Called to try to order flooring I know they carry. Was told they would call me back but never heard from anyone. Physically went into the store to try again, picked flooring out and once I did they quickly ushered me out of the store telling me they would call me back after they check stock. Again - never heard from anyone. A little communication goes a long way. Not sure how these guys are in business with Home Depot across the street - they were more than willing to communicate with me and ultimately where I bought from.

I had shopped via the internet my local stores for area rugs. I found a large selection but prices outside my budget. When I expanded my search, Carpet Exchange had a huge selection within my budget.I found a great pattern but I was concerned about the design. I called the store and got the sales assistance I needed and purchased the area rug.It was shipped to my home in San Diego Diego. I got a few calls from them to keep me informed on delivery as well as cleaning advice.Very happy and satisfied customer.

The purchase process and the actual carpet installation were very good. However, the two men who installed my carpet left my house a mess. There was carpet dust everywhere. If I had known they were going to sweep everything off the second floor to the first floor - without covering anything, I would have taken the time to cover my furniture and floors. Im not sure why a vacuum wasnt used. I spent 2 days cleaning everything. I find it inexcusable that they did not cover anything, did not vacuum or made any attempt to clean up.

I have been extremely happy with the service at the Arvada store. Chris P. Has given me excellent service since October. I found Carpet Exchange online, after a long search for a few hundred square feet of discontinued laminate that I needed to finish my house. Jeremiah at the Arvada location helped me purchase the flooring I needed and get it shipped to North Dakota, from where I arranged shipping to my home in Canada. I had almost given up on finding this flooring, and now its here! Even with all the shipping costs, I still paid less per square foot than I did when I bought it for the first section of my house. Very happy with the product and the service I received.

We hope the C.E.O. and the top management read this review. It is truthful and this is how it occurred. My wife and I purchased an entire house of carpet from Carpet Exchange in April of 2018. We had been pleased with purchase for some time. But eventually, we noticed that at least 4 major carpet seams in very visible areas started to show lifting at the seam, thus creating a raised ridge along those seams. The look of it became most annoying, and we decided to notify Carpet Exchange about the problem, and we found out that Carpet Exchange advertises a lifetime warranty on installation and labor. At first, my wife and I were relieved that because of this warranty, our $11,000 investment was going to be taken care of and handled to our satisfaction. Well, this is where our negative review begins. We called the store and got in touch with the store manager, Jason Homer. He seemed eager to help us, and he had one of his professional contract installers come over to our house and inspect the problem. He seemed to be very expert, and he examined the seams very closely. The installer definitely saw our problem with those 4 seams, and told us that by redoing those seams over again, that there would be a great possibility of making it even worse. So the installer told us that he would give Jason Homer a full report on this situation. Next, Jason decided that he wanted to hire a professional carpet and flooring inspector, Advanced Flooring Inspections, to come over our house and do a professional inspection as per the manufacturers warranty. Well, my wife and I thought that sounds reasonable. So a gentleman came to our house and his name was Brad Oliver. He told us that he had been doing flooring inspections for 15 years or so. Brad very carefully inspected the 4 seams, and seemed to agree that they were raised from the rest of the surrounding carpet, and Brad took numerous pictures of the seams, and he seemed to be very sympathetic but he could not make any promises. He also did not offer any solutions to the problem, which we found a bit strange considering his long time experience in the flooring field. He told us that his company would issue a report to Carpet Exchange. Eventually, Jason Homer, the store manager, called and told us he wanted the next step to be to have a professional cleaning company come to our house and try to steam over the 4 raised seams in question, and hopefully that would take care of the problem. My wife and I thought this was a bit unusual, but we were trusting Jason Homer, in that he is in the business, and being a store manager, he must know best. So the carpet cleaning company came over and the gentleman looked over the problem 4 seams, and he definitely acknowledged that the seams were raised, and he would try his best. It must be noted here that many other carpet seams in our carpet are perfectly done, and it is only these 4 seams that have shown significant raising over time. Well, after the gentleman steamed the first two seams, and gave them very careful inspection, he stopped doing the steaming and admitted that it was not doing any good. He decided not to try the other two raised seams, saying it wasnt doing any good. He told us that he would report to Carpet Exchange the results. Now this is where Carpet Exchange, and especially Jason Homer really upset us. Jason Homer called me after hearing from the carpet cleaning company, and told us that there DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE ANY PROBLEM WITH OUR RAISED SEAMS and that Carpet Exchange will not do anything further, and there IS NO WARRANTY issue in his opinion. After all this time wasted, my wife and I were so upset. If there wasnt any problem with our raised seams, we would have NEVER complained in the first place. Jason Homer put us through enormous inconvenience, wasting our time with appointments, and allowing 3 different people into our home (during this Covid time) and then telling us sorry. We feel very strongly that Carpet Exchange DOES NOT SUPPORT THE LIFETIME WARRANTY ON INSTALLATION that they promote.

