This was on of my first coffee shops to try out in Austin and I did not regret it. It tasted amazing and set a high standard for the other coffee shops.

One of the best grilled cheese sandwiches Ive ever had, absolutely delicious. The coffee is pretty good too. I ordered an oat milk latte and it was really good.

Cute spot. Would be good to study or wfh. The parking isn’t great, small and then just street parking on the side I guess. They offer a few different milk alternatives and the coffee was good. Their hibiscus tea looked delicious.

5/5. Quick service and great coffee. We had tacos too and they were good - nothing too special but falvorful. Coffee was great. Had the cold brew and the yuzu basil latte (spring special). If you are looking for a local spot and not the commercialized Starbucks types then check this out. They have a great outdoor patio as well.

The Bean Team at Thunderbird have become some of my closest friends as I religiously visited every day since moving to Austin from frosty Buffalo NY four years ago. They have never been anything other than warm, generous and absolutely kind even when I had some of my hardest days. What originally kept me coming back was how friendly the baristas were and how fantastic the espresso was - they have two selections, which is heaps of fun and the pulls are always that perfect triptych of crema / heart / body . Whenever I introduce someone to this place, they always find the cafe and staff endearing - and then its always rewarding to see how cutely excited everyone ends up getting over the quality of the drink they order :) . Routinely, Thunderbird has made itself a second home for myself and each friend I bring here. Im really thankful for discovering this place - and to give an example, theres a current game going where as a regular they have been drawing on my espresso cups ... I have to choose a number each time I order and they give me a different drawing. Seriously they are my absolute favorite people. Definitely recommend

Had my first coffee from this place which was pretty good. The only complaint I had was the grilled cheese sandwich. The picture shows a completely different sandwich from what I received. Don’t know who made that mistake but yeah definitely was not what I expected and wanted. A little disappointed but hopefully this will be corrected.

This place has the best chipotle chicken sandwich. Sometimes I come here just for that. It also has great coffee and plays good music. A perfect place for working or grabbing coffee with someone. The only drawback is parking can be difficult sometimes.

The blueberry lavender latte is great, very lavender-y They got a nice creaminess out of the almond milk. The honey nut latte is sweet and nutty. Great spot to study.

I tell you what, I truly appreciate their customer service. As I was leaving with our giant order, all the baristas said Bye, or Bye Ruben, or See you soon. That blew me away. Usually, most shops greet you and a few say goodbye but when the entire staff sends you off like that, I mean, cmon, how could you not go back?Their drinks, made with Wild Gift Coffee, were exceptional. My cortado was outstanding, and was floored with their hazelnut coffee-not too sweet, just with a hint of the hazelnut to indulge in that sweetness and nuttiness without losing the coffee flavor. Perfection.Seriously, Ill have to start making the trek Monday mornings there just so i can catch their good stoke and start my week off right.

One of my go to spots for a Cortado or a Chai Latte. Staff is super friendly and the place has a great Austin vibe. Parking is challenging so be prepared to find a spot in the neighborhood.

One of my favorite coffee shops in Austin. Price is fairly average and their drinks are delicious. Their laid-back style is what keeps me coming back.

I’m willing to walk twenty minutes for the reward of being here with a cup of anything and a bite of one of the other things. Then stay to work on a project. This place makes my writing life wonderful. It’s clustered with some of the best food place in East Central Austin, and right across from East Side Cafe and it’s walkable garden. Walkable and surrounded by places to walk to eat after a coffee fueled productive morning in the middle of just where your friends come by. Never had so many chance meetings in my life.

The coffee and staff is awesome. Its the only place you can get a honey-nut latte. Parking is terrible, so carpool or get there another way. Currently, Facemasks are required in the building, and seating is patio-only.

I loved loved LOVED the Honey Nut Latte. It actually taste like the name suggests. So delish. Then I had the Tomato Basil. It was very savory but I would have liked to see a thicker sandwich. Not very filling. I think I should have gone with the basic grilled cheese but overall it was a mouthwatering experience. Would come again and refer friends!

Quite possibly the best coffee Ive had in recent memory. Service was fast despite the place being PACKED, it wasnt super noisy, wifi worked great, and everyone was friendly. Definitely will recommend to anyone who comes to Austin.

