A great coffee shop here in downtown Austin. The prices and internet is great and the coffee is good to boot. I tried their pizza and one of their handmade peanut butter cups and both are delicious. Ill definitely miss coming here.

In most respects, I like Bennu. The coffee is great, there’s always seating, and it’s not super loud.HOWEVER. One of the employees is just lazy, slow, and rude. There was nobody at the counter, so I stepped over to look into the office. He saw me, and actually rolled his eyes. When he put my order on the counter, I asked if I could get a to-go bag instead, and again, he rolled his eyes, and haphazardly dropped the items into the bag.This is not the first time I’ve had an interaction like this with him. Today was enough to make me decide that I’m not purchasing from here anymore.

Went there in a Saturday morning. Guy behind the counter was super helpful with our order and the pastries were delicious. A peaceful serene morning coffee at a great spot. We loved it.

Coffee is great!! My only complaint is that the people who work here now are too ditzy to be making coffee lol. The guy who used to be here was great, but this time its like buying a coffee off Regina George and the plastics 🤣

We enjoyed our first visit here. The coffee and croissant were excellent. Lots of parking. No masks, which is something I like. Wear one if you want, or dont.( Fyi I got the vaccine and if I still need to wear a mask then what was the vaccine good for? Just askin)

I’ve been here twice in my early days in Austin and I’ve been happy with my coffee both times (I’m a cold brew aficionado). It’s one of the few places around that allows dine-in service right now and they do a pretty good job of keeping the tables spaced apart. I wish patrons would be more diligent in masking when they’re not actively eating or drinking.The wifi situation is a bit funny, you but something and then a unique code is generated to access it. Which is fine but the barista was a bit rude in presuming I was just there for the free wifi without intending to buy anything.Also the bathrooms are single seaters that remain locked so that’s a bit annoying.But small annoyances aside, this is a nice place, the staff are generally kind, and the coffee is good.

Ive been several times since I originally posted this review in August. Its my favorite cold coffee in Austin, the iced Bennu is beautiful if you like your coffee with a touch of sweet. Try it out!

Stopped in on our trip to Austin and got the Moby Dick and Great Gatsby. We were definitely not disappointed. Gave a 4 because on a Sunday afternoon the vibe was just very awkward as if you had stepped into a library. So if your there for that ( sitting in front of a computer with headphones)this would be a great spot if not then maybe come another day or time. But the COFFEE was great you can always take to go.

Pre-fake virus, this place was awesome, good strong coffee. Now even after they are giving believers vaccines, they are still enforcing masks. Probably wont be coming back. Gave them one star because the coffee is weak now.

Vanilla latte - both hot and iced - are both amazing. $4. There is a lot of seating and free wifi if you need to work. You can easily come early and meet with people. There are a lot of larger tables but plenty of seating for people who come to work. Super friendly workers. Love this coffee shop.

Sadly, Bennu now supports Tribune of the People- a communist newspaper- and allows them to advertise on their property.I guess Bennu has forgotten that Freedom and Capitalism is how they got where they are?After six years of loving Bennu, I will no longer support them. I will take my Capitalist dollars elsewhere.

If you order online you still have to wait 15 minutes for your order. You’ll be surrounded by unmasked people eating indoors while you are waiting for your to go pick up order. Go to the MLK location if you care about not getting COVID with your coffee

Nice place, close to downtown, and open 24 hours (which is nice). The coffee... eh. I personally was not overly impressed. They are suppose to be known for their gourmet chocolate syrups and whatnot. So, I tried the Raven and was not really a fan. Didnt taste any different than any other regular iced mocha from any other coffee shop. However, a couple people have recommend another drink that I should try called the Don Quixote. So Id be willing to give it another try. As of right now, Im just neutral about this coffee shop.

Work all around downtown Austin and consider this place a second home. Miss being able to hang out inside late nights, but theyve been great on COVID prevention. Staff is so friendly, they start making my drink as soon as they see me!

Really nice location. It feels more spacious than the one on the East side. But of course, great coffee in both locations. Its open 24/7 so I really like that about them.

The tea was actually really good. Ngl. No bathrooms available though and the barista was rude about it. They have the back door locked so once you go out to the patio you can’t go back in...you have to walk around to the front.

I had an amazing americano here the other day. I would definitely go back. The breakfast tacos they serve arent bad either.

This place is just fantastic. I figure you know it is a five star place if you pass about 4.5 m other coffee shops on your way to Bennu and it is not a convenient location for me. However, I still make the trip! The Iced Bennu is quite possibly my favorite coffee drink of all time. Great folks work there as well!

Fantastic coffee. The employees were very nice and helpful. This was my first time here and I liked the vibes of this place. Almost every table was full, but surprisingly it was quiet and relaxing. I would recommend this coffee shop.