Let me start off by saying that Andrea, Jose and Sergio are amazing! My husband and I got quotes from 5 different flooring companies in regards to replacing carpet in our home before listing to sell. Carpet Exchange was the 1st company we worked with and quite frankly we should have just stopped there. Not only did they come in hundreds of dollars below the closest quote from competitors, it was completely hassle free. Andrea came at a time that was convenient for me to do measurements. She was efficient and polite. She later called me with a couple of options and prices and was never pushy at all. I never felt obligated to buy today or lose this great price (a tactic used by a competitor... who called the next day to lower their offer... still coming in hundreds over Andreas quote).I probably called her at her office 3 separate times to ask a million more questions. She was always patient and courteous and never seemed inconvenienced. When my husband and I were finally ready to schedule and install, she worked with both of our schedules and helped us find the perfect date.Jose and Sergio (our amazing installers) were insanely efficient. They were fast, skilled, and didnt mind out 2 year old sons craziness the whole time. There are a lot of projects I am willing to take on DIY. But the amount of work that these 2 installers put in… I could never even imagine trying myself. (It was like magic watching them blend one piece into the next and create seams at doorways). I am still baffled at how quickly they got the work done and how top notch the quality is. They went above and beyond and I just could not believe the service! The carpet looks AMAZING. Id recommend them to anyone!

We purchased $10k worth of looped carpet. Communication and service was great up until the day it was installed. It appeared to be a combination of poor quality/defected carpet and a horrible installation job. There are cut loops and runs everywhere. The edges were not sealed, which is extremely important for berber/looped carpet. Additionally, the seams are very clearly visible & frayed, sections were loose and bulging out, edges not tucked under the baseboard/stair caps, and a few large discolorations. They came out the next day to make repairs which helped a little, but didnt come close to fixing everything. The manager came to look at it and recommended we wait 1-2 weeks before the installers come back in case we notice more issues in the meantime. At that point she also informed us that the lifetime installation guarantee doesnt apply to the carpet we have (berber), and instead, it only has a 1-year guarantee. How convenient is that. This is the first time we heard this, and even on their website it says On ANY residential carpeting we install for you, we guarantee that installation for the lifetime of the flooring–as defined by that individual manufacturers warranty. Were realizing that it doesnt matter if its a 1-year or Lifetime guarantee because either way they wont honor it as theyve ignored our requests to come back out and fix the issues. Our situation has escalated to the point of requesting Carpet Exchange to submit a claim for the 30-day manufacturers warranty. Unfortunately we have to go through Carpet Exchange for this, instead of directly to the manufacturer, and were worried well miss the window since they really dont seem to be in a rush or care at all about helping us at this point.

They did make it the next day which was good and the installer did a good job. I did ask for a discount and I did receive one ( very small) for having to take the day off work to only find nobody was coming. However, the installer put a Tack strip on the edge of a stair tread. So now you can easily feel the tacks on your feet when stepping on the stair. When we phoned CE they called back and leaving a voicemail to just take a hammer and pound down all the tacks so we dont feel them anymore. I didnt know that was my job to get out a hammer and start pounding down tacks. Bummed that they couldnt send the guy back out to remove the tack strip all together in this area and instead put the work on us.

