I ordered several items from Eddie Bauer online in Nov 2020. I accepted all of items except 2. It took me 3 weeks and several calls to get a return label. Customer Service kept giving me the US refund site.On January 15, 2021, I printed the label and returned the items.After 5 months of phoning, e-mailing to Eddie Bauer Customer Service and contacting my credit card company, I still had not received the refund. Finally in May a representative told me that he had refunded the monies and my credit account would reflect this in 2-5 days.This did not happen. When I contacted them again they kept telling me it had been paid and I repeated that it had not. I asked for a supervisor who then asked me for proof that the refund was not paid by sending them a copy of my credit card statement to the accounting department.I did this and still they refused to hear that I was still owed the refund. I asked for proof that they had credited my account. I was told that I would be called on Tuesday (this call took place on the Friday of the long weekend {July 1st}. Needless to say no-one called.In my mail box the next day was a cheque in the correct amount, with the wrong spelling of my surname and the wrong postal code.No apology, no accounting for the fact they held my money for 6 months,nothing.It is sad because the clothes are good. That is all I can say about Eddie Bauer.

Eddie Bauer is a great place to shop at, they have quality clothing, and great customer service. The store is very clean and organized to the best, employees always trying to help out or cleaning up the store. I also like how the store has a Ice Box, where we can test out products or even feel how its like in 11 degree weather. I really love the Evertherm down jacket, I tried it in the Ice Box and it kept me really warm. This store is great and I would reccomend to get a lot of quality products from them.

I received a pair of new Eddie Bauer moccasins for Christmas 2020. The stitching began coming loose within a few weeks. They advertise a lifetime guarantee on their products. So I quickly contacted them, they agreed to store credit and sent me an email label to return them. I included my name, address, email, and phone number on a piece of paper inside the package. I mailed them on the 5th, they received the slippers on 4/7/2021. The FedEx tracking number: 773317066642. I contacted them when I saw that the slippers had been delivered. They said it would be 10-14 days before I got the refund. I contacted them after the 14 days and they said it would be another 2 business days. I contacted them after 5 business days and they said it would be another 2 days. I have talked to Andrew, Paul and lastly Emil. Emil said they were having trouble finding the returned slippers. He said it would be another 2 business days for the store credit; that was 4/28/2021. So not only am I out of the $99 slippers, I never got the store credit to replace them. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!

I absolutely love their products and have shopped with them since I was a teenager. I am nearly in my mid-50’s. I am having a terrible time getting my account updated. I have tried calling 3 times to update, and have failed each time. The in-store service is superlative. The call center service needs a good deal of work.

2 Stars only because I like many of their products. Online Customer Service is poor.Here is the latest. Long story short, order placed on 12/11, received email confirming shipping on 12/15, today 12/24 and still no package. Many calls, chat sessions all with no answers and not one of the promised returned calls. When order placed the carrier showed as FedEx, shipping confirmation shows FedEx, web site shows FedEx but I am told it was shipped USPS and it is the post offices fault that my package has not arrived. USPS confirms label printed by Eddie Bauer but package never given to USPS. If you have a local store go there to shop (ours was closed) otherwise I recommend taking your business elsewhere.

Not sure how but they are always having a sale like 20-50% off. Like how can they do that, child labor? Drug money? Who knows. While it is often not the highest end, definitely can find very quality items here. Plus its right next to Cinnabon which is ideal. Would definitely recommend dropping by and checking it out. They also have a fridge you can hang out in which is kinda cool.

Ordered a coat on line in November. it got lost in the mail.. contacted Eddie Bauer on Dec 6th was promised a refund within 3 to 5 business days... nothing happened. contacted Eddie Bauer again on Dec 27th again was promised an immediate refund within 3 business days.. by Jan. 6 I still hadnt gotten my refund. sent an email since contact phone didnt even result an answer. in answer to my email I was again promised a refund within 3 day.. to this day nothing. not even response to another email I sent 2 days ago.. totally unacceptable ..

Terrible customer service. How long does it take staff to pick a jacket from the warehouse and stuff it in some packing? Over a week after I made the order and I havent received any tracking information or similar. I called customer service twice, both times waited for 20 minutes. The first time I called the rep said I would for sure receive my jacket by the expected delivery date. I called yesterday and the rep told me twice that the item was still in processing, even after I asked directly when it would be shipped. Its a shame... nice clothes but I do not recommend ordering from this company.Update... 5 days later they have told me my jacket was on back order is back in stock but still hasnt shipped.

