No security, our unit was broken into, along with several others. We lost everything, but the best part is they didn’t call until almost a day later, the attendant said she had other things to do. They do not inform the police that’s up to you, they may or may not retain the video, you know storage space, they will not say sorry that happened, in fact got quite rude when we tried to get basic facts. So now that I look at it it doesn’t have any outside gate which might have prevented this. Your stuff is definitely not safe here and the best part they won’t help if you do get robbed. Don’t do it!

Were really happy with the service weve had here! One of the staff members, Josh really went above and beyond to accommodate us. The units feel very safe and I like the office hours on the property!

Josh has been super helpful and accommodating. The facilities have a newer feel and are kept clean. They’ve accepted packages for my business and so far everything has worked out perfectly. I definitely recommend if you need a centrally located storage facility with reliable/competent management.

He does a great job keeping the whole storage facility clean and as always a friendly smiling face to see. I use this unit for my handyman business, so I am visiting the facility several times a week.The facility is very accessible and I appreciate the service.In actuality, I had visited several different storage places and the reason why I decided to rent a storage unit here was because Josh was so helpful and friendly upon my initial visit. Life Storage at Mary St and S. Lamar has been the repository for my things and my familys memorabilia since Gus opened the location several years ago. Every interaction with Gus and Josh has been courteous, helpful, and professional. I served as the curator of family things until this year when I began passing memoeabilia on to the next generation! As my needs changed for a different storage unit size, I received focused and courteous service from Josh. The building is safe, secure, well-lit, clean, and convenient. I am a happy customer and will choose this Life Storage location in the future if I again oneed storage space. Thank you, Gus and Josh, for taking excellent care of me and my stuff all these years!

Best storage facility I have ever used. It was a quick and easy move in process with a courtesy van for added help. Kirk and Gus are both so helpful & flexible with anything you may need. Kirk recently went above and beyond to help me when I was in a time crunch to move some things and forgot my keys. I have peace of mind leaving my things stored there.

Josh is friendly. The hours are great as they are expandable to 24 hours (storage access, not front desk access). The unit was clean and they even have a welcome bag waiting for you in your unit if you reserved one.

Absolutely awesome! We had a little overlap with trying to get a bed moved and they not only magically found someone to help us out but were understanding with our move. BEST STORAGE PLACE EVER! Also, we always felt safe and had access to the building - it was the perfect location by our apartment while we were transitioning places in Austin. They made it super easy and were always helpful! :)

Great state of the art facility; almost brand new. Staff was very helpful and storage spaces themselves are clean and have plenty of vertical space (square footage obviously dependent on unit(s) you get). Rates are pretty low, especially compared to apartment storage facilities (at least in my case). Only con would be that theres only one elevator in each of the two buildings, so during times of heavy use, it can be a wait. Would recommend to anyone — from college students to homeowners — in need of extra space!

So far, Ive had a great experience. The facilities are clean, nice and new. Very convenient for me--probably would be cheaper farther out but this is very convenient! Everything went smoothly. Loved working with Gus Galvan, the store manager, as he was efficient, pleasant and on-the-ball.Really happy with the unit. And they give you three keys with your lock!I am opting for climate controlled so that none of my stuff will be ruined!

Everyone working there always has a good vibe about them. Ive never been made to feel like a bother, even when I probably was a few times. Theyve even worked with me when Ive had to be extremely late on my payment.Ive had a few storage spaces in my day and this is by far the best place Ive ever rented from. 👍👍

I recently moved to Austin from Arizona. I wasn’t able to see the facility or the unit before moving. I had to do everything over the phone. The staff at LifeStorage were incredibly helpful with my transition from AZ. The property is very clean, easy to get to, feels very safe, and very accessible. And the customer service from the office team has been top notch.

Were making a big move from New Jersey and I had over 25 cases of wine that were being shipped in a temperature controlled truck. We are not planning on actually moving in until October so I had to find just the right storage for that period. I looked around, made a ton of calls and everyone I spoke with kept telling me that this particular Life Storage, owned/operated by Kirk and Gus, was the place to go and they sure were right. The place is spotless and every piece of equipment and the office is in perfect condition. It is obvious that they take a great deal of pride in their facility-no doubt about that one. I called in advance and Gus was great. He actually recommended that instead of renting a larger, more expensive, unit that I rent a number of smaller ones so that when I did arrive and I used up the wine my use and costs would decrease. Shocking- they were actually looking out for the benefit of the customer (me!!!) - being from NJ Im not used to that. The truck was delayed several days in arriving and I was concerned about their holding the lockers but, when I called and spoke with Kirk his only response was no problem- weve got them put aside for you. I flew out to meet the moving truck and wine and when we took the boxes over there were little tags attached to the units with my name on them marked Reserved. The refrigerated area maintains a perfect temperature. I am so pleased that I have decided against purchasing a much larger separate unit for our home and just using Life Storage as our main wine storage. That is a big deal for me but dealing with Gus and Kirk makes it worth it. In addition because we have limited storage in our new home we also plan on using their larger, non-temperature controlled areas, as well. Cannot emphasize enough the A+ service we received from start to finish.Mitchell Wolff

Excellent customer service from Gus! Very friendly and helpful. I feel extremely comfortable leaving my household items here, security is great and facility is clean.

The storage unit gets a 5, but this is about the front desk attendant with the short blond hair. She was incredibly rude when I had asked for assistance with a unit that wasn’t opening. She then proceeded to slam the front door and lock it, upset that she had to leave the station to help me. She then started telling me in an annoyed voice that she can’t wait to leave this job in 2 weeks. Once she tried and also couldn’t open the door, she began yelling at me (not sure why?) that she can’t help me and that’s not her job, and that I need to call whoever else is in charge of the keys. I kept asking her to please lower her voice and to not direct her anger towards me, as I hadn’t done anything but ask questions to try and figure out the solution. I feel that if you have an employee that’s is this volatile towards customers, making them stay for the 2 week period before leaving the position isn’t worth the bad customer service. Hopefully the new employee that transitions into her role will be more pleasant to work with.

Whenever Im in Austin, Texas and need to store things; this is where its going. Great and honest service. Reminds me of the old ways of doing business. DEPENDABLE...

I needed a new storage ppace and I knew s Lamar we as the area for me..I had to fight w Google map to send me a more exact area vs Stassney or Congress..but besides the area the Manager Gust and the Desk attended is everything I needed in someone as I was finding a comfortable place to hold my companys New Age Moralitys Art and I feel very safe and Welcome thanks to Excellent Costumer friendly service courteous of my exzac need of assistance in a very sudden matter of time 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
