Terrible experience with the service department.On October 12, 2021, I had an appointment with Capital Chevrolet to do a recall service on my 2016 Chevy Tahoe.I left a note with the service advisor, Hal Bogatz, that the driver door does not respond to the remote control lock, so you have to do it manually by using the actual vehicle key to lock and unlock.The next day October 13, 2021, I picked up my vehicle. I drove to a restaurant and could not lock the driver’s side door. I noticed there is a damage to the driver’s side door panel. I could now see the plastic white pieces that hold the door panel together. I drove back to Capital Chevrolet, and I asked Hal what happened. He told me, the technician miss interpreted his note and he thought this panel need to be fixed (the technician actually broke the plastic panel).Hal said he would have it fixed. So I left my vehicle at Capital Chevrolet again.On October 14, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. I picked up the vehicle. But it was the most possible cheap way to fix a door panel. They added some glue to try to fix the broken broken plastic that holds the door panel together. I could see the glue in the seams. In less than 2 days, the broken door panel came apart again.On October 16, 2021 at 2:30 pm, I contacted Hal again about this issue. Hal asked me again to drop it off, I explained to him that I will not be available until October 21, 2021, at 6:00pm. I dropped off the vehicle again, when I dropped it off I met with Jorge Rocha the service manager, and I explained to him that glue would not work on the broken plastic. Jorge Rocha said this is a cheap way to describe it, this is a plastic welding. This is a $1,000 fix and I will NOT spend that money also I will have one of my technicians to fix it, if not, we will contact a contractor who is specialized in this issue but Im not sure when he will be available.Today October 25, 2021, I picked up my vehicle around 11:00 a.m. and I can tell clearly see they fixed the broken panel with the same previous method, obviously, this method did not work before. I am not sure why Jorge thinks it will work now?

Incredible customer service - I came today with an emergency and Lafayette and Jose and their staff saved the day! I brought my C7 Z06 Corvette in from the Circuit of the Americas track - it was losing power with an intermittent check engine light, which is not only frustrating, but unsafe in a track environment. Despite a full docket of appointments, they whisked her away as soon as I arrived (I did call ahead) and came back with news that the throttle body was almost entirely blocked, which would likely explain the issues I was seeing. They cleaned the throttle body, and I was back in time to run the last session of the day, with NO warning lights and loss of power, so they were correct! More impressively, even though they fit me in (on a weekend, no less), they were still getting routine oil changes and customers with appointments in and out with great efficiency. I do not usually go to a dealer service shop, but in this case, I was very impressed with their ability to diagnose the problem quickly and accurately, and it was worth going to a place that knew the car inside and out. Great job and thank you!

I bought my vehicle here back in 2018, the main reason why I even went for a brand new vehicle was to not have to deal with car problems in the long run. I’m so disappointed on how my car turned out to be. My car has had a recall since the beginning and has taken it 3-4 times for recall and sensors being off (not oil change maintenance). Recently my car started decelerating again which it’s very dangerous. Service tire monitor system light is on, engine power is reduce (engine light on), steering assist is reduce drive with care light it’s on (this one makes an ugly metal popping sound every time I make a stop and then slowly accelerate or when I’m backing up or just simply have the car on. This is a factory issue and can’t even get a loner car for being a safety issue ASAP. I have a 4 year old son that just started school and can’t be without a car for 5-7 or even more days. Please don’t waste your money all you will get is amazing sales service at the beginning after that they don’t care about you!!!!

Causing my engine lot come on . Not cool. Now their service center sold to another company. The whole car buying experience has been transformed by Capital Chevrolet. It started with our salesman, Virgil White, working hard to find the specific truck that we wanted. He was in constant communication with us from the very beginning. He helped us with getting everything organized and our visit planned. We live 3 hours away and our local dealers would not help us but Virgil and Capital came to the rescue. Once we arrived to sign all the paperwork the whole team welcomed us and made us feel at home and like we have been part of the Capital Chevrolet family for years. The atmosphere at Capital is not what we have experienced in the past. They were lively, energetic and quiet honestly fun to be around. Car buying has never felt like a party but Capital Chevrolet made it seem like a huge celebration. Our finance manager, Chris Lipinski, was awesome as well. He worked every angle he could and then explained everything in detail to a point that anyone would be able to understand the process and different benefits. When we were ready to get our truck Virgil took extra time to explain all of the features and benefits of our purchase. If you want to experience car buying at a whole new level then I highly recommend visiting Virgil, Chris and the whole Capital Chevrolet team. It is well worth the drive!

