Last spring (2017) I worked with Nia Nguyen on new flooring for my kitchen (which had 1980s era linoleum) and bathroom (which had 2010-installed Marmoleum in a color I had tired of). For my kitchen I picked a vinyl that looks like wood, and a vinyl that looks like stone for the bathroom. Nielsen Bros. did a great job, from Nias professional customer service down to the installers, who did a superb job in one day and rendered additional service too. I couldnt have been happier then (18 months ago) or now. I happily recommend Nielsen Bros. for excellent products and service.

Had a great experience with Michael at Nielsen Bros. I was looking for a small piece of flooring to make a repair. Michael took the time to search their storage area. He had to move a bunch of stuff around with their forklift and came up with a suitable piece of flooring at a low cost. He took half an hour of his time to help me out when he could have easily told me sorry, no stock.

I’ve had great experiences with Michael Stumpf at Nielson for both myself and my clients. As a real estate broker, I need reliable service at a great value for my clients - Michael has delivered that time and time again.

We had a terrible experience with our carpet installation. The first time we used you, the installer called that morning and wanted to come at a different time or day. The second time we used you, the SAME installer called and said he was going to be late. He came about three hours after our scheduled time. He did not have what he needed to actually complete the job and had to go out again to get something. When I told him that I had to leave by a certain time (well within the window if he had come prepared and on time), and that he would need to come back the next day, he got a complete attitude with me and left in the middle of the job. My sales person and the manager got involved and did get someone there the next day to finish the job. The manager told me that he would follow up with me after it was completed and never did. My sales person was worthless during this entire process. I was shocked that the manager never followed up with me after I was so rudely treated in my own home. The only thing I ever heard from them again was an email bill. I would never recommend this company.

Nielsen Brothers did our carpet in 2016. We replaced the entire house. NB did the entire job in a single day and did an excellent job at that. The seams all look wonderful (which means you cant see them at all), they took away all the old carpet and underpad.Great job, Great attitude. I highly recommended them.

I worked with Mike Stumpf for the pricing, installation and style on carpet for a rental I own. Mike helped me weed through the carpets to find a carpet that should work, last well and have a great look and feel. The carpet I chose has the look and feel of something I would install in my home. The look of the installed carpet is great. I am looking forward to having my new tenant try it out.

Our carpet has been in now for 2 years. It has served us in exactly the same way Nielsens predicted. It was a pleasant experience to deal with this store from beginning to end. Delivery was on time, carpet laying was completed with minimal interruption and furniture moving was not a huge problem-the carpet layers did it ALL. It was a flawless experience.

If you need carpet, look no further. Michael Stumpf was great to work with and not only got our carpet in within a week, but he also had a guy come out to fix some cracks in our floors prior to putting the carpet in. Negative stars for customer service.We purchased and had carpet installed in October 2013 for two rooms in our daylight basement area. We were supposed to have the remnants hemmed and returned to us as a carpet runner. No.We were supposed to receive a written receipt and then an email receipt. It took until June of 2014 to get the receipt which I didnt NEED until I vacuumed one morning and the carpet frayed where it seamed with the tile. I called to schedule a repair and couldnt be put on the calendar for two weeks, July 1st.July 1st I was scheduled for 8 AM in the morning. By 10:15 I called the shop as I hadnt received a phone call that they were running late, nor had the repairmen showed up. I got voicemail and left a voicemail with our salesman, Michael Richards.At 11:30 AM I received a phone call from the repairmen that they wouldnt be arriving until 3 PM but that they would call before they left so I could know they were on their way. At 2:50 PM they showed up (no call). I told them I needed to get the kids up from nap, left my door open and told them to come in.By the time I got the kids out of the crib (about 3 minutes) the door was still open and the guys had gotten in the van and DRIVEN AWAY!I called the store again and got a human (Nic?) who said both my salesman and the manager were out of the office. I reviewed what had happened. He said hed call me back. About 4:30 PM he called and said theyd rescheduled me for 8:00 AM on Thursday. End of day I called and left another voicemail on Michael Richards line and stated my disappointment and anger at the situation.Michael called me back Wednesday morning with apologies and assuring me I would be helped 8:30 AM on Thursday morning.9:12 AM on Thursday morning the carpet repairman FINALLY SHOWS UP. No phone call hes late.Im not convinced that Nielsen is concerned with customer service after the sale. Its a small area for them, but a huge part of our home and a major purchase in our budget.I wont purchase flooring from them again. I hope I dont have to have another repair.

We had a great purchasing experience with Nielson. Nia did a great job helping us pick out the right carpet for our home. However, we didnt care for one of the installers that was assigned to us. I found open package of food, drinks, and water cups all over our home after they left. It just seems a bit unprofessional and careless for how much we spent on these new carpets.

We met Michael Richardson at the Belleuve showroom. He showed my dautghter amd me how different carpets would look in large areas. Michael let us take several samples home and then after the family decided on the selection Michael came over and measured, had the selection put on hold and then scheduled the installation in a quick turnaround. Today the crew arrived and Gus and his crew were amazingly quick, professional and superb. We will definitely use Nielsen Borthers this summer when we re-carpet the rest of the house.

This is a story of a salesman snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.Nielson Brothers had done a small job for us a couple of years ago and we liked the work. So when it came time to do a bigger job we went back to their Bellevue showroom. My wife and I looked at samples, made some decisions and by the time we were ready to talk we found we were talking to Mike Nielson. Mike made an appointment to come out the next Wednesday morning and take some measurements. We stressed we were hoping to have this done as quickly as possible, which he seemed to understand and acknowledge. The day came, measurements were taken, and I thought everything was a done deal. We seemed to have good rapport and as he was leaving he said he would call back later that afternoon with numbers and dates. The afternoon came and went without a call. About noon the next day I called Nielson Brothers. I figured if I could grab 10 minutes of his time I could get some answers to take the carpet installation to the next level. The guy answering the phone tells me Mike Nielson isnt in today, he took the day off. This guy Im talking to acts like Im bothering him. What do you want me to do, call him at home? the guy asks. I was not getting that valued customer feeling. I leave my name and number and find myself a little puzzled. Salesman comes to my house, takes measurements, says hes going to call me, doesnt, then takes the next day off, again with no call, and all this while I thought I had made it clear we were trying to get moving on this job. Then no call Friday. We were home all day so there was always someone here and no messages were left on the machine. Saturday morning we talked it over and decided we shouldnt have to chase around after Mike Nielson and beg Nielson Brothers to do our carpet installation. Ive found that if people give you indifferent customer service before a sale there is no reason to think theyll treat you any better afterwards. If Nielson Brothers had wanted our business they would have made some effort, any effort, to get back to us as they said they would with dates and numbers. By Saturday noon we had found another carpet store.But our story doesnt end there. Around 4pm Saturday afternoon, more than three days after he said he would call, Mike Nielson finally gets around to calling me. I told him that when he didnt get back to me we assumed he was no longer interested in the job and moved on. Hes shocked, he tells me. Then he tells me that he tried to call our number twice on Friday. I dont know why he would resort to such an easily fact checked statement but when he was called on it that ended the conversation quickly. Most salesman lose a sale that was handed to them because of either laziness or hubris. If you are a salesman and you tell a customer in need ready to sign a check you will call him back that day, youd better call him back that day. Or, with a really good excuse, youd better call him the next day. Because if you dont, thats crappy salesmanship, and its no way to start a sale or inspire confidence. Keep it up and you will ruin your reputation and you will ruin your brand. No customer likes to be made to wait, and customers who are made to wait because some salesman took their business for granted will go elsewhere.
