The repair shop broke my laptop. To make a month-and-a-half-long debacle as short as possible, I took in my laptop because the charging cord had to be positioned at precisely the right angle to charge the laptop. They ordered the wrong part twice, so I told them not to order it for a third time. When I got my laptop back from them, however, the laptop would no longer charge at all. I took it back to them along with the charging cable, and they told me it was in diagnostics for a full week. Then I got the call that theyd replaced my battery and fixed it. I had just replaced the battery myself two months prior, and would have told them that if they hadnt just started replacing parts without consulting me. I went back to get my laptop and discovered they had lost my charging cable. I dont know how they thought they had fixed my laptop when they didnt even have the cable to check if it was working properly. They sent me home with a replacement and a promise to find my original one. Shockingly, when I got home, the laptop still wasnt charging. I brought it back to them again, and after calling every other day for an update, I finally told them to just give it back and refund me the deposit Id paid for the part they never ordered correctly. They did. This time when I got my laptop, however, some of the stickers on top looked water damaged, like someone had spilled a drink on it, and were partially scratched off. There was also a new sticker from their shop notating that something had sparked. Suffice to say, when I took it to a more competent repair shop, they told me it was irreparable and at least performed a data recovery for me. I will never go here again. The kindest thing I can say is that they refunded me the deposit for their ineptitude.

Super nice, solid in store service. I had an issue with an external hard drive. I am pretty sure I just messed with the directory so the computer couldn’t find the contents. I was scared for my data and they reassured me at every step. FWIW, Black owned and operated small business. My mistake cost a little over $100 to repair. The owner did the repair in store and helped me out by putting the info back onto the same HD instead of up-charging for a new HD. He did advise that a new HD was the safer choice but the original HD did not appear to be damaged so I took the risk. Recommend for data loss repairs. I will seek their help again should i ever need it (but I hope I do not)!!

It was a great experience for a terrifying event. My phone broke and the screen was not visible at all... they were able to squeeze me in and i was gone within 2 hours... bless up... and the best quote I received

The guy with the glasses, cool as all out doors so he gets the stars. Bought an iphone x, cracked the screen went there and the older looking guy fixed it. Out of nowhere, a few weeks later, the screen popped out. Ok, take it back, same guy fixed it. Screen still had no scratch but now my front camera or facial recognition didnt work. A few weeks later,guess what, screen popped out again. Yep, I took it back. He tried to tell me I dropped the phone and that made it happen. But the phone still had not 1 scratch on it because I didnt drop it. He fixed it again. Here I am, a week later, n guess what happened? U guessed it, screen popped out AGAIN! Like I literally have to hold the side of my screen to use my phone. So imma just take it somewhere else this time. But, like I said, the guy with the glasses is as cool as a fan. 🤗

I had spent about an hour calling numerous cell phone repair shops, getting more and more discouraged with each call. As much as i love technology I am so hard handed with it..TAPEWORM ELECTRONICS have really made my life easier. They are conveniently located, they fixed all my technology from Android screens to apple screens, my ipad, surface pro 7, and even helped me to purchase durable cases for my technology. I TRULY AM THANKFULLY for meeting the owner and his soon. They keep my technology working at a great price.

Pros - Nice guy. Seemed to know what he was doing. Fixed my main issue. Cons - No feedback on progress. Always had to call to understand where they were at with my job. Weird pick up when calling, like youre calling a house or something, just hello. It took quite a long time to fix. None of this was a big deal. Big deal: Deleted all my data, even though I asked to have certain folders saved. Ill admit, my job was probably more complex than what they were used to, but was pretty surprised this happened without first confirming with me. Once data is deleted, hard to get back, obviously. Id consider going back, but not for more complex computer issues.

I never post a review for any place, but I had to take time to post this because I literally just had the best service here. I almost cried last night when I dropped my iPhone on concrete and the screen shattered to pieces. (10 foot drop protective case my a** lol) Things were looking really bad; I thought my phone was trashed. I called Tapeworms number and got a kind voice on the phone who assured me it was a quick repair. I honestly didnt think my phone could be fixed as it looked so bad, but I brought it into this shop and Vincent fixed it in under 30 minutes, and the price was super reasonable. He even put a screen protector on, and transferred my SIM card. The customer service was A-1. Im so pleased! I would definitely recommend! 😄📱

Worst experience ever with this place. I was referred here through someone trying them out for the first time as well. He kept my cellphone and tablet for 3 weeks.I went to pickup merchandise and mysteriously my phone has a network lock on it. Why is my sticker on the back of my phone peeled off where my IMEI # should be. So I will have to pay more money to bring it back! When I tried to get some understanding he starts yelling at me. I spend $130 at this place to get this type of treatment 😭😭Thanks for helping me throw money away. Could if just purchased a new phone by the time I spend $65 to fix and $50 to unlock the phone.

