In the pasted 10 years I have had all of my maintenance done on my vehicles here. They have always been honest and professional. Ive taken used cars here for pre-purchase checks where they have thoroughly gone over the vehicle to tell me if it should be purchased. Ive had tires, brakes, alignments, oil changes done here. This business has done good quality work for me. However, yesterday I was charged over $700 for ($400) parts and ($300) labor of a starter replacement. When looking up what it should cost online, it should have cost $350 total. In the past, I’ve always gotten fair prices for parts and labor, so I don’t know why they gave me a raw deal this time around.I called and asked about why the cost was so high, they said that the rust made the labor cost high (fair enough). But when I asked about parts cost, they said that they could have bought a starter for $100, but they wanted to make sure there was a warrantee. It just seems a little strange that a starter with a 2 year warrantee is $300 more than one without a warrantee. I later confirmed that a part with two year warranty could easily be found for $150 at a local auto parts store.To top it all off, when I arrived to pick up my car, they said they broke the latch for the hood and theyd fix it free of charge. After waiting for an hour, they said they needed to order a cable and theyd give me a quote for it. I decided to just take the car home and find another mechanic that I can trust.If this was my first experience with this business, itd give it a 1 star, but theyve done good work in the past, so I figured they deserve a little leeway. Its disappointing to see how this place has changed...

Fantastic experience! On a Saturday afternoon, we called Pleasant Auto Center while being stuck on the side of the road after the oil drain plug was dislodged. The woman on the phone was very sympathetic to our situation and told us to tow the car in ASAP. She said they would check out the engine and do their best to get us back on the road as soon as possible. Their team was able to get our car running, new oil, replaced drain plug and even kept it overnight to re-check it in the morning before giving it back to us. Being the holidays, we were worried about the cost of the repair and feared that the engine would be a loss, but they were completely upfront with us every step of the way and we were driving again for slightly more than the cost of an oil change. Thank you!

We fully expected a wait list due to the current Covid crisis, and instead got fast professional service. We find the staff always extends themselves to be accommodating and very pleasant from Cindy to all other employees we have met. Do not hesitate to have your vehicle serviced here. Affordable, knowledgeable and affordable is what you will find.

I took my car there for the annual vehicle inspection. The service was quite good and efficient! The waiting area had tables and comfortable chairs along with newspapers, magazines,TV and WIFI! Very nice and relaxing way to wait!Follow up to my previous review, took my car for oil change and annual vehicle inspection today, October 8, 2021. There is new ownership. Both completed in 30 minutes. Free WI FI while you wait, local newspaper, TV, but didnt inquire about changing channels. No big deal, I never expected my car to be done in 30 minutes. Thank you, I will be back.

The people that works here were super friendly. They werent able to fully fix the issue that I had but they tried and suggested another shop for me. They have 2 separate waiting areas. One is for kids which I love because I have 2 of them and need to keep them occupied while waiting. Overall I think I will be coming back here to get other work down.

Edit to my review last year, the company made up after having another vehicle fail and they were much better priced then anyone else for tire replacement and they are actually super friendly here. Initially I was wrong and I believe the mechanic who did the inspection last year was unfamiliar with older vehicles possibly but they made up for it this year, thanks for your services!

Went in yesterday (12/9/16) to get regular service (check belts, filters, and would have been oil change but Id already gotten that done so I specifically said not to do that). What I got instead was an estimate for repairs that came to $650 for, I kid you not, replacing spark plugs and two air filters. They also recommended I change (at an additional $700 cost) the tires Id had replaced less than a year ago.But on the plus side they did change the oil that I told them not to.In short, I would not recommend this company and Id suggest you look elsewhere.

Very pleasant experience yesterday. Was greeted immediately and the staff new my name and was expecting me (i made an appointment but they paid attention based on the car I drive). Friendly staff whip introduced me to other employees as well. I brought my three young kids in and they enjoyed the waiting room and kids play area while my oil was changed. There is a separate waiting/sitting area should you not want to be with children as well with a full car/convienence store area. The pricing was fair and they let me know that nothing else needed to be done or watched on my car (the last place I took my car for years and every time there was something that needed repair but when I looked further didnt actually need attention). I like that they checked but didnt push any issues unnecessarily. Will definitely be back.

