Kevin was very professional taking care of my Honda Odyssey. He checked my tires and did an oil change. He also found my windshield washer cap laying in my engine from a previous visit from my local Honda dealer from some warranty work. Thank you for taking such good care. I came here after buying a car to have the mechanic do an inspection. Inspection was the rear brakes were very bad, metal on metal. They were very professional, caring, and knowledgeable. They showed me exactly what was wrong. They were quick to get the parts and brakes replaced. Very friendly, and made me feel welcome. Would recommend to allow friends.

At the emissions testing I was told to have the DLC Connector tightened. Kevin the manager let me come right over and did it in 2 min free of charge. He was professional and friendly as well. Also gave me help / advise with another issue the car is having. Great place to go for car work!

My Car battery (Honda CRV 2018) suddenly died overnight in a parking garage. The next morning I picked up a new battery from CarX. The Manager Kevin Skieriewicz. did not have the battery in stock but ordered one and had it for me by the time I finished my morning workout at PF. When replacing the battery I had no way to keep the autos electronic systems active. The Replacement battery worked fine but all of the autos electroni saftey systems needed to be reset, including the the radio. Upon driving to return the old battery all systems suddenly reset by thermselves. Kevin recheck all of the diagnostis on the vehicle and test drove it for a complete saftey check, at no charge. Thank you Kevin, it was a pleasure doing business with you.

I went into Car-X for the first time because my front shield had been dragging. Kevin was so helpful, and was able to get to my car within 30 minutes, and within 15 minutes he was able to pin it back up temporarily even though it needed to be replaced. Kevin was so kind, honest, professional, and helpful. His assistance was beyond appreciated as a young woman with limited knowledge about auto repair. I would highly suggest going here for any auto needs.

I had an urgent issue we thought was a fuse but it ended up being the wiper transmission. They were able to take care of me immediately and make sure it was done in time for me to pick it up. He worked on getting me the best deal out there and even checked out to make sure everything else was in good standings. I would definitely recommend going to this carx!

I was skeptical about Family Pack for oil change, but still decided to get it. Technician didnt put drain plug all the in!!! It is good that I caught it, otherwise they would owe me an engine. Went back to make it right and add more oil. Now I am stuck with Car-X for next 2 oil changes.

Kevin and his Staff member Mike are excellent people to work with, very friendly. they really know there cars, I had my tires rotated & oil change in a timely matter and doing a nice job.

They had replaced my engine oil pressure switch a month back. Recently the red light starting coming , they replaced the pressure switch for free and now no light is coming . Kevin thanks a lots for your help and attitude for getting this fixed

My first visit dealing with Nichole was very positive, however subsequent visits were bad experiences. Went in for a bearing replacement and was quoted double what another local shop quoted me. Third time I called and made what I thought was an appointment with John. He asked some basic questions regarding my tire size which I gave. I said I would arrive in 10 minutes, which I did, and was told they would get me in right away. Caution, John was not honest as I stood around waiting for 40 minutes until I finally asked for my keys and promptly left. John had a stand offish attitude, spoke to me in a condescending manner, tried to tell me I didnt know my tire size, total lie, and was not honest. I would strongly urge you to go elsewhere or only use this shop if Nichole is there. I will never deal with John or give my business to Car-x as a result of this poor treatment. I see why the parking lot is empty most days when I drive by.

Came in for an oil change and to find out why the vents were blowing out cold air when heater was on. The cheerfulness of the manager Kevin was a pleasure to see. The atmosphere was very pleasant. Honest hardworking and straight foward.I had my vehicle at the Just Tires next door and they recommended using CarX to take a look at a loose heat shield. The Guys at CarX walked over picked up my SUV and looked it over. They realized it was something simple and fixed it in less than 5 minutes. The manager said there would be no charge. They could have easily told me it was going to be $200 and I would have accepted that as I knew that Heat shields can be a problem.The honest and integrity of those men has earned my future business.

I’m writing this review for my mother who had her car serviced here today. The people at this CarX were extremely welcoming and the services were done extremely well. She felt that she was treated very kindly by everyone and she will definitely be returning here in the future. To the man who helped change the sticker on my mother’s license, a genuine thank you for your kindness and professionalism! The customer service here is the best my mom has ever experienced.

The only place that I trust taking my car to get service done where I know I can sit down with the mechanics and Brian Born and really make sure I evaluate all of my options in terms of service and repairs. Brian is one the most professional and polite employees I’ve encountered at any Automotive Service/Repair shop. He really took the time to explain what was wrong with my alternator and explained the issue I had by going in depth with what the parts do and why it needed to get swapped. I know that I can come in and get reliable, honest, and professional service, I thank this Car X and it’s employees for all the services and hard work they put into every car that rolls through those doors.

I was helped today by Kevin who squeezed in a tough tune-up job. He managed to knock it out by the end of the day and saved me a few bucks in the process. Kevin also got me a ride home, Thanks Car-X.

