Brett is a very knowledgeable salesman who listens to what you need. He does not pressure you and gives you dedicated time with any car you are interested in. Luis is the best finance guy you will ever meet. He is honest, fair and beat any rate from a bank or credit union. I went to Fitz VW of Annapolis twice, once to drive a very nice Hybrid Rav4 and again to drive a Hyundai Santa Fe and a VW Passat. All were very nice and very clean used cars. Conrad assisted us over text, over phone, and over email leading up to our test drives and he rode along with me, talking me through how the car worked and helping me find the only two hills in Annapolis to evaluate the cars engine. He is very knowledgeable and such a fun guy to work with. Shopping for used cars in this crazy market time has been an exercise in frustration, with dealers adding adding $1-2k extra in BS addons when I showed up beyond the prices listed on websites. I was super pleased to find that Fitzgerald VWs online pricing is simple and honest, the listed $ + taxes and state fees, plus their clearly stated doc fee. Contacting them about a car, my salesman Anthony replied rapidly and was happy to work with me via text and email to get all the details aligned. Once we did a finance application, he held the keys - knowing that we were serious & coming from over an hour away.Arriving at the dealership, the car was waiting out front, freshly detailed and ready for our test drive to confirm there was no issues. Once we got back, the purchase process was drama free - no pressuring over extras, and completed in record time with the Sales Manager AJ. Fitzgerald has a 5 day / 250mi satisfaction guarantee, so when the next day I noticed some water leaking after a heavy rain, they took the car back in for service to make things right, offering me a loaner + delivery and a reset of the satisfaction period. The service department at Fitzgerald VW is overcharging for what you can get at other VW dealers for no charge. Specifically, Fitzgerald wants to charge you to look over your car (tires, belts, fluids, brakes, etc.) for almost $100, but other VW dealers do that as part of the standard oil change. If you live in Annapolis, don’t be afraid to drive 20 minutes to get better, more affordable service.Another Fitzgerald dealership in Annapolis, the Mazda dealership, simply stay away. They straight tell lies about the needs for your car. I was told I needed two tires to be replaced, as they could not be fixed. I, of course, would never get tires at a dealer, so I took the car elsewhere. I learned first that only one tire had a leak. I then learned the tire was repairable. I paid $20 to remedy my issue instead of the multi-hundred dollars the crooks wanted to charge me. Additionally, when claiming my tires were bad, they rotated my tires, which was an original request, instead of notifying me that it would be a wasted thing to do since I’d need to replace the tires. They just want your money and will lie to get it.

I have been coming to this dealer since 2007 and it will all stop after my experience with the service department on Friday. 1st your service tech Jennifer asked me why I wanted to get my tires rotated and balanced? I want it done thats why. Then $1500 for a brake job when I can get the parts for all 4 wheels for $221. Thats means 1300 for labor also not to mention that they tried to force $2000 worth of service on me. The service team here are scam artist over charging for parts and labor

What can I say. I read the reviews drove 1.5 hrs past 2 other VW locations and it was worth it. The service team is professional and courteous. Nice seeing women! My car got its 10k service. The drive home went with no issues. So far everything is awesome. Less than 45min turn around time and we were out the door. He didnt have to and I appreciate it very much. ]---------------------Not the best experience. First off, I felt like I was buying a used car from a morgue. Not looking for friendship but my salesman had zero personality and took the excitement of buying a car away instantly.Towards the end of my experience I was the one reaching out. Excuses like I was out of the office and I was tied up all day doesnt exactly make you feel like a priority. The office is as far as the smartphone in your pocket. If youre working for commission you hustle. No?That said, I paid $300+ (my choice) for a third party prepurchase inspection and found some significant issues with the car. They refused to either repair or reduce the purchase price so I could repair it. According to kbb the price was fair but only in top condition.I called and emailed the sales manager but he wouldnt return my calls. He must be busy.I basically paid money out of pocket to tell them what was wrong with their vehicle. I hope they dont sell it to someone without disclosing the issues. Fitz supposedly gave the car a 138 point inspection but missed some pretty simple things as well.I kept being reminded that the car passed MD inspection but thats not exactly an iron clad process, thus the ppi.Finally, in all fairness, I am not an average customer. I ask a lot of questions. I might make people work a little harder but I work hard to earn, why not you? The ideal customer asks no hard questions and doesnt try to bargain. If thats you, by all means, shop here.

I have purchased over 6 cars from Fitzgerald over the years. I like the no-hassle treatment that the various Fitz dealers give you concerning add-ons and warranties. Going in knowing how much the car costs before the trip reduces the stress of buying a car substantially. The salesmen, management, finance, etc are all pleasant to work with and are very honest. I always recommend Fitz to my friends and colleagues. For service work, the mechanics are top notch, the work is done properly the first time.

I had a great experience with my salesman, Bret! My car broke down right before I was to drive it to vacation. I had one day to find a vehicle before I had to drive 8 hours away. When I found the one I liked it was an hour and a half away from where I lived so not only did Bret help me do most of the paperwork over text, he stayed late just to help me out when I got there. Once I got there, everything went smoothly and I was out of there in less than an hour (including the test drive.) They also one-day shipped my plates to me once they came in so that I wouldn’t have to drive all the way back. One month later, I couldn’t be happier with my 2014 4Runner. Thanks for making a not so great day, awesome!

