They steal and misplace your belongings on the consignment side. Might be pretty good at sale because they pick and choose what to pay you for when you do consignment with them. It’s pretty much a high end scam they take from and don’t pay the people who helps keep their business running. It’s only so many people that will keep bringing things there and don’t get paid.

I had an incredible experience shopping and styling an outfit with Lisa. She is the real deal. She not only personalized my service and picked out items for me, she took the time to understand my body type and style. La chic gives the service that department stores used to be known for and that is rarely seen these days. There is great inventory and the service is top notch.

This was my first time to visit the store and Im glad I did. Although I was quite vague about what I was looking for, Madeleine was very patient in helping me out-- never once making me feel pressured to hurry up. Her attitude will give any store a 5 star. It seems like this place needs two separate reviews: one for shoppers and one for consigners. My wife and I had a great shopping experience there. While it seemed a little challenging to browse the items, we told Lisa what we were looking for, and she came back with several options that were perfect. I am sorry for the commenters who reported bad experiences with consigning their stuff; our experience with shopping was wonderful. Note also that we were there in December, and they were still recovering from a recent flood and robbery. Perhaps, that has something to do with their difficulties with consigners.

I am having an extremely bad experience with this shop and merchandise that I have cosigned there. I consigned 9 items in April. The contract period ended July 27th. I went the week before to pick up my items that were not sold and I was told I could wait the week. When I went to pick them up, I was told that 6 items sold and that the checks would be issued in August. At that time I also left several items on consignment. When I called in August about picking up my check for the first 6 items that were sold, I was told that because the items sold late in July the check would not be issued until the first week in September. I just called about picking up my check and was given a story about flooding and that the dresses that I had consigned were damaged and I would be getting reimbursed when the insurance claims were settled. I explained that I was calling about payment for the items that were already sold not the items that I brought in at the end of July. She said I already gave you the explanation. I asked how could it be that the items that were already sold were damaged by a flood AFTER I had been in on July 27th - when I was told they were sold. She refused to give me an answer and told me if I had a problem I should come in next Tuesday to speak with the owner. This makes no sense at all and I think it is a scam. They simply do not want to pay for what was sold. I would never consign or buy there again. It does not even deserve one star but the site will not let me post with giving some kind of rating. I am seeking legal recourse.

My experience was fabulous! I just ducked in for a quick peek to check it out (as an out of town visitor to Baltimore) on an impulse but I walked out with some knockout work wardrobe items that are on season and in tempo. They saw what I had pulled for myself to try on and they brought me even more great pieces that were similar in style, color, vintage etc. to try on. I ended up with some terrific finds, saved a lot of money, and made some new friends. Well done, ladies! Congratulations on your expansion - youve got it goin on!

If there was a 0 star rate that’s would be my rating. They are so unorganized and long winded with their services. They stole half of my friends belongings and shorted him on his money. They are never open for business. Terrible communication. Be aware of you are taking items to sell.

The owner Mary Ann was a treasure to interact with. Such a sweet heart & her store is absolutely beautiful & one of a kind. Please go visit...you wont be disappointed!!

Seller Beware......On 11/21/2017 I gave 8 items to La Chic Boutique for consignment. Among the items, a black mink coat $10,500.00 new, a Vassari gown $1,000.00 new and a mink hat at $450.00. On 01/25/2019 I came back to pick up my items. My Vassari gown was missing, the mink hat missing and to make matters worse I was given a check for $152.00 for the mink coat. I left the shop feeling, Ive been had, not even an apology for the missing items.

Nice place to shop. Terrible place to consign. They are very disorganized and do not keep track of items sold. I brought in 11 items, all in very good condition and all brand names. Tried to follow up a few times but never got a returned call and many times they are closed when they are supposed to be open. Finally I got ahold of the owner who said none of the 7 items I brought in sold. When I questioned her she got nasty. I’ll find another place to consign. Not going back.

Stay Away From This Place!Store is a disorganized mess. Owner is absentee. Place is never even open and parking is a pain.

Sometimes not always open when stated on the door but a great place to look for awesome clothes for a nice price. I have bought a few things from here!

Cute clothing and accessories, the owner knows her business and is so helpful, and she knows her customers. Dressing room is comfortable.

If you plan to sell your items, please stay away from them. They are very disorganized and the owner is very unprofessional.If you plan to buy, please shop around online because they are very expensive.
