A non-profit comic shop that exists to encourage comic love and literacy? Yes, please! This place is spectacular. The owners dont even draw paychecks, they do this out of the goodness of their hearts. So yeah, go here and spend money. Such an amazing place run by spectacular people! Ill be back!

My husband and I took our son here this weekend for his 6th birthday (he was dressed like Captain America) because he said he wanted to go to a comic book store and hed never been.We had such a blast here digging through old and new comics and our son loved seeing all the action figures on the wall, plus Batman on the TV. We ended up purchasing three books that we knew he would like and after we paid, the cashier was so sweet and gave our son six MORE comic books just because it was his birthday. My son was blown away looking at all the books in the car. The staff here really care about literacy and getting kids interested in reading at a young age, which really speaks to me too. We will definitely be back to this little gem.

This place is a goldmine!! Staff is spectacular and very knowledgeable about all things comics!!! A great selection of back issues and trade paperbacks!! They also offer new and current comics with variants available!!! They also provide a literacy service to the local elementary schools with a comic club!! This is a Nonprofit organizations!!! A 5 star for sure!!

Hands down one of, if not the best, comic shop in Austin. Really friendly staff, great selection of national and local runs. Id highly recommend Bat City Comics.

This is really great shop. Its not the biggest place and its easy to miss, but they have a great selection and really good prices.Theyre a non-profit with proceeds going to help literacy. They are definitely worth stopping by and supporting.Ill be going here regularly for sure.

This is legit the best comic store in Austin, Texas. They are so friendly and will help you find anything you are interested in. Even if you’ve never been in a comic shop before, they will take the time to found out what you like, and help you find a comic that fits your interests.

Hands down my FAVORITE comic book shop in Austin! Nicest people around running the shop! The shop is a non-profit so theyre not gouging you on price and actually work with you on understanding your wants/needs. If youre looking for rarities, this is your shop!!! The shop is on the smaller scale but growing each day, every time I come back theyve got something new and exciting!They are currently operating by appointment only, which in turn gives you your own private comic book shopping experience with experts in the field!
