This HEB is absolutely wonderful! I love that they have True Texas BBQ right there because it smells so good when you walk into HEB! The food tastes good as well. I have been lately gravitating towards this amazing sauced chopped brisket loaded potato! All the flavors of this potato just melt in your mouth! The pic below is only half of what you actually get!

SE Austin desperately needed a much larger store than the closest one at William Cannon.Currently, there is construction in the parking lot because theyre adding gas pumps. Still has a pretty good selection of stuff ,except cookies, but the parking is almost a squid game in itself. Will you survive getting in and out of the parking lot?

This store has freaking everything! It can get a little crazy busy, but is absolutely worth going to. Plus it is so clean, organized, and nice. I appreciate the effort they put into managing this store. Also, the store-made Everything Bagels with HEB Original Whipped Cream Cheese...dangerously good 🤤

For a Monday morning 7:30am, slow at that (pictures provided, we all know what it looks like when it’s packed here), they only have four kids working CURBSIDE and it still took 45 whole minutes to receive 3 orders. Do they prepare them at 7am? ALL 3 orders were “Text When Here” at the SAME TIME. This is the SLOWEST curbside in south Austin compared to the 2110 Manchaca (227 location), 5800 Slaughter (068 location), Buda’s H‑E‑B, and even William Cannon (229 location) EVEN THOUGH they have the largest Curbside of them all…

Im getting rather disappointed in Heb. My wife consistently needs to use my cell phone since they dont support older versions of apple phones, which she has one of. Her choice. And that brings up another point. If you dont have a Smart cell phone or a newer Apple phone you arent going to get the best deals like everyone else does. Maybe I shouldnt complain. They treat me better than they treat my wife.

Went in to go grocery shopping with my boyfriend. We probably shopped around for about an hour getting our items. One of those items being a single can of Truly Strawberry Lemonade. As we go to check out the young woman cashier asked for my Drivers license for identification. I gave it to her and shortly after she called over another woman whom I would assume to be a cash lead. They both looked over my I.D and the second woman told me they could not sell me the alcohol. As I asked her why and if there was something wrong she respond with “ no there is nothing wrong but I just can’t sell you the drink”. Which clearly there is something wrong if you can’t sell me the drink after looking at my I.D which was not fake. My I.D is the newly issued Texas Drivers license with the gold star. It’s the same I.D I used to fly to Hawaii which I was able to get through TSA but I can’t buy a single can of Truly at Heb. Granted I do look young but they did not ask questions or tell me what was wrong. In most cases if there is a problem there is a solution but they were not helpful at all and were avoiding answering my questions. This could have been better handle. Now I’m leaving the store wondering if I was discriminated against, not taken serious because I look young, etc… I understand people have fake I.D’s and as an employee you have to be aware of that. My issue is an employee is telling me that I can not make a purchase but not willing to tell me why. We also in the end we’re not able to get any of our groceries since they do not take Apple Pay. Which that part is on us but adds frustration into the situation after what just happened with the drink. This is my second time shopping here and sadly will be my last.

I was so happy when this store opened near my house but It’s been nothing but issues from the beginning. They’re constantly out of stock with common items so I’ll have to make a second trip somewhere else. The deal breaker though is the rude customer service. This will be the 3rd time I’ve walked out of the store angry and it’s the second time for the exact same reason. It always seems to be this night shift too but unfortunately that’s the time I have to go shopping since I’m able to leave the baby at home. Moving forward I’ll just have to drive out of my way and go somewhere else.

I dont know who is running security at this location but they have GOT to learn that WHEN I GO THROUGH SELF CHECKOUT DO NOT LOCK UP MY CART ON MY WAY OUT OF THE STORE!As I left today with my pregnant wife, the cart locked up at the door and she slammed her shin into the cart. This is AFTER we paid through self checkout. Welcome to the grocery of the future: this new HEB has all you could wish for. The freshest produce from local farmers, great variety on the aisles and a dedicated area for wine and beer. Also you can find a pretty rad BBQ joint inside. Additionally, they have a drivethrough pharmacy, ideal for these unique times in social distancing. Staff is friendly and prepared to help navigate their massive aisles. Literally, no store does more than HEB.

