Everything was perfect with WD Door. I wouldnt go anywhere else for a garage door. From the moment I called, the service was excellent. The salesman called right away to set up an appointment. He came over and showed me the options they have, told me when itd arrive, and when theyd install it. Once it was in, he called right away and the workers came at the time told to me, no window needed to block off. Called right after the Derecho to replace our garage door, and was told a sales person would contact us. Called a second time, and was told we were on the waiting list, they were busy, and someone should be reaching out soon. My initial call was sober 5 weeks ago, and I’ve never heard from them. Needless to say, I will never do business with them again.

Worst service ever! The guy did not know the prices of parts. I feel he was randomly just giving prices. When asked if there was any warranty on the work he did he said he doesn’t know and told me to call the office to find out. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone!

Just had our garage door openers replaced by WD. Our garage doors now open quietly and we get to enjoy the newer technology! Love that I can open the garage door before I even get near the door. Working with Victoria from Wayne Dalton doors was a lovely experience. After my initial inquiry, she quickly set up an appointment with me to discuss our garage door options. I loved the fact that regardless of color and style all the doors were the same price.After deciding on our doors, I asked for handles in case the electricity went out and Victoria gave me a number of options - from handles to a battery back-up. Typically with handles you also purchase decorative hinges but since my husband wasnt a fan, Victoria worked it out where we only had to pay for the handles. Great customer service!The doors are installed and not only do they look great they also function great! Very bad installation in a year and a half old house with big gaps on the sides of both garage doors and on the top. The gaps are just too great for keeping some of the cold temperatures out. Inside the garage is just as cold, as it is outside. On top of that, the doors are cheap sheet metal with no insulation at all. By the way, the builder chose the doors, and not me. We just bought the house five months ago. It’s almost pointless to have garage doors if they can’t prevent a bit of the freezing temperatures. We can’t even keep a case of bottled water inside the garage without getting frozen. I also noticed the wheels inside the rails seem a bit small and when the wind blows, it pushes the doors inside, creating even bigger gaps. I will never - ever - recommend Wayne Dalton garage doors. Especially uninsulated garage doors. It should be illegal to sell them in states where cold weather is brutal like it is here in Iowa. Thank you Wayne Dalton.

Quick and timely response to repair request. Old opener was shot. Able to install a new opener in a timely manor. The price was what they gave as an estimate. Just a little annoyed they forgot to put a light bulb in the new opener.There would of been one on the old unit. Came recommend from a friend, and Id recommend them to anyone! (Just be prepared to use your own light bulb)

Merle, from WDdoor came and was able to reattach our garage door opener to the header in our garage. He did this quickly and thoroughly. When he finished he also inspected and adjusted our door. We are so impressed with Merles work.

The spring broke on my 6 year old Wayne Dalton door early Saturday morning. I called the 24 hour on call number 6 times. I texted it twice. I left a message on their machine. By the time they called me Monday morning, I had someone else at my house fixing it. Not impressed.

The customer service lady was very rude to me both times I spoke to her. I called early morning and she said “I guess I’ll put you on our standby list”. She called again at 4pm and yelled at me. Since I was put on standby I called around and another company was able to come out. She did not call me before sending a truck to my house. She did not call me at 3pm like she initially said. She called at 4pm and said “how dare you call another company”. Very unprofessional and very upset with how she treated me. I think her name was Rachel.

My overall experience in dealing with WD Door has been great. From my initial phone call to schedule service to the field service man that came to my house. He called me ahead of time to let me know he was on his way and what time he would be arriving. When he arrived at my house, on time, he introduced himself, inspected my garage door for the problem I was having, informed me what the problem was and how much the repair was going to be. He was very professional, courteous and personable. After fixing my door he cleaned up the old parts and packages and didnt leave a mess behind. WD Door and the employees I dealt with should be proud of the way they treat their customers. I am very happy WD Door cares about me as a customer. Good job WD. Keep up the good work.

I recently built a new home and had some specific needs. Working with the WD Door Team was a great experience from start to finish. Beginning with the counsel I received from Brad Wharff to the execution of their installation team. They installed Hass insulated 18x8 and 10x8 doors with thermal pain windows. Coupled with two Lift Master side mounted openers with MyQ technology, on high lift track systems giving me full utilization of my work space. I am very particular...and they hit it out of the park!

I purchased Wayne Dalton Torquemaster Original springs for my garage door through an online North Shore garage door place. The springs were Wayne Dalton and they were sent to me via the mail. After installing the springs I had a balance issue with the Wayne Dalton garage door. So i emailed the North Shore place and they gave me a 800 number which directs me to the Ankeny WD dealer. This is the only option for technical help..and a lady confirmed that the door was installed in 2005 but since I did not order the springs directly from WD then she could not tell me if they are correct or not. They will not offer technical help on a door made by them! or parts with their name on them supplied by a WD dealer! Furthermore I had to start raising my voice some in trying to find out WHO I CALL FOR TECHNICAL HELP! PRETTY OBVIOUS THEY DO NOT OFFER IT! THEN THE LADY BLURTS OUT I CANNOT HELP YOU AND HANGS UP! SERIOUSLY! TOTAL THUMBS DOWN ON THIS PLACE..GOOD GRIEF!