Amazing local family owned auto center. I have had nothing but wonderful interactions with the entire staff and our family has been using them for years. I used them as a second opinion after my dealership suggested thousands of dollars of work. They told me what was essential and what was not needed. They have a cute sitting area and free wifi that is great for getting some work done while my car is being tended to. On a few occasions I have brought my little daughters and they have a nice little play area for them while we waited. I would recommend them in a second!

Im disappointed to say that I had high hopes for this auto shop because the location and lobby are very convenient. However, twice now over the few times Ive been there, my car left with more damage then when I took it in. This last time I went in for an oil change and got sent home with a cracked oil pan only to discover substantial oil leaking all over my driveway a few days later. When I went back in, I was told that this crack was due to normal wear and that this was typical for an Acura. I was then quoted $500 to repair the damage. I left to go to another shop (an hour away, but people I trust). My primary mechanic told me the damage was caused by careless handling of the pan during an oil change and not any normal wear. He even called Pleasant Auto to give them an opportunity to take responsibility and fix their damage. We were told, sorry, that car has 100,000 miles... these things happen during an oil change. Well, Ive driven an Acura for a decade and this is a first. I find these employees to be careless and unethical. I WILL NOT go here again and I caution you to not fall into their trap to make money.

Im giving this business 2 stars. The service was completed on time and the mechanic that brought my car out to me was very courteous, even taking the time to explain how inspection monitors work. The waiting area is lovely and comfortable with free wifi. They even have a playroom with toys if you need to bring children.Not that Id bring children into this place, not now. I sat in the waiting room and listened to the man (no names) behind the service desk spewing the most vitriolic hate I think Ive ever heard. Ranting about how the world is about to end or how minorites will probably be summarily executed. This behavior in no way belongs in a place where children may be. I gather from the things he was saying that we both voted for the same political candidate. Rather than vomiting the most bilious rhetoric at anyone that comes within earshot, I plan to work towards preserving my ideals as much as possible and HOPING our new president does a good job at governing.This isnt a real name. Due to circumstances, I happen to be forced to return there for service for the time being and this man seems petty and probably revenge-minded. Once my current issues are taken care of, I and the rest of my family will be looking for another reliable service place until this man is either replaced or reprimanded. After which, I WILL be returning because without this issue I would be awarding 5 stars to Pleasant Auto Center.

Will not go back. Must have been because Im old, they charged me for 4 headlight. Then they told me I needed other things done to the car in order to get my sticker. Did what they said, lets just say I got over charged on everything. I had another mechanic look at the bill and he told me that 😡 it was to high. I got hosed. Oh ya I only had 2 headlights.

Said my tire couldnt be fixed and tried to get me to buy a new one. Took it somewhere else and they fixed it no problem.

Terrible experience. They dont understand business and common sense. I went there to see if they could fix my exhaust leak. I was hoping they could weld it back up but they determined that was not possible which is completely fine. Where the experience went south was when they charged me $30 for checking it and determining the problem-the problem I stated when I came in ( theres a hole in my exhaust and I am looking to see if you guys could weld it up). I should of never even went into this place- what was the point? For them they had to be a leach and suck that money out of me yet they solved/offered me SQAUT. I probably should of gotten an oil change from them because I would of gotten the oil change PLUS the hey so you need a new exhaust pipe- the same result and price probably. I wonder if I had gotten the fix from them if theyd deduct the $30 fee to check it because what place charges you a check it cost plus the parts and labor cost? So my question to the business is what kind of value did I receive for my $30 because I went to a Speedee in north Attleboro and the shell down the street and they gave me estimates and checked it for free because they understand what a customer is....especially in the auto repair industry where customer loyalty is higher than most industries. Please stop being leaches. Thanks

No stars unproffesional rude service , i went in for an inspection sticker when i showed up my brake light wasnt on and as i recently checked my parking brake was working just fine. I waited for about 45 mins which is exceptionally long For an inpection and when they brought my car back they said my parking brake broken. So i pay and leave and my brake light is now on and my car wont stop beeping i cant even drive the car now and it drove just fine before i brought it in. crook mechanics. never go here

Classic crook mechanics. Weve taken our cars there for various services (oil changes/inspection stickers)-- whatever it is theyll try to upsell you on other issues. There are so many other options for service close by; do yourself a favor and do not visit this mechanic. Also, terrible WiFi and all the snacks are past due.

Dont use there service, you will get rob..they havent do the right part of my car but I have to pay for part I dont need..basically they done nothing to my car

The wait isnt long and the chairs after really comfortable. The inside is clean and it looked like they had a special area for kids. What more could you ask for?