I brought my car in today to get the brakes looked at and the staff was amazing! They were very clear about what condition my cars parts were in and thorough in making various recommendations on what repairs were immediately necessary vs things that could be repaired later. They were courteous and quick and the waiting area was very tidy! Ill be a return customer for sure!

Couldn’t be more pleased with this location! My car kept overheating I took it to 3 places none of them couldn’t figure it out. I took it to this location and the mechanic nailed it on the spot! Come to find out my water pump was so bad it messed up a part that’s was connected to the camshaft it would of cost be thousands of dollars to replace they ended up finding a kit to connect to my camshaft save me thousands of dollars

3 days back I gave my car for servicing and paid for full synthetic oil change (93 USD). They didn’t check other oils and wheel is also making noise. Yesterday I felt my brake are not working then I went to local mechanic he checked and told me brake liquid level is low. Car X crew didn’t diagnose the car. I’m facing the problem now. Today I need to go Firestone to fix my wheel sound.

Kevin was very friendly. He gives honest estimates and on my second visit he fixed my car free of charge when other places would have snuck in a labor charge!

I had an excellent experience taking my car to CarX this afternoon. The manager Brian went above and beyond to take care of me today. Brian brought in my car immediately after checking in. He noticed my engine was full of sludge and helped me make an informed decision to have it flushed. Service was prompt, friendly, and helpful. Probably saved me some real pain down the road. Overall a real positive experience. I plan to continue giving this CarX my business in the future.

Took my car in for brakes today and was pleasantly surprised with the warranty. Got new pads and rotors under warranty. Got the front and rear brakes for what another shop quoted me just for front brakes.

Dont recommend this shop! If you want to overpay for car repairs, then this is the place for you. Was there today to change the oil for $ 50, but got a $ 763 bill instead and a lot of upsales.Very disappointed!

I have been a customer of there for 5yrs. I had a problem with a mgr. and when I called the following day the person who I guess was taking his place for the day had not been informed of my problem. Known of that being his fault although the way he handled it was unsatisfactory.I asked to speak to the supervisor of the store he said he had no idea. Im now extremely frustrated and told him to go askmechanic Mike he had worked on my car and the day before was getting the mgr. up to snuff on my situation. He put me on hold and told me that they were too busy in back and I said to answer with a name of a supervisor? Seriously anyway I asked him for a phone number of who I could call that may know. He didnt want to tell me. I told him this was unacceptable hung up and started the pursuit of finding that mysterious supervisor! After several disconnects wrong extensions etc etc I got a call from Supervisor Patrick he was wonderful and accommodating and helpful he took care of the rest. I went in the following day and to my surprise mgr.#3 was an old mechanic from there and customer if mine. They had moved him to manage that storeJason great mechanic and nice guy perfect for the position!!! Car fixed good deal excellent Supervisor Patrick and great Mgr Jason I will go back!

Great experience here. Have old Mercedes which needed new pumps for coolant system. Was quoted high prices at other mechanics, but prices was awesome at Car X. I worked with Nicole W., and the team did a quick troubleshoot and found out what was needed for my old car. People were beyond kind and helpful, also provided snacks and coffee while I waited. Updating my review, once again I went to my dealer and had a heart attack as they provided me a laundry list of scheduled maintenance while I went in for an oil change. I declined it all as the total wouldve equaled a mortgage payment. So I headed back to Car-X. New manager Jason pointed out that a lot of the items the dealer recommended to do had already been done at my last visit at Car-X! Then he told me details about the new brake/rotor warranty -- which I took -- and then gave me a discount on other service, that was already cheaper than what my dealer wanted to charge. They always provide me with their honest assessment of the issue and take care of it. Theyve even told me, no, you dont need to replace that at this time when they couldve padded the bill. Once again Kevin saved the day. Ive been having problems with my car and had it checked by different mechanics and was told different things. Kevin knew exactly what was wrong and took care of the issue. I dont know what my car would be like if it wasnt for him and his team.

I recently got the tires replaced on a recently purchased a used car that had a bad tire. We were told that the car’s alignment needed to be fixed because of the uneven wear on one of the tires that came off of the car. After replacing all four tires, we went to Car-X to get the alignment checked (as well as the oil life). The manager, Jason, helped us through the process, checked the alignment and the oil life, and told us that everything was aligned and that we didn’t even need an alignment or an oil change. This has probably been one of the easiest and MOST HONEST car maintenance experiences of my life. I recommend doing business with this store.

I have been to this location several times now and initially came as a result of another happy customer. Everyone has alwys been polite and professional. The mechanics always introduce themselves which I think is a nice touch. I worked with Mike to get new tires during my most recent visit. He was informative and patient with my questions. He made sure he offered me whatever he could by way of cost saving offers. I appreciate all he was able to do.

