Would not recommend coming here for sure. I’ve had to bring my two vehicles here within a months time. 1. For a oil change which turned out to be a $300 bill, because the threads for the oil pan got stripped out. He blamed the last place I took my car in for a oil change. Then there is my Jeep, it would over heat when I’d take it out of town. I brought that in 2 times, and it still over heats. I definitely didn’t bring it here for the 3rd time. And by the way I was charged for every time I brought it in.

Dave always gets me in a soon as he can. Hes honest and reasonable! His mechanics do a fantastic job! I highly recommend Austin Tire.

The staff was so nice and kind to me and my daughter in law . My 2016 Chevy Cruze broke down on our way to Mayo. The car was towed. The repair was ggoing to to be extensive. Dave offered to take us on to Mayo. We reschedule my appointment and he allowed us to wait for my son to arrive to haul my Car back to Des Moines. I was teary and he couldnt have been more accommodating to us. Helped push my car on our trailer. Thank you.

Dave is a really great guy he has gone to back and helped us out several times. He did have a mechanic that did things that were not right, but Dave has work tiresly to fix them.

Two months ago I got a flat on a Sunday. Had it towed to Austin Tire and was fixed on Monday. Dave knew I didnt get paid till Friday but still fixed my car and let me drive away. Went and paid him immediately when check hit the bank. Dave is a great family man with a heart of gold. Next time Im needing tires I will definitely be going back.

I chose to give this place a shot. I was very scared about pricing and being taken advantage of. The price for my oil change was fair and the staff was very helpful. I know next to nothing about cars. Calling to schedule an oil change was very simple and not over complicated. The mechanic working on my van was very kind and helpful. Letting me know I had a dirty filter and if I would like it changed. The last place never even asked me that. The owner was out at the front desk, to what Im assuming was training in a new secretary. Both were friendly and very helpful. I would recommend this place above all other places in town.

The owner Dave provided exceptional service from the moment I walked in the door. He was happy to help me get my car looked at right away. The issues with my car were determined within minutes and I was able to get in the next day for the repairs even though it would take a few hours. I am very grateful that the entire staff- the ladies at the front desk, the mechanics, and the owner- all made the experience as quick and smooth as possible. Even though I live outside of Austin now, I will probably bring my car back here in the future. Kindness and eagerness to help goes a long way! Austin tire is under new management and I was so extremely pleased with their help! They were so incredibly polite and helpful on the phone. When I got there to get the new tires on, they were able to help me in many different ways! Was very fast service and extremely polite workers. They really cared about the safety of our family in our upcoming vacation since we will be driving 3,000 plus miles on our vehicle. They definitely will be getting our service again!

First time going to Austin Tire. I had heard some bad things. However, the new owner David who has owned it for a month had great customer service. My tire was almost completely flat, so I called Austin tire, and they fit me in right away. They seem really honest, when I was waiting in the room for them to check out the tire, the younger mechanic rolled out my wheel and showed me where the hole was. He found a good used tire to put on. Generally when I have an issue with a tire and go somewhere else, they usually try to pressure me into getting all new tires put on my car. So this ended up being cheap!

These people literally made my day, month and year with how amazing they are. I hit something on 90 and they got me in instantly. They worked with me to get me new tires and back on the road safely. My fiance and I wont go anywhere else. They also found a leak in his oil and got it fixed right then and there. After that fix, his gas consumption in his car drastically got better. If you want good mechanics and just generally good people, this is the place to go.

Owner, David, was exceptional to work with! I was able to get a set of new tires that I feel more than satisfied with at a great price! I was unaware of the different services besides tires that they have available .I was also able to have my air conditioning recharged. I stopped in to Austin Tire on Thursday September 22nd with a leak in my brand new tire (consequently bought elsewhere). I was greeted in the parking lot by a very nice and helpful young man. I told him my dilemma and he assisted me immediately. While I waited inside the store, I had the opportunity to meet the new owner, David Watson. He assisted in fixing my tire right up and brought me the tiny nail he found in my new tire. He refused to take any money for the repair. This kind and most generous interaction between human beings is so rare these days. When I met David I instantly knew I had come to the right place (even before he finished my tire). It is such a wonderful feeling to know that there are genuinely good people in this world. People who care about people. With all the sadness and suffering in the world today it is hard to even go out of your home some days, and this young man took the time to reach out to help me and made my day. Great service, great friendly staff, service was quick! I had all new tires put on my vehicle. They taught me some things about tires to help pick the right one to fit my needs. They also pointed out a bad wheel bearing, I had already known about this but didnt mention it. They gave me a great deal to ensure my vehicle was ready for a long road trip! Very trustworthy, highly recommend!

Dave and staff at Austin Tire go above and beyond to provide honest, quality service. They are like a family who takes care of everyone in emergencies and for everyday needs too. Very helpful in explaining options, getting rides to and from work while car is getting worked on. Also if by chance, your brake locks and your tire starts on fire they are the ones to call right after 911! I was up and running in no time at all. I would highly recommend them.

Wow after being told by discount tires a 600$ charge for my tire service this company does it all for 400 and discount telling me no one is gonna do it for less but i called austin tires to have them do it for 200$ less than them. What a great place!

