A ok stop. Thank God for the Jack in the Box next door. But I just left there I bought what the package said a sausage egg and cheese biscuit turns out its just a sausage cheese biscuit. Very unprofessional of your people.

Truck stop itself is clean. Store is well stocked. Staff are very friendly and helpful..RV dump finally working this trip...electronic lock you get code when you pay. But there is a water leak next to RV gas pump. Water flows down to the RV dump. Green algae so its been running for a long time. Mosquitos?? I stopped there a month ago and the water was running then. Told the cashiers desk.

I was stuck there for a few days. Do to car trouble. The employees are awesome, very friendly, and very helpful. Inside is very clean. There is a wide variety of products sold. Plus inside there is a Subway....15$ showers. Plus a TV room to relax.The BEST SMELLING BATHROOMS EVER!!!! Very clean!! Smelled like flowers 🌹

Nice new Flying J, clean store, big lot, service center, CAT scale, showers, the only thing I wish they had:the hot food section where they have scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, etc and then switch over to potroast, baked chicken, etc...

Theyre working on remodeling it, so I will come back at a later day to update my review for now it would have helped so much if the scale was up and running but unfortunately it is down no idea when it will be up and running again.

Driving from Vegas to Sacramento. Stopped here. Went to the bathroom, and my car battery died. A few staff was generous enough to come out and give me a jump. It was 1:10AM. 5-14-21. Great staff here. Very friendly, and gave me suggestions ! Thank you!!!

Nice clean facility. Showers are clean, parking lot is spacious to maneuver and staff if friendly.

Its a good location right off the freeway. Easy to get gas, go to the bathroom and get on your way. My problem was with one of the cashiers. She was quite mean the entire time we were there. People are for the most part traveling through the area. Theyre tired. Be patient with them.

Truck drivers be careful at night timeSomeone took my spare tyre from the trailer this happened twice with me in the truck parking area. Someone is watching you , when they see you are sleeping or away from your truck they take your belongings . I won’t stop here anymore , dangerous

Very bad costumer service

1.5 hours for a trailer washout. The inside of my trailer was not bad at all. $39.99 price.20 mins just to setup their system at back end of trailer. They tarp up so the debris doesnt fly everywhere then they have to hook up the hose and pressure washer. Drivers with appointments need a place that is ready to go when you arrive.Will use this as last resort next time.Unable to clean trailer floor. Left because took too long.

You may not believe this but they have the best pizza here and its sold by the slice. There is also a Subway and a Dennys to eat at. Gas prices are very reasonable. Easy on and off the freeway. Open 24 hours, 7 days a week.

Definitely caters more towards the trucker side of things, but theres always a spot to park and the bathrooms are clean enough. Large selection of food items and truck stop knick-knacks other convenience stores wouldnt have.

I counted 8 rows of parking which easily equates to over a 100 spots. Right under a cell tower too so you have full bars. Almost the best and most convenient TS Ive been to date.

Western union self help code error and the manager wouldnt call western union to figure it out. I tried 3 times. She said I must of entered something wrong. Thats why I did it 3 times. Wish Alexandria was working. This new manager needs some customer service skills. Not coming here again for western union..left upset. If it were a great manager she would have called western union and tried to fix the Prob and directed me to a western union location close by that was open..thats what i would have done..jusr because someone can work night shifts does nt mean they should be promoted to manager.

This flying J is always so busy and there is not enough staff member to help you out when you are checking out specially during the hours morning there is always rush and lots of costumers waiting to check out but there is only one counter person dealing with all the costumers .They are understaff , the bathrooms are very dirty .

I frequent Flying J off exit 39 and for the 2nd time someone has stolen my spare diesel truck tire. During the day time hours too. They need security.

My Health is a real concern for me so I would hope they take the masks seriously but they don’t enforce it. I would hope this company takes this pandemic more seriously but no. It’s more about making money than making sure no one gets sick. I wouldn’t be surprise if the cashiers get sick from all the customers who don’t wear a mask.