After repeated requests this HEB refuses to provide personal baskets for shoppers looking to purchase fewer than 5-10 items. This HEB will force you to push a cart around for a couple items then force you to jam that cart into the small self checkout lanes. To add misery to your time they close one of the self checkout areas in the evening and this creates an extraordinary traffic jam that extends into the frozen food aisles.Long lines, checkout areas closed during peak hours, unwillingness to provide baskets for solo/quick shoppers = below average HEB

Absolutely love this place. Its new, clean and even has an attached BBQ place. Staff is always kind and knowledgeable. Whats more to say?

Good store unfortunately we went during the snowstorm crisis and it was the only one open so it was packed! Thousands of people lines for days! But we were able to get some food thanks for opening HEB

Be careful at the meat counter. This is the second trip in a row in which the Prime and Wagyu price was higher on the sticker than on the tag in the case. They correct it if you mention it, but that should not be customer driven.

Got all i needed and as I was getting ready to unload the groceries to be checked out...forgot my wallet in the car. Asked them to ring it up and would be back in one minute (The rain helped that somewhat) and they were more than kind enough to have everything rung up so that all I neded to do was pay. Thank you for your great customer service to allow me to have it ready to go rather than having it sit off to the side. And that is why you are my grocery store of choice!!!

Best HEB in Austin right now. Tons of parking! The store has lots of checkout lanes and even self checkout so there is little to no waiting when checking out. The parking lot is awesomely lit which makes it easier to go shopping at night.

This place is Smooth from The parking lot to the last aisle in store. I mean smooth like a good shave. From the pastries to the pasta it is A-ONE. The employees are just another reason I drive the extra five miles to shop. Keep up the good work.

A typical HEB with a good selection of fruits and prepared meals available at most HEB. What distinguishes one HEB from another? Based on demographics, different locations have different varieties and type of food. HEB located in a lower socioeconomic area may have a limited selection of prepared meals. All in all, its just a grocery store.

HEB is a great grocery store and this location is massive and well stocked. Only complaint is that checkout lines could be better staffed.

I just want to say H E B bakery is doing a great job especially with the flour tortillas haven’t tried corn or any of their other favorite flavor of tortillas but regular flour tortillas are great they’re around or not thick or folded they each have one of those plastic separators between each tortilla so they’re not stuck I am super satisfied with these tortillas at this location I love the store the store is great it’s got everything especially seasonal stuff for the seasons/holidays. As you can see in the photos I’ve provided a plate only $2.47 I used as decor and a couple of their pumpkins that they have available in their store, (and way more other stuff ) in my home for fall. Overall I love HEB. However I go out of my to never shop HEB in Austin. A few years ago the city council illegally baned grocery bags. Did HEB lower their prices to reflect increased profit? No. Now I believe HEB is the only store in Austin that refuses to offer bags. Thats ok. Your competition provides bags.

Staff was helpful, hate how crowded this location always is! I would recommend going here if your not in a hurry and extremely large crowds dont bother you. Remember your bags they dont have them here, but you can buy bags.

This is definitely the best HEB compared to others within a 10 mile radius. This one is stocked up with an assortment of supplies. You should find everything you typically buy from other HEBs.

Were visiting from out of town, but lived in Austin 20 years ago. I always liked HEB and Central Market, so I cant wait to visit this store... but, whats up with the space age The Jetsons look?!

Love this place this is one of the very best HEBs in the entire Austin area Grand selection and just cool looking be blessed.