The alleged professional installer just left my home. He was here for 11 hours installing 12 stair treads. Somehow he managed to get tongue and groove product out of plain. The boards next to each other on the same step are not even. There was a lot of use of putty in the ill-fitting joints. There is a mouse hole at the top of the stairs which will require additional work. The biggest problem is that he cut off the bottom newel posts for the bannister. I now have two amputated blocks of wood at the bottom of the stairs and no way to attach a bannister. The butchered mess he left me with will take hours to resolve along with additional material which would not have been needed to be repurchased. He could have spent much less time notching around the newel posts and finished hours earlier. I have seen better work from high school freshmen with a half a semester of wood shop. I am greatly surprised this alleged craftsman still has all ten digits on his hands. He managed to dislodge the nails securing the drywall ceiling in the room below. He also knocked three recessed lights from their moorings. Both annoying but easy repairs. The hack who was here forever today isnt a good tool carrier for a decent flooring installer.I have zero faith the job will be corrected. I dont have the time or patience to stand around for another 11 hours watching pure incompetence.I will never buy anything from, nor have Carpet Exchange install anything on the property ever again.

We are prepping my husbands condo for sale and just needed it to be refreshed. Once we entered the sore a woman by the name of Rebecca greeted us. I will start by saying that being jumped on or vultured is one of my pet peeves when shopping. Greet me point me in the right direction and check on me prior to leave. I will seek out help if I needed. She pointed us in the direction of what we requested and then did not leave us. We would ask her questions that she would have to look up at her computer just to have some space. We probably spent 45 minutes shopping before being so annoyed by her that we just picked something so we could get away from her. We went to the hardware stores next and once we started picking out paint and counter tops and such we decided we wanted a carpet sample. We went back to request one and she refused to give me a 5x5 sample stating she gets in trouble for doing that. I clarified with her that she was refusing to give me a sample of the carpet we purchased. She was ‘nice’ enough to inform me that we didn’t officially purchase the carpet as nothing had been measured by their installers. I told her that her refusal may impact our official purchase. She said nothing. About an hour later she then called my husband saying she would mail us a sample because she noticed I was not pleased. The sample she sent can be used as an doorway entry mat. Ridiculous. After measuring and officially purchasing she called my husband and started settling up installation dates. She gave 2 options and informed my husband that she would call back with an official date. She never called. A week later I called and spoke to Jason to find out about installation. We had found out that she had picked a date for us but never confirmed with us. I had to use a vacation day at work because again we needed to put the condo on the market ASAP. If she had confirmed a date my husband would have been able to do this saving me a vacation day. Today my mother in law asked us to take her over so she could get carpet. It was literally the same ridiculous experience to start. I would have asked for a different employee but she was the only one in the store.

We went to at least 10 other places looking for the right flooring. We walked in and talked with the sales rep and he took us to the exact flooring. He wrote up the contract that day. We signed the contract a couple of days later. Fast forward almost a month later and we were ready for the install. Called the store the day were were scheduled to have our flooring installed and was told by Andrea that we hadnt paid our full contract. We had the money when we signed the contract and paid the 1/2 fee and no one ever said it had to be paid for before they would install even though we dealt with Andrea on this. So, I gave my credit card. Andrea said that the flooring had been picked up by the contractors and would be at our place by 10:00. 10:00 came and went and I called. I was told that they were there. I told Andrea no they were not or I wouldnt have called. Andrea called me back and said that they would have someone there by 2:00. Great two man crew showed up and worked for a couple of hours. New crew showed up the next day and finished the floors. Then, that night the floor in the bathroom buckled. We called the next day 10/16 and told them that we needed the crew to come back and fix it. We wait until Friday then both my husband and I called and left messages. I found the number of the floor installer and it took until the following Tuesday to get the floor fixed. We love our floors and the crew did an amazing job. I am dropping this down to 4 stars because Desmond our original sales person never contacted us. Also because Andrea kept saying it was all Desmonds fault when we had dealt with her after our initial encounter with Desmond and she was the one that we signed the contract with and she is the one who took our money.

