Sandra was so incredibly helpful in helping me choose my new pair of glasses. She was patient, knowledgeable, and was just as excited for me as I was so excited getting a new pair of glasses 😊

This is my 2nd year as a customer for thus store. Felt comfortable and confident with Jorge and Brian who were excellent, extremely helpful and very professional by answering all my questions. Dr was and right on point. Fell very Grateful and I recommend this store.

Have been a customer since 2015, had a really great ophthalmologist and great overall service at the time. It seems that after she left the store just went down. They dont have replacement parts which coerces one to buy a whole new pair of glasses. And when ordering new or replacement glasses they lack communication and offer no resolution when their supplier does not deliver as promised. They cant even provide a case for your glasses or sunglass clip. Its one thing already inconveniencing yourself to traverse through the mall set up, but to pay higher prices for their lack of customer service and lack of convenience is ludicrous.They offers some good products, but will not be patronizing anymore.

I am so grateful with the manager of this store. I came very upset and said things to her that I shouldn’t have out of my frustration after having issues with my insurance not taking responsibility for braking and not replacing my frame and telling me it was all the store’s fault. Even though I could see how upset she was due to my frustration and my words she managed the situation at her best and was able to help me with my insurance up to the point I felt satisfied with their options, something she didn’t have to do but did anyway. I recommend this optical, the doctor is great and the staff is very helpful. They all managed the situation at their best!

Went to buy glasses,store was completely empty, he said i needed the exam first and he is booked for the next two days. Again,store completely empty and dead. Was not too nice with his answers.cant believe the store at the mall would be fully booked for two days with eye exams.just not buying it! So i went to another store and bought my prada glasses that i came for. Well done!

Wowww. Im totally amazed with this store. I scheduled an eye exam for lenses and glasses, as soon as I walked in Sandra greeted me, very courteous. She explained me all my new insurance benefits and she advised in everything, she was patience since it is my first time wearing lenses. After that I met with a young and smazing Dr. Who was AWESOME!, explaining everything cons and pros in lenses and glasses. She make me feel that Im safe.. and of course Sandra too. Awesome discounts and AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE. They took each second that I was at the store ensuring that Im ok and well understand everything that Im getting. 150 thumps up for you guys!!

Went in last night and tried on many pairs of glasses. The girl assisting was nice and helpful at first, but once we started talking price, she was short and matter-of-fact. I have insurance benefits and know what they are...they’re literally on my phone. She told me that I was incorrect in what I was saying and told me the pair I was interested in would still be $600.I asked for more details on transitions...she couldn’t come up with any. I read other reviews that they use “fake” or “knock-off” transition lenses - I believe that. There are many different types, and you’re supposed to be fitted to the ones that are best for you.Wouldn’t recommend.It is very obvious that they are looking to get the most dollars out of their customers that they can.

Great quality eye exams, and the best selection of current style frames. My previous glasses are horrible compared to these, I love them! Efrona helped me pick the perfect pair and I always get compliments. They accepted my HSA and the doctor was on time and thorough. He also fit me with contacts, I didn’t know I could see so well!

Been going here exclusively for over the past three years if not longer. Eye exams contacts glasses etc. chose to come here already knowing prices are more expensive than most places especially being in Aventura mall but customer service being a priority that I have felt over the years. When I came with a pair of glasses that I purchased at this particular location almost three years ago today the temple was broken and wanted replacement parts for a $300 pair of glasses. The same pair of glasses that I purchased are sitting on the display unit mind. They inform me that I am unable to purchase replacement parts for the glasses but in some way of for the inconvenience would give me 20% of the frames at first. Visibly upset by this the floor salesmen went to the back to inform the owner of the situation. Floor salesmen came back to now offer 40% off for a total of $165 for the glasses because they would refuse to give replacement parts for a product they sell. Glasses break how would you not offer replacement parts. What bothered me most is the lack of customer service and poor business practice by optical world. It’s no wonder why their reviews are where there at. With this poor business practice I refuse to ever go back there again and would never in good conscience recommend this place to anyone. Price wasn’t a issue it’s the poor business and taken advantage of customer is what received instead. Not quite same but if I were to buy a car and got damaged on the door and the dealership told me I needed to buy a whole new car because they couldn’t replace the door. Not to this extreme but is more or less how I felt. Forget being overcharged for glasses and contacts and exams over the years hey it’s in Aventura mall what do you expect. But to not have the customer service and be overcharged as well just didn’t make sense. Needless to say I found the same pair of glasses online shipped to my house for $100.Do your research and avoid this place at all costs.