I expected the coffee to be good, but didnt expect the breakfast sandwich to be as well. I ordered a sweet latte and it was perfect. Then ordered an egg, ham, and cheese sandwich with spicy mayo. That spicy mayo did the trick. So good!In addition, theres plenty of seating indoor and outdoor and free wifi. Its a great spot to grab breakfast, brunch, or a spot to get some work done!

Nice venue with free wifi. I noticed a lot of people working/ studying over there.I had a chocolate croissant and a hot chocolate. The croissant was good but I didnt like the drink that much. They put cinnamon in it and thats not my favorite thing. Next to that I found the price too high, I paid $7,06.

The staff, food, drinks, location are awesome. However, the bathrooms are super gross and in need of a deep clean and renovation. I’ve seen old gas stations with better bathrooms :(

I love coming to Thunderbird to study/work! The building has lots of windows and good lighting. The tables are long and spacious, the music they play is good, and they have great coffee and food. I come here about 2-3 times a weeks and I love it!

This guys are peoffesionals when it comes to coffee seriously you gotta try it without hesitating. Bring you dog, your husband or your homework, just keep them clean

Thunderbird Coffee has a nice selection of coffee drinks and food and some very nice people behind the counters. The atmosphere is pretty great for coming in, grabbing a coffee and a bite, and working on your laptop. Theres plenty of seating (inside and out) though it will get a little too crowded around their peak hours.

I didnt stay here and order anything, so Im not giving a well-rounded review. I meant to meet up with a friend for a cup of coffee, but the place was so packed with students that I had to leave. I did manage to get a tiny table with one chair, but all the tables are so close to each other, and the place is so brightly lit, that I just didnt like the atmosphere. Not conducive to cozy chats. It was a Monday night, beginning of December. Maybe everyones preparing for college exams? I had this place on my list of coffee shops to try out for working and studying, but now that Ive seen it in person, I wont be coming back, at least not for that. Maybe to try the food.

Spency and very limited parking, but good enough place to be mostly tolerant of these issues. Its like, hey lets meet at Thunderbird!. Great idea! Followed by an, Oh. Yeah. This is why I prefer Jiffy Lube.

Stopped in on a hot day for an iced coffee. Really cool little stop with delicious lattes. Looks like a lot of people come here to work while they grab a bite to eat. Theres outside seating as well.

Beautiful shop with great light. Nice place to go alone if you just want to work, but also a good place to take a friend. It has a pleasant but also calm feeling to it. All of the workers always make the most lovely foam art in the espresso drinks, like I feel like its a requirement to have a beautiful soul and awesome clothing to work there. Get the honeynut latte! Its worth it!

Prepare to park somewhere else because the parking lot is the size of a car trunk. Drinks are good and service is above par. Wifi is reliable. Restrooms are below par. For categorizing itself as a coffeehouse, it does attract a reasonably loud and boisterous crowd, though. And, no employee would ask her to use her inside voice. Either that or the acoustics of Thunderbird Coffee put Boston Symphony Hall to shame. But, I did notice that headphones were used more more people than what I would consider the norm. I will be back to update my review but will definitely be bringing my noise cancelling headphones.

Ive been going here since they opened their Manor Rd. location and what I love about it is the staff is always friendly and funny. Makes waking up and walking down to your neighborhood coffee spot that more enjoyable. Plus they serve taco deli tacos, but give their breakfast sandwich a try!

Just went here for the first time and I was so happy with the service. Staff was very friendly, food was great (I got the smoked salmon sandwich), and coffee was great too.

This is a great study spot for those who are in search of one. The atmosphere is super cute. It beats the other super crowded coffee shop. I usually get a chai tea here and I love how they make it. They do not hold back on the spices.

Thunderbird Coffee has a great atmosphere to go and get some work done. Quiet, peaceful, good coffee and a friendly staff make for an all around great experience. Good beer prices all day and a fantastic patio to enjoy a cold beverage on a hot Texas day. Can be quite busy at times and people tend to camp out, but that doesnt take away from the quality of the coffee shop. Keep an eye out for the cute redhead staffing the bar!

I appreciate that Thunderbird Coffee always has a quality selection of coffee beans and they do a superb job crafting coffee drinks.Another nice addition is grabbing a beer during the late afternoon while knocking out emails.At times it can be tough to find seating, but when the weather is nice you can always grab a table outside.