This store is just too big. Its basically just a normal HEB, but supersized to insanity. For the times I cant avoid going to HEB, Ill stick with the one on Slaughter and Manchaca, which is set up a bit more logically and not such a task to shop at.Pros:- Its clean (since its new)- The selection appears massive, at least for meals to go, ice cream, and beer. Ive never seen so much ice cream in one place.- If you need a specialty cake you can probably find it here. There were a lot of really adorable cakes and fancy tarts, like Central Market has.- Almost all of the cashier checkout lanes were open when I went, although the teenagers assigned to direct customers kept asking people to go to self checkout, rather than to the short lines with cashiers.Cons:- Its massive, inside and out. There isnt such thing as a quick trip here. Because its always packed, the walk from the back of the parking lot is super long.- No crosswalk at the pharmacy doors, plus the fact that traffic turning in regularly backs up down Congress, makes it not super safe to go in and out on that side of the store. Cars are paying more attention to the line of traffic behind them than to people trying to cross at the doors.- As huge as it is, its still nearly impossible to find an employee to help.- The layout is designed for sales, not customer convenience. For example, instead of being with the regular frozen foods like at every other HEB, chicken nuggets are in a separate freezer section in the meat department, which requires walking all the way to the back or front of the store, as the center aisle is blocked there, and so you are required to go through the bakery, cheese, meats, etc with all of the impulse buys (other routes still require walking all over the store).- Not specific to this store, but like all HEBs, no limits to the number of customers and no distancing or guidance within the store, other than the cashier checkout lanes (not the self checkout). It was very crowded when I was there, and there were many areas where it was impossible to distance from other shoppers. Even Walmart can manage distancing.- Also not technically the store, but the BBQ place is set up so you have to walk all the way in the enclosed line/counter area to see the menu, and judging by the advertised special of a $9 sandwich, its a bit proud of itself for being a grocery store BBQ stand.

The cashier running the self checkout on Sunday morning was very rude and unprofessional. I had asked her for meat bags because the products I was purchasing would leak before I got home. She said she would get me some but just stood there taking her time. This is an express checkout process. I had to walk to the other end to use the self checkout. Stephanie on the other end was courteous and without hesitation git me the bags. And sure enough when I got home the product had leaked.

Theres plenty of employees in the store to help you find what you need. They also have a pretty good wine selection. Its busy during the day but the nights arent so bad.

The store is always clean and the parking area is kept neat. The fruits and vegetables are always fresh and kept in order, staff is well trained and always very courteous. I like when the staff says goodbye to me, means a lot that they would go out of their way to acknowledge customers.

I never thought Id say this about a grocery store, but man, its beautiful. Wow. I was impressed by the wide variety of low-sugar ice creams which they dont have at my usual B. A weird thing to note, but its a BIG deal when youre diabetic! And the BBQ restaurant in there is fabulous. AND has a drive thru!!! Also has a decked out garden center, including soils and mulch fully in stock. Well-labeled signage is a HUGE plus, given how long the aisles are, and a plentiful supply of varying international food ingredients. A million stars.

I love this HEB. Every time I come it never fails I am always on here for a couple hours to grocery shop. This store has everything you need.

Nothing beats their flowers and alcohol sections. Its mostly crowded and never gets empty. The staff are always nice and helpful.

I got take out from the TRUE Texas BBQ restaurant attached to the HEB at South Park Meadows. the St. Louis Ribs and pulled pork are what I order every time. I use the vinegar sauce on the pulled pork and the pepper sauce on the ribs. In fact, I need to go back for more ribs right now, talk to you later 😃.

The isles are too long, tonight to cashier was rude! They need to be reminded that being nice goes a long way. The parking lot is a mess. Button line for being a new store yall really need to work on it more. Dont take your customers for granted.

Well its a decent HEB.. Its not a HEB plus..This one is more of a standard type grocery store. Everything a upscale grocery store would have, and a few extras. Dont have a big seafood section.

This HEB is one of the best for variety. Has more options than the PLUS in Kyle in my opinion. Managers are all very nice and helpful. Usually kept up, with stocking. Only thing that ever really gets me is that we use cold storage bags for our cold groceries, and some of the baggers completely disregard them lol. Its not life altering or anything, just a slight inconvenience to go behind them and put away the cold groceries. Sides that, its a fantastic HEB to shop at!

Great place, have everything we use and need. Great staff, hard workers. Cant wait for the gas station to be built. The shopping is easy at this location with multiple selections.