I have been with this dealership for a phew years now and my mom has been with them for 7 years plus and ever since certain people left everything has gone down hill. Even the service department is falling apart, how do you stay booked till the 17th and cant even fit in a simple oil change. The old Capital Chevy had amazing workers I would show up even when they where booked and they would say sure I can take care of you its just an oil change.

Ive now purchased 2 vehicles through Capitol, both processes have gone smooth. My latest visit for my oil changes for life they informed me that its only 2 per year which I was never informed when I purchased the vehicle. I wasted my time driving it out there when they simply could of called and told me. This was a huge selling point as oil changes are getting expensive. Not happy with this change..

The service department is a joke.I waited 30 minutes to have anyone talk to me, only to be told everyone taking appointments was on the phone and Id have to leave and call back. Just a hello, were very busy, Ill be right with you works pretty good.If you value your time, go literally anywhere else. Plenty of good local mechanics that wont charge you inflated dealership prices and leave you waiting around a lobby with no communication.

This is car number 3 from this place and every time I go in they have been great! When you go ask for Bryan Garcia, he is by far one of the best salesmen I have dealt with! He goes the extra mile to make sure you are happy with the whole process of purchasing your vehicle and if not, he will make it right. Despite the difficulties covid-19 brought with the microchip shortage and the car shortage, Capital Chevrolet was very direct about what was going on. I especially liked working with my service representative Grady. He should get a raise! Great communication and updates. I had to get my Spark EV battery replaced and thankfully it was still under dealership warranty.

I bought my vehicle here because they advertise free oil changes for life. My oil change came due and I also had a recall notice to inspect a center seat belt bolt. I called to set an appointment for the oil change and the recall. I was told by the person in service that I would have to leave my truck for 3-5 days for the recall. This didnt make any sense, since all it was was putting a torque wrench on a bolt. I asked why and he said I could speak with the manager. I was transferred to the manager and left a message, but my call was never returned. I called another Chevy dealership who told me that it was nothing more than an inspection and could do my oil change and recall all at once. And shouldnt take more than an hour for both. So if you are tempted to buy a vehicle here because of the free oil changes, then beware of the service department. I will be paying for oil changes and will never take my truck to this dealership. I will say I was satisfied with the sales experience. But the service experience will make me never purchase another vehicle from Capital Chevrolet.

Do not go here! I repeat do not go here! I got a car from them over a year ago. It wasn’t the car I wanted. He said they had just sold it before I got there. So I wasn’t going to get nothing at all. Adam told me to get something keep it for 6 months and I could trade it in with no more money down. I recently went up there to try to do just that. But now they telling me I’m going to need a down payment. I haven’t missed a payment since I had the car but it’s like they’re telling me they don’t trust me to make my payments. Go to Nyle Maxwell,because they’ll work with you. Not 🧢ital they’re all cap. They talk a good game.

I thought the customer service was fine but the cost of fixing my vehicle was not affordable.I talked to the manager about it and let him know I couldnt afford 2,500 to fix my radiator.I also asked if he could match a repair price that I got a quote from a mechanical shop nearby for $800 which is way more affordable. I told him I didnt need the best parts just something affordable. He couldnt help me so I had to get my vehicle towed to another repair shop which fixed my vehicle within a day. Chevy should really match prices for customers so they can be able to afford repairs at the dealership. Its a shame because I will always go to somewhere I can afford to fix my vehicle and it more than likely wont be the dealership.

As a first time Chevy owner, I was a bit skeptical since my only experience has been with BMWs and let me say, I was blown away by the experience I had at Capital Chevrolet Service center. Rebecca, the service manager greeted me soon as I walked in the doors and went above and beyond my expectations. Made me feel like the most important person in the world.The waiting lounge was also really nice, with huge TV, snacks and free coffee. I cant complain!

