This is an incredible shop. Go visit just for fun! I promise that you will meet some great, knowledgeable, passionate people who really care about their work! I took in a large bin of inherited coins and stamps. The staff took their time, explained all their assessments, and encouraged a few keepers. The whole process was great! I loved looking around at their treasures, collectibles, artwork, unique finds. This is a gem in Bellingham!!!

The gentleman at the front desk was extremely rude. I went in with a variety of coins from the early 1800’s to 1950’s. I just asked him for an estimated value and after very briefly looking at it he told me they were worthless. I went to bayside right after that and actually got my questions answered and did receive a semi decent chuck of cash for a quarter of my collection. Point being I’d recommend “Bayside Coin and Jewelry.”

I am an upcycling artist, and love to bring new life into old things. This shop has been my own personal treasure trove over the years. I always know that RB is going to treat me as a valued customer, give me some great deals, and even get excited about my projects.

I bought some silver here and let me tell you - these folks are great to work with. Whatcom County is lucky to have a shop like this in downtown Bellingham (and also very lucky to have an estate sale business like theirs, as well).The staff are friendly, and respectful to all, the owner is sharp and on top of his game, and you feel like youre really being taken care of when you do business with them. Theyre transparent and open about what exactly youre looking at, prices and values, and what it means to purchase something like I did, which, at the end of the day, is a commodity with a constantly-changing value. Its comforting to buy from a business that is worldly and knows so much about the market.I will be coming back here and giving these folks more business; I will also use them for anything I need to sell. I have seen a couple of their estate sales, also, and have already recommended them to my family and friends who are trying to liquidate their estates - I know they do a fantastic job in that line of business, as well. I cannot possibly praise Irongate Estate/Bellingham Coin Shop more. They helped us to liquidate our property in September, 2020.We had a very complex moving situation. We have been in the process of downsizing and moving my parents, during COVID-19, from Point Roberts, WA across the border to Canada. Point Roberts is separated from mainland USA by two borders (in & out of Canada) and, with the border restrictions and safety concerns, the timing couldnt be worse. Also, there is no market for an Estate Sale out of our home, as the Point Roberts community is very small, isolated and practically empty at the moment as it mostly consists of Canadians with a 2nd vacation home who do not currently have access to their properties.Irongate Estate/Bellingham Coin Shop really came through for us and exceeded ALL expectations. The communication and response time was excellent. They showed up on the date expected and were very calm and patient during the stressful, but necessary, process. They gave our generations of belongings a 2nd chance at life as donations or to be sold by their business, rather than being sent to the dump (which was our only alternative option).The owner, R.B. Wick, also appraised the value of my fathers coin collection. He was very knowledgeable.Everyone we interacted with was helpful, personable, and empathetic including the owner who came himself on pick-up day. I also appreciated their interest in sustainability and giving back to the community by donating to those in need affected by the recent fires in Washington.I give Irongate Estate/Bellingham Coin Shop 10 out of 10 stars!

Buying and selling was a breeze, these people really run a square business. Nestled inside an antique shop too which is fun while you’re waiting. It has become my go to place when selling coins, bullion and antique jewelry!

I had the best experience with Justin the jewelry buyer. Very thorough and honest about the price he paid for my 18K bracelet. I had gone to another place for an estimate and they were very shady and lied to me about the kind of gold I had. Had offered me half what I got from Justin. So glad I looked around and found this place and Justin !

If youre buying gifts give them silver or gold. It always has value. Bellingham C.S. has a great selection and some of the best prices in the country. If you are selling your gold or silver they are very competitive and you should call BCS to get a quote. They are happy to give you a number and let you shop it around so you get the best price!

I had been meaning to stop into this place for a while and when I did, I was not disappointed! So many quality treasures to sift through and super friendly and helpful staff. They’ve got a lot more than just coins and jewelry and there are a lot of unique items and the prices are really reasonable. New favorite digging spot!

Awesome store! They have the coolest stuff I have ever seen. Everything from amazing pieces of art, beautiful quality pieces of antique and modern furnishings. They have a big selection of vinyl records, tools, electronics. Gold, silver and ancient coins, paper money with all of the accessories for collecting! I will be back often!

They dont have the store space to display everything they have available, but if you ask one of the employees about a particular item theyve always been happy to help me find what Im looking for and at a great price as well! Bellingham Coin Shop is an awesome shop filled with amazing items and GREAT prices. This is one of my favorite shops in Bellingham because of the unique selection. Great personality and interesting items, as in fun. Justin is very polite and knowledgeable. The place may appear disorganized, but thats part of the fun I mentioned. Just ask, the staff knows where everything is. If you own a large home, you might appreciate some of the large pieces sold here. The coin collection goes on forever.

Having been involved with coins for a number of years, I can tell you that the people working at Bellingham Coin Shop are some of the most honest, trustworthy folks around. Not only that, but they are extremely competitive with pricing, and dont mind taking an extra few minutes to explain their process of pricing. Will definitely swing by when Im in the neighborhood!

Not only did I find a unique piece that met all my needs, but I was excited that when I got there for the second time in just a couple weeks to notice that there was lots of new items to look through. I love a good antique store and also like a good coin shop. BCS has a great antique selection, and although they dont have the biggest coin selection like they always have at least one great deal on their bullion every time I go in.

Not much of a coin shop - this is a messy, difficult-to-walk-though, junk-strewn antique store (thrift store?) with only a few, sparsely-stocked display cases of coins - with no one attending them to answer questions or help. It took me over 5 minutes of stepping over other junk (furniture, old bottles, books, records, etc) to even locate the coins. When I found them, I saw only a paltry collection of the most common coins available: Morgan dollars, silver half-dollars, Buffalo Nickels and commemorative pieces. Very disappointing if youre looking for a real coin shop. Probably great if you like to go junking at antique stores (which I do). But I found the name of the place to be misleading and a waste of my time going there.

This eclectic and cluttered store has it going!!! Friendliness and humor a la Bham style. Then they have a set of that very thing Ive been looking so hard for. Then they throw out a price I can actually truly afford! So I casually glanced over at some beautiful rugs and couldnt help leaving with very full arms. All this in 5 minutes! After they had closed, mind you! Theyve got this business thing down. I hate to shop, but will defintely be back to shop at Bellingham Coin Shop!

Dealt with this guy named Arbys and as I was talking to him about an item he literally asked some girl who didnt know anything about coins to help me and left. I was shocked. I dont believe he was listening at all. To top it off I waited 20 minutes for someone to ask if I needed help.