Worst online shopping experience in my life. Kept cancelling the orders I paid for days before without any explanation. Sent me a wrong size and charged me twice for their mistake. Customer service doesnt bother to investigate it. Worst of all, they remove the orders in online order history to cover up their horrible mistake. Now I tell everyone to stay away from them. My now vintage Superior Polar Parka with a dense coyote fur ruff won the war against the worst cold wind and snow a fierce Chicago lakefront winter could muster. My hands never cold with those large vintage down mittens nor my feet cold with Gore Tex lined hiking boots. Thermal crew neck sweaters. Waffle knit pullovers. Flannel shirts. Stocking caps. Cords. Eddie Bauer quality, durability & product dependability has been and remains beyond reproach. The legacy of Eddie Bauer did not end with its sale or bankruptcy. It waited for the torch to be carried forward once more. For the focus to be narrowed, restored back to what made Eddie Bauer a legend. Not just the patents. Products themselves. Worthy of being expedition wear. A reality not a tagline. The spirit of quality and innovation that inspired those creations. The customer service in this store is excellent. I found out the jacket I was looking for was only available online. The two young men went out of their way to help me get the jacket ordered with free shipping to my home. The iPads used to make orders were not working so it required a call to Customer Service. They tag-teamed while assisting other customers and handling deliveries all with great attitudes and smiles on their faces. It was an enjoyable experience and so refreshing. Thanks!

Our family has done business with Eddie Bauer since 1948. It used to be an excellent company. This last transaction will truly be my LAST. I bought a shirt from them on sale for $15.00. This said shirt (was an addition to one I bought back in 2010) because it was a comfortable shirt that didnt ride up, good in hot weather, etc. I still have it, its excellent. But the shirt I bought on sale KEPT SHRINKING. I returned it with the original invoice showing date of purchase, the cost, etc. They claimed that they could not replace the shirt (though they had these shirts available online, telling me it was a summer only item), and took out shipping and processing charges for me leaving me with in store credit of $10.00. The SHIRT was defective. I called them regarding the differential on the shirt I paid for and the return in store credit. NO satisfaction what I got was a $10.00 return, thank you very much maam and hope you enjoy your experience. I tried to call corporate on this, only to have a phone message saying they will call ME when they have the opportunity. I guess I know why they went bankrupt back a few years ago.

Nothing short of a NIGHTMARE!!!I placed a Xmas purchase for my son on the website. My initial bank card order at checkout received a error message and that the transaction did not take and to try again. Second time ordered using my Eddie Bauer card no problem. After checking my order status I see I have been double ordered. I called the 800 customer service number (because the online chat unavailable) and after a 58 minute wait and having to listen to the most awful music ever produced the CSR proceeded to tell me that this was happening on their website ever since Black Friday! She then told me that her and the manager have noted my account and what has been happening is that the system will recognize it and cancel out one of the orders. Guess what happened next? Emails stating my orders have been processed, next emails my orders have been approved and being processed! Next email they have been shipped (Partials mind you!!). I tried calling my Eddie Bauer credit card to flag the purchase. They proceed to connect me with the customer service line which I was on hold for over an hour before I hung up.GUESS WHAT. I AM LISTENING TO THE SAME HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE MUSIC AS I WRITE THIS!!!! Its been 36 minutes.I travel extensively for a living and in my 57 years on the planet I have never experienced worse customer service in my life. I have left numerous emails and have made several attempts to call but obviously they are having this issue on a massive scale. I will never purchase anything again from this company. Its sad. I can only assume they wont be in business much longer with this type of service.

Tech support is terrible. 5 days since placing the order, still hasnt been processed. Tech support have no idea when they are going to ship the order, just make thing up like expect to receive it this week and changing it to next week in 7-9 days in 3 minutes.Some clothes are nice though.

Very snooty service by very young employees! We spend quite a bit of money at Eddie Bauer, & all we ask is to be treated with common respect & courtesy. This is why I shop online. With that said; Eddie Bauer has horrible shipping service, as well! They take no accountability whatsoever,! I have worked several retail jobs, & the last time I checked, the customer is always right! I normally don’t do online reviews, but I couldn’t let this one go. I am reviewing here because their website gives you no options to rate, etc..

As an Eddie Bauer fan, I stop in here every time I am at the Bellevue Square Mall to see what is on sale. I have swapped out all of my pants and jeans to Eddie Bauer, and have several of their Polo Shirts as well. Happy with the fit and wear of their items. I grew up a Levi person, but their products have gone down hill starting about 10 years ago, so I had to find something else. Eddie Bauer was what I found. Their jeans seem to last very well and their khaki pants are perfect replacements for my old Levi Dockers and they look better as well!

Its too bad they moved from the larger location around the corner, but this looks like a modern upgrade that looks pretty good. But the selection is alot smaller because of the smaller storefront. Nice to look at some of the featured products, but easier to buy online. It does include a cold room to try cold weather gear.