Hunter was very good at keeping me informed during the entire process. He was very responsive to emails and phone calls. This was one of the easiest car buying experiences that Ive ever had. If everyone is as good as him, then this is definitely the place you need to go to purchase a new or used vehicle. I also got plenty of follow-up afterward to make sure I was taken care of. They have a repeat customer with me.

UPDATE:This is an update from my previous review. Nicole and Rebecca reached out to me right away to resolve the problems I was experiencing. After an enjoyable discussion with Rebecca, she was able to address all of my concerns and explained that they are currently in transition. I am confident that Capitol Chevy is on its way to returning to its former glory - if not, better!Not sure what is going on with the service department, service and communication has gone downhill. First off, the effort you have to make to even get a hold of a live representative is ridiculous. With several failed attempts to make an appointment over the phone, I used their online scheduling portal. After a few days, I never received any type of confirmation for my appointment, so I called the dealership to confirm. Again...just getting a hold of the service department is a nightmare. When I was able to speak to someone live in the service department, there was no record of the appointment that I had booked online. On top of that, the service representative I spoke to did not seem to know what was going on. I asked if there was an available appointnment for the date that I originally booked online, and her only response was no nothing with no effort to try to find the next available date for me. As much as I would like to stay loyal to them, this place is not worth all of the trouble.

We made an oil change appointment online for a specific date and time. When we didnt receive an email confirmation, went ahead and called to confirm they received the online request for appointment. Online systems can be tricky... totally understand that, so wanted to make sure everything was in order. The employee that took our call confirmed she received the appointment and that we were all set for our time and date. Arrived on our time and date, no one could find the appointment. Indicated we called to confirm, but that didnt make any difference because they couldnt find it in the system anymore, so they couldnt get us in. They offered next available appointment in a week, but we wont be in town and not interested in going through that circus again. I understand that online systems sometimes fail, but make sure the customer service and accountability is in place to take care of your customers even when your software falls short.

These guys don’t honor their contracts. They took a deposit on a car and when my friend went to buy the car they raised the price only after taking his deposit and refusing to then give the deposit back. Not honoring your contracts during COVID when people are already hurting… shame on you.

I had a very good buying experience with Capitol Chevrolet. Ross Lewis showed me the beautiful car, explained all of its features and we test drive it. He was very friendly and patient when answering all of my questions about the car and financing options. The whole process was very smooth. It is required that you get car insurance to finalize the process, and you have the option to either bring it yourself or they also have a well-informed broker that can find many options for you to choose. Since my work schedule was very tight, Ross guided me to get all the requirements ready, and they offered me the option of car delivery, which I appreciated a lot since I was working late and I live more than half an hour from there!

So against my better judgment, I had to buy a car. My 07 Malibu was getting pretty expensive to repair.This was my first experience at dealerships. My husband and I went to a number of places (I wont name them here that would be rude) and they all did one thing wrong. They didnt even look at me, a woman. Enter Jeff Barnett (spelling?) At Capitol Chevy.I would be lying if I said the sales tactic didnt play a part in our decision. I felt respected here, and that means a lot to me. Jeff spoke to me directly, and never made me feel dumb. Sure, I could have gotten a similar car with lower monthly payments. But at what cost? Jeff recognized me as a human, and no other dealership tried to do that.The market for pre-owned cars is ridiculous right now. If you need a car, go to Capitol Chevrolet. You will be respected and they will have you driving out of the lot with your dream boat.

