These stores have it hard with HEB and Randalls among other larger grocery chains. But, we still like to shop here, they have a great variety of meats and some that are not carried at the larger stores. Its usually easy access and cashiers are very knowledgeable on the items youre buying. Im glad La Michoacana Meat Market is a part of our community.

I love their barbacoa they got this barbacoa a pound for 12.99 and I just love it I hate it all by myself

The steak fajita is the best I’ve had in Austin. I highly recommend them! Also, I’m blown away at some of the negative reviews. This place is fantastic. Their homemade salsa is top level as well.

The food was just ok, super affordable though. The thing is to get food from the back, you have to order at the register up front. Which is common in this area but i suppose it was made more difficult than it had to be by the young lady that was cashier (and Im bilingual).

Bought chicarones con carne which I had been craving for a while.It wasnt bad but could have been less oily it was pretty chewy, hard to bite off.Ordered 1/2 lb of carnitas and barbacoa from the restaurant with limes onions and green Salsa for $11 It fed my hubby and I, so pretty good price Id say.If Im in the area I may go back but wouldnt go out of my way to do so.

Well let me start just by saying I have been to michoacanas before in south Texas and different citys. We decided to go because we know these meat markets are awesome when we entered it look disorganized in all type of ways in the meat market there was a lot of confusion. They were cross contaminating my meat after they were finally getting my order right I ask for some tripas that were already cooked ready to eat as I observe a Cuban guy come from attending the meat section take his glove off one hand didnt wash his hands comes and serves me a pound of tripas goes back and weighs them on the same scale where they weigh fresh meat and to top it off some fall to the side he looks around and puts them in my bag!!!! Its the worst michoacana that I have been to very dirty. I should have took pics.

This place is awesome! The caldo is huge, and only $5.99! The gordita was also excellent. The service was fantastic, everyone is really friendly. Make sure to wash it all down with an aqua fresca.

They are selling meat that has expired!! They really do not care about their customers. Walked in there and bad additude . Tried to go get a refund for this expired meat and nope. Tried calling them and they left me on hold. Dont go here and buy meat just dont do it unless u hate your family

This place of veria de closes they always open late the cashier they have always arrives at 7.10 when supposedly they open wings 6 the specials never have them so they offer specials without they have them they handle this business very badly

I do not recommend this place for breakfast. Their breakfast was a disappointment. I paid for breakfast tacos and the only options they had were migas, potatoes in broth, beans, and squash. They didnt have the most basic options like egg and bacon, sausage, or golden potatoes. Other than that the potatoes were not well cooked.I dont recommend this place for breakfast.