This place done got lazy.California is getting back to normal but dennys is still closed. Their bathrooms are trashed and now this after waiting in line for 10 minutes this is what I overpaid for.

Definitely not the cleanest Flying J in the state. This picture shows the conditions of the bathroom. For Truckers, luckily for now there is plenty of street parking when their lot fills up for now until something is built in the open areas surrounding this Flying J.

When I came in I was just gonna fix an air line that I broke by mistake why parking in the lot and just as always things happen for a reason. The mechanic there Juan noticed my rear wheels werent activating the spring action and so he looked into it to see that I had been driving with little to no rear brakes. He went way beyond expectations and definitly made me super happy he caught that and didnt let me leave without pointing it out. Juan you are truly appreciated keep up the good work.

Would be nice to know theres no water or refills or showers till 5/20 before stopping here..

My first time stopping at the Flying J travel center in Bakersfield to shower & rest a bit.Went to the counter to buy a shower, Mary behind the counter needs a real lesson on being friendly, (wow what a grouch).Got into the shower and no soap in dispenser. A tick showed up on the wall at the sink while shaving.( A tick.......REALLY!!! )DIRTY walls, no hair dryer, only one old ragged towell, a tick, no soap in the shower dispenser, unfriendly staff, no place to put ones travel bag of clothes, what else can I say but this is the first and last time at Flying J....

A small pitstop is the reason why we stopped as we headed down South. We navigated in and out of the parking lot with ease. The restroom was clean and roomy. We picked up some snacks that were reasonably priced and check out was smooth. The cashier was friendly and put up with our shenanigans with a smile on her face.

Night time ladies were super rude!! First I asked to scan my rewards card so I could earn as I’m a PROFESSIONAL DRIVER. When she pulled up my account and saw PROFESSIONAL DRIVER, she verified my name with an attitude. Then, after spending 15$ in the store I politely asked for a bag and she said “I don’t have any” but the end of the counter on the other side was full of them. So she just didn’t want to walk there to give me one. Being a female driver is already hard enough with dirty looks and smart comments but the place where I spend most of my time, shower and spend my money I expect more then that! If you don’t like your job then get a new one but don’t give an attitude to a tired driver 👍🏻

I was not expecting this Flying J in the northern outskirts of Bakersfield, Ca to be as great as it was. The quality of their PJ Fresh is one of the best that youll find in any Pilot/Flying J. Id take a picture but I already scarfed down that slice of pizza.

Was kind of surprised to see Soo many foreigners working for Flying J. It was almost like being in another country. They had everything I needed though.

Flying J is well established. Also clean restrooms and showers.

Pilot staff is great. Subway staff is stingy with the salad ingredients and the container is only half full. Youll get more bang for your buck if you buy a pre-packaged salad on the Pilot side.

Shower were available and food was fresh.

Be aware of cashier. Card was compromised for an amazon purchase. Guess they don’t make enough money to afford a $10 item. This has been reported as fraud. Hope it was worth it.

I drove there to dump my RV and it was disgusting and unsanitary. I did like the RV entrance but my main purpose wasnt gas but the dump station.

A fantastic oasis on a long trip. They have everything. Great selection of items while you fill your tank. Clean restrooms and with Dennys and Subway inside there something for every taste.

This is actually a very nice place to stop. This place has good service. We were delighted to see the selection of food. There was a wide variety of snacks including some healthy options, not to mention there was two connected restaurants. The bathrooms were kept in a clean and satisfactory state.

It was good, we had Great service at the Dennys... store was relatively clean, staff was friendly, & they had a little of everything a person might need while traveling..... However it was very busy & there were only 2 cashiers so service was slow but other then that it was good.

