Had my Ruger Mark 1 Cerakoted here. They out source this service. After about 3 weeks, I inquired about the status. I was told they had to send it back because the finish was a little light on the rear if the frame. About another 2 weeks, and I was told my pistol was ready. At the shop, I noticed scuffing which the clerk tried to cover over by rubbing on it. The frame and barrel/receiver unit were loose in a plastic tub, and not wrapped to cushion any shifting within the tub. I paid what I consider top $$ ($200.00) for this service.Upon reassembly at my house, I noted the following: 1. Finish not smooth and even(dark underneath barrel where old bluing was bleeding thru) 2. rear upper portion of grip frame, above safety, finish wore off from my handling it 3. overspray inside frame that interferred with internal parts tolerances. This is not a happy experience. It appears the finish was applied by a non certified hobbiest that does not understand prep, or basic spray application...too much air pressure and not enough product going through the spray gun...or just moving to fast to get a smooth, even coat. This is just my experience and opinion, but I will look other places for this service in the future.

Ive taken my firearms to various gunsmiths in town, and Erik is simply the best. Hes a US Army vet, which is important to me, and he does amazing work. He did what the other guys couldnt figure out.

I had issues with availability. Half of the time no one is their at all. I took a part in to have some work done. When I was finally able to pick it up, they tried to up charge me from the original quote with no given reason. I was willing to overlook all of this and continue to go back if it was not for the completely terrible and passive aggressive attitudes.