I went here yesterday to get some work done on my Volkswagen. I knew the problem I explain to them what the problem was. They created a problem that was not a problem they over charged me. I was looking for a Volkswagen repair shop. Im sorry I went there. Very unhappy with the way they did this. I will never go there again. I would rather travel 10s of miles to find another Volkswagen repair shop.

Quick, nice waiting room, WIFI

Closed an hour and a half early even though there were still workers inside they did not open the door or assist us. They were not helpful but we found a car we liked so they told us to come back the next day to test drive it (because they didn’t want to help us now) and put a deposit down on it and they sold it before we even got there.

Trying to get a Hitch installed on a 2020 Atlas. Parts tells me to get with service to see if it’s already wired, which will save over $300 and about an hour of labor for them. Show up to get this done and I’m told there’s a $75 fee for the inspection. Nickel and dime-type dealership for sure, especially when I’m about to spend $1,100 for a hitch installation.

New to the area, I took my VW to Fitzgerald Volkswagen for the first time. The attendant who assisted me to get my car checked in for service was not polite. While getting my car checked in, she asked me if I was also getting my tires rotated.The way she asked made it sound like I was missing out on a promotion or something, so I asked if the tire rotation was complimentary. In response, the attendant scoffed and laughed at me as though it was a stupid thing to ask. The service performed on my car, simply an oil change, was fine. I will not return to this dealership.

Many of the 5 star reviews here do not seem real. (One is from an employee in the shop for example.) I would prefer to write a 5 star myself, but Im going to give a real one instead. I had a pretty crummy encounter here today that required an escalation to the service manager at the top level, Don. Don doesnt seem to understand the basic customer service tenets of respecting a customers time or the need to apologize when the technicians have failed to test if a newly replaced part is working correctly before turning the car back to the customer.. Since hes the top guy, he sets the tone for the rest of the staff. Its not OK to treat any customer this way ever, and especially not after I just paid $1500. I will spend my money somewhere else next time, and you should too.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I went to look at an xt4 and the sales manager was not very friendly to begin with. There were 4 employees in the front of the building standing around smoking right by the door and one of them which was the manager, while I waited over 30 minutes just to get a sales person to help me. Cigarettes are gross and I have a hard time breathing around them why would that be the first thing you would want your customers to be greeted by? Especially the Manager? Unprofessional amd the building was run down and falling apart. Not a good look.

The big gentleman with grey hair that works in the Volkswagen parts department is about the rudest person I’ve dealt with. He is completely incompetent and has terrible customer service. This isn’t my first time dealing with him. I will never recommend anyone to this business ever as long as he is an employee

Took my 2012 VW Routan in for service; great crew. Replaced front brakes, replaced the battery and made sure the vehicle ready for the road!

After researching and test driving several cars, I had my heart set on a Volkswagen Sportwagen SEL with silk blue metallic exterior and beige interior. I contacted several dealers in the DMV but was told that the color combination I wanted was rare and couldn’t be found. When I called Fitzgerald in Annapolis, I spoke with Christopher Veilleux, who told me he would look for the car and get back to me. Sure enough, within a few days he found the car I was looking for, but in NJ. He asked me if I still wanted it, I assured him I did, and he initiated a trade with the dealer in NJ. From my standpoint, this was exceptional customer service. Not only did he go above and beyond in trading the car, he did so without any kind of down payment on my part. I highly recommend Chris because of his professionalism and easy-going manner. It was a pleasure doing business with him.

Professional. I was in automobile industry for little while and authentically say that Fitzgerald VW Annapolis are superb.I have a bad horrible experience with Antwerpen VW Pasadena, MD. There, A lady manager and the gang spent more time arguing and cover their incompetence then solve problem. After ripped me $3200 for VW Routan and fixed nothing.

My wife and myself visited Fitz VW of Annapolis for the first time, as we had many questions on the Info Center. in our recently purchased 2018 Tiguan. Great vehicle, but many open issues left unanswered by the dealer we bought it from.Firstly, Sales Mgr AJ Tucker listened to our problem and immediately said...come on in . Upon arrival, Conrad Bergman, the Super Sales Associate jumped to our rescue and took control of our problem...spending nearly 45 minutes re-presenting the Info Center capabilities. He was like an Auto Professor and had the answer to 99% of our questions...and the ones he didnt know, said Ill check on that. Most certainly the best Sales Experience I have ever had in 45 years of auto trading, buying and being in the car business with GM and Alfa Romeo.What a great experience and we followed that up with a few questions in their Service Dept...they were equally responsive and said they can handle all during our first service appt. Wow! Another homer!Only wish we would have bought our Tiguan there..as Jack says..Theres just no better way,5 Star performance from AJ, Conrad Bergman of Sales and Fitz VW service...it cant get any better! Make sure you buy your next car from CONRAD......hes got all the answers and is backed by a great Service Dept.!