Did GREAT job! Needed my opener repaired, & they were able to send a guy over the next day. After he completed the task I requested, he inspected everything else, and took care of a few other things that otherwise would have cuased us issues in the near future! And price was very reasonable!!!

I couldnt be happier with the services I received on my garage door! It has never run so quietly and smoothly in the 2 1/2 years Ive owned my home. My car had an unfortunate encounter with the door, and the first company that came out to provide a quote told me I would need to replace the bottom panel and also said the track was bent and needed replaced. The WD Door rep said he felt he could simply fix the piece that had been pulled off the bottom panel and adjust the door as needed--he said the track was fine. Clearly he was right because the door is working like a charm with an hour of service work. When it comes time to replace my door, I will definitely be contacting your company!

Had a spring let go unexpectedly on my garage door with my car stuck inside. The service manager got someone scheduled for same-day service, and the tech repaired the problem for a good price and was done by the time he had originally said he would arrive. Very happy!

Had WD door out to fix a spring on one side of my garagr door. After the spring was fixed the repairman engaged the motor with the door misaligned and in a far higher position than normal. My wife and I heard awful noises and the repairman proceeded to run to the door trying to pull it straight literally yelling OH NO! repeatedly as my wife and I watched. He then comes to the door hands me a bill and says after he hooked up the new spring the motor wasnt working. Never had a problem with the motor before this, never tried to engage my door with it in such a high position, never heard or saw it bind like that until the guy repaired it. One thing is for sure the motor worked before this man messed with it. He also rushed out of my house after handing me the bill about a minute after HE broke it while my wife and I watched. The motor worked fine when he engaged it after hooking up the new spring it bound hard and then he said the motor was broke.

I had an issue with two of my openers that was hard to detect. Two technicians tried several things. Marg called me back and said they wanted to try one more thing before looking at replacing them. They came out and solved the problem and everything works perfectly. Marg and the two techs she sent out were fantastic. GREAT COMPANY!!!

Shop around you can do better then WD Doors..We had a small crack in our garage door so I called to have somebody come look at it and to see if it was under warranty.They had sent out a repairman, I told him I dont want a bandaid put on it because the door still works fine I just wanted to know if it was still under warranty.I had fresh concrete I was working on so I had to get back to my project.When I have finished I discovered he had put a 10 pound angle iron on my garage door,,, and charge my wife and I$129.00I was not happy-!I called to complain about the charge, the person I talked to said the receptionist had sent off the wrong person and that I needed a salesman.So the next week a salesman showed up to look at my door he said he would not refund my money but I could apply it towards a new door.I did some research and found out My door was covered for warranty because of the rust, when I pointed this out to the sales man he said that the fact that I had installed styrofoam insulation on my garage door that voided my warranty.I asked him why that was, he said that I cannot add any weight to my garage door. ....humm... I quickly pointed out to him that his repair man just placed a 10-pound angle iron on my garage door and I asked him did that not void my warranty also?Finally he said he would take pictures of the rust and send it in for warranty he said he would be back that night to take pictures, we never ever saw or heard from him again.To me the mark of a good company is how it takes care of a disgruntled customer and this company did not do that-!They may be all happy to take your money at the beginning of the sale but watch out when it comes to warranty work as they will not honor it.We never got our money back we never heard from them again-!.... we still have that angle iron on our garage door and Im still not happy, so do your homework go elsewhere as this company has terrible customer service.

I have been a customer of WD Door in Ankeny, Ia. for over 15 years. Their products and service are outstanding. My latest experience with them was January 8th and 9th, 2015. I had an issue with my door opener and when I called their office, two of the employees in the office(Tieryn and Allison) went above and beyond giving me information to help me repair the problem myself. I was able to fix the opener saving a service call. This is an outstanding company with outstanding employees such as these two. As a very value conscious person, I would highly recommend their products and service to anyone.

We heard good things about WD Doors from a few people and decided after building our 24x30 garage that we would give them a chance and see what they had for garage doors. We called, (always dealt with Ryan Spooner) picked what doors we wanted and we received our bid. We said ok lets order them. (Pretty easy sale in my book.) After we got word that our doors were in, we were trying to figure out a day they could be installed. My husband happened to a have a day off on a Tuesday and explained to Ryan that it would work out great for us if they could install them that day. He said he needed to speak to his boss and he would get back to us. We emailed him 2 days later to see if we were on for Tuesday and he said he still needed to talk to his boss. He said he would call us back.... Nothing... We ended up calling him TUESDAY morning to see if we were getting our doors that day and he said No.. They couldnt do it. My husband then asked if there was anyway the doors could be installed on a Saturday so he didnt have to take another day off. He said he would figure that out and call us back.. Its been 3 weeks...... and nothing...... Never heard from him again.. We ended up call Amega Doors. We arent going to beg or chase a company to take our $3000! I would absolutely never recommend this company to anybody. And maybe its not so much the company as it was the salesman, but your only as strong as your weakest link, and he definitely needs a refresher in customer service. We wasted over a month of our time on this company. We have yet to have our garage doors installed from Amega because we had to order them AGAIN! But so far so good with Amega!
