Couldn’t be happier with the work that was done on my Yukon today. Was on the way to Charleston from Bluffton and my truck started to overheat. They took us immediately after googling auto repair in the area, let us bring our two dogs in the lobby & Donna was super sweet and gave my girlfriend and I homemade rice krispy treats that she had made. They thought the issue was my coolant reservoir and said it would be $230ish dollars and found out that was not the issue and was able to fix it for $77. Donna also hooked our pups up with dog treats. Amazing service and highly recommended!

Finding an auto service you can trust is darn near impossible these days. I have been trusting Discount Auto Center for years and they have provided me with consistently fair service for all my vehicles. Occasionally they will bring something to my attention about which I was unaware. An estimate as to time and cost was provided and a decision was always left up to me. I trust them implicitly.

Dont bring your car there. They will keep changing you for a problem that shouldve fix the first time and when the problem is still going on they will charge you more. Dont waste your time and money.

Nothing “discount” about this place. Prices for parts are WAY overpriced. They also charged me for a part I didn’t need because they did not look at my vehicle to see what I needed to replace and replaced the wrong part. Told me they couldn’t return the part so I had to pay for it. That’s BULL and incredibly bad business practice. If you mess up, you take the hit that’s how you retain customers. I also told them over the phone exactly where the damage on my vehicle was so there should be no excuse as to which part to replace. On top of all this the front desk lady had the audacity to argue with me and was incredibly rude. This happened today: 6-12-19. Do NOT come here.

I recently needed to replace the clutch in my Mitsubishi 3,000 GT and also was due for an oil change. I called ahead to set up an appointment by phone and the staff were quick, precise, and were very knowledgeable about my car.Although they were busy, the reception desk still had the time to cordially greet me and make me feel like a valued customer. The sitting area has comfortable sofas to lounge on while your car is being serviced. Also while waiting, they had a nice television and magazine selection to keep me occupied.Overall, Id have to say that my second experience at Discount Auto was equally as satisfying as my initial visit. The staff was very accommodating and genuinely interested in repairing my car to the best of their ability. This attitude toward customer satisfaction will keep me as a loyal customer forever and incline me to refer all my friends.Thank you for exceeding my expectations of what an auto repair facility should be!

I went in for new tires for a car I was about to sell and the mechanic advised me not to spend the money. He noticed my tire pressure light was on and found a nail in the tire which he fixed. Very honest and trustworthy and I highly recommend them.

We have had great experiences in the past but in the last week we have had our vehicle towed here twice and told them the issue. Yet they kept charging us (over $300 total, not to mention tow fees) to charge other issues that didnt need fixed, and we woke up this morning to a dead car again. When we called and spoke to the manager we told him this and he said it would be another $300. Hell no. No thank you sir, you have now lost a long time customer because you wanted to keep charging us to put a bandaid on an issue that needed repaired and failed to do it right the first time, and had terrible customer service. I will not give them another penny! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE SHADY PEOPLE.

Bad diagnosis cost me $1200 and the problem is still not fixed. Very bad experience. I brought my car into the shop due to a misfire code. My car was skipping badly. Instead of trying to find out the cause of misfire, I was told directly that I needed a tuneup. Trusting the 5 star on-line reviews I told them to go ahead with the fix. A couple of weeks late the car starts to skip again with the same misfire code, I bring it back to the shop, this time I was told I needed a valve adjustment, so I went ahead and did it. When that didnt fix the problem the manager was certain according to his words that it was the injectors. When again that did not fix the problem the shop did what they should have done in the very beginning which is a compression/leak test. Now the shop quotes me $870 at least to do the repair. When I called to have them give me a better deal considering all the money I spent for the bad decisions they made, the answer was that they cant give a deal because they will lose money!

I hate doing this because I hate leaving negative reviews. My wifes grandmother needed new brake pads, so she looked around and decided this place would be the best option, my wife called them and asked how long it would be to fix it they said to bring it in at 11. My wife went with her and dropped off the car. They turned the rotors and put new brake pads on the front wheels of her 2014 Kia Soul. They charged $186 to put on 2 brake pads, turning rotors is easy, that should of been free with the service. After I walked in with her to check out, I asked her how much it cost, when she said $186 I immediately went inside and asked what they did, one man shrugged his shoulders and scoffed, and another gestured to someone else at the register. His reply was that they used platinum plated brake pads that were $55.90. Meaning they charged her $135 to dismount wheels, and replace 2 brake pads, I said I could go to advance auto and get 4 new rotors and brake pads for $200 and do it all myself and that it was outrageously priced, the woman in there said haha, you could never do that, nope. Little does she know I work on cars all the time, just didnt have time to replace brake pads. So not only does this place overcharge, they have horrendous customer service. Its absolutely appalling that they would take advantage of my wifes grandma, Ill never visit here again, and Ill ensure everyone in the car club Im a part of here is aware of this place. Pathetic.Will be contacting the better business bureau, just to inform them that this business will take advantage of people who dont know much about vehicle repair or maintenance.

We came down on vacation Labor Day weekend and the truck started to shake really bad. We stopped by just to see if they could at least help us narrow down what it was. They were totally slammed and it was pretty close to closing. But they still went out and looked over the truck for us and recommended a couple places near by that would have time to see us. Great group of people, highly recommend!

This place is a joke they cant even balance tires. After the initial visit of having my tires mounted and balanced, I had to return due to my tires not being balanced. I provided beads for the balancing and they ensured me they could do the job. On the second go around they had my truck for 3 days and never called once. I made the contact and had to pick up my truck using my spare key. Went in to get a refund being that I paid for a service I didnt receive, just to hear a mechanic say he doesnt understand how beads work but he did feel the bounce and he concluded that the back tires were the only tires out of balance. So I was refunded for the back tires only. After taking it to a shop that knows how to balance tires I was informed the front two were out as well so I called to get a full refund in which they denied me. Saying that they followed the directions on the bag of beads. Hahaha. Bet you did. Doesnt change the fact that you agreed to a job you didnt do so therefore the money should be refunded. I told the owner I was leaving a review and the response was ill just get on there and respond. Well I cant wait to hear what you have to say. Right is right and wrong is wrong. 3 days without a car with no communication, may have to buy another set of beads which is 40 bucks and I have to pay another place that can actually do a balance job on tires. Wouldnt trust them to air up my tires let alone anything else on my vehicle.

We take both of our cars to Discount Auto Center for everything......new tires, oil changes, problems, etc. They are great to work with, very honest, and they try very hard to get your work done as quickly as humanly possible. Just today, my battery died unexpectedly and even though they were totally backed up they told me to bring my car in. Once I go there they had my battery replaced in no time.

I was riding through on vacation Memorial Day weekend when we got some troubling rumbles from our axle. We took the truck to Discount last minute, did a diagnostic and they talked us through the issues, theb assured us we could make it back home need for repairs--all with no charge. I appreciated the straight talk and helpfulness in a tight spot.

I was quoted over $70 to do a 3 min. visual inspection of my lights, horn, tires etc. for a vehicle inspection form. 3 mins. out in the parking lot. No lift required just a simple visual check on a new vehicle with less than 4000 miles.

I would not recommend anyone to go to the shop. There mechanics are so unprofessional and so uneducated! I had an head job done on my car that was for $2500! After they had my car for almost a month! One day after picking up my car I noticed I had an Massive oil leak. I took my car back immediately for them to tell me my car wasn’t leaking oil! Meanwhile there’s oil under the engine and on my driveway every single day. I asked Ashley the receptionist to let me speak to the owner instead she put an mechanic (Wayne) .
