This was my first time here and the ENTIRE staff was so pleasant, patient, and knowledgeable! I arrived at my appointment 10 minutes early and was helped right away. The entire visit was only about 30 minutes. Highly recommend!

Coming here was such a pleasant experience! I was treated so well and found really cute glasses for extremely low prices. It was my very first time getting glasses and I was a bit confused but Mrs.Digna Howell really went above and beyond to help me. She spent a countless amount of time making sure all my costs were covered and that I was getting my designated benefits. I was disappointed in the customer service and professionalism at the Visionworks on Perkins in Baton Rouge. The receptionist and the retail manager didnt show interest in helping me get the right size for my new glasses that werent fitting well. When the receptionist told the retail manager she needed to assist me because she was the only employee who could, the retail manager told the receptionist, in front of customers, Im at lunch, Im not on the clock. The receptionist then told me to come back the next day or wait 30 minutes for the retail manager to return from her lunch break. The Perkins location exhibited poor customer service and poor professionalism.I left this location, drove 15 minutes to the Florida Blvd location where I received impeccable service from the staff at the Florida Blvd location.

Will never go back! The lady that helped us was more worried about my five year old wearing a mask than making sure glasses were fitted properly. She seemed to have no knowledge nor did she care about fitting glasses. Also spending $400 on glasses, I was told I would have to purchase a cleaning cloth because I didnt purchase name brand frames.

Called and asked for my prescription PD number online and they refused since they knew I would be buying glasses online even though I spent $900 a year earlier. This is a very petty business practice. If you want to buy glasses online, tell them you will buy from them and then take off with your PD number included.

So I go there last Saturday. My wife and I are wearing masks. The air is not on and it is carpeted floor. How can someone breath while waiting for a turn. On top of that, an employee came to take our temp and was not wearing a mask. My wife and I agreed it was not worth the stay. So we left the store.To the one who responds asking unhappy customers to email him/her. Have you addressed any of the complaints? If so, you need to put what the outcome was. As a matter of fact, there should be a store manager / owner replying to complaints not some god-knows-where dude asking customers to provide store number.

If I could give a lower rating I would. This started off all wrong and I should have just walked out. When we entered the store, we signed in and my husband and I waited patiently to be seen, but due to the unorganized system...was overlooked. Then to have someone rush through the process which resulted in me picking up glasses 10 days later with the wrong prescription lenses. I then was refunded my money because I was leaving out of town and needed my glasses in 2-3 days. I was told that my vision benefits would be credited back and I could go to Vision4Less the same day and use them. Of course I go the Vision4Less TWO days later (expecting eveything to be corrected since I waited an two days) just to find out from my insurance that there is no claim to correct my benefits. I ended up calling Visionworks to have my script faxed over and was informed they were busy and did not know when it would be faxed. So I requested to speak to a supervisor and what do you know.....the rep came back asking for a fax number. I still spoke to a supervisor in regards to my benefits who stated the she was told the request was sent and would have them call again. The representative at Vision4Less waited patiently and she stayed on line with the insurance company to see if it would come through. Well, no callback so I had to call again...requesting the supervisor who stated she GOT BUSINESS and could not get a chance to call me back to tell me that the insurance company is still waiting for the refund paperwork they sent. Wait...What?????...your representative is telling me to go to another eye place the same day and it will be accessible because they called to reverse the claim.. You saying they waiting on paperwork. This ended with me having to get more glasses for my weekend trip without using my benefits. But I definitely will stay on this until they get it right. Terrible customer service skills all the way around. They need to slow down and service customers properly instead of trying to make a dollar.

My daughter had an appointment for 10:40, when we got there they told us to look around but do not try anything on until they clean them. We offered to clean the glasses ourselves since it looked like it would be a long time till they got to us. She was not seen until 11:30 and they only did 1/2 the exam. While she was in there the girl did 1 eye and then just left with no explanation. She came back about 5 min. later complaining about other patients. We waited another 20 min. for them to finish her exam (doctor was very nice and thorough). She was sent back out front and we waited another 10 min. for someone to check us out. While the lady helped us I noticed one of the other sales lady left a customer who she was ordering glasses for, 5 times to either help someone else, take someones temp or help the sales lady working on another customer. The whole time we were there it was complete confusion. Our sales lady was very helpful and nice. I know they are busy but they need some guidance or hire extra help.

