Jason and crew are gone!! I dropped my car off and they had it for two weeks. Got it back and problem was never fixed. Gas light was on. Maybe they did some joy riding?? Dont know mileage in and out wasnt documented. Went to dealer and it was fixed in 1 day for the same price they were going to charge me. Had been going here since 2008. Wont be back.Check the dates of previous reviews. Not sure when new management was taken over.

Went in for an oil change and tire rotation. Learned that Jason and his crew have moved on. The new owner and crew are a huge disappointment. They didnt close the air box, they broke the air in take hose, and there was oil everywhere in the engine compartment. There was also oil on the windshield, fenders, and bumper. They stole the change from vehicle. The prices jumped from $35 to $66. The worst part is that they didnt even bother to mention the things they broke. The excuse I was given for the poor workmanship is that they were very busy and the tech didnt know what he was doing. I will not be back.

PLEASE READ! Ive gone to the Tuffy Tire and Auto Service located at 3190 N. Aurora Rd., Aurora, IL for a good 15 to 20 years when Jason was the owner. I could always trust his honesty and help every time I went to get my car serviced. On August 5, I went to get my oil changed and discovered that Jason no longer owned this Tuffy location. Naturally I was disappointed. Without going into full detail of the experience I had I just want to HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend ALL of you to get a secondopinion on any high quote given. I am thankful I did. The quote I got was extremely high and the second opinion I got was an eye opener!! I am a person who loves to give positive reviews but I am not able to in this situation. I feel morally obligated to share this. I will NOT be returning here.

Hello fellow people who need their cars worked on! So, long story short, I knew my brakes were going so I started saving up but then on June 10, 2021 I heard this horrible grinding sound. Figured it was brakes and sure enough it was. Brought it in and was immediately taken care of by RON. He was super cool, willing to help me since it was not safe to drive my car, and was consistent with reaching out to me, updating me and getting the job done in a timely but efficient manner ! I very much appreciated not only his ability to help me, but he also has a great personality which honestly separates him from other people I know in the industry which draws me to come back in. And that says a lot considering I live an hour away. Thank you Ron!

The people at this Tuffy, especially Ron, went totally above and beyond for me when I was in need. It has been hard for me to find mechanics who are patient and understanding, and not taking advantage of me because I am a young woman, and who are also trustworthy when it comes to repairs. I will be bringing my car back here for as long as I am in the Chicagoland area (and maybe even after that).

This is my go to place for vehicle service. I find their professionalism, vehicle service, and customer service to be top notch from their owners/managers to their technicians. I highly recommend this place for your vehicle needs. Not once have I ever felt cheated or misinformed and have always looked forward to having my vehicle serviced. They have been working with me for 4/5 years now. Lastly, since I do know that this matters to a lot of people, their pricing is very much reasonable and of value, especially with the aforementioned courtesy and service they render.

I love Tuffy Auto Services in Aurora. Jason and his team are very friendly, professional and honest. As a woman I always feel comfortable going there. He doesnt try to screw you over. I never been to this Tuffy but i spoke to someone on the phone and that was enough for me to understand this is a reliable and honest people. Finding auto repair places who knows what they are doing is not difficult but finding a honest mechanic is nearly impossible. When i spoke to someone at this place for a quote, he said that my car should be covered under warranty, unlike the place where i took for oil change, they quoted nearly $700 for my drive axile repair.

I dont write many reviews but Tuffy helped me out when I was in a jam. I had brake problems to the point my car couldnt move and I luckily called Tuffys because they were close. They helped with absolutely everything and completely took care of a nightmare brake situation. One thing I noticed while I was waiting for my brakes to get fixed is how good their relationship with their vendors, tow truck driver and customers was. Everything you could want in an auto services manager: trustworthy and cares that your car gets fixed right.

I have known Jason since he opened. I am a car collector and very particular about my cars and who works on them. Jason and all his team members are a rare breed. They actually give a damn about you and your cars. I do not trust dealers. But I trust Jason to have taken some 7 cars to him over the years from a classic Studebaker Avanti, a late model Corvette and the family cars, a Benz and now this SRX that is Cubby Blue that keeps on getting a flat every 6 months it seems(lousy Naperville roads).In the auto repair business it is impossible to find someone like Jason who is fair and honest!!!