We were able to get a better price on gas than the other places nearby, and there were PLENTY of snacks and beverages to choose from as well as decent enough bathrooms!I wont deduct a star for this, but be aware that the bathroom sinks are designed in such a way that they will splash everywhere if you turn it on even just a little too high. 😅

I just love the fact that all most truck stops, like this Flying J, have a selection of glass art and figurines. As well as great snacks and hot food options. Kudos to both of the Flying J employees for helping me with my glass bear. Will be stopping by if I am ever down south again. Oh and of course before I forget, GO SHARKS! Nice modern stop at exit 39 off California 99. Only one RV pump with a bit of a narrow access. You could easily fill up at one of the other pumps if the RV pump was occupied.

Extremely slow service. With masks being mandated, cashiers need to get customers out a lot faster so that customers who have a problem having a mask on for extended periods will not have to wear them longer than needed.

$15.00 for a shower. Only takes about 15 minutes to take a shower. So dollar a minute, crazy. Taking advantage of truckers out here, good for you. Prices on everything is at least double what a normal person would pay, but they know us truckers cant go where normal people can, so double and triple the prices.

This place is dirty as hell. Ate here 2 times and got sick as hell twice. Employees have a bery poor I dont care attitude especially about cleaning the bathroom.

Lots of fast pumps. Both a Dennys and Subway on site. Numerous bathrooms and showers. Full Flying J deli/hot food available. Theres also a bit of green grass outside of you need to walk your pet. This stop has it all.

Theres two cute kitties that were outside. I fed them turkey from subway. Please feed them. And the facility was very clean!

Somebody broke the lock and stole spare tire from the rack while i went in to take shower and they dont have cameras in parking lot 👌👌not stoping here again

You can never go wrong stopping at one of these. They have good gas, a great selection of items and clean restrooms. We always look for a Flying J when traveling.

People pay to have a clean shower space. This is not a favor! Management needs to step up its standards. Utilities paid for needs to be of clean and hygienic for use. This is a service paid for. Step up the improvement.

Denny’s has been shut down since November!! If you are a Truck driver be aware No Denny’s... 3 washers only and you need coins. Washer also are way too long 80 minutes for heavy and 66 minutes for normal wash. Subway here but NOT open early. This was posted January 3rd 2020

Lots of pumps, lots of parking, nice clean and neat building inside, decent food. All in all not a bad place to fuel. The most important thing to me is I can usually arrive, fuel and leave within 15 minutes. Thats a huge plus on most days. Theres a bit of construction on the streets around there right now, but it doesnt seem to hurt movement too much.Two negatives to me. Sometimes the pump area is a little messy and slick with fuel on the ground. Not ridiculously so, but enough to hurt my opinion. The second is the design of the pumps. The line of pumps bends in the middle, so you pull forward into an area that is concave in the middle. So if trucks pull forward from the pumps and stop to go into the store or something, a couple of trucks at pumps can end up being blocked from leaving. VERY bad design.

Decent fuel prices, easy access, lots of fast, grab and eat, unhealthy food and drinks to keep you going on a trip. I usually stop here and at similar places on trips. If it had better food choices, Id stop here more.

Now this place was awesome, really neat, and clean. Customer were fast and superduper friendly. The tourist gifts were the best and at reasonable prices!! It was a brief stop in my way back home. I didnt get a chance to check out the bathrooms but I imagine they were just as nice...

Very clean and well organized! Gas prices were cheaper than neighboring stations! Great selection of gifts and souvenirs. Highly recommend for a quick meal while on the road or a chance to quickly and easily fill up your gas tank. A regular stop for us on long road trips

Coffee on 2/21/19 was nasty. The coffee pot were nasty and haven’t been cleaned for awhile, the coffee was old, and was about out. The fresh brewed coffee is too strong for me even though it good. At 11:00pm there was NO hot food. Wish Flying J will keep hot food options at their deli so we have something to eat at night other than pizza options and sometimes we don’t even have pizza.

