely put together. Often good selection of accessories and hats. Would recommend for someone looking for a funky shopping experience.

Here’s the thing about Buffalo Exchange: if you’re looking for more one of a kind, vintage items, their selection isn’t that great. It’s more of a “upscale resale” where it’s used trendy items, which would be great if their prices weren’t so high. There are other businesses that sell really cool vintage items as well as used modern pieces that have better prices. To me, it just seems that you’re paying for the used clothing item at new price or slightly marked down which seems unreasonable, espcially when catering to students. That being said, the staff is wonderful, it’s a great space, and you can find some cool stuff (they have a good jewelry selection), I just expected a little bit more from them. I also really like that with each purchase they give you a token to donate to charity so brownie points for that, but overall I was a little disappointed.

I absolutely love this store! Their staff are so nice and helpful and Ive never left empty handed. I recently sold some of my clothes and they took almost all of it and offered 50% in store credit or 30% cash (I ended up with $75 in store credit). The decor is amazing and their prices are so low youll never want to shop new again

I guess they have nice clothes but a lot of the clothes since its a thrift store are used and priced like they are new at their original store or similarly priced like Marshalls. I dont understand because you would think that the whole of the point of being a thrift store would be to offer stuff at a discounted / cheaper price than other stores. I rather buy something brand new if its priced the same as here...

This is a great place to buy vintage or stylish clothes. They offer seasonal clothing selections and even holiday attire. Prices can vary but its in line with other consignment shops of the same quality in Bellingham. You can bring in clothes to buy back for store credit, be sure to ask what they are looking for at that time because they dont just take anything.

This place used to be awesome, which is why I even give it 3 stars now. They used to have a big selection of fairly priced, gently used clothing with a range from h&m/f21 to boutique brand clothing. Some of my favorite clothes are from there, but from like 2-3 years ago. The last several times Ive visited since moving back this winter, Ive found the majority of their used clothes overpriced or damaged/stained/pilling. And the new ones they have are so poorly/cheaply made. Disappointing.

The best Buffalo Exchange Ive been to and Ive been to a bunch of them. The people working here are awesome! The proximity to WWU means you get a lot of different things here. Its not as fashion forward as other locations but you get a good mix of fashion and Bellingham fashion. There are awesome deals to be had here!

One of the few places where you can find good used clothes for guys. The shirt selection is amusing as well! I regret not buying this one cat shirt... Anyway, theyre a little expensive for consignment, but still great.

Over priced and the amount they offer you to buy used clothing is a slap in the face. Awful place. The one in San Diego Ca is much better... better prices, better clothes, better staff.

I brought in more then acceptable clothing. They took a jacket with a rip in it but wouldnt take the wholesome newer clothing? Theyre uptight of their selection and now, they seem just ridiculous and not worth the hassle.