I must say that their selection in music is very dreadful it’s sort of depressing ever since I’ve been coming here I’ve been listening to it I’ve noticed that now that a year has passed they have never changed it. As with any HEB you can expect to have a great selection of items, only thing I dont like about this place is that they do not provide bags. I mean come on it a grocery store at least give out paper bag if you are trying to please travis county by not providing plastic bags. Only reason I did not give 5 stars was because of this.

What can I say!!! This was my first time trying the HEB BBQ at Slaughter and Congress. We had the brisket loaded baked potato 🥔 and loaded Mac and Cheese 🧀... It was delicious. The servings were large, we had to bring leftovers home. There was no wait, the place is spotless and they even have hand sanitizers on the table. About the only thing I can complain about were the straws, I think theyre paper, not sure but they dont work well. If youre in the area, definitely stop by.

I love this H.E.B Plus, sometimes parking and getting in and out of this place when its busy can be a real NIGHTMARE! Other than that this is my favorite grocery store in South Austin.

I am handicap and require the use of a handicap cart to shop and visited your store around 4pm on 9-13 and there were no carts for handicap people such as Mei ask for help from a associate and they told the store only has 4 working carts which is bad for a store of this size the associate found me a cart after waiting 20 minsand I started shopping and cart died in middle of store I ask 2 associates for help and they never came back to me in middle of store so after waiting 20 or so mins another shopper helped me to check out 10 lines was so aggravated at this time was tired and ready to go home so I still needed help to my car with my bags and I still had dead cart and ask cashier on 10 for help and she told bagger to get me another cart and the young man came back with another cart after waiting 10 mins in front of cigarite case so I left and I think the managers of this store should be fired for have a problem with them not having enough carts and not trying to help handicap I. Am very disappointed with heb

This store is great despite the long lines and slow response from CMEs to call for additional cashiers. Please open more lanes during peak hours. And if youre going to have express lanes dispense cigarettes, be sure they are fully stocked.

HEB has and will always be my grocery store. No other grocery chain can even compare to what HEB is or does. HEB always tries and cater to the area they build at, meaning they try and make their stores multicultural to that area. This store is huge and has a lot of variety of items you can think of. Its very clean and staff is always easy to find and will go above and beyond to help you locate items. Including taking you to the spot of the product. You cant get that at Wallys!! Well its H-E-B what can I say? Its amazing and so many options to choose from. The only problem I have is that I cant buy everything in the store all at once.

A no mask, in your face employee delivered our groceries curbside: My husband picked up the order. He told me that the young man that loaded the groceries wasnt wearing a mask and came too close to his open window when communicating. This made him very uncomfortable. The HEB employee ignored his discomfort and continued to get in his face. We understand that masks are no longer required, but some sensitivity would be appreciated. Not everyone is comfortable getting close to others, and it was unnecessary. There was simply no reason to get so close. Also that the employee completely ignored his customers discomfort and just continued with unnecessary close contact is a disappointment. I love HEB as a company and I understand that this is a hard transitional time to navigate, but could someone please alert this employee to our concerns and train him to be more aware and sensitive?

I like the big variety of products and the fresh produce and fish. Also the ready meals like the sushi 🍣 so good convenient and affordable.

H‑E‑B is my god and this is its temple.The thoughtful layout and large selection easily make this my go to H-E-B. Notice I say “H-E-B” and not grocery store because when you have the option, H-E-B is the only logical choice. Recently, the selection of healthy food choices rival that of Whole Foods and Sprouts and with competitive prices (which isn’t too impressive given the prices of any competition).I love this H-E-B because the layout is smart like Texans, the selection is large and diverse like Texas, and the aisles are big and wide like Texans.God Bless H-E-B