I found a great deal at Eddie Bauer online shopping during black Friday week 2018. The wife wanted a puffer jacket and Eddie Bauer had a 60% off deal for the jacket she wanted. I ordered it and put it under the Christmas tree. She was excited when she opened it but the size ran small. On the return options the only way Eddie Bauer spelled out it could be exchanged was to fill out the form and return it via shipping. My mistake for not taking it to the local store. They didnt ship the larger size that I requested but refunded me the purchase price. They explained that if I wanted a larger size Id have to order one at full price. For a company that is this large they are very cheap to not send the larger size as I requested. Eddie Bauer will NOT get any more business from me or my family!

My order was changed and an item deleted after I made it, but I am still being billed for my full order amount. No one notified me I found out on my own by looking at my email and tracking my order. I’ve been on the phone to customer service and I’m still on the phone for 55 minutes we’re waiting for a supervisor. In the meantime I called customer service corporate on my other phone while I’m waiting and they haven’t gotten back with me. I will update this if I get any satisfaction . If I don’t update this it’s because I just took the loss and gave up . Very sad !

I am very disgusted at how my recent transaction was processed.Used in store kiosk to make on line purchase. I used my $50 gift card, $30 friends reward and 20% coupon, final balance $5.93 which I paid with debit. My checking account was charged $85.93 and an additional $1.00? Customer service reps called this pre-authorization? why has Eddie B charged my $50 gift card and my friends reward $30as well as $5.93 balance to my checking account. Spent over 1 hour talking to reps on hold most of the time just to hear that because item is back-ordered that is what they do. What? my gift card that I paid for and my friends rewards is deducted from my account not applied to purchase until item is shipped.. This is not reasonable. Per rep all of this will be credited once my item is shipped. So Eddie B is paid money for gift card then takes it out of your account if you use it? I will not shop Eddie B again. So disgusted at this entire transaction.

I am very disappointed with a recent purchase that I returned for replacement due to a defect in the material. I had asked to exchange a pair of pants but found out later a refund was added to a Visa gift card that I no longer own. After a couple of phone calls and an email to Customer Service I was told not only was I not getting the exchange but I was out the $50 dollars that was refunded on the card. I have enjoyed Eddie Bauer products for many years , however, because of this lack of concern for a valued customer I will not longer do business with your company.

They dont want to deal with customer issues on their own products. Baby item was sold without straps. instead of trying to resolve this item with Eddie Bauer name, they forwarded me all over the place to try to resolve with the actual manufacturer. Still have not resolved it. I dislike these companies who are supposed to be the epitome of America but have outbound customer reps from other countries who do not even understand what you are talking about. i think they do this so customers will just get frustrated and give up.

Customer service has gone downhill over the years. More than once, Ive placed orders on items that are in stock but then never receive the item. Ordering from website does not work. Placed an order almost a month ago for item listed as in stock. No response for a week, then recieved an email confirming order and item in stock. The next day received another email stating item backordered and would ship in two weeks. Two weeks later, no indication of shipment, customer service says that item sold out. In most stores, placing an order on an item in stock reserves that item for you. Apparently, Eddie Bauer does not do that. They take their sweet time processing online orders and, if by the time they get to yours its out of stock, oh well. Oh well is right -- time to move on. There are plenty of other stores that can actually keep track of their stock, have better customer service, and free shipping.

Eddie Bauer has the worst customer service department I have ever run across. Still waiting for them to refund $180 of returned items and it has been over 1.5 months since. I’ll post again once we receive it to share the total time I’ve wasted with them. Have spent an hour plus waiting to get to a customer service person calling 5 times, people are rude and suck at their job, not helpful at all.Garbage of a service and company, will never order from them again and tell everyone to do the same. I have gone out of my way to tell people the same thing, that’s how bad it is. Who cares about the products when the company is pathetic.Never do business with them again, You’ll thank me and everyone else who has posted the same. I would be embarrassed to work here.

I have called 6 times and i have never spoke to a person. One time i called and waited for 40 minutes. All of the other times I waited for over 15 minutes each time. This is absolutely horrible and so disappointing. I would suggest NOT doing any thing with Eddie Bauer online. So bad. So sad. On Dec 1st the website had a glitch, told me my order was not placed so a duplicate order was placed. They will not answer emails except for with a canned response. I was charged twice and they ignore my requests for a refund. I have disputed the charge with my credit card company and I will contact them one last time for them to rectify this. Horrific (outsourced) customer service!

Ive been a customer for years but I believe I wont be one much longer. They cancelled my last order without any notice, kept the money (for a month now!) and at no point did they advise me of it or present their excuses. The explanation given: We were unable to verify vital information for your order. Without this verification, your order could not be processed and therefore was cancelled. Ill welcome any guesses as to what that even means. Oh well, let me just get my money back and Ill spend it elsewhere from now on. Please avoid.
