Consummate professionals, they take their time to ask the right questions and do the quality work required to get you on the road, at fair market prices.Background:I am extremely particular about where or who services my vehicles, as I like to do most of my own work. I brought my 2014 Titan PRO-4X in for a “mystery noise” after a long move back to TX from CA. David took the time to go over the issue with me, came along on a road test and we were able to recreate the problem. I gave him a list of additional items I wanted looked at. He covered all the items and then some! Picked the truck back up, the noise is gone and it drives like new.They have definitely earned my future business.

Dave and his crew are truly some of the most honest mechanics Ive met. I spent 2 weeks going back and forth with Dave on what I suspected was the issue with my 4Runner and at first he stated there was no issue but eventually confirmed it when we rode together. He admitted it was an oversight and I realized they run a good business since everyone makes mistakes sometimes but its what you do to make it right at the end that counts!

Debugged the problem with my car but did not do that kind of work so they did not charge me. Very trustworthy!

This shop is great! Theyre my go-to to diagnose whenever I have something wrong with my car. They go above and beyond and their prices are fair!I tend to do my own work because I have a habit of upgrading / modding my car whenever something breaks, but I trust these guys more than anyone in Austin to tell me whats wrong first and give it to me straight. Highly reccomend!

I couldn’t say better things about Rising Sun. I brought my Nissan Rogue in with some serious issues. Not only did they work with me to provide safe solutions for my car but they were more than generous in their pricing. Not only were they upfront, honest, and fair but they made sure my vehicle was repaired in just a few hours. It also turned out that I needed a few new tires. David knew I was tight financially, so he called around for me to price check tires. I don’t think I will trust anyone other than Rising Sun with my vehicle.

The people are easy going and really helpful! They helped me figure out a noise coming from my WRX and got it all fixed up! We also took our older 4Runner to get the breaks flushed and they were able to get it done quickly so we could go camping the next day. Excellent service!

Went to this shop because it has great reviews and I had high hopes of fair honest service. After taking my recently purchased vehicle in for an inspection I will never go back. Not only was I brushed off when I dropped off my vehicle the time frame of my appointment was not maintained so I did not have my vehicle back for work. I had to call multiple times to get an update and was dismissed until I demanded to be spoken with. They also tried to rip me off for every repair possible. In addition the prices they quoted me being several hundred dollars over what any other garage would have charged. You should not profile your customers. Some women know quite a bit about auto maintenance and repair. I was hoping to have someone else take care of it but now I will do it on my own.

I took my 2008 Tundra to the North location, unsure what was wrong with it, just knowing it was misfiring and the engine check lights would not go off. I left it at the shop and was contacted throughout the day by Daniel, with pictures of the mangled injector. He kept me informed of everything he did, asked what I wanted before proceeding, and then I was given a bill that was extremely reasonable for the excellent service provided. They are the best in Austin, and Im taking another friend there today. Thats the best recommendation of all, I think. They are great.

Honestly the best experience with an auto shop. They were polite, offered a better price than the competition. Notified me of other issues with my car that they were willing to fix, and when I got my car back it felt absolutely brand new. Couldnt recommend more. They also somehow fixed my radio and I never even asked!

The integrity upon which they hold their work is shown in everything they do -- from the way they carefully answer your questions, to the way they carefully lay out parts vs labor costs as well as their recommendations. It is honestly a luxury to go to a dealership where youre not always on alert about a possible scam or unneeded repair they might sneakily slide into the bill. Everything they do is honest and handled with a degree of professionalism seldom found in other auto service businesses. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Ive taken my Land Cruisers there for the past 5 years and wouldnt think of visiting a different shop.***Adding in a follow up on this review from a while back. I had some serious starting issues going on and as usual, they diagnosed in no time and had me back on the road the next day. Cant recommend this place enough.Great, knowledgeable team and fair prices. Also David, the owner, called me back a couple of weeks later just to check that wed identified the right issue. Wow, super cool.

I needed my sparkplugs replaced, started the work myself and ran into some problems. Nissan/Infiniti could only sell me a complete new sparkplug boot/coil for $180 part only ! Rising sun replaced just what was needed (boot only, $14), and replaced my sparkplugs. Price was exactly as promised and more than half what I would have been charged for labor at Infiniti. Car drives great. Rising Sun got me on the road again, great quality and value. Highly recommend.

The team at Rising Sun really knocked it out of the park for me with work on my 73 FJ40. After several jokers made a mess of it Brandon and Jim got it squared away. Top flight work that had some fab work and turned out great. I will be going back for the next project.

Good deal on an oil change. Then they suggested an additional $2500 of work. I got quotes from several other mechanics for $1200 less. Standard routine. Lure people in with a reasonable oil change, recommend thousands in additional work.

Our highlander was experiencing some issues starting up right away, and we feared that the starter itself was going out. We dropped the car off at night and the next morning early we got a phone call stating that it was most likely the battery and nothing else. The repair was quick and reasonable. The shop is immaculate and the service there is always amazing. I will continue to take my import cars there.

Japanese cars get fixed here for less than the dealer, faster and fairer. Dave and Dave are awesome. Used them for 6 years on the family fleet.

Ive depended on these guys for over two years now to help with all the big and little things that can go wrong with an older vehicle. They are pleasant, efficient , competent and extremely honest. When I needed to replace my tires, they even offered to put them on at no charge as a convenience to me if I bought them next door but also told me where to go for the best value. So thankful to have them nearby!!!!

Had what appeared to be a smurf vomit all over the positive battery terminal on my wifes 2008 Civic. I thought it was something I could handle and went about replacing the terminal as it had corroded all the way through. I was unable to get it off the eye-lid on the cable so I decided to just replace that entire piece. As I began this project I cut back the wire to add the new terminal only to find the inside of the wire had oxidized about a foot into the cable and looked into having the entire battery harness replaced. The part itself was about $623 from Honda and the dealership was estimating about 4-5 hours of work billed at roughly $100hr. I called Dave @ Rising Sun after a friend had referred me. Dave was great, got the part replaced and all done for under $400.Really appreciate it and will absolutely recommend these guys to anyone with a Honda/Toyota for service/repair. Interactions were good. Able to get my car fixed up with a reasonable price.

Brought in my car for a basic belt change and inspection, It got done quick, but Picked up my car with oil/grease/lube or something smeared all over the front end of the car, headlights and hood. Was too crunched on time to ask them to at least clean the thing off. I also get to drive around with an inspection sticker at a 45 degree angle to the registration sticker for the next year.Would like to think they would at least clean off their mess before they give you your car back.

What can I say about Rising Sun Auto Repair other than they shoot you straight and if the job is not done right the first time they will redo it at no charge. Their pricing seems to run a bit High but your honesty and accuracy of repair it is well worth it.

Rising Sun is fantastic. Ive been taking my Subaru there for a few years and have had nothing but great service. Its also nice to see the vintage japanese autos on the regs as well. You have to think that if the guys with the old Fairlady Zs like the place it has to be worth it.

Ive always had a great experience at Rising Sun.One of my favorite persons, and a great Mechanic, Ken, works there, and he is a very nice and adept person.When he was at the Rising Sun South, there is where I went, and now that he is at Rising Sun north, I now go there.

The shop was closed at 3:45 Friday while business hours are 7:30-5:30 M-F (stated on the door). No one answered my phone call.