Took the carpet peice back and barley got a refund.(even though it was there error) Keep in mind every thing in the room we are carpeting is in my front room and our carpet person is on hold waiting for a correct size peice to install. We were advised to go to the Denver store to get a peice that is correct. It took us 30 minutes to get to the store from Broomfield and another 30 to 45 minutes to locate a peice we liked and the correct size just to be told we could not take it home because it was Sunday and they do not have a warehouse person on Sunday. Biggest run around ever. We went to a different carpet place on Broadway and found the perfect peice that was marked with the correct size for half the price (better carpet also). It was a challenge to pick a rating which would fairly score carpet exchange. The rating has two stars because, after searching for weeks, we ultimately found our back splash here. However, it is missing three stars due to our experience with them. (see below)The day we found our tile we were greeted by a nice worker. Not long after another man took over, in what looked like, an effort to take over the sale. We continued browsing on our own until we discovered [the] back splash. We took the mysterious sample to the front where we were assisted by the store manager. The store manager looked up the tile and provided us with the item information. We used this information to later place the order over the phone. We were instructed that the order may take about two weeks to arrive and that wed receive a call back when it was ready for pickup. After four weeks had passed I called and asked about the order. The lady reported that the tile had arrived and had been sitting at the warehouse. It was confusing as to why they never called or made any effort to convey this information. We took down the warehouse information and after work we fought traffic to beat the warehouses 5:30 closing time. We then waited at the warehouses gate for about an hour as people started telling us they are having hard time finding our order. At about 6:30pm they brought out our order comprised of (4) boxes. Once we arrived home we examined the tile and became suspicious that the color was not right. We then ordered a sample, of what we thought we had seen in the store, from the manufacture and it matched what was in the store. This confirmed that what we were instructed to order was incorrect. A pleasant lady, Peg (not to be confused with the store manager), listened as we explained our situation. She was very helpful in knowing how to proceed. Afterwards I called the manager and a replacement order was made. We were told they would let us know when the order is in. Three weeks passed and no call. Sure enough the order was at the warehouse ready for pickup. Confused as to the communication breakdown; I inquired and was instructed that it was someone elses responsibility. The next day we took off early from work, fought traffic again, and drove an hour to make it before the warehouse closed. Once we arrived, the nice ladies in the office spent 20 minutes trying to coax the system to spit out the order paperwork. We then waited for another hour at the loading gate before we were met by the warehouse manager and told that they could not locate our order. He said he would call us the next day with more information, a call I never received. At about 7:30, we left the warehouse. I was upset not only because we had now wasted about 6 hours trying to receive the right order but also because we left empty handed. The next day I called carpet exchange back and spoke with the manager. They couldnt locate the replacement order. I asked about compensation for all the time and effort put into receiving the product and was initially met with resistance followed by her saying that she would speak with their customer service to see what could be done. (we never received any form of compensation, Ill update this review if we do and bump it up a star). I then asked if instead of the (4) 1x1 30lb boxes being delivered to their warehouse, if they could deliver them to the store. She stated that she wasnt sure if the girls could lift the boxes. I then suggested that I would be the one carrying them to our vehicle and she said she would try to have them delivered to the store. Another couple weeks passed before Peg called with good news that our order had arrived. We knew we had previously enjoyed working with Peg and therefor headed over as soon as we could. She was very helpful and assisted us in verifying that what arrived was in fact correct. Two months later we are ready to finish our kitchen.I dont think I could recommend using this carpet exchange to anyone, but we did like Peg.

From my experience Carpet Exchange cannot be trusted with hardwood floor installations. When shopping for hardwood floors I explained that it was mandatory that we be moved into our new home by the end of may because our lease at our rental home was expiring. The new home was empty for all of May while repairs were being made. I selected Carpet Exchange to install the wood floors only after they repeatedly assured me that the installation would be completed in time to move in. I initially discussed the project with them on May 4th at the Arvada location. I paid a deposit on May, 10, 2013 by credit card and was again assured that installation would be complete in time to move in. The installation of the hardwood floors did not begin until May 28th. We were not able to walk on our floors until Sunday June 2nd. My family and pets had no where to go while the work was being performed. I had movers arranged for May 28th. I could not move anything into the home. Everything had to go into the garage. I had to pay movers a second time to move my possessions from the Garage to the house once we could walk on the floors. I cannot tell you how stressful the situation was. The job is still unfinished as of this date. Several air vent covers do not fit into the new wood floors. When I contacted the sales rep to in hopes expedite the job and recoup some of the added expense from moving that Carpet Exchange was directly responsible for they were unsympathetic, I was told buyer be ware. You should be wary of purchasing any products or installation services from Carpet Exchange.
