I have loved this store for a couple of years now. In the last year I have been purchasing many vintage Star Wars collectibles and have spent quite a lot of money. My wife even has come with me occasionally to buy records.Today’s experience unfortunately was my last. I have had my eyes on a very expensive last 17 Amanaman for a few weeks now. One is listed for 200.00 without weapon, and the other 300.00 with weapon. I asked the clerk if the owner would consider offers. He said yes. I wanted to offer 250.00 for the one with the weapon. I asked if he would contact the owner and if I could leave my phone number. He then said that he would speak to the owner and let me know the outcome the next time I would be in. Confused on the lack of customer service, I asked what happens if the item sells in between now and the time I come back. He simply said, well then it would sell for full price. I put down the other vintage figure I was about to purchase and walked out of the door very disappointed in the experience. Will not be back. I do wish the store well and hope there may be some process improvements on the service side of things.I really did like being able to inspect these very expensive collectibles in person, but will be back online with eBay moving forward.John C

Lots of selection. Super friendly staff. I took my son there for his 12th birthday to try to give him the comic book experience I had in my youth. He really liked it and has been asking me to take him again. The cheap comics were a bit unorganized, but thats how you find gems, right?

HUGE selection of comics, manga, video games, figures, and retro pop culture memorabilia! Its all organized to make what you want easy to find. The fella I chatted with seemed to know plenty about what I was looking for and where to find it in the store, but not pushy at all. Has an awesome little spot to kick back and flip through some pages. Wish I had more time to look around. Certain to return many times.

STAY FAR AWAY! Selling Pokémon cards for triple retail price and saying “eh it’s market value”. This kind of scalper behavior is bad for the hobby.Edit: I did take my business elsewhere and paid retail value for an item I saw them trying to sell for double its worth. Seems like a good day for me, whilst Hills of Comics still has that item in the case.....

These type of stores have become rate breeds but I love these small independent shops. I was given comic books from my mothers childhood and went in to get bags and boards. The younger person working knew as little as I did but would ask who I assume was the owner. I was sold boards for one era of comics, bags for another and neither fit my comics or even each other and I told both employees exactly what comics I was trying to protect. So either this place knows nothing about comics or only cares about making sales.

Definitely a place to check out. Comic book stores are a dying breed and having one locally in Auburn makes me very happy. Hills is cool as they diversify. They sell comics, cards, used video games, movies and toys. They have reasonable prices on back issues of comics and carry new issues as well. Hills puts on gaming events for various games as well. Definitely check them out.

Great family owned comic shop. Fair prices on both collectible comics and on reading copies. They package storylines so you dont have to run around to find that one last comic to complete a story. Loads of collectibles, t-shirts and more. Great place to find a hidden treasure or a new favorite. Clearly run by fans!

Well, this place is definitely a comic book store. Kind of old school in the feel, dark almost cave-like. The employees though do not really fit the stereotype as they are helpful and accepting to anyone and everyone which was great to see. Personally I think they are trying to cater to everyone which kind of deludes the stuff they have, but if you are look for something a little bit older; comics, graphics novels, toys, games, video games or movies, this is where I would start.

I went there to sell some Magic Cards with a loose knowledge of how much they were worth. They gave me $4 for 478 cards, if you dont count the Mana cards it was 231 cards. I looked it up later and found out that a couple of my cards were worth more than the whole sum they gave me. I regret going there and will probably never go back.

I have been to this store 2 different times.the employees seemed very niceboth times i have felt that the store is way too big for what it has. about half the store is tables for games. i can say is the floor is very uneven and it could be a danger. they have products on most of the walls but most are either. too high or too far a way to see clearly. and the price tags are too small to read from distance.the magic the gathering section has a fair amount of products but physically its too small. its not well organized or priced very well.they say they have magic events. it certainly looks like they have Friday Night Magic. but there was no one there when i was therethe entire back wall of the store. is covered in plain boxes full up of who know what. it doesnt look very invitingwhen i was there the store seemed just sad. this is unfortunate because it could be so much better. with some effort.i cant see myself spending much time here.

This place makes me sad for a few reasons. Its got a great location. Its in a nice quaint shopping area. Its got nice parking. Its even large. Has a lot going for it that other game and comics stores dont.Ive been there on two different occasions. Once was little after they moved. The other was a couple of months later. The downside is they dont take advantage of that. Ive called a couple of times before events and Ive gotten bad info.On my first visit, I was greeted by a guy that was not dressed appropriately for working at a retail establishment. Ive run a game store previously for a long time (16 years) and I wouldve sent my staff home for showing up dressed like that.Their cases are displayed in an odd way. Like merchandise isnt located next to other like or themed merchandise which can make it weird or difficult to find what youre looking for.Their layout is a little odd and needs more thought. They really cant see customers or a large chunk of their merchandise the way its setup. It leads to their customers being lost int he shuffle and consequently ignored.Choices theyve made in their layout is weird. Some products people would want to see and read or behind the counter while others that are in arms reach or inconsequential. They could also benefit from some better signage and price stickers. Its a big store that should be drawing well, but it genuinely feels like not enough thought was put in.On my second visit, I also witnessed the staff ignore, or simply not aware, of a situation that was escalating between two customers. Then once it blew up, one customer that was angry and shouting said his piece and walked away, but then the lady in charge (either owner or manager), went over and threatened a customer, which is HIGHLY unacceptable.Personally, Id love to give a store like this some input to coach them up and help them be a much better store, but Im not sure theyd be willing to reach out or even care enough to make change.I imagine this review makes the store sound much worse than it is, but really this store just needs someone to walk through several small things that the ownership isnt aware of.Id also recommend they tour quality store in the greater Seattle area to see what can be done and whats working.

Excellent selection, Workers who know the product, Talkative and humorous owners who are always willing to introduce you to the right product or provide advice for your hobby. A gameroom for playing tabletop games is in the back where my group of DnD players always hangs out, they have concessions if you get peckish or thirsty while playing, and a Safeway across the street for anything they dont already provide. My only nitpick is parking. But even then you can just park at the safeway!