I visited Vision Works on 10/15/20 for my annual eye exam and to select new glasses. Dr. Gauthreaux was very friendly and knowledgeable throughout the process, as my prescription had changed. She took her time carefully helping me select the lenses that adequately fit my eyes. Ms. Alicia was the associate who helped me throughout the frame selection, insurance verification, and check out process. She was very patient and so polite. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Vision Works and will definitely continue to visit them for my future eye care needs.

The only saving grace here is Cathy and the doctor, however the front desk (especially Stephanie - the office manager) have allot to be desired.Having staff being curt and short. Not listening or taking 5 minutes to check the status of contacts or call you back when they say they will, is truly aggravating.Every visit no matter the time or reason is 1+ hours; yes, even to check status of contacts or to only pick up glasses. And its not because they are slam busy; its just disorganized.You may just want to save your time and sanity to just go elsewhere as I have never had this experience with eye doctors with 20+ years of contact wearing. I talked to other customers in the lobby that had the same issue, and vow to not return after pick up.

My experience at Vision Works with Ms. Pat was exceptional. She was able to accommodate my needs in a professional manner. Unfortunately, I cannot say that about the store manager rudeness on the phone and then broke the frame of my new glasses, while cleaning my lenses. She did call other locations to locate my frame. Highly recommend someone in this position who is more competent to deliver customer service in a professional manner.

I was in Vision Works the other day to rectify an issue with my sunglasses (Robert Mitchell) left lens trying to pop out. It was suggested by the general manager, Stephanie Blanchard that the glasses were sat on which couldn’t be further from the truth. The lady temporarily fixed the lens and I say temporarily cause the lens is trying to pop out again. The glasses cost a lot of money so I make it a point to either have them on my nose or in the case provided with them when purchased. I will make a return visit tomorrow to see what can be done to either resolve the issue, may need a new lens or frame or possibly shimmed. I’ve been buying my glasses from this establishment since 2004 ish without any problems whatsoever however this is not the case now. I will keep the review current, positive or negative pending the outcome.

So maybe I came too late in the day, but the phones were ringing off the hook, customers were not being greeted or attended to, there was no pen to sign in. Employees were talking specifically about a coworker who was off for 14 days knowing “exactly what she was doing.” It was just an overall mess. Not to mention, the employee made me full out my own electronic paperwork under her name(which I have never done at any professional office). It seemed like the employees were more ready to leave at “5” then to actually help guests. I have never experienced this at a vision works location before. There were 5 employees in the registration area/area to choose glasses.

Hello my name is Ginger and I am an eyeglass abuser.I have worn glasses my whole life and due to the size of my peanut head finding glasses that simply fit is a challenge I’ve grown accustomed to.I Love every thing about Vision Works! The staff - ALL OF THEM - Are far above and beyond. Even the guy in the lab saved the day by tracking down a duplicate frame since mine had been walked on. I was flying out of town in the morning and was in a total panic. He found a pair had them sent to his location and simply replaced my complex prescription lenses into the new frames! Every person there will do that. They have a GREAT selection and frequently run fantastic sales.

I went on 2/27 at 4pm. The doctor was very nice, patient, and explained everything to me in detail. The lady who did the pre-testing was super nice and so good with my 6 year old who could not sit still. The lady who helped us with picking out our glasses was so knowledgeable of our insurance and friendly. When we picked up our glasses it was so quick and easy. The lady made sure they fit and even gave my 6 year old tips for her first pair. This is definitely my new eye glasses place.