This dealership deserves no reviews. This is the worst place and service I have ever had. Where do I start first I dropped my vehicle off August 17/2021 and its still there. Took them a week to even tell me what was wrong. I need a new transmission. They contacted my warranty company warranty company has send the repair money. They state they are looking for a transmission but told me they had several locations that has a 2018 Tahoe transmission mind you Im buying a brand new transmission. They dont call to tell you anything youll have to keep calling them to get NO ONE to help. The communication is TERRIBLE. The first advisor was Hal this man is the worst hes rude and has the worst communication skills and sends texts rather calling voice after seeing the customer is obviously upset. I was then helped my a name named Able who reached out once and I havent heard from him again. No one there takes ownership of anything just passes the bucket. I went to speak to a manager in person last week 9/2/21 and again here it is 9/8/21 a new week and no updates (has a transmission been located) (Maam we are still looking) NOTHING so I have to call again to check. Ive called three times today no help. I WILL NEVER EVER USE CAPITOL CHEVROLT AGAIN. I wouldnt even refer my worst enemy. If Id hadnt already wasted so much time with them Id take my vehicle else where. Sept 17,2021 will be one month my vehicle has been there and its still not repaired. *****UPDATE**** Received a call from Jorge advised the staff lost my key along with the long repair time. This place is the worst they offered me $143 off for my trouble and continued to insist I got two new keys THAT I DIDNT ASK FOR. Like this review someone will get in contact with me NOPE NEVER HAPPENS. DO NOT BUY HERE NOR SERVICE YOUR VEHICLE!!!!!!!!

Best car buying experience Ive had and got the exact truck I wanted, for the price I wanted. All with no back and forth. I was done with the transaction in less than 45 minutes and was kept informed of the delivery and readiness of the truck since it wasnt yet on the lot. The salesman that helped me out is Judlouis and he wasnt pushy or stereotypical of what most people think when they go buy a car. If youre wanting a new Chevy, go ask for him and hell take care of you.

Bryan is very good at multitasking. However, I feel there should be more like him so the customer can spend more time understanding the details of the vehicle in question. For instance! I never found out what grade of gasoline my new truck needs. I tried looking for the answer in the owners manual, but it appears not to be listed. Also the my Chevrolet app shut down while I was attempting to type in my security code. Now I cant get back in to finish.

On arrival, we were introduced to Scott Menkal who guided and assisted us in easily finding the Bolt EV we were interested in. Our purchase was finalize two days later; we are very happy to now be electric. Scott walked us through each step in learning the essentials of the EV operation and I hope he enjoyed working with as as we did with him.In two weeks we begin our first EV touring as we head for the west coast and on up to the northwest and back to Austin; 6,000 miles of Electric Dreams. I dont mind having to wait for my car to be fixed. Even if it is a week or even two weeks. I am aware there is a pandemic happening and a serious shortage of staff EVERYWHERE. Since I know this is the case, what was the purpose in telling me my car was ready on Friday at 6 PM, ready on Saturday at 2 PM (lied and said my cell phone was called - it was not)? When we did come to pick it up it was STILL not completely ready! We had to take it back for them to finish what should have been completed on one of the two days Capitol said it was ready. Its not that big of a deal bc as I said I am aware the pandemic is wreaking havoc everywhere - but honesty does not have to be compromised. Just be honest and say, Hey Lady, this is a $1,700 fix. It may take some time, please allow us to have this time to service your automobile properly. It would have been way more appreciated.

They took true car resale value of my 205 Honda Odyssey $22,775 and when I brought my car in, they offered $15000. There is no discrepancy when I fill out the online inquiry. So I asked why there is such a big difference in the price. They said it is just an estimate. What a joke! No wonder there was an angry customer left when we were waiting. Waste of time waiting there! Avoid them if possible!!!!

The sales folks are very helpful and kind and worked to get me a price I could afford and all the possible rebates and incentives I could use. I got a beautiful new Chevy Bolt Electric and Im very happy with it. Like all car dealerships, the paperwork for financing took longer than I wanted but they have good coffee and overall it was worth the wait. The service staff were excellent. The lower rating is for the lack of information about what exactly was done to my Bolt EV on its second recall. First we were told it would take five for the repair, then three and in the end it just took a few hours. I have absolutely no idea what was done to the vehicle. Not made any better to read online that I should now charge my vehicle outside my garage. It would be good to know what was actually done to my vehicle on the second recall.

🛑 No I don’t recommend Capital Chevy, they don’t even deserve one star! Worst experience ever with their SERVICE department! Been dealing with recommended engine replacement and still 1.5yrs later and vehicle is doing what it originally was before engine was replaced. Our vehicle goes in every other month for about a month and the service guys Robert and George are no help. They really know how Not to treat a customer takes them weeks to return a call if even that. They have told us our engine has been replaced 3x but still doing same thing it was originally. Robert Lopez and George we are still waiting for a phone call????????? So much more to say about this place and our experience!