Best coffee i had in the USA. Was travelling from Sydney and tried many coffee places on my holiday but Bennu on Congress was the best. The latte with a double shot was perfectly creamy, not burnt and made with care. I really enjoyed finding this place, and the friendly staff. Even though it seemed to always be busy, service was prompt. Definitely recommend to any aussies in the area looking for quality coffee.

I love Benny okay this is the coffee shop you go to when you’ve got a lot of work to do and you don’t wanna stay in your apartment or go to the library. It’s nice and quiet for effective studying, plenty of outlets, table and space. It’s not like a super neat and clean vibe more of a casual chill vibe but it’s still nice and cozy. The coffee isn’t awful either and they’ve got some awesome vegan options

I love coming here. The employees are so amazing and they actually REMEMBER you, the food is so yummy, and all the different coffee specials they have are always so yummy. I reccomend coming here very strongly. And the fact that its open 24 hours is such a plus!

Just in town overnight and looking for a good place to get breakfast and coffee. So glad I found Bennu. The Don Quixote drink was amazing! And the homemade breakfast taco hit the spot. Definitely remembering this place for the future.

They have policies that are unfairly enforced on people of color. I’m talking about banning CUSTOMERS (paying patrons) for not buying something the moment that they sit down (but only certain customers). I know that I won’t be giving one cent to this particular location until Bryan, and the manager that supports his prejudices, are no longer there. Thanks, but there are plenty of other coffee shops that deserve my money because they treat everyone with dignity and respect.

Bennu has very friendly and helpful staff, great coffee, and a good variety of food and pastries to eat for lunch or as a snack.It also has plenty of indoor seating and a large enough parking lot.Even though its not close to where I live, Ill be visiting anytime Im in the area!

Great place to late night study with some good coffee, earthy tea or rich hot chocolate. Quiet and down to earth coffee shop. The sweets they have there are good as well.

Visited on a mid Saturday morning. Enjoyed a very good cup of coffee brewed with a French press. Extremely comfortable place to relax and slowly enjoy a drink. It was quite busy but didnt feel crowded or rushed. Will definitely be returning before my time in Austin is up.

Great coffee but I would suggest you get the peanut butter cups. First come first serve and people tend to stay for a while. Make plans for coffee to go. They have a patio but no outside lights.

Ive only been here to grab and go. Their vegetarian/vegan/glutten free options are amazing. The breakfast taco company they use is good, get 3 or 4 napkins. The staff is friendly and will not make you feel bad if youre not a regular or if its your first time. Fast service and parking hasnt been as bad as I thought it was going to be.

Bennu is easily my favorite coffee shop in Austin. A great place to meet with friends for a relaxed coffee or do some work. The coffee is great and the staff are so friendly and always help but a smile on your face no matter what sort of day youre having.

Great coffee shop with delicious coffee! The parking is an issue because of the small parking lot but there is plenty of room for people to sit inside. The atmosphere is quiet and calm but comfortable enough to answer a phone call without people scolding you. Over all I had a great experience! I got work done and had my caffeine fix.

24/7 sick custom coffee drinks with plenty of comfortable seats. Do you need anything else from a coffee shop? Don’t worry there were some hipsters there so its still cool to come here :)!

Generally a nice place to work. Good coffee and the atmosphere depending on the baristas is mostly nice. Today however I felt like calling out the manager in an incident similar to what Christina mentioned. He rudely announced several times that if you dont buy anything you will need to leave. He was walking around asking everyone if they bought something and publicly told a person who just came in that he needs to buy something.

It’s one of my favorite places to spend either for working or relaxing. The only downside is finding an available spot is hard, and you have to wait long time to grab a seat. Other than that, I love everything when it comes to Bennu from the coffee to the pastries.

Bennu is always a great choice! Centrally located, amazingly friendly staff and a cosy warm interior. Many drink and snack options to choose from and delicious teas ;) Theyre open 24/7 and carry our favorite stroopwafels 😉

A great coffee shop, in a great location. They also serve superb smoothies as well as some edibles, not those edibles. Spacious location and friendly staff. Parking can get a little tight sometimes but this is a definite must for the java connoisseur and remote worker.

Until the following is resolved, I have to leave my review as follows:During a flash flood warning, the individual working the morning shift insisted that I was sleeping and told me to leave.Although it is the least crowded in the morning, I feel the least welcome around that time due to the attitude of the staff. Afternoon and evening crew are both very chill groups and each get $2 tips with every purchase. Morning crew should work on being more pleasant towards customers especially when it comes to non-verbal communication. Dont judge me for being a homeless app developer, just give me my damn coffee and take my money! The guy who works overnights and the guy with the wild ginger hair are the top 2 employees at this location and really know how to make someone feel welcome; I feel obligated to learn their names.
