Phenomenally cute place! I ordered a small sized vegan ice cream. Fantastic and it brought me nostalgia....

Not a vegan or gluten-free eater, but tried their ice creams, made with plant-based milk. Very unique flavors and handmade...but a bit pricey and the flavors were very mild. I have no frame of reference when it comes to ice cream made like this, but Ill stick with my delicious, fattening, unethical cow milk ice cream...sorry cows but your milk makes ice cream so tasty.

So cute! Kind of a cool vintage feel. A must-see! The owners and employees are super friendly! We bought a bunch of candy in bulk. They have vegan options for candy, fudge and ice cream. The vegan rocky road fudge and ice cream are to die for. Totally worth it to just go there for that. Would go again!

Yummi Joy was so great!! Oh my god they had sweet ritual ice cream and all the cute cones and it was so perfect. Also, there was one woman who worked there and she was one of the nicest people I have ever met in my life. She was just so sweet and let me try everything and gave me a good price for three scoops plus the cone. This place is so cute and I loved it. The vegan ice cream was A+

This candy store is very cute, with all sorts of different confectionaries. Even if youre not vegan, definitely give their ice cream a try! The flavors they have are strong and sweet, just like regular ice cream. Its not every day you get to find a shop as much soul as this one, so check it out sometime.

The packaged candy was very old. I spent $40 on candies for my kids and after opening and eating a few pieces I made them throw them away. I felt like it was found in an old dusty box at my great grandmas house from 1982. Terrible.

Your one stop shop for all things candy and sweet in downtown Austin! Not only do they carry a plethora of sodas and candies (from nostalgic to Asian candies) they also feature plenty of vegan options: both homemade fudges and ice creams — in plenty of interesting and fun flavours! (Rocky road, cookies and cream and unicorn poop are some flavours they carry.) I’m happy to report that they also carry various flavoured cones, which not a lot of ice cream shops do. My cookies and cream scoop in a matcha cone was to die for, and so far Yummi Joy has been the only place in Austin that I’ve found that flavour of cone.Next to the best toy store around, I definitely recommend stopping by here after some intense toy and collectable shopping for a sweet treat. Even if you don’t grab any ice cream, their soda and candy varieties are well worth a look.

Staff was super friendly. The service was quick. I chose the Peanut Butter Cup and I was so not disappointed! It made a great chaser to my espresso.

This place is amazing. Living in downtown Austin for a few months and this place is one of the highlights. Great fudge, dairy free ice cream that tastes like real ice cream, and they even cater to dogs at their sidewalk window! Check em out!

Yummi joy and toy joy are probably my two favorite shops in Austin at this point. They got all kinds of candy youve never heard of and others that you forgot about since your childhood. Decent variety of jelly beans. Definitely try their fudge its flipping amazing

I am so glad I happened upon this place. The staff is phenomenal: courteous, accommodating, and knowledgeable, with personalities that really shine in this environment. Give em a raise. The ice cream is excellent (though be prepared -- even the child-size cone is very generous), the candy diverse and unique, and the case offerings, like chocolate-dipped Oreos molded into a flower shape and sprinkled with edible glitter, are well-presented (and were equally well-received as a spontaneous gift). Despite its very new-Austin location, it has the feel of the best community shops in the old Austin I remember from twenty years ago.Edit: This place is still great. They seem to attract real talent for behind the counter. Though the faces I knew when I wrote the above review seem to have moved on, the current staff is also stellar. I especially appreciate the quirky drawing cutouts that now accent the place—artwork by a guy who also serves up the ice cream with charm and panache. Give these guys a raise too.

I was really into their large variety of vegan fudge and ice cream that was in stock. Strongly recommend the vegan Rocky Road and the normal Dulce de Leche fudge. There is a variety of other kinds of candy and ice cream available.

The staff is helpful, the toys are across the map and beyond beautiful/interesting. This is the best toy store Ive ever been to. It is like heaven every time you walk in there, even as an adult. You can find a gift for ANYONE there.

Amazing locally roasted coffee and espresso from Little City Coffee allows for some great combinations. Highly suggest a Squid Ink Affogato!!

Such good vegan ice cream!!! Also the location means you can enjoy your ice cream looking at the water if you walk a block. The people working there were very nice and helpful. There’s even vegan soft serve!!

Fan of Toy Joy since I was a kid, but we bought gummies at the Airport location today and they are rock-hard. Expensive and inedible. My 5 year old wont eat them, which says it all.

Cute store in too small of a space. Its hard to walk around and in order to get ice cream you have to cut thru the line to pay. The line to pay blocks some of the candy shelves. Also pretty pricey pwr pound
