Like everywhere, help is limited. I dont blame them for that, however it is frustrating when only self checks are open and the only person there to help doesnt know how to use the self check registers. Had 2 items that wouldnt scan and it took 10 minutes for her to figure out how to look the items up. Seemed to be decently in stock which is a plus when it is also hard to find products everywhere.

Poor experience every time. I have never been forwarded in a bigger circle than calling this location. No responsibility from any team member. The management of the Maine stores is absent to say the least. Trying to order a window, I say my size of 35 we end up wasting time on a 30 window because its closest!? This is not a business that is efficient to work with, unless you can rely on helping yourself rather than an employee having training or education in the department they are assigned to.

The Home Depot man named, Tim, who works up front at the desk, is fantastic! I came into the store for help with a hydrangea plant. It was totally splitting down the middle. He negotiated a fair price, and he gave me knowledgeable advice on how to save it. Great guy!! Thanks, Tim!

The shopping was good. I didnt like the idea of arguing with an employee in the bathroom about using the handicap stall. Im handicapped. She claimed the others were nasty. She lied. I told her to wait until shes 60 and needs a handle to get back up. I feel she should have reported that one of the stalls needed tending to. The others were fine.

Fairly good though I have had better. I can understand with this covid thing because help is hard to find. They were not super helpful till I found the right guy but when I did he went above and beyond a 3 reflects how little interest the first two people I met were avoiding helping me. But the guy was a 6 I averaged 0 + 6 came up with the three. Choose your help wisely when you go in

They were very helpful we went in looking for door knobs we were changing the locks and they made things quick and easy I was in and out.

Its absolutely infuriating, how dismissive the staff is :Sez I, Hello, Im looking for --I dont know, and the person who could answer your question isnt here, came the snarky response and blank stare.Going elsewhere is well worth the drive, regardless of the distance. I can fix this with a good dose of shop someplace else and I hope that you consider this option, too. Its not worth frequenting someplace that doesnt appreciate your patronage

I had a big painting project to do.The associate walked me through all of the steps and options and even helped me make a decision on what I should get for paints. My project came out awesome because of the great customer service that I received.Thank you!

Stopped going years ago after multiple issues. Gave them another chance while shopping basic power tools. Waited over 20 minutes for one of their pros to tell me he hadnt heard of Chicago pneumatic, offered no further assistance finding something comparable(even though asked). And all from a chair to comfortable to remove himself from.... And the item I was looking for is listed on the site. Maybe Ill try in another 8 years :)

Home Depot is charging a $.75 recycle fee for paint. Which I do not agree with because they will not take back the empty cans so you’ll have to take it at another location and pay the fee to get rid of. Home Depot is putting fees on items to make more money for the company which is not a customer relationship I would want to deal with any more

I cant say enough about Steve that helped us with trying to find the flooring we needed. Five stars for Steve. Lower rating for the fact that the store didnt have stock for the 4 or 5 choices we picked out. We wanted enough flooring for 800 sq ft, the had nothing in stock to accommodate that.

Came in for just a very basic metal screw fastened hook for pictures. Asked for help and the first guy I asked was pretty annoyed with me that I asked him something while he was busy talking with another employee about their day. He didnt look at the hook just said go in 19. Spent a half hour looking with no help. Went to device desk for help and told them at the desk an employee was a bit rude to me and then was met with a scoff and a laugh and was turned into a joke with other employees. Was then told to go to other isles where I would be found to help after the woman at the desk gave them my description. Im writing this from isle 19 waiting for help still after an hour of looking for just a basic screw on hook. I wish I was making this up.

I would not recommend using their online ordering. Every time I order for in store pick up, i walk in the store to find a line of people that are having issues with their order. I have been told that the item I purchased isnt in the store 2 out of the 3 times that I have ordered online (after using the app to make sure the item was in stock prior to ordering).The store is good enough I guess but their online ordering service is atrocious.

The people are real friendly and helpful. When finding what we needed, the home depot app was nice to have. Isle 57 is hidden hidden though.

DISCRIMINATORY POLICIES AGAINST THE DISABLED- Take your business to Lowes!I came into Home Depot to open a commercial account. Having medical issues making mask wearing impossible, I was told by the female manager that I could not shop at the store despite the fact that I have been coming in without issue for months, and I come in during off hours, easily maintaining social distance from others as the store is huge and never busy. I was given only one option to shop- curbside pickup... which is hardly accommodating under my title 3 protections- in fact it’s discriminatory.Obviously, curbside pickup doesn’t work from a personal but especially a business standpoint. One needs physical access to materials in order to choose paints, flooring, carpets, lumbar, etc as well as compare prices and ascertain quality to fulfill client’s specific needs.I shouldn’t be forced to repeatedly waste hours of my day and spend thousands of dollars buying a multitude of product options curbside to figure out which items I need before returning most of them, wasting even more time- which means wasting money because I have to move fast to get work done to turn a profit.Seeing as other Home Depot’s have agreed to accommodate me but my local location will not, citing “changing mandates” (meaning- arbitrary store policy at manager’s discretion since Maine allows medical exemptions), I cannot risk opening a commercial account, spending vast sums of money, with a business that chooses to discriminate against the disabled based on ever-changing rules- ones that aren’t grounded in reality and only serve to exclude people.Thank you to LOWES- they have never once embarrassed me or refused me the right to shop as any one else does so that is where I will keep my business. Home Depot, you should be ashamed!

