Friendly staff. Great deals on decorations and furnishings.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. My mother purchased a chair last night that was on display with no damage at time of purchase. The next morning we went to pick it up. It was still sitting at the store on display with the smallest tag that said sold. Barely noticeable. We asked the associate to please come take it down so we can put it in our vehicle. We were there 20 minutes. In that time frame several people had been sitting on it and 2 kids hopping and climbing up it. The store rep continued doing other tasks.I asked the worker for the second time to please take it off display so people would stop climbing on it. Upon looking, there was damage to the seat (small damage) but damage, to our chair.Finally a store rep came up and I explained VERY calmly to the associate that I was not pleased that they had just left it there, they could have brought it out back or put something around it so people couldnt sit on it. She interrupted me immediately and said we are not giving a discount (I said NOTHING about a discount) I was simply trying to explain why I was upset.She then went to get the manager. To whom was WORSE than the previous woman. She came up before I even said a word immediately said so in the last 10 minutes youre claiming someone damaged this chair?I calmly replied no and started to say the same thing I told the previous woman on how they could have moved the chair or prevented others from getting on it. She interrupted me every time I spoke. At that point I asked her for the 3rd time to take the seat off display so we can leave.I will be letting my friends and family know what happened today. My mother and I have spent thousands at this store but today you lost our business and Im sure more business will be lost with these 2 working there.This happened at the Augusta Maine store at 11 am

You can pretty much get the same stuff at Walmart or Target, for a fraction of the cost. ( even though the entire store was 50% off )

I literally could have bought everything in this store. Beautiful items! But the prices were more than I like to pay. Not terrible, but I can fin it cheaper at homegoods. Some items are higher quality, tho, so if you can afford it, get it here!!!

What happened to wonderful Pier1? I used to love shopping here..now its just a bunch of overpriced items...same stuff you get at other big box stores for a fraction of the price. I also ordered online last year and whoever packed the order must have been very disgusted with their job as they didnt wrap anything...just thrww the items in with no more regard than throwing them in the trash...which is what I has to do because they were all broken!I will say that once everything gets priced down on clearance THEN its a good buy!I hope I feel better about shopping there again..I miss the old Pier1!

Staff was rude and asked me not to touch merchandise (a pillow, to be specific) despite the fact that people generally like to pick up things they are interested in buying. She literally swatted my hand away and said That is not a toy! Ladies and gentlemen, I am a 20-something-year-old woman, not a child. This was after she lurked around the store watching my partner and I the entire time we were there. She definitely lost one purchase and my future business!

I enjoy going to Pier 1. They have nice things, great candles, great prices, and fun employees who are knowledgeable. They are Real People.

Over priced, snobby and rude staff. When someone asks to use a bathroom (which they have two public bathrooms, mens and womens) they shouldnt receive a dirty look and be told usually its for customers onlyFirst of all. Anyone who walks through that door is a customer. The workers should learn a thing or two about customer service.

Nice and friendly .i was there before they opened so was the first one in.

I hadnt been here in a long time, and I was pleasantly surprised by sales, selection, and prices. Ill probably go more often now.