Dealerships like Capitol work tirelessly to provide the minimum quality service at a premium price.Things that went well:I was able to purchase a vehicle at the website advertised price after only a small amount of haggling about the extras that were added by the dealership. The car continues to work well a year laterThings that didnt go well:This one is on me, but absolutely do not leave the lot if they owe you something about the vehicle when you purchase it, even if they write up an official looking we owe you form. The passenger side door had a scratch from transit to the dealership that they said theyd take care of. They somehow didnt have enough time to break out the paint pen in the 2 hours I waited to sign the contract and then gave me the runaround for the next week as to when and where I should bring the vehicle to get it touched up.The advertised Capitol Advantage complimentary vehicle service is not mentioned anywhere in the vehicle contract. As such, dont expect them to honor it. Brought my vehicle in for a scheduled oil change. After 20 minutes and 3 advisors, they finally found my appointment, hooray! They then informed me that not all of the cost would be covered and that my options were to wait maybe an hour? for the oil change or an indeterminate amount of time for a one-way shuttle back home; no loaner vehicles were to be had. It was at that point that I decided to go to a local mechanic instead of rewarding Capitol for employing this bait and switch tactic.

This was mine and my wifes first time purchasing a new vehicle and I have to say that our sales associate Jeff Barnett and his manager Evan made it a really great experience for us.We went to many different dealerships and were bothered by the in-your-face, high-pressure attitude that a lot of the salespeople had. Jeff and your team however were the complete opposite. They were patient and attentive to our concerns and straightfoward with us about pricing.I was very close to purchasing a vehicle from another dealership, but Jeff and Evan were willing to work with us on the price and did not pressure us at all to make a hasty decision.We will definitely be shopping at Capitol Chevy for our next vehicle and recommending the dealership to our friends and family.

After being in a car accident I had to start shopping for a vehicle. Let me say that shopping for a vehicle during a pandemic/vehicle shortage had been a complete nightmare and I had almost given up for the day but we decided to stop at one more dealership which happened to be Capitol Chevrolet. We were greeted by Rocky Reyna. We explained the ordeal of over priced, pushy salespeople, and lack of knowledgeable sales people we had been experiencing throughout the day. He immediately put us at ease and showed us an Equinox that I had gravitated towards while we introduced ourselves. While I liked the Equinox it was not my preferred choice. Rocky went the extra mile and drove us to garage to see if maybe there might be new inventory that was not out yet. There I saw 3 different options of a Chevy blazer. Typically you have way more options but this shortage wasn’t working to my advantage. After getting in and out of each one and looking at this feature vs that feature in the 3 versions we decided on the black one. We opted for custom leather which we got installed about a week later and Rocky kept in touch throughout the entire process. I am now an owner of a 2021 Chevy Blazer! Thanks Rocky for not being the “typical” salesman and actually listening to your customers needs. I wish you the best at Capitol. I would definitely refer family to Rocky and Capitol in the future.

I paid almost $4k to have my truck fixed and ready for state inspection. After a week of being at the dealership, it wobbled all over the road at 40mph. I checked the tires and they were all between 20-25psi.The engine light for low brake fluid also came on. Im not sure how it left the shop with anyones seal of approval. I miss the days when dealerships would check the fluids and vacuum the floor mats if you spent $4000.... especially when you left them a typed letter detailing that you wanted everything to be checked so that it would pass state inspection.It is a double shame, because Grady was such a nice guy each time I spoke to him. This is clearly a failure of your mechanics.I wasnt going to leave this public response except for the fact that Chevrolet continues to email me and ask me to do so.

My car was there for 6 weeks. I called to get a status multiple times and left messages with Casey and George and neither of them bothered to call me. I asked a number of people there to give me a status and to get me to someone who could without sending me to voicemail for the 10th time. No one helped and they sent me to voicemail anyway. Ive forgotten her name but a CS manager finally got me to George and I got my car. The car still is not fixed!