Overall this trip was a pleasant experience. Everything was right where it was supposed to be and I was in and out of there with what I needed. The docking of a star is because of one employee in particular. As I was walking up to the online pickup desk, to pick up my order and pay for the items I had in my hand, this woman stopped me asking me for proof of purchase.... profiling me as a thief when I was clearly looking to complete a transaction. Extremely rude of her to do this then continue to stand over my shoulder to make sure I paid...

The employees here are always so helpful. Most recently I had the pleasure of of having Anita cash me out and she saw that I was purchasing quite a few plants. So she went and grabbed a few trays for me to use to make my life a little easier, even warned me about my little tomato plants potential to break its little arm due to the way it was situated in my cart. 5 stars, so nice 👌

A couple of things would make this place worth visiting: opening more than one register (along with the self-check out lanes) at a time; ensuring that the employees understand the importance of being helpful (I cant fault the employees, as much as their behavior may be indicative of their work environment).If Lowes or Aubuchon Hardware is too far of a drive, then this place could be considered an alternative, in as much as Hydrox Cookies are an alternative to Oreos.

Home Depot is Home Depot, and if you need the home repair stuff this is probably where youll go. The staff is pretty helpful and my favorite kind of brusque about it. Ask a clear question, get a short answer.

Took a bit of time but they found the rechargeable tool I needed. Military discount was applied to the purchase without any issues.

I drove 45 minutes to purchase a door that thier website says they have in store. Asked for assistance from an employee that was rude and short, implying that I must not know how to use the website.Bonus- the store was rundown and filthy.

Got everything I needed quickly. I didnt have much time to get what I needed and get back to the task at hand.

Horrible customer service. The Pro desk had someone who would not listen, not nice at all. Finally called management and still would not listen, was given false information by cashier. Will not shop this store again.Horrible customer service and employees.

After doing business with Home Depot for 25 years (we’re a construction company), they sent us two windows that are warped, a broken window, and one window that wasn’t even the correct order. Not to mention is took 6+ weeks to simply get 8 windows ordered and filled. American Craftsmen and Home Depot have severely let our company down, and our customer. They won’t offer any discount for the trouble, and refuse to put a rush on the new ones. When we spoke to them on the phone, they made it sound like we were inconveniencing them. We are more than disappointed.

Typical big box hardware store. They always have what I need in stock, even though the associates don’t always know what they have or what I need. I enjoy their garden area for plants in the summertime and they have good deals on appliances. I find it easier to shop in the store than shopping online. But I think their prices are fairly reasonable and I go between Home Depot and Lowe’s for what I need

No one around to help you for one and when you do find someone they say Im not sure if they carry what you looking for. We went to two different home depots and they said they dont carry stair risers. How dum is that??

Placed an online order. Online said expected delivery date 4 days after order. Ok, No Problem. I take the day off of work to be there when the order arrives. Call around 5pm the day of delivery. After an hour on hold talk to someone. Was told the order wont be ready because they are waiting on a part. I tell them the part is being delivered to my home and no need to wait. Then Im told it will be a week from the day of original delivery. OK still doable. Day arrives and am told the deliver date will be an additional 3 days.... Ive rented equipment, 10 days after the expected delivery day, now I will have 72 hours, if their new delivery date holds.Cant stand appeasers... Give me a rude person who is honest and efficient over likable incompetence any day.Edit: Their web app does not even have a full phone number to call. tried the call now option, and got the ..can not be completed as dialed... Sure enough, only 9 digits (out of 10) made it to their app.More incompetence. But hey, they are doing their best right... that counts doesnt it? SMHNot a happy camper right now

Without being pushy, a really great store associate asked me for help, escorted me to the right area and the correct product (a lawn mower accessory), got me a cart and loaded the large heavy item, and then escorted me to the cash register and gave me a small discount as I was taking an end of season item off his hands! He was knowledgeable, and make my day with his attention to my needs! I was frustrated before I arrived and a got the item I needed and a brighter outlook because of his friendly care! Thanks!

Its a standard home depot. I wandered a bit till i found the right aisle, pondered all the choices for vinyl plank flooring and finally made my choice. Thankfully the website helped me figure out much I needed because no one offered to help. Until after i loaded 12 heavy boxes onto my cart and had already checked myself out. Thanks for having a decent website cause your store customer service sucked.

I believe the products I needed where available but there was no one working that had any experience with the work I needed to do, so I left empty-handed. I do want to give credit to the young woman in the paint department who tried her best to help.

The pro service desk was extremely helpful. They answered all my questions and was patient when things werent going smoothly on their or my end. The store was very clean, very organized, and very well stocked. Several employees asked me of I needed assistance

The people at the store are good, however I tried to pick up an online order that was being shipped to my house ( not knowing I was going to be near home depot the day after I ordered it). They told me I could not pick it up as I was having it shipped to my house, no big deal it was to arrive the next day. The next day came and still dont have my materials to finish the project. So my house looks like it should be on an episode of hoarders and there is nothing I can do about it until I get my materials. Come to find out not only is my local lumberyard cheaper on a lot of products, I will also have my stuff the same day! No more home depot for this guy.

ZERO STARS: DO NOT SHOP HOMEDEPOT!!! Poor customer service. I was told she would “deal with me” when she was ready. The product was damaged when delivered. It was late and rescheduled twice. The product did not meet minimum lawful requirements and a refund was denied currently awaiting civil action with my newly acquired lawyer.

I had some friendly help from one of the roving helpers . Nice quiet no problems and was even a nice temperature inside . Checkout was expeditious and easy peasy . Everything I needed and then some .

This summer I am rating businesses employees warring masks thats all. With covid 19 now one is immune. This place gets 1 star got a few employees not warring masks.