Blew a tire on the Interstate. Im still fairly new to the Austin area so I wasnt sure who to csll. A friend had heard Austin Tire was under new ownership and suggested them. I called and they got me in right away. I was greeted out in the parking lot and offered coffee while I waited. They had an almost brand new tire that they put on, saving me a ton of money and the guy cleaned up two of my lug nuts that had been rounded off to save me a few extra bucks so they wouldnt have to be replaced as well!! Now that I know about these guys, Ill definitely be coming back. All of their staff seems very knowledgeable and they are extremely courteous. Great custom service!

Very inept. Went in for something simple, they couldnt handle it, destroyed my property and tried to make me pay for their mistake. When they FINALLY after a month of me having to remind them, made it right (not really) I was treated like the bad guy. And they never finished the job. Go somewhere else trust me.Take note of all the glowing reviews. MANY users have 1 review to their name. And this shop has way more reviews than most others in town and they are a small shop. Food for thought

All I can say is honest and hard working. I gave them my vehicle and asked for brand new tires, well they called me after I had dropped it off and asked if I could come back in and look at something. Well I did and they brought me right back to my vehicle and showed me the issue which was my sway bar had completely sheared off from the a arm and so i had them fix it. They were able to get it all done with in the same day. Cant say how greatfull I am of the way they handled my vehicle!

I wish I could have given a better review, but they did not order the right part to fix my car door so now the door handle has to be shoved back in to place after every single use. Sometimes even then it doesnt go in right causing my door not to lock properly. Kinda sucks that you pay for a service and dont get your moneys worth. Now I have a crappy door lock in this crime ridden town we live in. The owner was very nice and it seemed like a good place to go, I just wish I received better service for what I paid for.

I went in last Thursday to get new tires on my vehicle because I had heard good things about the new owner. I picked the tires I wanted and I was told they had to be ordered and that they could get me in Wednesday (today). I asked if I could drop it off before I went in to work, and pick it up after work. He told me that would work out just fine.I dropped it off today before work. After work, when I went to pick up my car, I noticed the new tires had not been put on yet. I went inside and someone else was working and said they had no idea about the service to be done. He then said that he could get it in shortly and it should be done in an hour and a half.I went back two hours later and the service had still not been done on my vehicle. The person told me that they couldnt find the tires anywhere and said that there was no invoice or anything suggesting that I was to have any service done.When I originally went in I had a very good first impression of the new owner, but I was ultimately let down today.

Well.....How do I start....The owner is just an awesome guy. I admit it. I know him well.He’s been one of my best friends for pretty much most of my life. Actually probably the longest of anyone.So yeah, this review is biased (for what it’s worth).Many reviewers have already left reviews stating how awesome the owner and the service staff is...I would agree with them.Let’s be honest, you can get tires and car service many places. This isn’t a new thing.However, when I was helping my friend Dave (the owner) literally remodel the inside of the shop before it really had even reopened, he wanted to create something different than all of the other service repair places out there.He really wanted to have a tire and service shop experience that people would actually enjoy instead of dreading going to.He wanted to be helpful, not salesy. You know what I mean. You’ve experienced it.So you might be thinking, “huh, well is this place for real?”The proof is in the pudding as they say, or in other words the proof is in the results.When Dave bought Ausitn Tire, he inherited 6 Google reviews in July/August 2016.As of the writing of this review in December 2017 (17 months later) he has 70 reviews.And yes, he didn’t pay anybody to write any reviews. They all came from more than satisfied customers.So don’t take my word for it, read the other 64 reviews if you would like.There are more positive reviews for a tire and car repair shop then many cities might have for a local pizza place.... in 17 months.That should tell you something.So, If you’re needing help with tires or some vehicle repair, you should give him a call to see if they can help.P.S. I live 3 hours away and I still bring my vehicles in.But you already knew I was a little biased :-)

Who as a business owner would use a customers car while they are out of town ? He should be embarrassed to do such a thing as it’s next to a crime. Getting it all dirty from his kids when hauling them around in it and getting it greasy. Then bill a customer months later !! I have been in auto repair management for over 30 years and it doesn’t get any shadier then this owner of Austin Tire. He makes the auto repair business look very bad.

My mom has two vehicles and she went and had the tires switched, after not using one of them hardly until a trip to Rochester days later to a very important doctor appointment, she was going 65 down the freeway the wheel falls off, all the lug nuts were gone and she was almost killed, luckily the truck didn’t roll or crash into anyone.

They gave no estimate.No suggestions/solutions very rude almost bullyest, and unfriendly. Didnt fix the one thing I wanted done. Never expanded why would leave thinking it was fixed only to find out its still not working 9 Hundred and some dollars later the one and only thing I wanted fixed still isnt and was told take it to chrysler.

If I could give 0 stars I would. They charged me over $1,700 to put in a moter and put a battery too small in. They did not tighten the moter mount which caused it to shake and rub on my other parts. It broke my power steering and my thermostat and cooling housing unit. Costing me $1,000 more not even 6 months later. Didnt even offer to fix it. All the owner said was he was at a loss for words .It was his responsibility to make it right and he wouldnt. I dont recommend him at all!!!!