Took my first car here and had nothing but great service from Jason and Chris. I ended up having to buy a new car, and Jason took the time to squeeze me in at the end of busy day to take a look at a car I was test driving to see if it was worth the buy because He is an honest guy, and I trust him. Jason at Tuffy Auto is a Great place to bring your car for service. Let me explain, that I have been to several repair places and they will always try to add repairs that are currently unnecessary to increase their profits. Here at the Tuffy Auto at 3190 N. Aurora Road, in Aurora, IL they give you the facts in laymans term to explain what is wrong with your car. I bring all of my four cars to this location. I had a situation where my check engine light was on and they replaced a bad valve, but the light would then come back on again. I was warned before hand, it might be the main circuit board if the light came back on, which can cost more money for a electronic board. I brought the car back and left it for 3-4 days, as I was out of town for business. When I came back, they decided before changing the main electronic board, they took the time to clean all the ground locations for the emission control on the car. No just to let you know this is my old 2003 Honda Accord with 175,000 miles, so its pretty old but still running with a rebuilt transmission! Well, driving the car again, the check engine light never came on again and Jason at Tuffy Auto solved the problem. They didnt event charge me for the extra time they took to diagnose and cleaning all the grounds contacts for the emission system. Plus, they saved me another $600 from having to buy a computer main board! This is an honest repair shop, that you cant go wrong with. They are qualified mechanics that diagnose problems you may have with your car and give you honest, fair, repairs as opposed to many other repair shops trying to increase the bill, where some other shops dont think you know anything about cars. But, Tuffy will go in great detail to explain what is happening to your car, so you will understand what is being done and why. I cant say more, but this is the shop I would highly recommend going to for servicing your car as I have for the past 20

The BEST shop that you can take your car, period. Ive been taking my cars here for prob 10 years. We keep our cars until they just dont run anymore and you will not find a MORE Honest shop and owner in Jason. Never pads the work, understands if the car is older and you want to just keep it safe, will only recommend what has to be fixed vs things that are broken but will be fine for a safety perspective. I even take my new car there for all regular servicing, wont go anywhere else. You will not be disappointed with the service at Tuffys. I literally can not say enough good things about Jason, his shop and the work they do.

I love this place even though I no longer live in the area i still travel put here just for their services. Jason is super nice and honest, youre definitely not getting upcharged for work here. Its hard to come across a place thats not charging you an arm and a leg. They work with you, take payment plans, and try to fit you in their schedule no matter how busy. If you wait there you get complimentary drinks or coffee and tv. Theyll show you whats wrong, tell you how you got it, and work with you to fix it.

Jason isnt there any longer. Had our brakes done and I dont think they tested before giving back the car. Almost immediately had an issue with the caliper (seemed to almost detach) which was blamed on a slide pin bolt being worn to failure. It seems questionable that this bolt would fail immediately after a brake job.

Know what they’re doing and do everything in their power to save you money without compromising service or the vehicle. I used the money I saved to buy them a dozen donuts. Great guys over there.

I came here to get an oil change on a weekday morning. When I walked in, I had to wait a few minutes before I could even speak to someone. I needed the oil change done before the evening as I was going on a road trip that day. The staff member said that they supposedly were to busy to do a simple oil change sometime during that day and recommended I go somewhere else. I did. I went to Pepboys where they gave me ~$30 off of my synthetic oil change and a free tire rotation.

I dont understand why there is no review on these guys on here but I have been going there for years and they are beyond amazing. They helped out many times. Most recently, they checked out my Nissan. Gerald Nissan told me I needed thousands of dollars to repair my low miles Nissan but these guys figured out that the problem was much simpler and fixed it for free. They have also been incredibly helpful with some of my other cars. Just one of the most incredible auto services that I ever experienced. PERIOD.

The reviews are true. I have been taking our cars to Tuffy Aurora for almost 3 years now. Although we have moved about 30 mins away to Naperville, I still find time to go there. A truly honest business with great workmanship! There arent many shops which would tell you that your car didnt need something. You have all heard the stories of a $50 repair coming out to be $500 in the end. Not here!

They are so OVERPRICED. I have a 2006 Honda odyssey and replaced its high pressure power steering wheel hose. They charged me $479 after tax. Surprisingly, this is a discounted price. Initially it was more than $500 (I asked him for a discount instead of finding another shop since I was kind of in a hurry).The other day they quoted me about $600 for starter motor replacement (aftermarket), and I ended up doing it myself. If you do googling you will find their price way over the top.I wouldnt do any business with them.
