Friendly people and quality spices. I am absolutely in love with the Penzeys Revolution spice mix. I use it on my potatoes and my roasted cauliflower.

My first experience with this company! I went to the Arlington Mass store... They have no contact service so I ordered online and got a call that my order was ready! I set up a time but was a bit early and honestly the gentleman I spoke to couldn’t be sweeter! I got my package and the spices look and smell amazing!!! I am reading other reviews of what people like and am quite sure this is going to be my new addiction!!! I’m also buying holiday gifts here for sure!! I can’t wait to use my spices!! Come for the politics. Stay for the cinnamon. I had never heard of these people until they took a strong stand in the 2020 campaign. Since Trumps supporters were calling for a boycott, I figured Id order some. We started witht the cinnamon, since thats what we use most of. It is much better than McCormicks. Weve subsequently expanded to many others, including revolution, which goes very well on many savory dishes. This stuff is so good I would even buy it if they were Republicans!

Penzeys makes me so happy. The variety, the smell of quality spices and spice blends, herbs and cocoa along with a comfortable, inviting space and very helpful people make this worth our 40 minute biannual drive. We discovered Penzeys in Minneapolis. The Arlington store is a great addition to the chain.

Great place to get spices. The large tester jars have explainations of the different uses, flavors, and regions for each product. Its organized and smells nice. I really like their toasted onion powder and freeze dried spice options. Its also great to have so many varieties of cinnamon, chillies, and peppercorns.

They let you smell every single spice they sell BEFORE you buy. It is amazing and their blends are so flavorful that we will be returning for more varieties throughout the year.

Ordered from Penzeys for years before this store opened. It is nice to have a location I can drive to. Helpful service. Penzeys spices are really superior in freshness and quality. The only negative I can think of is that prices used to be even lower than supermarket spice prices but over the last decade they have become a bit higher.

Penzeys is easy to locate on Massachusetts Avenue in Arlington with quick access to route 2 and 128. The store is filled with fresh spices and herbs for both the cook and baker. They carry all the traditional spices plus spices little known/used by the home cook. The store is well worth the trip to see, smell and purchase spices and herbs.

Though a little pricey, the quality their spices is high. Its a good value! They have a wide variety of spices, and they even have gift boxes. The staff is very helpful and very friendly. The smell inside of the place is wonderful. It makes you want to return!

Big spice shop with lots of good stuff. Its a Wisconsin (I think) based chain, and the overall flavor of the spices reflect that. That being said, you can find a lot of different stuff here. For instance, you can find several types of dried chiles here, some Indian spice mixes, and lots of herb mixes. There is a parking lot, but keep a close eye out as you drive here because the building is not flashy.

This is an awesome shop if you like to cook and eat great tasting food. They have multiple varieties of the same spice. They have jars of all their spices that you can open and smell. I found it challenging to leave without spending WAY more than I wanted. If youre searching for something elusive or just high quality, Penzeys it where its at.

A must for the chef, or the want to be chef like me. Using fresh spices like the ones found here makes a HUGE difference in the outcome of your dishes, which is something that I have paid much attention to in the past. I highly recommended their taco seasoning... There are few available out there without preservatives and too much salt. This one takes the price for flavor and if you want to lick up the spice, try the bold taco seasoning.

Great products with many choices. Better than buying online because you can smell the seasoning and decide which cinnamon or Ginger or herb blend you are going to purchase. Of course I usually compromise by getting 2 small jars of different types.

They have the best spices you can buy, especially the Vietnamese cinnamon and the baking spice! Put a little of the latter into all of your baked goods, and no one will be able to replicate them.

I order most of my spices online, and I wouldnt shop anywhere other than Penzeys. Every order comes in promptly, well packaged and just what I ordered. They always include a little bonus of some interesting spice. Like I said I wouldnt go anywhere else.

Penzeys seems to have literally all the spices you would ever need! The hot chocolate mix is out of this world, I always have some on hand. The staff are very knowledgeable, and friendly. During the lockdown, they were extremely efficient, and a kind with the curbside pickup. Always top notch!

The Penzys store was an Old World kind of place—as I think it needs to be. The decor was classic and elegant, the arrangement open and sensible, and all the products were easily sampleable. Staff were present and available, but did not impose. The selection was broad, but not overwhelming, and everything we well-labeled, with information and suggestions for use.

There is no place better to purchase spices. All spices have containers open to smell. There in some cases multiple types of the same spice (e.g. 3-4 types of cinnamon)