Could have been better, could have been worse. The diesel fuel lanes had timers over them to let you know who had been there longer. I assume the longer they had already been there then they would be pulling up out of the way sooner.The Dennys Restaurant inside had been closed down, although all the neon signs outside were still lit up.Restroom had not been cleaned overnight. We stayed in our truck overnight and it was clear to see. Im speaking of the ladys room.

Fast friendly staff. Good place to stop for gas and goodies. Some have restaurants inside or many fast food options near by. I always stop to get gas stretch my legs get a drink sometimes I will get something to eat eat whether its there food or one of the options near by. Great stop in for traveling always clean restrooms and plenty to see.

Only one person working Like 10 people in line no coffee and everything is nasty

Large lot with showers and laundry. Has the usual food and truck items. Lots of trash cans on lot. Has a Dennys inside and a jack in the box up front. Fruit and other vendors around as well. Not a bad place to stop.

Were RV-ers and stopped here for the night. Plenty of level parking. Showers are excellent, very clean, plenty of hot water, though expensive ($15). They let us shower together for one price and I used my own towel. Friendly staff and very good Pilot coffee!

One girl that transferred from another store was friendly, everyone else could care less in the store. The laundry didnt have a single working washing machine and the laundry room was filthy, there were several places in the store that could use a cleaning. Oddly enough the restrooms were very clean. The Dennys here is really terrific. The parking lot is large and fairly clean. Shower was very small but clean, no seat at all besides stool, barely room for me and my wife in there. I saw a shore power kiosk on the front of the store but I didnt notice which spaces if any had it.

Its truly reassuring that no you can make a cross-country trip and time it in with locations like the Flying J Travel Centers. From having a place to pull over and take a hot shower on a long journey, to Simply being able to have dependable 24-hour places to be able to rest at and shop for Essentials and even some technology. Glad that there are so many Flying J Travel Centers, and I hope there gets to be many more.

Do not go to this subway. The lady in the evenings does not pay attention to people when they order this is the second time she messes up on mine and theyre will not be a third

A reliable truck stop. However, I drive a motorhome and they have a dump site thats pretty easy to get into. When I spoke to somebody before going there they said they had water that I could use to put in the motor home. When I got there they said they didnt so, sometimes the right hand doesnt know what the left hand is doing. But the place has a lot of room and its easy to move a big vehicle around their lot.

Buy pizza at this place fresh baked 24 hours a day

Love to stop at a pilot/ flying j. Definitely a plus when traveling with my trailer and am able to fuel up and find a space with the big Riggs to pull in and get some sleep and feel safer than a rest stop. Always clean and great staff providing a great experience.

New place, about a year old now. Still looks good. I have yet to run across a crabby employee. Clean fuel decks. Nice place.

Nice and clean Store and restaurant. The only reason I gave you a two is because the card reader for the laundrys not hooked up or working. Being loyal Flying J customers using the card to pay for such things as laundry is a nice perk especially with everything else is marked up so expensive on us truck drivers at your stores.

Great stopping location. Pro tip 1: if you need to use a credit card, there is no up charge for the gas, it is the same price as cash. Pro Tip 2: member card can get you some discounts and deals. A refill cup can get you any drink at a set price, soda, coffee or any drink.

I was here all weekend. Really a dump. They don’t clean up after the homeless people. The same sink was backed up. Only one out of three washer worked. At least one dryer was down. Fax machine was broken. Trash never emptied in the trash cans. Really nasty place.

Flying J and pilot centers are my favorite to stop at but the restrooms in this one were dirty and smelled bad. I am certain they may have been short staffed at that shift time, because their reputation is excellent, in my opinion. These centers are my favorite stop while on the road to see family. I do feel safe and appreciate the low gas prices, as well as an open space to stretch my legs.

A nice place to stop off highway when traveling long distances. Center contains many snacks and quick sandwich items. Some basic electronic accessories for phones, etc. Clean restrooms and plenty of parking.