My mother came in after a very bad day with her husband’s seemingly hopelessly broken glasses. Odette was absolutely wonderful and sweet and McGivered a fix for them for 20 minutes and only charged $5.

I Just want to tell you this wonderful place Is Honest, Cordial and Respectful Atention I have Insurance and Mr. Jorge Rodriguez give me the honest price and Definitely my family and I come back and I highly recomend this place to anyone.

Beware customers, this place is very sneaky. On the surface, they seem professional and client service oriented. Plus, they are indeed very knowledgeable. However, they utilize their know how and understanding of the inner workings of the industry to exploit their customers. Moreover, their primary motive is greed and their not fazed by ripping off the insurance companies they do business with. They sold me defective Transitional eyeglass lenses. I use the term Transitional loosely here because these lenses were not true Transitional. Instead, they were tinted with some kind of cheap dye which wears off in a matter of months. Yet with real, actual Transitional glass lenses, the chemicals responsible for the photochromatic properties are actually impregnated throughout the lense substrate via a high heat process called imbibing. In other words, the photochromatic molecules never wear off as they are incorporated into the glass lenses themselves. I suspect this unscrupulous company is well aware of the issue because when I confronted the manager she accused me of swapping out their original lenses with a competitors. So I left the store to file a complaint. The complaint form was asking for the name of the clerk who sold me the eyeglasses. I couldnt remember so when I returned to obtain her name, she became quite defensive. Another red flag for this business establishment. So apparently this company is charging insurance companies as well as clients full price for Transitional lenses. When in fact, their actually only basic lenses tinted with a wearable dye on the surface. SCAMMERS!

My wife, son, and I needed to set up appointments for an eye exam. I was told their store policy is maximum 2 people per family, per day, maximum. Even though I explained that my son is disabled and that two separate visits spread across two weeks would create a hardship. I politely asked if there could be an accommodation due to my sons disability, and his response was, Well, sometimes entire families would make an appointment and not show up. I found this to be rather insulting, given the reason I was asking for an accommodation. No accommodation for disabilities?

I dont usually write reviews, but I was so happy with my service! Dr. Edelsberg was very patient with me, and they had a great selection of eyewear to chose from.

Its a shame that such a great and kind doctor have such a repulsive employee, low and cheap customer service, the lady Helonia or something like that its her name, makes you fell like you want to run away from the place and never come back, you get in to place willing to pay over 400 dollars in a frame and what you get is this lady treating you like you are begging for something free. Employees like her are the main reason of red number in a business. waiting for you guys to get rid of her to buy the frames I like.

Its a shame that Drs. Kay and Leo Edelsberg have a rude and obnoxious office manager (Helonia - sp?) representing their business. Their location is perfect and the quality of their exams are great, but shes abrupt, abrasive, and downright nasty to customers. I had an eye exam in Nov 2015 and called back a few weeks later to ask about exchanging a box of contacts I purchased because I felt they were from a damaged batch. This woman was hell on wheels and it turned into a nightmare getting a new box. Fast forward to this year when I called to make an appointment. She answered and said I could no longer be serviced there as I was difficult. Why? Because I expected a quality box of merchandise that cost me nearly $100?! Its sad because I recall that even her co-workers didnt like her when I complained and agreed with me regarding her demeanor. The good Drs. of this establishment need to fire her and quick. I can only imagine how many customers theyve lost or put-off because of this woman.