All the staff was patient and kind, especially Ms. Alicia. She was very helpful and patient throughout my picking glasses rampage. I had difficulty finding something that complemented my face and she took the time to help me search for several pairs of glasses and multiple colors. Her customer service was through the roof. She managed to help me and my friend all while answering the busy phone and greeting customers as they came in.

Long story short, made an appointment, took off work to attend, waited on phone for 30 minutes (no answer) to let them know I was running late, arrived and was told ‘sorry’ and to come back in two weeks...I was the only person in the store, no one was waiting, nothing... pathetic

Mrs. Pat is Amazing, she is super professional. When I brought in the wrong insurance information she was like a detective and found my current insurance with no problem, quick and easy and did all of the work for me. Mrs Kathy made the pre exam seamless and extremely enjoyable to talk with. Dr. Lewis did an excellent job of finding out what my prescription was for both my contacts and my glasses. 5/5 stars. Ive been coming to this location for years and the staff is wonderful. Ms. Kathy was friendly as always while testing my eyes. Dr. Johnson was very nice and listened to my concerns. She took her time, explained the situation and set up an appointment with a specialist. She made sure Robert was there to assist me in getting the right measurements for my progressive lenses. Dawn was friendly, patient and professional while I was shopping for two pairs of frames along with frames for my daughter. She took her time and explained everything in great detail. I made an appointment 2 days ago over the phone, and provided the backroom staff manager my insurance information. I asked if I needed to bring in my insurance information. She said no, that she would obtain it, and if there was a problem, shed call me. I showed up on time for my appointment, and after giving them detailed medical information (Ive never given that much information for an eye exam), the backroom manager said that they couldnt find my insurance information, asked a litany of questions, and then called MetLife (or a sister associated company), whereupon they still could not find my account. She asked me to contact HR--HR?? Im retired.... I asked why didnt they call me when they couldnt find the insurance information? They said that they were busy, and that they werent making excuses.... Uh, yes you were. How long does it take to pick up the phone to make a short call? So I left to find another vendor. On the way out, the front manager said to the backroom manager, WELL, YOU CANT PLEASE EVERYBODY! Really? Ill not go back there, nor will I recommend them to anyone, no matter how cheap their glasses are! If I could rate them a ZERO, I would. I RECOMMEND GOING SOMEWHERE WHERE THEIR ATTITUDE IS NOT, WELL, YOU CANT PLEASE EVERYBODY!

I just came back from my appt. and I had the best experience from my doctor (Dr. Kimberly Lewis and her coordinator Ms. Kathy Jones). They were very professional and caring, I was very comfortable while I was in there care.. I could not find a certain frame online, learned that it was discontinued and asked Customer Service to search for it thinking that it might be in stock at some store. Was the worst experience ever, me and my girl schedule a appointment for 2:45 and 3pm Tuesday. the first day experience went very well, nice and friendly staff she got her glasses the same day, mines was going to be ready the following day Wednesday. Wednesday they sent me a friendly text at 1:57pm saying my glasses was ready I arrived at their location at 4pm, and they couldnt find my glasses. I understand that mistakes happen, but whats not acceptable they consistently asked me, are you sure no one picked them up, they asked me 7 times and my answer never change. at this point I felt like they were assuming that I was trying to get a free pair of glasses (not the case). After 30 to 35 minutes no glasses were found. they said they would have to make me a new pair and it will be ready the next day Thursday, as soon as I left they look for my girl number and called her to ask if she pick up my glasses. she wasnt able to answer because she was at work at the time. but she called the next day Thursday and asked them what they wanted. they told her they were calling to see if she pick up the glasses. And she told them no she didnt. but they said they had a mix-up with the paperwork and the glasses were ready today (Thursday). I went in Thursday to pick up my glasses there wasnt no apology, They didnt accept their faults or anyting the lady ask me my name handed me my glasses and told me if they needed any adjustments come back. I feel like they at least owe me apology and should have accepted their faults. So at this point I will be shopping Elsewhere for glasses

I called this Visionworks locations to ask for the price of an exam. My insurance doesnt covert he full price and only give you a discount, meaning you have to call vision centers for a price. The women on the phone instantly responded with rudeness; without listening to my question. If this is how the treat client prospects, I cant imagine their cliental to grow.