Went there to get my iPhone 7+ screen repaired, now my speaker isn’t working, nor the aux port, no one can hear me nor can I hear the other person on a call, the vibration for notifications is a clicking noise now. I guess they offer a lifetime warranty on their repairs because while they fix one thing, they break another. The customer service experience that I had was terrible, and that’s in terms of speaking to the OWNER of the shops. I will never be returning, and I honestly wouldn’t recommend anyone do business with this company. They destroyed my phone and now I have to take it to TPK to get it fixed properly.

Also...a 5 star review mysteriously appeared here that I didnt do... This is my edit to that review. Also, since my phone was fixed my google maps compass wont calibrate so I cant use the app while driving. I dont know if that has anything to do with the repair but it was working before I took it in for a screen repair. *edit* changed this to 3 stars. I never got the compass to work but the guy tried to fix it multiple times without charging extra. I think this phone is hard to fix and other companies outright refused to even try. I hate this thing but I guess Im stuck unless I want to shell out 600 bucks. If anything they provide good customer service.

Vincent was extremely helpful and professional with the replacement of my iPhone. I came in with a cracked screen and he replaced it in 15 min. The fingerprint ID thing wasnt working at first, so he actually just replaced it again and it works great. He also gave me a screen protector. Also, he helped me figure out a software issue that was totally my fault - not his - (I hardly ever update my phone) on top of everything else. Terrible experience. The owner was very rude. I was picking up a Wish order that he ended up not having in the store. He proceeded to tell me that Wish orders were only as a courtesy and refused to assist me with canceling my order for refund. Then while I was asking a question about the process he told me I was holding up his customers for his primary business. You should nevertreat customers in that manner.

Dropped my cell phone in water. Took it to Tapeworm two days later after sitting it in rice and still no power. They were able to repair the phone and get it working back to normal in a quick amount of time and for a reasonable price vs insurance. I would recommend and even suggest to friends and family.

I had some water damage to my iPhone 6 that a bowl of rice couldnt fix! After 3 days of Internet remedies my phone still wouldnt come on so I took it to Tapeworm repairs.Vincent was confident he could fix it and his price was cheaper then other places I had called around too. A few hours later he called to say he had got the screen on but the home button still wasnt working. He said he would continue to try and I told him I would pick it up tomorrow. 30 min later he called to say he had fixed it and I could come pick it up.My phone worked great and what a relief to have my lifeline back. By far the most affordable for a screen replacement on a Verizon Motorola Droid Turbo....I called other places and they were all $100 more! Repair was perfect.....you wouldnt even know it was a replacement! Customer service was great and phone was ready on time. Love the convenience of being able to pay online for repair as I did not have the funds until the day after I dropped off the phone and live over 30 miles away. I wont hesitate to bring any future cell phone repair needs here and have already recommended them to others! I dont feel that I even need to look elsewhere and because of the affordability and quality I am happy to drive the longer distance despite having other repair places less than 10 miles from my home.

This place it the best phone repair shop I have ever been to. And Ive been to a lot of them in the Atlanta area. They are always fast, affordable and very nice. Ive had my iPhone 5s fixed there 3 times now and will continue to use them if something happens to my 6 plus. They have tempered glass screen protectors for less than half of what they sell for at Target. And they usually run some kind of special deal on holidays. Love this place, I recommend it to all of my friends.

Took only 30 minutes to repair iPhone screen. When they were finished the right side of the screen had touch recognition issues, they took it apart again and fixed it right then. After a couple of days I realized the speaker wasnt exactly working. I took it back in and they immediately fixed it again free of charge because they guarantee their service. So he broke the back of my phone in the process of getting the front screen off, this man hands me my phone back (still) broken, looks me in my face and goes do you want a new back? There were also dead fish floating in the fish tank.

Horrible experience and customer treatment I came in after purchasing a special ahead of time talked to the owner went to the store and the guy tells me he is unable to fix my device. After talking with the owner he said oh its my fault for buying ahead of time and he sees the purchase but couldnt offer an immediate refund a after spending 30 minutes an going no where I finally decided it was best to file a claim with my bank so the funds do not go through. Trust me stay away from this location you are better of fixing your screen your self.

I should have listened to the reviews. Many of them state that the reviews are fake but i didnt believe it. Long story short it says store opens at 10am. waited a hour at the door and still no one. Since my phone was broken, I used someones phone to call. Voicemail full. beyond upset at this point (Losing out on time and money at this point). Luckily there was a professional shop down the street that cost a little more but actually fixed my phone. Will never use them again. Will probably never purchase a service groupon again either, never know what youre paying for.

Took my laptop to them because it had stopped charging. They diagnosed the problem for free (the charger was the issue) and also made a slight fix to the charging port-- also free of charge! Overall great experience. Ill be taking my laptop back here for any future issues.