I had a complicated issue with my vehicle and brought my car back to Car X on multiple occasions. Car X had great customer service and looked over the car each time replacing parts and double-checking the systems they worked on until we finally found the issue and fixed it permanently. During the follow up visits Car X tossed the inspection and servicing fees because they were unable to identify and fix the issue during the initial visit which demonstrated great integrity and customer service on their part. I would recommend this location to anyone needing work on their vehicle.

This car X location has a very nice lobby and very clean bathroom which impresses me. The service they gave me was very thorough and cost-effective. They rotated and checked the balance on my tires no charge!I will definitely be back.

I call ahead if they can take me for an oil change. Yes, we can. I get my family to follow so they can pick me up while i leave the van. I get there 10 minutes after the call, 2 hours to closing. Yea i cant take that van I wont have time to change the oil. Great, good thing I called ahead to ask. What a 180° to the other two times I was in there for my other cars. I recommend telling them exactly what car you have even if they dont ask.

The manager here is one of the most professional (and just flat out nice) people that Ive met when it comes to this kind of job. I needed the thermostat replaced on my car, a repair which isnt easy, and he helped me in every way he could, including helping to find me the most inexpensive option. Plus, the location is easy to spot from the road, and if youre going to be there for a little while, its a short walk from a couple places to eat. This was my first time here, but even though I had to reschedule my appointment, they still helped me out and did their best to work with my schedule, even though I wasnt somebody theyre met before.Highly recommended. I will be back here.

Nicole is Great. The ace mechanic checked my breaks FREE. Better yet they found I had a leak in my PCV Valve.. above the engine under a plastic cover that had blown off!. To fix it you replace the engine top... expensiveALWAYS CHECK DEALER. Gave my VIN number...67,000 was under 100,000 and 2015 was just under 5 years. FREE. They lost the job but gained me as a customer. Thanks.

Great guys! I had my car worked on by another shop two days before, and my car started making horrible banging sounds from the back end. My other shop was closed on Saturday, but these guys were open and said I could bring it in. They took it for a very short spin and put it up on the lift. One of my rear wheels was so loose you could wiggle it back and forth! They tightened the lug nuts, and did the other three tires to be safe. That fixed the problem perfectly, and they didnt charge me a penny. I had them give me estimates on two more repairs I know I need eventually, and they were the same as my other shop, whom Ive trusted for years, so I know theyre not overcharging. My wife also had a repair done by them (new starter motor), and they did a good job, quickly, and didnt overcharge, so I give them a hearty 5 stars!

The one thing I like about them they seem to sincerely want to help you solve your car problems. Their prices are fair, service good. Service manager Byron/owner is outstanding. Their mechanics are very nice and seem honest.I have used them for several years and highly recommend them.

Great customer service. I wrote a review yesterday about an incident that I had at the Arlington Heights store and the District Manager (Nick) called me personally 3 hours later and we talked about what happened. Nick met me today at another location and checked the same brakes that were on back in February and saw that the brake pads were still in good shape on my car. He apologized for the brakes trying to be sold to me when I did not need them. He was great guy and he is truly looking out for the customers that use his business and his company. I will continue to take my car to CAR X, but I will be using a different location.

He took care of fixing my brakes and doing my oil change. He was very busy today, Tuesday, and yet he took care of me as if I was the only one who needed help. As a returning customer, today I dropped my Toyota car to this Car-X for checking Air-conditioner. After about one hour, the salesperson called me and told me to fix the A/C for $1,050. I was surprised because just a few months ago the cost was only $700 for change of the compressor and refill Freon. I asked why the price jumps so much. He said the compressor self costs $650. I checked the compressor price online (note: my car is 2001 Toyota, Corolla CE), the prices are between $200~350. He said I could bring my parts and he just charges labor. He feels I am not going to fix the A/C, and mentioned that the all four brakes need to be replaced. One thing was catching my attention---two drums for rear brakes. Why did the two drums need replaced? The technician said that the inside diameter is 187mm, its too big. I have no idea about the diameter should be as most of customers. But the drums look ok and I have no problem with the brakes. Because the two drums cost total $159.98 (parts=$59.99x2, labor=$20), I asked if I could keep the two drums. But Car-X refused. Since I had no choice, I let them change the drums. I decided to search the specification of the drum online, and found out the spec says the drum needs replaced only if the diameter is bigger than 200mm. My old drums are still usable. And the price of Bendix Drum which was the Car-X used for my car is only $24.24 (not $59.99). When I brought my questions to the salesman, l heard him said some F- word to his people when he got into the workshop.This was a horrible experience, and totally different than my previous experiences. The salesman said the previous owner-- Byron just retired three months ago. Things started changing. The new salesman made me feel differently. I see all the 5 stars reviews were posted at least one year ago, and I agreed with those review, and was the reason I became its customer. But now it is not worth 5 stars anymore. I would grade it as no stars at all if there was the choice.