Before today, I would not have thought twice about rating HEB 5 stars.Today was not the best HEB experience. As my husband and I completed our morning shopping, we made our way to a checkout line. Like usual a worker (not sure if it was a manager) approached us and sent us to a 15 or less line that had no waiting. He assured us that it would be ok. After unloading our 25 items, I noticed the cashier was staring me down and wasn’t scanning our items. With or without a mask a stare down is pretty obvious. There were still no other customers in our line. I don’t know when she started working but as she got to about the 15th item, she rudely pointed out that I had more than 15. Those were the only words she spoke to me the entire time. It took all self control to not embarrass myself but I did tell her that we were asked to come through her line. At this point, I see my tiny tomatoes rolling around from the way she tossed them. Mind you my husband was the one sacking. Now someone else would have left the items and run off to another grocery store. That’s something I now wish I had done. I know that one missing customer won’t hurt HEB financially but I do not appreciate being stared down. I do not appreciate being talked down to. I do not like to be humiliated. Yes, I know that it says 15 items or less. I know that she had no way of knowing that another employee sent me to her lane but it’s common practice for HEB to try making the customer’s experience quick and pleasant. As much as I love HEB, this doesn’t make me want to return.

It was probably the biggest HEB I have been in. It was very organized, clean and the employees that helped me were friendly. The isles are clearly labeled so it was easy to find what I needed.

Cant wait for the store near me is built. My life in Texas is so incomplete without my heb. I have not found another grocery store that Im happy with.

Parking lot has some narrow lanes, no bags at checkout not even paper sacks, no H-E-B GO, but clean store, well stocked and the the BBQ restaurant was fast and clean.

I want to say I spoke with Robert from the seafood department, sorry if I said the wrong name 🥴I called to inquire about clams and how much he recommended to serve per person for a meal and he gave me a quantity. I told him I was ordering through the app and was curious how many came in a pound so I could order the correct amount. The gentlemen placed me on hold so he could weigh it and find out for me. The newest and largest HEB that I know of in Austin. The parking was incredibly packed, and the store was very busy. Obviously being the newest location with lots of services that arent available in other Austin HEB stores means that people are traveling farther just to come to this location. I expect that this will be an ongoing issue for this location for quite a while, but there are very few HEB stores that equal this one.

Service was good from staff. I had been told the BBQ was the bomb. I took the fatty pound. What a mistake!! It was 1.pound of fat. And the sausage skin was like electrical tape in trying to chew. I learned my lesson. Not again. Save your money go to Bill Miller!!

This H‑E‑B RULES!This particular store has wonderful staff, the food is always fresh and delicious looking, and I always find what I’m looking for. When it’s busy they work hard to make sure everyone gets through the lanes quickly. The isles are always neat and organized and stocked. Since this new store was built during covid it’s extremely spacious and thoughtfully designed! Even when it’s straight poppin on a Sunday there’s morrre than enough room for everyone to walk the lanes and get what they need. The parking lot looks intimidating from a far, like if you pull in there won’t be any good spots to park and it’s gonna be a circus inside. Not the case! I can always find a great spot to park. There’s always plenty of full size and half sized carts available. Everyone is courteous and helpful. It’s so big and bountiful that everyone can have a great experience getting their goods without feeling crowded or like it’s a mad dash to grab the last danish! This is my favorite H‑E‑B out of all of them! H‑E‑B is known for all their good deeds and I enjoy shopping here! Thanks H‑E‑B!

HEB in general is an awesome grocery store and this location never fails to deliver. They have everything you could want and very friendly people.

Its quite the clean and comprehensive store, just can get quite busy if you are not doing the self checkout. Prices are surprisingly comparable to Sams Club if you are buying for 1 or 2 people!

I’ve been going to this H‑E‑B since it opened last year. Friendly employees and always good service. But the music station at this H‑E‑B has to be the worst. The other H‑E‑B’s I go to always have much better music.

This HEB is brand new and in a great location right off I-35 and Slaughter. It has a great selection of items plus theres a BBQ place inside. (Cant speak for the quality of the bbq though.)

Amazing! Clean wide aisles. Fresh produce was clean and looked better than any I have seen. Huge pharmacy area and lots of surprises down every aisle. LOVE LOVE LOVE their curbside area just back in pop your trunk and go from your individual pick up bay.

Produce needs to stock better. Plus there were quite a few produce products that were rotten and splattered on each other. I noticed this particularly on the organic foods. Plus, a lot of organic produce was either sold out didnt exist here. Please stock more organic and have more organic options.