I do a lot of online review searches and found this place on Google, of course. I was a little unsure of the quality of work due to the hole in the wall feel, but I came in anyway because of the good ratings. I cracked my Samsung galaxy S9 plus and needed to have it fixed before it got any worse. This was actually the second time in a year Ive cracked this phone(Shame on me) and the first time was about $400 to fix it. It was also pretty new the first time it happened. Fast forward to last week, I took it here, told them the history and they quoted me 165. What?? I proceeded since they were so quick to have the replacement and quickly available to make the repairs. Its really conveniently located near me. I shopped around for an hour and a half in eav, came back and my phone is perfectly fixed!! Quality work, all stickers still on. I would highly recommend them, so be sure to support the local establishment! Great place, and while I hope I dont come back for my phone screen - I will be sure to bring them my business for other technical repairs. Thanks Tapeworm fam!

Had an awful experience here and will never give these scammers business again.My friend brought her laptop to Tapeworm Repairs because it had stopped charging and this business had good reviews. They took it in and said they would run diagnostics and either replace the charging port or the battery depending on the results of the diagnostics (they didnt even consider checking the charger despite being offered to hold on to it). There were no updates for two weeks when they finally emailed saying it was ready and that the charging port was replaced. The clerk had to be convinced to demonstrate that the laptop could now be charged before leaving the store. When he plugged it in the issue still existed! The clerk started stammering about the system diagnostics and tried to charge $65 for the repair. Despite our better judgement he took the laptop back and said he would fix it for good. A few days passed and there was no contact from the shop, so we went to pick up the laptop repaired or not. We spoke to the supervisor on the phone to try to get our laptop back and he was instantly disrespectful and demeaning, claiming he wouldnt give us the laptop back until he was ready to for reasons totally unrelated to our laptop. The police were eventually called to help get the laptop back since they would not hand it over. When the police arrived the clerk and the supervisor began lying to the police about the situation. All the while the supervisor was holding the laptop out in the rain without trying to protect his customers property from water damage. The police officer was no help so we had no choice but to pay to get our laptop back DESPITE the laptop being in the exact same condition it had been in for over two weeks. At this point the clerk had the audacity to try to charge MORE than what was originally quoted. More arguing brought the price of the non-repair back down to $65.Long story short: Tapeworm Repairs charged us $65 to hold our laptop in their store for over two weeks without resolving the issue. At the same time the clerk and supervisor were disrespectful and rude, lied to the police, and displayed utter incompetence in their line of profession.

Horrible customer service. I took my iPhone in the get repaired and the pixelation and clarity were completely different on my phone when I got it back. I immediately called and asked the owner about it when I got home and he said “I would get used to it”. My husband has the exact same phone. When we compared the two the visual difference was huge. I went back in to see him face to face. He still seemed unconcerned and made me feel like it was my problem. Finally he said he would offer to try a new screen. I went back in and the issue was still there. On top of it my screen started freezing up multiple times. This NEVER happened before. $1000 phone down the drain! I had to go to my provider and buy a brand new phone! The damage to my screen was very minimal. Just the bottom left portion of the screen was cracked. I should have taken it to the place I usually go to. I’ve had way worse damage to previous phones and got it back in perfect condition. This experience makes be nervous to purchase services again on Groupon. Saving $40 ended up costing me $1000.

My son took me here cause they always did a good job when he broke his iPhone screen. Well I had a Samsung prime. And they had to order the part but got me done pretty quick. They are top notch.

I found this place when I needed my screen fixed on my galaxy s5. They always had great customer service. Now I have an iphone 6s+ and I still continue to come here for all of my screen protectors and phone cases. They have a good selection to choose from and whatever they dont have, let them know and they will order it! And you can pick it up in a couple of days. Definitely would reccomend going here, not just for repair needs, but also for any accessory you need with your phone. Great place!

This guy is extremely unprofessional and a flat out bad business man. I took my cracked 5s to him and he fixed it worked fine for a few days and then it didnt. The screen completely stopped working in the middle and he REFUSED TO PUT A NEW SCREEN ON. I paid 70 bucks for this repair. And theres nothing he can do about it??? This guy is a joke and I dont recommend anyone ever going to this guy. Horrible overall experience. I will also be copying this review on to the EAV buzz which is our community blog here in east Atlanta.

I came in with a groupon to fix my iphone 6s plus. I was literally in and out in less than 30 minutes. My phone looked brand new again. They were very nice and professional and pricing seemed affordable even if you dont have a groupon. I would definitely come again to fix my phone. Parking was not directly in front of the store, but there is ample parking that surrounds it.

They gave themselves a fake 5 star review using my phone when they repaired it. If they do this with all their customers that explains why the ratings are so high. Now Im wondering what other personal information on my phone was tampered with. Beware!
