I just stopped in today knowing exactly what I wanted. I bought a whole bunch of ammo. This store may be small but don’t let the size fool you. They keep the shelves stocked and selection vast!Upon entering you’re overcome by this cabin outdoorsy feeing of assorted taxidermy and a plethora of wall to wall long guns, stocked handguns & knives, not to mention everything else you wish u had.This is my second time in the store and every visit, I’m greeted upon entering. It’s a nice feeling knowing you’re welcome. Michael... helped me with finding the right ammo & checked out my purchase. Other employees also seemed very attentive asking if I needed help and assisting other customers.They have it all here and keep me returning when headed north. Stop on in, you won’t regret it. 👍👍😁🇺🇸

My wife and I went into this store just to look around. My wife end up purchasing me a S&W M&P 9mm with the Caa Mck conversion kit with the sig red dot scope for my birthday. The prices are very good and everyone was nice and very helpful also.

Went in today to look at their knife selection. They definitely have the biggest selection of knives around this area. Their Florence store (called St. Nicks Knives) also has a really good selection. I was helped by Noah. He was extremely kind and helpful. He knew his blade steels, didnt make me feel rushed, was really glad to show me anything I wanted to see and had a great retail personality. Ive worked in retail management all my adult career. The personality of the salesman, and their willingness to show me products without making me feel like a hinderance are the two things I really look for in a retail store. This store delivered. I also spoke with two other employees briefly (an older gentleman with a fantastic beard and a younger girl). Both of them were kind and attentive. Their prices are a little high compared to online prices (specifically BladeHQ) but they DO price match, and they dont make a big deal out of doing it like some stores in Florence/Huntsville do. Overall this seems like a fantastic store and I will be back once Ive decided on which model knife I want to buy. When you are able to make the customer WANT to buy from your store instead of ordering online then youve done your job as a retail associate. These guy definitely did it. My only suggestion would be to try and pick up a bit larger selection of Microtechs. Although I know these are often hard to find in stock, and I dont know how well they sell in Athens Alabama. Pros- excellent firearms selection. Guns are loaded wall to wall.- most ammo kept in stock- hunting gear is in good supply- awesome owner that genuinely cares about his storeCons- you can only buy one box of ammo at a time- layaway system seems complicated as it take a while to do anything- small store feels crowded with minimal customers in the store.

Excellent store!! Super friendly staff, nice selection of new firearms and knives. monthly raffle drawings. Wide selection of items and accessories that other stores do not carry for firearms. Impressive!!

Store has a lot of inventory, which is good and bad. Everything about the inside makes you feel claustrophobic. As for the staff, they are friendly, but some could be more knowledgable.

I have been to Timber a couple of times now and have always been treated very well, they have a very good selection of guns and knives. I found their prices as good or better than other places in the area so I purchased my hellcat from them and they made the purchase easy and fast. Everyone in Athens needs to stop by and browse and give this store support.

Getting a home defense rifle was on my priority list and WTO had a good selection of what I was looking for.. Their prices are competitive and they have a honest staff. From knives to hunting scents this little place is loaded with cool man stuff. Will be backto shop there again soon.