Have been a long time patient of Visionworks (Bluebonnet/Perkins)! Dr. Lewis is great. So very attentive, thorough , and complete in her examination and recommendations. Highly recommend! Pat, and Kathy are extremely friendly and very thorough and compete in their service and fittings. Makes for an easy and nice experience when purchasing glasses and contacts. Again highly recommend! Competitive pricing, and great service, both by Dr. Lewis and the entire staff is why i go back to Visionworks on Bluebonnet/Perkins for my eyecare needs... HRZ....

I had a good experience. The doctor I had was Ms.Kathy and she was very nice and patient with me. I took 2 hours the first time and the second time I came to try to put my contacts in, I took about 40 minutes and I put them in. If you are interested in this doctor, you should come, you will be satisfied.

I visited this location to get an annual eye exam and it turned out, I also needed glasses. Dr. Lewis, conducted my eye exam, and she was so pleasant to work with. She also checked on me later while I was on the floor looking at frames. One of the managers, Ms. Pat, helped me the rest of the way. She explained the different addon options available along with prices thoroughly. Additionally, she took her time to explain a proper fit and what complimented my face. My glasses were ready to go within an hour of finalizing my selections. I had an overall good experience and Id return for future services. Make sure you see Dr. Lewis and Mrs. Pat Brim on your next eye visit!

Im not sure how the previous reviews are so poor. I went here to get glasses. I have had glasses for twenty years and I have never been happier with my expierience. The best part is that my glasses were ready an hour after I paid for them! The facility is very pleasing to the eye and clean. They use the most modern technology and the exam was efficient. They were kind, and it was easy to get an appointment. Also, they are located at Perkins and bluebonnet. The GPS brought me to bluebonnet village which is just trees.

Dr. Moore and Mrs Pat was awsome. I drove from Lafayette to get my new frames. I have told everyone I know, they are really great at what they do. I left Eye Masters for Vision Works. Bluebonnet location is my new store. I Love them

So, here I am driving along and I’m pretty forgetful at times, however, I just remembered I needed glass (cause... you know I can’t see good) and what do my eyes see... a Visionworks! I turn into the lot, walk into the building and thus my experience begins. I was immediately greeted by one of the associates and I thought to myself... I’m getting warm fuzzies🙃. I asked the associate that greeted me I’d walk-ins are accepted and she said yes, I didn’t wait long until I was able to see Dr. Lewis and when I say she was amazing person to work with I don’t think I could’ve been more comfortable. After I met with the doctor an associate Mrs. Pat assisted me with frames and questions. Now, let me tell you something about me... I am super undecisive sometimes which can frustrate people, Mrs. Pat realized this and took the extra time to point out some frame options that she thought would work best for me and even went to the extent of going over all price points, I was almost overwhelmed, but she patient and super informative which helped me finally make a decision. All the associates were a pleasure to meet but I would have to say, I’m super big when it comes to customer care and Mrs. Pat definitely has my vote, she was attentive, caring, patient, and her level of professionalism was beyond any expectations that I had for place. I don’t know what her position was but she needs to get promoted! I’m definitely coming back for my next pair and hopefully if Mrs. Pat hadn’t gotten promoted b/c of her awesomeness, I’ll be purchasing from her! I’d recommend this location to everyone and anyone, go talk to Mrs. Pat!

Dr. Gauthreaux is awesome. I was instantly greeted and helped when I walked in the door. She is a sweet person. She made sure I was satisfied. I didn’t feel rushed at all. She answered all my questions. I will return to this location because of her.

My sale rep was DAwn A. She was an excellent sales rep told us everything we had questions. About the only thing that was unprofessional was when she was explaining to us about our glasses she was correct by a coworker which name is (ms.PAT B )while we were sitting there . Its just something you dont do in front of costomers but over all everything else was excellent
