We brought my engagement ring in April through Paul. Absolutely amazing service and the best quality guaranteed! Our initial visit consisted of a thorough walked through regarding all the details of diamond (the 4 Cs -etc) and showed us what they would look like for different sizes. Absolutely fantastic experience. When planning to buy an engagement ring, I did a lot of research but was stunned when I saw the sheer number of 5 star reviews Ascot received over a number of different platforms, so I asked to schedule a meeting. My experience lived up to and exceeded all of the glowing reviews I saw here and elsewhere. When I sat down with Paul to discuss diamonds and settings, the first thing he did was give me an incredibly comprehensive education on diamonds. Before showing me anything, Paul wanted me to know what I was looking at and have the ability to evaluate for myself. As I did not know a whole lot about diamonds, I greatly appreciated this. Not only helping me understand what I am looking at, but the professionalism and experience demonstrated. The atmosphere in the office is very intimate, which was much appreciated compared to the showrooms with other jewelers. My fiancé and I used Ascot diamonds to custom design a ring to fit my grandmothers diamond. Madison and the entire team at Ascot were fantastic. We both went in to look at rings and to discuss ideas because I had found a design I loved and wanted to find a way to recreate it and incorporate my heirloom stone. Madison answered all of our questions and gave us items to think about. After discussing our options, we both decided Ascot was who we wanted to work with to create our perfect engagement ring. I went by on my own to drop off my family stone and Madison worked with me to be able to drop it off quickly and easily. The CAD she sent over incorporated the original design and the changes we discussed and it was perfect. She was responsive to our emails and made me feel at ease. My partner found them easy to work with on payment and picking up the finished ring was also a breeze. I chose not to look at the finished product because I wanted to be surprised. I found ascot jewelers after another jeweler botched a family heirloom piece I was having resized, so I was paranoid about anyone touching it, but the professionals at Ascot Diamonds immediately put my mind at ease. Exceptional experience at every turn! I worked with Tim and he was personable and patient throughout the whole process, and really informative. I went into the first session with two friends (my best friend and my girlfriends sister) and he talked us through everything we needed to know for *2hrs straight*. He made a note of all my requirements for the stone and found a few options that were exactly what I was looking for. Selecting the one was done in just one setting. My friend recommended I check out Ascot Diamonds. At the time, I wasnt very pressed to find another jeweler because I thought I found the two best places in the DC and Virginia area after doing extensive research. I thought, it doesnt hurt to check another place out though, so I gave them a shot. I had good quotes from the two other places before sitting down with Paul. I explained what I was looking for and after a brief chat and understanding of what I was looking for he promised he could top the quotes I had. How can one argue with that? Sure enough, he delivered on his promise and found a great diamond with the perfect mount, all for the best price I saw in the hunt.Not only did Paul find me a perfect diamond and mount to match but he also helped me out of a bind. I was supposed to close on a house, then buy the ring the day after, then go on vacation to propose. Unfortunately and dramatically, we were not able to close on the original day we planned and delayed closing for when we returned from our vacation. The problem was I needed to buy the ring after we closed on the home since I couldnt make any major purchases with a pending home loan. Since the closing was delayed and I couldnt make any major purchases before the deal through, I thought that I wouldnt be able to get the ring and propose on vacation as I planned. I called Paul, explained the situation and he calmly explained a solution. Problem solved! I was still able to buy the ring and propose on vacation as planned. The ring is a family heirloom and it is clear they were very careful with it.Tim was very friendly and helpful and even stayed past closing to look over the ring with me since I couldnt get out of work early.I even came back to Ascot to have them give me an appraisal on the ring so I could get it insured.These guys are the best!

Ask for Tim! We visited Ascot Diamonds a week ago and the experience was far more than I was expecting. Without an appointment and on a holiday, Tim spent nearly 2.5 hours educating us on the 4cs (cut, clarity, carat weight and color) of diamonds. We learned A LOT to say the least. I had an amazing experience with my visit to Ascot Diamonds today. I needed a battery for my diamond watch so I did a search for jewelers near my Ballston location. And found Ascot so I called and walked over to their office. The master jeweler was so professional. He changed my battery and pressurized my watch and cleaned it while I sat in his office watching him work. I was really impressed with how much detail and care that he took with my piece. So that when I left the diamonds were sparkling. I have other diamond jewelry and plan on making Ascot my new home for all repairs and cleaning. I would highly recommend Ascot and look forward to doing more business with them in the near future.

I cant say enough good things about my experience buying an engagement ring with Tim at Ascot. In our first meeting he took the time to walk me through the 4 Cs and show me examples side by side so that I could really get a sense of where I wanted to go with the diamond.
