If you are looking for 1911 work in the area, take your pistol to Lynn. Amazing work. Lynn takes the time to explain what he plans to do before you leave. Any changes to the plan, and he contacts you immediately. I wouldnt hesitate to take any of my firearms to Lynn and appreciate the attention to detail that he has. I wish I could leave 6 stars.

I wanted to modify a Ruger a MK II 50th Anniversary pistol but finding a gunsmith that could see my vision for the modification and that was competent to perform quality machining and truly be involved with the mod was difficult to find until a buddy of mine introduced me to L&L Gunsmithing. Lynn took time to think about the work before starting on it, like making disassembly of the action to barrel easier by making the space between the rail on the action to the rail on the barrel exactly one Picatinny notch. Note the original rails are black with the finished rails being a burgundy color, he knew of a treatment plant for reworking the rails, great job. {so of course I am not able to add the photos I want to so it might take a second post}

I do not honestly know where to begin with this review. So for starters, if I ever find another Gun Smith that does the same level and quality of work that Lynn does. I wouldnt know what to do with myself. I found Lynn on a chance and made the drive, (highly recommend making an appointment.) However, Lynn took care of me anyways; this was my first time ever making any modifications on my pistol. Lynn was more than kind and professional, he walked me through every step of the process of what he does. How long it would take, and even gave me a few different ideas to think about. But what stood out to me most of all, was his honesty, which is something that doesnt feel that common anymore now when it comes to sales.Lynn was honest with his prices, which seemed very fair to me, heck I even tipped him at the end of it because his work was that good! Hell tell you what he can do, (which is a lot by the way.) What he cant do, and the things he cant, he will help find a solution for you and put you on the right track. But I swear theres nothing that you can break that he CANNOT FIX. My only complaint, which honestly is more of a testament to his work. Is that his wait times are a little long. But thats only because so many people come to him! I will say however, that once he starts working on your firearm, he works on it. He will not leave you hanging. Even so, he ended up finishing my Glock 3 weeks ahead of schedule.All of his work is certified, he guarantees everything that he does, and his last words to me were, if youre not happy, Im not happy. I will absolutely be coming back with a few more things that I want to do with a few of my other guns. Thanks Lynn!

I have been searching for a Gunsmith, and Lynn is my guy to go! I can not say enough more about Lynn. I am a Deaf consumer, and he treated me extremely equal with courteous. He communicated very effectively via text and email. His shop is very sharp clean, and he is very professional. I also find Lynn very honest and the 30-06 Browning Bar I had was very old, and he made it shooting like new! I highly recommend Lynn because of his character and the skills as a true gunsmith and excellent businessman.I wish I had before/after picture of the rifle because words does not describe enough to show my appreciate for his work.

Lynn of L&L Gunsmithing was outstanding to work with! I had a 113 year old Colt revolver which needed a lot of mechanical work. Plus, I had some custom modifications to it I wanted to do. Lynn talked me through the scope, time and estimated cost of the project before I ever sent him the gun. Once I did send it, Lynn quickly formalized the cost and time estimate. Besides repair and custom work being performed by Lynn, he coordinated outside services for engraving and bluing too. At each step of the project, Lynn provided me with photos and updates so I could see the progress being made and provide feedback. The project was a complete success. The gun turned out beautifully and on budget. Modifications, engraving and bluing were all first class. The gun now functions perfectly with his repair work. I could not be more pleased with his work and customer service.

Extremely knowledgeable and professional, took the time to explain what needs to be done and how hes going to do it. Restored a beloved rifle I’ve had for over 40 years back to hunting condition. My latest project was a custom 1911 that from the shop was non functional after several times dealing with the custom shop and I’d given up and locked it in the safe. Best gunsmith I have ever encountered. I had an eliso tube gun that was having problems. I got a through oral review of what he was going to do and followups on the problems he found and cured. I now have a half MOA rifle. In addition he is friendly and easy to talk to and will listen.

I came across Mr. Lynn after calling many other places and being turned down. In our first conversation he seemed to be a good person and he was the same way in person. I liked the fact that he made himself responsible for ordering the correct parts to complete my hand guard installation. He finished the job quickly once all of the parts were in. Another thing I like about him was he kept me in the loop with everything he was doing to my rifle. Everything turned out better than I expected. I will definitely be doing business with him in the future.

Lynn at L&L Gunsmithing brought my Firestar .40 Cal back to better than new condition. This pistol was urinated on by a cat, completely rusted, and broken, and look at her now! This is first class work!

To begin, I am 75 years old and have been shooting since I was three sitting on my father’s knee taking rabbits with a .22 single shot Stevens Favorite rifle for our dinner. I have had a great deal of work done by gunsmiths over these many years and only twice found gunsmiths with the ethics of the owner/operator of L&L Gunsmithing LLC. I would like to say how grateful I am for Lynn ’s splendid service. Having owned and operated my own service business in the private sector the jobs that come in the door sideways always stick in your mind. Especially when you end up with a good customer that is forever grateful. That customer would be me in this case and Lynn Ryle is the very best gunsmith in my experience. Detail oriented, honest in his claims and backs his work. The finished project of re-chambering and all that needs be done because of that on a non standard M-1 Garand T-26 chambered in 308 Winchester by Lynn is a masterpiece. The rifle is the envy of the AR guys at the range. He will always be my choice for future projects even though he is 2,000 miles from my home here in California.
